Attachments and Aversions

I wonder if
what Buddhist meditation teachings
refer to as “attachments”
and “aversions,”
a medical doctor
might label with different words,
such as addiction
and dissociative diversions.

In both frames
illusions may be recognized
and respected
as deep opportunities to learn;

Illusions and delusions are depreciated
as too risky
not to repress with blame
and suppress with shame
devoid of any therapeutic
transporting
transformative
transparent (not self-shaming)
and vulnerable (not other-blaming)
communication
with our performing EgoTherapist minds
and our engaging EcoTherapist bodies

Illusions, illustrations,
dreams and fantasies,
losses and gains,
attachments that can become obsessions
compose sensory attractions

Whether smells and tastes,
touch and feelings,
sights and sounds,
exterior reception or interior inception

May have potential
to therapeutically transport
away from addictive-compulsive behaviors
and ideations
toward a less self-obsessed integrity

Away from impulsive self-serving,
potentially predative, anthropocentric
caste preserving attractions

And toward co-passionate
and resilient pleasure

Cooperatively intended
hoped
good-faithed
good-humored

Loved,
eco-politically
and personally
and bilaterally
bicameral ego+eco integral wealth
mind+body synergetic health

Becoming completely satisfied
sufficient
simple
centered in HereSpace+NowTime

Learning from past sensory satisfying memories
informing future images
imagining resonant and resilient pleasures
climatically encompassing
all of the above
compassion+pleasure.

Addiction to cooperative multicultural
multigenerational
regenerational
and bicameral left+right
bilateral spirit-mind+nature-body
peak sensory experiences
present healthier passions and pleasures
than addictions to competitive mono-culturing
and mono-theistic
and caste preserving predator v prey
sensory risk ambivalence inside
and systemic trauma impinging
from outside

Where relationships don’t necessarily smell
or taste inviting,
don’t necessarily feel gratifying to touch
or feel inside my mind+body,
don’t transformationally transport
when compromised win v lose truth is heard
but win+win beauty is not seen,
falling short of healthy co-passion
for EarthMother’s vast polyamorous

Are you,

And how this anticipation
of restoring justice
through green/blue healthy democracy climates

has been influenced,

In hindsight,

I first began reflecting on

Who is my social capital competitiveness
willing to sacrifice,
to bully,
shun,
ignore,
snub,
disempower,
leave behind
because of their hopelessly unclean sin?

So I could more clearly emerge
among my monotheistic caste peers
as an orthodox MAGA ‘winner’

A judging God of Retributive Justice emulator,
blamer and shamer,
not listening mis-communicator,
winner v loser evolutionist
of an anthropocentric
slowly degenerating
undivine
not redemptive EarthView.

Willing to sacrifice
and capitalistically exploit Earth Her sacred Self,
in my silent shaded closet
focusing on a rapturous Heavenly climax
after the straight white Father’s great self-righteous
rapacious red rage.

Which is something rather punishingly different
and anxiety reproducing
as compared to anticipating
a green EarthBound Rapture
catalyzed by healthy democratic empowering
and cooperatively enlightening restoration
of egoMind+ecoBody
therapeutic Earth Justice.

What, of your own potential integrity,
internal multicultural interests
and faith-filled curiosities,
is your current internal monocultural win v lose efficiency
for hoarding currencies of social success markers,
such as “annual six figure income”?

I’m not sure I understand your question.
Is our household income over $100,000?
Am I a faithful federal military-industrialized taxpayer?
Yes, of course.

What and whom are you willing to leave behind
wound
kill
starve
boycott
excommunicate
impeach
lock up?

How do your faith communities shut out awareness
of other green restorative currencies for success,
such as win+win integrity,
multicultural, multigenerational neighborhood social synergy,
polyamorous commitments to inclusive consciousness,
to transparent authenticity,
to vulnerable sentience
willing to risk personal honesty
about closeted upper caste defensive deviancy,

Now who’s bullying
and overpowering
and not effectively communicating
so much as competitively evangelizing?

