ReWriting History

Life explores integrity,
hoping to fulfill
all polypathic curiosities.

How might history rewrite humanity
if those who adventured out
and eagerly invaded
felt more reluctant to dominate?
More sure that their long-term survival
in this, or any, non-native land
required them to first learn those languages at hand,
and adopt them as their creolizing own.

Would European colonization outward
look more like global metamorphosis,
transubstantiating communion
inward?

Would the language of democracy
recognize no dualistic divide
between cooperative health
and co-investing wealth of cultures?

If invading civilizations
had been wiser
we could have earlier seen
curiosity best listens and learns native civilities
from what has been exegetically in cultural place,
before knowing how and what and when and where to displace
our own first language preconceptions.

How could I communicate my invasive wisdom
into your language of experience
of hope and anxiety
unless I have first learned your expressions,
verbal and nonverbal,
pitched and rhythmed by enculturing flows
of Earth’s nurturing
and restricting
natures?

How would U.S. democracy unfold
in First Nation language?
Where Earth
and water
and wind
and fire
individually perhaps, and certainly together,
have veto power
over healthy WinWin anthro-choice.

And, animal and tree spirits
share our prime universal suffrage,
voting yes through healthy balancing increase
and disinvesting No through internal climates of decline.

We would learn language
for trusts and mistrusts
of late summer trees
already falling leaves
turned yellow
along colonizing lanes of diesel language.

We would not deny
internal and external climates
of growing rabid pathology,
idolatries of LeftBrain dominant patriarchal capitalism,
speaking harshly
yet deniable abstractly
of polysyllabic demise,
dissonance of denying language
expressing First Nation climates
inside as outside
up and down
back and forth imaginations
within enculturing languages of time.

Healthy democracy would not merely debate
reasonable extremities of over-heating Earth’s survival,
but would center focus on regeneratively rediscovering
past and future optimizing reasons
toward reweaving nature-spirits of discerning climate health
as optimizing wealth
both inside yin nurturing
and outside yang cooperative,
universally uniting democratic control.

Explorers seeking further curiosities
recreating what’s next,
together,
gathering nature-spirit voices
deferring to more original health
enculturation/decomposition histories,
ebb and flow of nurturing Earth,
multiculturing languages
speaking through passing lights and darks
of Time
incarnating healthier climates.

Hearing Colors

When I see in colors
I say Yes
softly or loudly
and usually in-between
depending on our vibrancy together.

When we see in black and white,
we say maybe yes
and perhaps not
and other shades of ambivalent grey.

I cannot see in black
as I cannot see white at all
except perhaps as shades of transparency.

When I hear in resonant music
I say Yes
to truths of resolution,
trusting resilient motions of emotion
integrity of life
life as integrity
potentiating further regenerations;
new songs for perpetuating tomorrow.

When I hear in words
I’m listening for what’s missing.
Lyrics without a melody
are just more disappointing words.

I see best in full dressed color
and hear our dynamic truths
most resonantly as music
in soft sizzling preludes
on through conflagrations
loud climatic revolutions
followed by silence
black as night
waiting for white
bright dawning colors
dancing new music
vibrant washed.

Learning in full octave ranges
we can see a child
listening for a parent
seeing community developers
and violators
listening to fellow politicians
longing to write and read
hear and speak poetry together
while seeing as musicians
swelling gospel choirs
and drumming
burning orchestrations
of co-redeeming music
in full non-flagging flames of color.

When we hear in colors
we see full octave best
until it’s time for rest
notes that last
until they don’t
turn just right bright
vibrant multicolors.

Life’s Ups and Downs

Families
and communities,
hopefully becoming like extending families,
and that would make them some form of faith communities,
relying exclusively on top-down authorities
to empower today
and tomorrow’s cooperative faithfulness
to ourselves
to each other
to Earth
to the Universe, perhaps,
are also families and communities
under-invested
suboptimizing
bottom-up maturing co-empathic responsibilities
to learn nutritional elements
and synergetic trends we democratically trust
and multiculturally feel
for their optimizing wealth of health potential.

And, those other darker
not clearly articulating our Golden Ruling DNA-RNA dialectal heritage,
and those clearly pathologically distrusted
as anathema and terror’s immunities from growing healthy egos
and evolving nutritiously faithful communities
and revolving Earth’s regenerative spiral revolving trends,
bilaterally co-arising
ego/eco consciousness of Earth
as sacramental cooperative fulfillment
further seeking positive faithful WWW promise,
Win self-economics
Win Other ecologics
Win Earth ecosystemic
sacramental spacetime
0-sum co-investing moments.

