Multicultural Political Health Design

I have had a highly redundant,
one might even choose polypathic,
graduate studies experience
spanning my adult life to date.

This began with a semester of Philosophy.
Just enough to learn I wanted something more experiential,
a more communitarian environment of Applied Metaphysics, perhaps.

So then I began, and soon completed, studies for the Master of Divinity degree,
which has an arcane ring to it,
but basically the title implies just the opposite of what degree candidates most hope for,
to be Mastered by Divine Love,
to economically and politically operate as an icon of all-inclusive ecological love.

Those receiving the M.Div.
hoped to apply their ecopolitical science of empathic trust,
our mutual Basic Attendance,
to life as liturgical theology
or at least teleologically benign song and dance;
to be the love today we proclaim for tomorrow,
rooted in our humane-divine nondual nature-spirit compost
of ecopolitical peace-integrity with justice-truth becoming;
pilgrimage,
The Ways of Divinity,
co-mastering together.

Fortunately,
when I landed in a rural Colorado parish,
the beat-down aging poor mutually-marginalizing Mexican and Anglo faith community
invited me to reconsider further investment in administering sacraments
disconnected from ecopolitically healthy outcomes of empathic trust.
To continue as individuals,
families,
and as a multiculturally rich community
of mutually holonic,
respected,
cooperative,
trusting co-empathic faith,
we needed more of a Total Makeover,
a gut rehab,
an economic design to fuel our continuing collective political incarnation
into this Beloved Therapeutic EcoPolitical Community
we each long to belong within,
as integrity without.

Responding to apparent hope for stronger organizing
and planning
and budgeting
and ecopolitical design and implementation,
and evaluation and socioeconomic change skills,
I accepted an invitation into a double Master of Public Administration and Community [Economic] Development degree program,
primarily taught by PhDs in Political Science;
my first among too many loves as an undergraduate at Michigan.

Here I learned, once again, that politically correct administration of empathic trusting,
sometimes mistrusting,
and even actively distrusting totalitarian political relationships
historically and culturally thrive
when “follow economic wealth”
also means “responsibly invite multicultural political as personal health”
internally economic as externally political,
nondual internal-external co-arising ecological landscapes of nutrition.

Humane ecopolitical landscapes are ruled by active hope
and cooperative potential within
as divinely landscaped multicultural ecology without,
polypathic faith in love’s synergetic trust
and discovery
and curious regenerativity of enlightening imagination.

The U.S. Declaration of interdependent Independence and Constitution were born of Enlightenment CoOperative EcoPolitics.

Applied ecopolitical science looked a great deal like applied theology,
or at least teleology, healthy purpose, therapeutic cultural meaning.
Democracy develops fragrant discernment through co-empathic multicultural trust,
moving toward inclusive resonant resolutions of complexly interdependent ecopolitical issues,
risks,
opportunities,
social investments and historical-cultural divestments,
intending improved climate health
and less climates of pathology,
whether too hyperactively warm
or too near to flat-line fading into freezing despair.

My issues with effectively developing ecopolitical health,
by suppressing dis-ecological pathologies,
past failures of achieving a truly multiculturally abundant history of sustainable healthy climates,
soon led to confusion about a great cultural divide
between two vocational labels:
1. Political Scientist, and
2. Permacultural Designer.

This great cultural divide appeared front and center
more recently when I became certified as a Permaculture Designer.
It helped me to look more carefully at the functional intent of “political”
as compared to “permacultural” outcome goals and use-of-power objectives.
As I thought more about how our normal day-to-day scientific investment in learning about power includes learning primal differences between multicultural designs
and monocultural monopolies of totalitarian mistrust leaning toward distrust chaos,
dissonance,
then polypathic confluence of design and pattern correlations emerge as the compost,
the food,
the fodder of our ecological as ecopolitical learning enterprise.

“Permaculture” was chosen to distinguish perennially designed
and democratically self-governing landscapes
from more traditional annual economies of “Agriculture” business,
with more of a replant, spray, and harvest of chemically treated quasi-edibles,
nutritionally malignant regarding fertile health of Earth’s soil,
leading to well-established suboptimal health-trends of ecopolitical Business As Usual.

Permaculture designs are for and on and about and composed of information rooted in past positive polyculturally balanced community landscape outcomes.
These polyculturing ecopolitical landscapes began as maps of nurturing health plans for exteriors only,
like gardens and farms and river banks.
But, this organic economic and political view of power-with ecological balancing climates
has moved from exterior to increasingly interior ecopolitical health landscapes,
like bicameral full-octave nature-spirit nondual deep learning healthy multicultural mindbody landscapes, dialogues, stories, evolutions.

