Planting Tree Therapy

Why do we aim hot hate at each other
causing further cracks and craters in dried-up deserted skin,
when we could choose to heal and recreate
formerly fertile forested and grassland soils
to filter and rejuvenate subclimates of therapy?

ReCreating springs and filters of and for clean rich waters,
together restoring healthy air
to breath more deeply together
as we plan Earth’s further fun and happier rejuvenation,
yet another year, and season,
decade and millennium.

We retain subclimates of good cooperative potential
so urgently needed.
We have no time left for guns and missiles.
We have so much labor-neglected waste and humane depreciation
for machetes and rakes and shovels.

On Therapeutic Sciences

The academic position that political science
becomes too didactic for scientific neutrality
when political scientists are too pro-democratic climate/culture
v theocracy, plutocracy, etc.
too cooperatively enthusiastic about economic health,
too positive about empathic trust as our ecopolitical vocational polypath
toward politically inclusive healthy hope and faith and love advocacy,

Are unlikely to also take the position
that therapeutic and medicinal sciences best remain neutral
about health v pathology,
at least when it comes to investing
in our own egocentric health insurance.

The idea of scientific neutrality taking the position
that terrorists and fascists and racists,
and other forms of rabid monoculturalism,
are political-choice neutral about effective powers of climate governance,
evaporates when the scientist is choosing community
and family economy
and national climate of personal preference.

Exception to this rule
might be political scientists

Political Science as Organic Chemistry

Political Science is the compare and contrast study
of governing authority powers
with concomitant economic responsibilities,
and…um…opportunities,
speaking perhaps too candidly.

Why not other powers,
nutritional loves that can be owned only cooperatively,
can be, and would like to become, health invested,
but cannot be purchased?

Political scientists wonder if everything and everybody is for sale,
or could be if the MBA’s created a market for them
by persuading people they would have more value
if they paid for,
rather than freely borrowed.

Like humanity, for instance? Air? Water?
How about fertility?

Yes, we have expanded political powers into all these markets,
including physical and intellectual slavery,

Really? You can buy kindness?
Health?

Well, we do have Motivational and Anger Management Therapists.
And, pharmaceuticals are big corporate businesses
heavily invested in the wins and losses of political gamesmanship.

Political Science is the study of economically powerful games?
In which you purchase authority by investing in responsibility?

No, responsible behaviors and attitudes,
hopes and mistrusts,
are the subject of Health and Therapeutic Sciences.
Political and Economic scientists assume authority is wealth worth winning more of
and not losing to control less of;
not necessarily the same thing as increasing or decreasing health value or merit,
or demerit.
Political scientists remain neutral on health meritocracies of power.

But economic health and political wealth can go together, right?
When you and yours are having a nutritiously enriching politically sustaining year,

It started the 8th of June
moving away from too familiar
into too alien,
finding no sane oasis between.

Vibrant greens relentlessly fade
to wilting mono-academic drought.
Brown patches emerge with dulled loss of inspiration
of what might have been a family
an ecological home
a contenting pasture for aging bones,
hinky synapses flaring thorny tornadoes
of over-heating defeat.

Boxes realign themselves
incomprehensibly hiding any heathy value
in their move
from what could have been here
if not left there
where fading memories survive
my loss of regenerate presence.

Bags batter
bursting malignant neglect.
Chairs no longer fit
for seating hot self-abusive tempers
of displaced despair, dismay, dissonance.
Dust defecates deafening destiny.

A house that should be homeless
grows incipiently grateful for our habitual care;
downsizes redemptive purgation
into shrinking simplicity of violence
to invisible,
yet screaming silent strangling sensory strings

Then,

Tree Flying

Watching each moment,
as high as bone and flesh weight allow,
in my low-limbed high-rise chestnut tree,
immersed in meadow sea of bird-flight creation,
I hope to hear our past
folding back to inform empathic feeling.
A memory,
a smile with bemusing frown.

I become benign prey
of watcher’s warm, yet sometimes too distant stale, intent.
Grace absorbs
through warm skin sky

These are my claim on graced Elders
watching in my direction
only when I remember to notice them
waving, oscillating, spinning in and through and by me.
Informing my inner space and flow,

If I notice empathic trust

Getting Into It

Where have you been?
We stopped taxing investments in worker-owned cooperatives
decades ago.
They all have missions to do one or two of two possible things,
To recycle matter to highest use
with least carbon-based effort/loss of reinvestment values,
And to repurpose creatures, great and small,
to highest and deepest multiculturally heathy purposefulness,
rooted in our mutually-held
co-empathic trust
and faith in regenerate, co-redemptive, health.

Oh.
Where was I when all this happened?

That was when you were helping convert
both non- and for-profit corporations,
and most of Earth’s governors
and political and economic scientists
to worker-consumer-resident-owned cooperatives.

Anyway,
consumers and residents oversee their budgets
including third-party payers
but the front-line staff workers and caregivers
are in political charge of administration
within boundaries ecologically supported
by consumers/residents.

I’m confused.
How do consumers exercise responsibility for
a cooperative’s budget development,
much less oversight of implementation?

Well, it varies between active through one-time-exchange,
depending on what type of collective budgeting we speak of.
For example,
Ballots for elected government positions
are written for economic empowerment decision-making,
showing a range of proposed expenditure budgets
with line items showing intended categorical outcomes.

Wait,
I have one right here.
There’s education,
security,
transportation,
utilities,
health and nutrition,
recreation/therapeutic mindbody treatments.

Oops.
Wait a minute,
that’s my household budget.
Well, close enough for government work.

Are you telling me your ballot looks like four budgets,
one for each active political party?

Essentially, yes.
Then, once results are tabulated,
the political party nominees “owning” the most preferred economic/ecological plan
become the elected public office-holders.
Their job is to balance the diverse ranges of support found
within their consumer/resident market populations
through their diverse economic co-investment ballot choices,
expressing their highest and best ecotherapeutic values
for themselves and their families
and all of Earth’s Tribes.

How do they have time to do that
and still figure out how best to deliver services?

Well, the elected positions
are supported by political policy analysts
decomposing the ratios of annual categorical expenditures
to total corporate expenditures,
including labor and carbon investment.
These ratios are then compared to the combined budget election ratios,
and either reported as up or down from prior precedent.

Reports, as I said,
go to… well, everybody,
but the elected reps and the non-elected civil executors of this public budgeting process
are the only ones who actually study them.
But then there are the academic researchers,
and the independent reporters.

The elected legislators and administrators
either adopt by implementing any therapeutic adjustments expected
or explain to future consumers/residents
why they think they know better
how they can be of service
than we might have gratefully intended
and thanked them for
by voting for our cooperative economic-political stability
and long-term health outcomes.