What cooperative fulfilling authority goes down
equivalently invites and resonates with
co-empathic promising responsibilities
emerging from below shared day dreams,
not nightmares,
rising synergetically up.

Climates of health recycling down
so landscapes of wealthy global democracy
rise revolutionary
and sacramentally
and cooperatively
faithfully up.

Earth’s changing from above climate
seeps and sweeps up and down
into each community’s communicating climates
seeping down and sweeping up
ectosymbiotic and endosymbiotic
creolizing and transubstantiating
into and around
each individual’s internal climates
of sacramentally faithful experience
and desecrating despair, dismay, competing dissonances,
and, so, thereby,
vice versa,
preferably more actively cooperative WinWin
than reactively competitive WinLose
capitalistic and patriarchal
over-extended gamesmanship.

Families
as sacramental communities
cooperate best both sweeping up
and seeping down together
of and for tomorrow’s greatest faithfulness,
and minimal monoculturing
climates of despair.

Invitation to an Unmalling

What if,
instead of inviting people to the local mall
to further accelerate a fight,
we invite each other to join us
in the middle of the central-most concourse,
for a jazz improvisation of tai chi and yoga movements,
to breathe peace in and justice out together,
to grow in reflective mindfulness together,
to cooperatively appreciate each other’s participation
in the rhythms and patterns we discover
by moving and beating and breathing our hearts together
communicating belonging together
in this unmarketable community.

What if
we invited people to dance together
and side by side,
an impromptu self-invitation
to embody together at the mall
how we belong together
rather than flying apart?

Peppa Pig’s Dilemma

Peppa Pig started a Secret Club revolution.

When Poppa Pig asked her what she was up to,
she violated her Secret rule
because she could have no politically fun Club
if her Secret began and ended only within.

Poppa Pig resonantly responded
as did her entire community of family
and their extended outward friends,
they had each secretly longed to belong
within some Secret Club
for self-and-other empowering recreation
just among their Secret ruling selves.

Peppa’s dilemma, however,
after everyone knew her Secret admission word,
was in what sense could they sustain their Secret Club
with only this one, now shared, Secret
as accessible as youtube.

Yet, forced to choose priorities,
she, as Yin is multiculturally inclined to flow,
instinctively saw and knew
a universally inclusive Club
with one shared integrative Secret love
was as abundantly happy belonging
as a hot pig jumping in cool mud puddles
with her not-so-secret piggy Club.

Multicultural Political Health Design

I have had a highly redundant,
one might even choose polypathic,
graduate studies experience
spanning my adult life to date.

This began with a semester of Philosophy.
Just enough to learn I wanted something more experiential,
a more communitarian environment of Applied Metaphysics, perhaps.

So then I began, and soon completed, studies for the Master of Divinity degree,
which has an arcane ring to it,
but basically the title implies just the opposite of what degree candidates most hope for,
to be Mastered by Divine Love,
to economically and politically operate as an icon of all-inclusive ecological love.

Those receiving the M.Div.
hoped to apply their ecopolitical science of empathic trust,
our mutual Basic Attendance,
to life as liturgical theology
or at least teleologically benign song and dance;
to be the love today we proclaim for tomorrow,
rooted in our humane-divine nondual nature-spirit compost
of ecopolitical peace-integrity with justice-truth becoming;
pilgrimage,
The Ways of Divinity,
co-mastering together.

Fortunately,
when I landed in a rural Colorado parish,
the beat-down aging poor mutually-marginalizing Mexican and Anglo faith community
invited me to reconsider further investment in administering sacraments
disconnected from ecopolitically healthy outcomes of empathic trust.
To continue as individuals,
families,
and as a multiculturally rich community
of mutually holonic,
respected,
cooperative,
trusting co-empathic faith,
we needed more of a Total Makeover,
a gut rehab,
an economic design to fuel our continuing collective political incarnation
into this Beloved Therapeutic EcoPolitical Community
we each long to belong within,
as integrity without.

Responding to apparent hope for stronger organizing
and planning
and budgeting
and ecopolitical design and implementation,
and evaluation and socioeconomic change skills,
I accepted an invitation into a double Master of Public Administration and Community [Economic] Development degree program,
primarily taught by PhDs in Political Science;
my first among too many loves as an undergraduate at Michigan.