Who and what do your religious dogmas
exclude from grace
that your spiritual and natural cultural interests,
your attractions and anxieties
would include as stretch goals
for better healthy wealth of communication
which includes respectful listening more
and preaching disregard less?

We talked about Howard Odum’s natural trinity
of altruism.

Maybe I skipped that day
way back in premillennial times
before Permaculture Design had taken over deep learning development.
Who is Howard Odum
and how does his natural trinity
diverge from my traditional Holy Trinity?
Or, maybe it doesn’t.

Howard Odum was an early systems theorist
who studied ecosystemic trends
of nutrition building and disintegrating
of sustainable polycultural balance
and runwaway monocultural disasters
like climate and culture and communication
anti-nutritional pathologies.

Did you just say
climate change derives from monocultural overshoot,
an anthropocentric weed patch
taking over our communal garden,
also known as organic Earth?

I guess,
but in this case the weed patch
is over-commodified
LeftBrain dominant
anthropoids.
Odum’s natural trinity of altruism
is about climates of interdependent health,
and not for developing monocultural monopolies
like monotheistic anthropocentrism.

I’m sure I missed this class,
if they even had it back in my Baby Boomer day.

You probably just got the Holy Trinity part,
when you studied metaphysics.
I don’t think they were teaching organic physical theory
when you took MultiCultural Civics Organization classes;
although Howard was published well before your high school years.

It probably took a while for educators
to sort out the health and wealth significance
of ecosystemic balance,
rather than merely lecturing against issues
of unsustainable imbalances
hoping for healthy democracy optimizing,
polyculturing,
and, thereby, self+other polyamorous systems
as win+win wellness,
and not so much win v lose sickness.

Anyway, so is there a summary version of this natural trinity
that you might share?

Well, yes, I suppose the basic idea is as simple
as any convex and therefore also concave co-binary triangle.

I’m already lost.
No recall of convex and concave
in my Holy Trinity.

Let’s see…
OK, Odum’s natural trinity
is a dynamic model for balancing organic energy investments,
but at two levels.

The individual anthropocentric biosystem.
And, the collective EarthMother pro-life support system,
conceived as a nondualistic
ongoing space/time
body/mind ecosystem
sharing Earth together
as one organic/sacred
pleasure/compassion-seeking Body.

At both of these levels,
individual and higher-order interdependent civil,
about a third of energy invested into the system
is required for healthy metabolic regeneration
of each and every organic ego-system.

Another consumed third of energy
feeds back to (concavely) sustain mutually subsidiary bioregions,
providers of interdependent fuel and energy and relationship.

The last captured third of energy
produces re-investments outward
to what Odum calls
“higher-order [convex] system controllers.”

Do you have an example?
What might be one of my potential investments
in a higher-order nurture/nutrition system?

Well,
in class
the hierarchical trinity we used
was grass in relationship with rabbits
in relationship with a predator,
like a fox,
for example.

So the rabbit’s energy waste fuels the grass,
and the more vulnerable rabbits feed the foxes.

Yes, especially the young and lame.
The ones who see and sniff and move less well.

I don’t see how that works out so well as a trinitarian third.
If you are young or lame or blind, especially.
But how does Odum approximate this one-third math
at the individual creature level?

That’s what we’re talking about in class.
I would imagine
if you view successfully hunted and devoured
from a predator’s perspective
you might feel the prey had made nearly a 100% re-investment,
perhaps omitting the larger bones,
in your higher-caste controlling species.
Perhaps a hungry pride of lions.

This natural trinity of altruism
seems to suffer in the end
from gluttonous taking without needing
and less compassionate giving without needing to be asked,
which is what I thought altruism was more about.

I suppose Odum was imagining a healthy polyculturing life-support system
as a resonantly deep-concave and wide-convex whole organic system,
in which about one third of ego-support generation,
as seen from a monotheistic perspective,
redeems the other two-thirds sacrifice
by feeding the metabolic thrival needs
of higher-order predators,
controlling risks of overpopulation,
leading to monocultural climates and communications
of descending, and increasingly rabid,
monopolistic pathology.