A political power relationship of healthy nutritional economic/ecologic design
pulls together the implied normativity of Political Sciences comparing unhealthy totalitarian powers producing outcomes of mayhem and terror
to democracies intended to nurture co-empathic cooperative trust.
If designers using permacultural ecopolitical principles and procedures for healthier polycultural climates,
then we are also scientists exploring transactional-relational nutrient-power principles
and investment/divestment procedures for sustaining multicultural health designs and sustaining power-with development,
co-investment in planning,
and harvesting health outcomes rooted in (0)-sum Earth-centric climates
of polypathic ecopolitical health.

Permaculture Design Certification more or less brings me back full circle,
where graceful articulation of applied metaphysics
invites active,
relentless pursuit of ecopolitical deep learning
mutually cooperative faith communities
within bicameral heart and lungs and brain and guts and limbs and genetic roots
as cooperative Beloved Communities incarnating together without.

People of radically cooperative faith,
profound empathic ecopolitical trust,
ask what and whom you believe WITH,
while those of a more fundamentalist-exclusive faith,
including active mistrusts of alien faith systems as more or less idolatrous,
ask what and whom you believe IN.

If you believe in evolutionary cosmological processes
that you do not believe also believe in you,
cooperatively together,
then you are less likely to achieve healthy nutritional ecopolitically sustainable outcomes,
while you are waiting for SomeOne Other
to grace you with His Transcendent truth-beauty presence.

If you believe with processes of ecosystemic health,
then you have joined the evolutionary permacultural partisans of healthy regenesis,
wherein lies all evidence of creation,
rather than nihilistic monocultural nothing.
Then again, you might conceivably believe in both,
which is a highly polypathic wu wei pilgrimage–
a razor’s edge teleology of enculturing history.

On Therapeutic Sciences

The academic position that political science
becomes too didactic for scientific neutrality
when political scientists are too pro-democratic climate/culture
v theocracy, plutocracy, etc.
too cooperatively enthusiastic about economic health,
too positive about empathic trust as our ecopolitical vocational polypath
toward politically inclusive healthy hope and faith and love advocacy,

Are unlikely to also take the position
that therapeutic and medicinal sciences best remain neutral
about health v pathology,
at least when it comes to investing
in our own egocentric health insurance.

The idea of scientific neutrality taking the position
that terrorists and fascists and racists,
and other forms of rabid monoculturalism,
are political-choice neutral about effective powers of climate governance,
evaporates when the scientist is choosing community
and family economy
and national climate of personal preference.

Exception to this rule
might be political scientists
who enjoy teaching macho-tyranny within their own homes and not-so-extended families.

I look forward within this postmillennial time,
when one could hardly become an effective political evolutionary scientist
or healthy public policy designer of climate therapies
or become an actually nominated and elected-selected legislator,
CEO,
governor of self and others,
judge or jurist,
outside a litmus test commitment
to LeftBrain DNA with Elder RightBrain RNA co-intelligent design
of healthy fractal-fertile bio- and ecosystems,
co-empathic nondual trust
in dialectal therapeutic political merits
of multicultural Basic Attendance,
steeped in polypathic waters
of radically cooperative eco-normative consciousness.

EcoPolitics of and for Climate Health

EcoPolitics explicitly intends to be culturally normative
and evolve in capacity to become historically descriptive
of cultural-historic nondual mindbodies.

Politics is about the effectiveness of power in relationships.
Economics is about efficient resilience,
sustainable consilience,
of shared nutritional values,
including power of self+other nutritional/nurturing/fueling governance.

EcoPolitics conjoins
sweat equity and financial equity
and marginalization from fair-climate share nutrition.

Power implies shared values
as our economic choices and behavior explicate,
are the praxis of,
our political intentions and assumptions
about relational effectiveness over resilient time.

We can predict our future ecopolitical climate of health v pathology
by noticing our good and bad humors
when exegetical goods seem eisegetically ugly
and bad hypnotizes as if beauty.

The economy of a culture predicts and explicates its political power
and marginalization
histories.

Commodification is an economic trend of capitalism
devoid of healthy multicultural nutritional goals.
Ecological political end-game outcomes,
left unmitigated,
predict the truth of Rob Brezsny’s
“If you’re happy and you know it,
clank your chains.”

Value economies
devoid of their ecological nutrition root-systems,
such as currently incarnate capitalism,
but also ego-
and anthro-
and ethnocentric terrorist totalitarian fundamentalist monoculturalism,
racism,
patriarchal, as opposed to Earth-centric matriarchal, nationalism,
any idols short of our Great Turning God/dress Gaia
and Her Chief Consort, Father Sun’s primal (0)-sum synergetic relationship,
suboptimize our potential for polypathically effective politics
of shared mutual EarthTribal Powers,
empathic trust to outshine dyspeptic monocultural distrusts and agendas and issues and dissonance,
our potential for reciprocal love stronger than sin of omissions.