Here I learned, once again, that politically correct administration of empathic trusting,
sometimes mistrusting,
and even actively distrusting totalitarian political relationships
historically and culturally thrive
when “follow economic wealth”
also means “responsibly invite multicultural political as personal health”
internally economic as externally political,
nondual internal-external co-arising ecological landscapes of nutrition.

Humane ecopolitical landscapes are ruled by active hope
and cooperative potential within
as divinely landscaped multicultural ecology without,
polypathic faith in love’s synergetic trust
and discovery
and curious regenerativity of enlightening imagination.

The U.S. Declaration of interdependent Independence and Constitution were born of Enlightenment CoOperative EcoPolitics.

Applied ecopolitical science looked a great deal like applied theology,
or at least teleology, healthy purpose, therapeutic cultural meaning.
Democracy develops fragrant discernment through co-empathic multicultural trust,
moving toward inclusive resonant resolutions of complexly interdependent ecopolitical issues,
risks,
opportunities,
social investments and historical-cultural divestments,
intending improved climate health
and less climates of pathology,
whether too hyperactively warm
or too near to flat-line fading into freezing despair.

My issues with effectively developing ecopolitical health,
by suppressing dis-ecological pathologies,
past failures of achieving a truly multiculturally abundant history of sustainable healthy climates,
soon led to confusion about a great cultural divide
between two vocational labels:
1. Political Scientist, and
2. Permacultural Designer.

This great cultural divide appeared front and center
more recently when I became certified as a Permaculture Designer.
It helped me to look more carefully at the functional intent of “political”
as compared to “permacultural” outcome goals and use-of-power objectives.
As I thought more about how our normal day-to-day scientific investment in learning about power includes learning primal differences between multicultural designs
and monocultural monopolies of totalitarian mistrust leaning toward distrust chaos,
dissonance,
then polypathic confluence of design and pattern correlations emerge as the compost,
the food,
the fodder of our ecological as ecopolitical learning enterprise.

“Permaculture” was chosen to distinguish perennially designed
and democratically self-governing landscapes
from more traditional annual economies of “Agriculture” business,
with more of a replant, spray, and harvest of chemically treated quasi-edibles,
nutritionally malignant regarding fertile health of Earth’s soil,
leading to well-established suboptimal health-trends of ecopolitical Business As Usual.

Permaculture designs are for and on and about and composed of information rooted in past positive polyculturally balanced community landscape outcomes.
These polyculturing ecopolitical landscapes began as maps of nurturing health plans for exteriors only,
like gardens and farms and river banks.
But, this organic economic and political view of power-with ecological balancing climates
has moved from exterior to increasingly interior ecopolitical health landscapes,
like bicameral full-octave nature-spirit nondual deep learning healthy multicultural mindbody landscapes, dialogues, stories, evolutions.

A political power relationship of healthy nutritional economic/ecologic design
pulls together the implied normativity of Political Sciences comparing unhealthy totalitarian powers producing outcomes of mayhem and terror
to democracies intended to nurture co-empathic cooperative trust.
If designers using permacultural ecopolitical principles and procedures for healthier polycultural climates,
then we are also scientists exploring transactional-relational nutrient-power principles
and investment/divestment procedures for sustaining multicultural health designs and sustaining power-with development,
co-investment in planning,
and harvesting health outcomes rooted in (0)-sum Earth-centric climates
of polypathic ecopolitical health.

Permaculture Design Certification more or less brings me back full circle,
where graceful articulation of applied metaphysics
invites active,
relentless pursuit of ecopolitical deep learning
mutually cooperative faith communities
within bicameral heart and lungs and brain and guts and limbs and genetic roots
as cooperative Beloved Communities incarnating together without.

People of radically cooperative faith,
profound empathic ecopolitical trust,
ask what and whom you believe WITH,
while those of a more fundamentalist-exclusive faith,
including active mistrusts of alien faith systems as more or less idolatrous,
ask what and whom you believe IN.

If you believe in evolutionary cosmological processes
that you do not believe also believe in you,
cooperatively together,
then you are less likely to achieve healthy nutritional ecopolitically sustainable outcomes,
while you are waiting for SomeOne Other
to grace you with His Transcendent truth-beauty presence.

If you believe with processes of ecosystemic health,
then you have joined the evolutionary permacultural partisans of healthy regenesis,
wherein lies all evidence of creation,
rather than nihilistic monocultural nothing.
Then again, you might conceivably believe in both,
which is a highly polypathic wu wei pilgrimage–
a razor’s edge teleology of enculturing history.