You mean like mother pigs eating their young
to better feed those remaining in her litter?

OK, if that actually happens
I’m not sure I wanted to know about it.
Also, if that happens,
then we are talking about an out of balance survival system
between older and younger generations within the same species.

Perhaps Odum was speaking of some Gaia Hypothesis balance
of energy and communication transfers.
Really big picture.
Global.
Polypathic energy exchanges.

And maybe higher order systems
are not limited to upper-caste predators.
Perhaps a higher order ecosystem
might nurture bioregional victims
of Earth’s imbalance,
especially our young and wounded
unenlightened and disempowered
by sensory blindness
and malnourished ego-identity expansion,
continuation

Until we each rediscover
that pain and loss and death
could be revisited
reconceived
reconnected
re-ligioned
as equal to two-thirds of compassionate life
and polyculturing gain
through monoculturing absence,
concave emptiness,
loss of egocentric Win v Lose investment,
divestment of upper-caste monotheistic self
as re-investment in Whole PolyCultural System
compassionate communion balance.

So, that would be the inter-religious connection, then,
between Odum’s natural trinity of altruism
and Christianity’s Holy Trinity
of and for EarthMother’s polytheistic
polyamorous altruism.

Where is Holonic Spirit
in this nondualistic trinity
of convex-eco control
with concave-ego nurturance
co-binary producing resilient healthy wealth
of ego/eco-systemic Whole Organic Earth?

That would be the middle ego/eco
co-passionate/pleasure
mind/body balance,
growing out to extend family identity
to include gratitude for annoying cousins
unenlightened politicians
disempowering judges
extending on through our individual biosystemic losses
pains
aches
depressions
systemic traumas
dispassionate/displeasing challenges
to personal higher order thrival.

So, with all that said,
do you both think and feel
that you learned anything enlightening
and empowering at school today?

As I said, maybe.
I’m not sure yet.

Radically Religious Love

We are surrounded,
sometimes aversively beset,
upset,
by diverse too hot v too cold
felt attributes of love.

We have each known and felt candidates for resonance,
waiting for our more precise,
yet also generous,
articulation.

Those remaining who believe unfettered capitalism
must grow for sake of appropriate and necessary civil liberties,
secured and maintained
even with military industrialized precision of commodified violence
and at least threat of strong and superlatively armed offenses,
abuse and systematic nutritional neglect,
within our own corporal and capital punishing tribes,
wherein defensive strategies have grown dissociated from conserving organically resonant health
in our local and state armed militias
contractually ready to represent us through arrest and fines
for crimes of poverty
and self-medication,
addiction and absent self-esteem
and lack of behavioral health and safety assurance,
and in our well-capitalized politicians,
not necessarily experienced with judicious win/win diplomacy
even within their own extended family lives,
living in lack of love-leadership cities;
this BusinessAsUsual remaining ungrateful portion
of Earth’s self v other defensive citizens
must be invited by and through mentors
refining attributes of sacred compassion
and organic pleasure.

We need to cool down strong words for sacred outrage.

It has been said
God’s love, like humane love,
can be ruthless against injustice.
Better: relentlessly for peace.

It has been said
Love sometimes requires us to behave savagely.
Better words encourage us to behave wildly and radically
and profoundly forgiving
with gratitude to GaiaEarth
for this anthropocentrically held
extravagant and elegant
co-operative vocation.

It has been said
Sacred love is committed to destroying illusions
born of anger and fear and hatred’s nightmares,
mistrust growing active distrust

Biting the Hand that Feeds

Yesterday I heard a happy Republican
crediting President Trump’s self-proclaimed successes
to his training and experience with consumer-driven accountability;
meaning,
I presume,
his for-profit experience with promotion-driven consumerism.

Now I realize this for-profit wealth of experience
outside Washington,
untainted by prior pubic sector experience,
appears compelling for how he became President Trump
as opposed to continuing as private sector Emperor Trump,
although there is some concern that these two have become the same,
a monstrous hybrid of kleptocracy
and autocracy,
but what does all this say about us?
that we think a lifetime of public service legislation
is less consumer market driven
than a lifetime of private sector management?