Mistrust of premillennial BusinessAsUsual
is now becoming (0)-sum ecopolitical Tipping Point indication
of which way to turn toward divine regeneration,
global humanitarian salvation,
economics of cooperative mutual redemption.

Relationships are for and of politically resonant health,
as transactional values invest and divest of economically resolving (0)-sum resilient nutritional balance
of empathically evolving
stretching
continuously inclusive polypathic trust,
earnestly hoping and struggling to leave no one and no thing behind
because the cost of doing so is cognitive/affective dissonance
which blocks Positive Psychology bliss
like death lacks life.

All relationships are political,
have political histories about power.
All transactions have economic enculturation histories
of investment and divestment.

We tend to think of political sciences when discussing power of self+other governance,
as we tend to think of economic sciences when exploring nutritional v pathological investment and divestment financial transactions.
But,
financial transactions are also political power choices
about future cooperation v. competition historical dominance.

Politics is about our investment choices in healthy multicultural evolution
within ecosystemic enculturing time.
Economics is about our investment/divestment in nutritionally-balanced cooperative financial organic network choices.

EcoPolitics is normatively and descriptively about our renewed great and small transitional investments
in polypathic ecological climate wealth,
beloved community abundant outcomes,
polycultural climax harvests,
revolutionary ReGenesis of EcoConsciousness.

Breastplates of Righteousness

My mind is as fascinated with investments and divestments
as my body is attracted to healthy and beautiful vestments,

and haunted by prospects of naked loss of home
and self-identity.

My vested interests emerge issues and concerns about nutrition,
as opposed to empty calories.
Nutrition, whether economic or political,
pursues ecologically systemic complexity.
Nutrition can be consumed and produced by a healthy cooperative ecosystem,
while a highly disturbed and dissonant absence of balance
harmony
grace
perpetuates internal-external competitions.

We would all prefer,
regardless of cultural color of our vestments,
avoiding empty caloric pseudo-values
without healthy merit
as effectively,
confluently,
peacefully,
cooperatively as possible
through clear polypathic discernment,
well-vested,
ecopolitically co-arising, compelling
temporally harmonious Tao-abundant wealth
of a nondual co-arising mindbody

Whether the mind of an ant
or human,
the soul of a river
or forest,
or the spirit of Earth’s Time as dynamic operatic space
as my mind invests and divests Her ecopolitical history,
Her/His healthy beautiful vested body,
haunted by prospects of Earth’s naked loss,
our homeless absence of cooperative self-identity.

Earth’s co-empathic mind,
fascinating investments producing ego-divestments,
where nature’s nutrition cultivates spiritual-mental health,
left righteousness.

Officers of the Peace

TO: Police Officer Training Schools

FROM: Parents EcoPolitical Cooperative for Healthy Climates

Thank you for listening to our mutual concern about escalating violence between our multicultural children
and your multigenerational health and safety vocation.

We have a few communication suggestions
that our kids have taught us over the years
about more civil responses
and authoritatively kind welcoming conjectures
and shared concerns about not-so-civilly uncooperative behaviors.

We would like to share our orthopraxis of active peacemaking
through less violent communications.

It is so important to begin and end each day and relationship
mentoring please and thank you.
Also remember to reward You’re Welcome
as always, in our shared civil lives.

We find that when we have chased a speeding stoned-out son or daughter down,
it helps to begin with
“Thank you so much for stopping.”
With a genuine smile, if at all possible.

This generally provokes shock and awe about our unusual restraint.
Within this pocket of silence
we recommend planting a kind, but quick, follow-up
“Would you please be kind enough to show me your license
to drive your mindbody vehicle in this way
at this speed
in this ecopolitical environment
of health risks and opportunities?”

Usually, our kids are only too happy to share their documentation,
such as it has become, to date.
When this is the case,
please do not forget to respond with gratitude,
“Thank you so much for your cooperation.”

If our young offenders fail to respond with
“You’re welcome”
Please do remind them that their mothers might have taught them
with more gratitude for civil public lives and roles
of responsible authority.

To remember “You’re welcome” is everything
From economics of beginning faith
to politics of ending with multicultural grace.

You’re Welcome is our mantra of cooperative ecopolitical civic lives.

Toward Improved Conservative EcoPolitical Stamina

Note to Grover Norquist
and others with corporate political non-responsibility persuasions:

When you were 21 you “decided that nobody learned anything about politics after the age of 21.”

A few financially well-greased years later, as a professional lobbyist,
you decided if you could, you would “drown government in a bath tub.”

