What is patriotism to you?

Do you feel proud for national, and maybe cultural, virtues?
What about feelings of superiority?

Would you probably feel more,
or less,
proud of your nation
if we had exceptional health caring integrity?
Including physical

and spiritual
and natural
and democratic health?

What is nationalism?

Usually positive values about monocultural
monotheistic
monopolistic
monochromatic caste protection.

What is a resiliently good social value?

Not a disastrously bad anti-social disvalue?

Again?

Well, OK, whatever
falls into what we agree is not unhealthy
reversing rich polyculturally interdependent
wealth power with international others
health power over deadening climate despair.

Have we not had considerably too much experience
with national-cultural-religious superiority?
complexities
leading to toxic totalitarian parochialism,
irritatingly irreligious patriarchalism
pious patrimony
without any passionate matrimony

Why can’t we redefine patriotism
as organic EarthTribe’s
neurosensory compassionate maturity?

I suppose we could,
but maturity based on what standard of not immature?

Well, where do we now base national winning superiority
versus loser inferiority?

Some economists start with gross trends
in National Production.

Could we at least compare GNP to Gross National Consumption?
Maybe look at this prime producing/consuming ratio
across the past several years
of economic health care
resiliently re-connecting
sacred-mind = organic-body
wealth liberating and health conserving
co-investment.

So performance-based WholeEarth patriotism
rises and falls
with whether national production balances consumption?
Of what?

Of healthy bodies and wealthy minds, I would neuropsychologically guess.
But, I suspect robust inter-religious
compassion/pleasure patriotism
win/win mind/body virtues peak
where enlightened consumption
and empowering production
approach bilateral compassion,
AnthroMind/EarthBody
re-connecting wealth+health
planetary intersectional balance

Pleasing EarthTribe’s resonant peace,

Monks and nuns,
ascetics and miscellaneous humbled folks,
were taught custody of the eyes,
to show respect for those older
and/or wiser
and/or more supremely royal,
and/or in other positions of merited or inherited authority

To avoid appearing too curious
too available
too interested,
too assertive

To avoid peculiarly anthropocentric temptations
of sexual violence, and envy, and possibly gossip
(although I do wonder what crows crow about)

To avoid that part of our Anthropocene reality show
only meant for the real influential adults
in their exclusive clan rooms,
on private cult screens
and sold out monoculturing stages

Creeping across hedge and boundary and caste issues
of whom is worthy to be seen
and who is best with eyes cast down.

Black sons and brown daughters of enslavement
were taught custody of the eyes
and listening ears,
and curious nose,
and capable hands,
and impassioned mouths,
and preferably illiterate minds,
because what may be nutritious for Western White