I mean
isn’t a democratic government
supposed to be cooperative production
of consumer-citizen satisfaction,
health and happiness and prosperity,
nonviolent communication
cooperative co-investment
and all those other family familiar virtues
we originally declared
as root of our sustainable interdependence?

So, how is this presidential choice not taking a further step
precisely in the wrong, even more caste privileged,
self-promoting,
His Royal Highness
monotheistic direction?

Maybe this happy Republican business advocate
was touting the virtues of more competitive experience
in autonomous response to other capital-driven markets,
the advertised commercial success
emerging from past personal wealth
of big dollar intake outcomes.

Self-promoting budgets,
bully pulpits,
proclaim autonomously held glorious greed,
pitched to larger and larger consumer markets,
promoting incoming revenues
exceeding outgoing revenues.

And yet this is not at all a consumer-citizen satisfaction business
President Trump is successfully selling
within this republican enterprise.

His burgeoning budgets further increase expenditures beyond revenue
when he could move toward balance
by eliminating his proposed tax-revenue cuts
and by turning the bomb dropping
drone happy military
into tree planting militias
in areas of stressed toxic-climate concern.

But,
as long as we continue electing NRA Presidents
for their caste privileged experience
and self-promotional training,
responding to competitive marketing campaigns,
we will continue to receive a competing bicameral absence of cost-effective legislation
with no explicit investment
in our cooperative health care
and compassionate communication education values,
rooted in co-empathic trust
rather than capitalism’s bottom line
of chronically competitive mistrust,
rooted in Win v Lose survivalist theories
rather than Win+Win cooperatively thriving
democratic deep listening experience.

How can we expect any President
or legislature
to produce cost-effective budgets
with resiliently healthy democratic outcomes
when we continue to choose denial of transparent accountability
for measuring cooperative co-investment outcomes
against greed consuming personal wealth investments
that actually disinvest away from future generations
of mental and physical health production outcomes?
healthy soil and water,
healthy climates and landscapes,
healthy extending families and GoldenRule polycultural grace

Not so much rich caste dividends
only for those stock-investors
who choose to remain stuck inside anthropocentric dissociation

Denying what’s happening outside
their privileged real estate,
malformed by navel-gazing competitions
all monotheistic day
and monotonous night,
ego-maniacally exclaiming against panentheistic values
of Gaia’s intrinsically cooperative health
sustaining earthy networks of wealth.

Little wonder so many homeless
and autistic
and chronically ill
people feel compelled to live marginalized lives outdoors
where Earth’s larger canopy feels more therapeutic
than indoor competing anthropocentric
monotheistic caste toxins.

Watch out for lowly peace-makers,
for we are inheriting what’s left of Earth
after the Great Anthropocene Kill.

ReForesting Therapy

Deep listeners, like seeds, are germinators.
Generation wears two faces,
as does development,
positive and negative,
regeneration and degeneration.

Some seeds are healthier than others.
Some are positively deviant, atypically robust,
and others are negatively deviant, flawed,
dissonant,
missing a shared median mark
some would see as sin,
which can be forgiven within oneself
by learning to forgive others
for our considerable
but largely unconsidered
negative deviant seeds.

Bill Mollison exhorts us to a global therapeutic project:
Reforesting the Earth
is one of the few tasks
left to us
to express our humanity.

This feels true and right and good,
hopeful and prophetic and WinAnthro/WinEarth,
and yet mysterious and incongruous
transformation rather than deportation.

It raises questions,
like a good parable,
and wisdom literature in general.

I can think of a time within nation-state histories
and even extended family,
tribal development stories,
when some wise patriarch might have said:
Deforesting this place
is one of the few tasks
required of us
to optimize our divine-humane potential.

Did we really have to deforest
to develop a FiveStar FirstWorld Class
to fulfill healthy humane curiosity

Much could be said about how we need to modify formal education
and the [competitively capital-hungry] media
so they can contribute better to the [polytheistic
polyamorous
polypathic] revolution,
but we need to recognize several fundamental
[Leftbrain verbally dominant thought] problems.