Which would presumably take out the government lobbyists as well,
but, never mind,
apparently you had already figured this out by the time you were 21,
deciding to feed from the hand you would drown if you only could
without inconveniencing yourself, of course.

After all, that’s what being a conservative is all about in the U.S.,
conserving personal conveniences,
queer feelings of self-reliant entitlement,
by not willing to vulnerably empathize with non-elite players,
unlikely to move or shake any money tree in your back yard.

About this drowning of government.
Would that especially include,
in fact would it necessarily first, and most primarily, include
all forms of self-governance with power-relational responsibilities
and opportunities and risks?
I mean, do you have children,
or did you have kids,
or have you ever met any kids,
or do you by chance remember being under the age of 21,
before you knew everything there is to know about self-governance?

As a parent, hoping to help adolescents move toward healthy self-governance,
does this seem like the kind of accountability and responsible behavior
that you didn’t worry so much about for your kids,
and maybe your younger neighbors and friends?
Because, after all,
presumably they would magically become just like you at 21,
and already know everything there is to know about how to self-govern
your mind
and your over-paid mouth
and your under-exercised potentially cooperative feet and hands,
trying to at least do no harm to yourself
your family
future generations
Earth
our economy
our political health as a self-governing Nation of accountability
learning how to behave within a democratically intended healthy economy
of multicultural inclusion and freedom.

Freedom to explore vocations in the public (government) sector,
like teaching
and public health and safety and security positions
without worrying about becoming another all-wise you,
because the rest of us poor public-sector slobs are still working on our cooperative WinWin gaming strategies
toward ecopolitical self-governing multicultural climatic health,
rather than the pathology of advocating public drownings
and put-downings
of those who are presumably doing the best we can
despite the self-aggrandizing behaviors of corporate conservative lobbyists,
who hear “freedom of democracy”
every time they speak behind closed doors
“freedom toward plutocracy.”

I have no doubt you’re doing the best you can,

Wealth Without Walls

We pursue endless climate sabbaths,
I perhaps best and worst of all,
holidays of verdant forests floating within
oceans of atmospheric tides sucking and spewing nutrient flowing matters,
slow-dancing ecopolitical issues reincarnating history
of Earth’s love of Time Herself,
rich bubbling pastures for fertile economies
of harmonically choreographed dress rehearsals,
moving from today’s creation curtain back toward First Act
preparing already our next great transition,
another season of ecopolitical regenerate life
in Promising Lands and Prophetic Seas.

Economy, like Sabbath,
epiphanies a cooperatively normed word
and competitively abnormal climate function
for any sustainable ecosystem
including bio-networking human-nature-systems

To act economically, we practice ecopolitical health.
Practice, practice, practice makes further economic climates.

My economy,
running through my days and nights,
weeks and calendar-scheduled months,
me performing with cooperative intent
internally as externally,
organically bilateral,
binomial in as out reflecting in,
bisexual Yang-form power with Yin-flow fluid function strength,
interacting as peacefully as possible,
listening deeply for my own arrogant egocentric injustices
to myself and others,
excesses of shutting-you-out power,
most vulnerably over-exercised on those I live with
and work with each day.

My competing economic-political behavior feels like struggling against
some other competitive economic force,
stronger and thereby darkly compelling,
while my cooperative ecopolitical evolution feels struggle within
my own extended family of confusion, miscommunication,
lack of sufficient awareness
that our WinLose feelings and predictions
are rooted in embryonic experience of WinWin norm-expectations for life
in this EarthTribe Cooperative.

I have a healthy economic life
and one more pathologically egocentric,
with monoculturing intent,
feeding on ethnocentric hubris
yet sabbathed in anthro-enculturing Elders,
looking for a co-messianic bodhisattva EarthTribe economy.

Ecosystems like me,
prefer our healthy ecological economies
with mutual subsidiary, multiorganic cooperation.
I expect our political power-relationships
to normatively reflect our economically balancing (0)-sum intent
and orthopraxis centers,
which is why I do not want bicameral governance structures quarreling against,
rather than discerning with,
co-empathic trust in our shared economy
as karmic
and graceful
and incarnational
and evolutionary
and even sometimes revolutionary WinWin cooperative intent.

This is how we have all been raised together
from originating Yang-sperm and Yin-oceanic eggs,
Animus-yolk hemoglobic egocenters
and Anima-nurturing chlorophyllic green ecosystems
of embryonic-empathic trust forests
in healthy economic nutritional-branching and rooting truths
as ecopolitical sabbath beauty choices.

Sabbath climates invite cooperative opportunities
where daily grinds compete to improve WinLose risks and odds pathologies
as if these could be remembered
as a good and true anthro-embryonic history
of new life revolutions.