First,
almost all education,
and especially higher [yet not necessarily deeper] education,
is [redacted] knowledge from secondary [audio-visual] sources,
interpreted through [competing specialist] frameworks
of [limited intersectional] understanding.

Academic [exegetical LeftBrain dominant] training
that requires every idea and concept be referenced to refereed published [also LeftBrain verbally dominant] sources
is the extremity of this [conserving rather than transitioning, liberating] approach
to [reiterative memorization
of what once was normatively true
and necessarily so,
yet perhaps not exclusively or even sufficiently true
for all times and spaces and complex systems,
win+win yang/yin cobinary hypothetically tensioned with win v lose, 0-sum.]

Second,
information technology has accelerated the speed of circulation,
retrieval
and reproduction of [healthy v toxic] information
[v disinformation].
The [commercial] professional packaging
of [LeftBrain reductive] secondary experience
in [massively networked] media
promises faster and better ways
to [LeftBrain access others’] learn[ing].

For instance,
in comparison to the wildlife [ecological healthy/toxic] observation skills
and original [6-sensory-neural
sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, feel
internal positive/negative compassion/dispassion felt)
thinking.

Third,
almost all formal scientific education is based on bottom-up reductionist [STRUGGLING EITHER/OR AGAINST BothAnd] thinking
[screening out cognitive-affective dissonance,
negative unresolved non-resonant neuropsychological issues].

While the [cooperative multi]cultural harvest from specialized reductionist thinking over the last few hundred years
has been great
[and continues to accelerate],
it is the [cooperatively self-organizing] integration
and [transubstantiating] cross-fertilization of concepts
and
[feeling potential both/and win/win] ideas
that is now providing the most fruitful results
for dealing with the problems
of the environmental crisis.

Much of this [win/win bilateral co-arising] integrated [comprehension]
is happening outside [LeftBrain dominant] educational institutions
[pathology-oriented, continuing competing-issues committed
with highly competitive ecopolitical survival issues,
including upper-caste preservation].

Ironically,
information and communications technologies
are increasing these [cooperative win/win insight] possibilities,
although this benefit is over [LeftBrain dominant win-thought v lose-feeling] content,
and [redundantly tedious] replication over [re]creation;
[degenerative oppositional feedback loops
rather than cooperative self-governing
regenerative double-binding
ego/eco-appositional loops].

Fourth,
and most problematic of all,
formal education at the higher [yet not deeper] levels
is focused on digesting massive amounts of information
within the [slow-growth synergizing, incubating] constructs
of separate [and alarmingly unequal] disciplines
and cultures
(such as [Left-Yang, EitherOr] science
and [Right-Yin, BothAnd] art
[nurturing octave-scaled regenerative functions,
like 4Base fractal group/game math,
and 4Season phylogenic reproductive cycles]).

This education lacks wholistic [therapeutic] integration
with [health-wealth positive oriented] living experience
and its insights and truths often make little [trivial felt] impression
on the underlying [Right-YinFlow nurturing resonant] structures
of [comprehensive AND compassionate] understanding
and [internally felt committed] belief [with co-empathic trust]
created by [LeftBrain might makes right] family [anthropocentric-capitalist] upbringing,
mass [consuming dominating productive values] media
and popular [nationalistic eco-political Win v Lose partisan] culture.

In many fields
we find the [global co-passion] solutions
to [ecological and anthropological] problems
are known [and felt]
but are not [regeneratively] applied
for a myriad of specific [LeftBrain constipated cul-de-sac] reasons.

The core of these problems is [competing mutually mis-communicating and therefore gradually degenerating belief systems]
which people appear to [defensive either me or they win] hold
have not been [Both Me And We-vetted] integrated with
and [regeneratively-therapeutically-cooperatively] reinforced
by their [Left+Right bicameral polypathic
polyamorous polyculturing] personal experience
[of positive health cooperatives
are not negative pathological/partisan dissociative, dissonant competitions].
