Art Therapy

My daughter,
with Oppositionally Defiant Chaotic Disorder,
has taught me a role-play therapy,
in which we Both-And build a back-and-forth story,
she plays me,
more or less,
and I play her
Mulatta as I inductively feel her
in my RightBrain resonant positives
and double-binding humorous negatives
kind of cooperative-regenerative way.

So the structure of our cooperative WinWin therapeutic narrative,
rather than oppositionally Win/Lose deconstructed,
might go something like:

Mulatta, speaking as kind of a Prince Charming Donald Trump: Cinderella, please come to my HotChick Inspection Ball.

Me, as kind of a Cinderella EarthMom on her best, most cooperative, day: Thanks so much for thinking of me, but I think I’m washing my hair that night.

Mulatta: Cinderella, you have to come to the Ball so we can dance together, and get married, and I can own you and tell you what to do for the rest of your pathetic life.

Me: Well, when you put it that way, how could I possibly refuse? Shall we dance?

Mulatta: Yes, it’s time for you to dance for me. Put on Ella Fitzgerald, “Love For Sale.”

Me: And then we’ll dance back-to-back to “Strange Fruit.”

Mulatta: And then we’ll be married and you’ll have eight babies.

Me: And they will each become a different healthy shade of brown.

Mulatta: And some will turn different colors when they get old like you.

Me: And perhaps Prince Charming shouldn’t refer to Cinderella as old, because then I fell unhappy and I stop feeding you.

Mulatta: And perhaps that’s why I have so many cooks because I have other things for you to do.

Me: And I have little doubt these will bring me great joy. For example?

Mulatta: Clean your room! And take out the trash!

Me: And why does Prince Charming suddenly sound like the Ugly StepMom?

Mulatta: Cinderella, stop procrastinating with all your questions!

Me: Right. And so they lived unhappily ever after,
planning “Love For Sale” balls
for all their terrified prince charmings.

I found this reverse role-play idea
for conflict-therapy,
as compared more positively to normal WinLose Anger Management,
in Larry Susskind’s co-mentoring work with public planning processes,
in which those who are LeftBrain thinking oppositionally
against other positions taken in the room,
are encouraged to imagine they are RightBrain inductively feeling
both the appositional positives and short-term win-to-lose negatives
that these alien-other positions of mutual antipathy have taken.

For example,
imagine your LeftBrain dominance as WinLose President Trump
having a conversation about the regenerative-fertile Original Intent
of the North and South and Central and Caribbean America’s Constitutions,
with your RightBrain embryonic matriarchal WinWin wisdom,
on EarthMom’s very best health and cooperative safety feeling day.

Who would win what in such a bicameral Left-WinWin
and Right-WinLose regenerative thrival over survival conversation?
And would it feel like more of a BothAnd dialogue
than an EitherOr debate?
And who might be invited to lose their LeftBrain Ego-UnCentered Dominance
to embrace our RightBrain Eco-Multiculturing
WinWin Matriarchal Resonance
with creole-climaxing climate harmonic resolutions
resounding through each Original Intent of ego/eco-democratic
organic co-empathic trusting constitution?

Mulatta: What does it mean, “Love For Sale”?

Me: It was intended to be ironic economics;
not to be taken seriously as appropriate to optimize Health and SafeWealth.
That would be more like “Life For CoOperative CoInvestment.”

Mullatta: Nobody would buy that title.

Me: How about “Life for ReGenesis”?

Mulatta: How about “Love for Exodus”?

Me: How about both
for all Earth’s Chosen Creolizing Species?

Mulatta: Sounds like we’re back to the part about me inviting you to a HotChick Inspection Ball.

Me: And me needing to wash my matriarchal-regenerative healthy hair instead.

Mulatta: Aren’t you confusing Cinderella with Samson?

Me: And maybe Salome.

In Defense of Ugly

I have nothing against the Cinderellas
of successful society.
Cinderella finds her opportunity for freedom
for love, hopefully,
goes for it,
and it works out for her
and all the Prince Charmings,
wherever they are hiding from my life.
Anyway, all good news
as far as this story goes.

But,
the plight of Ugly StepSisters and Brothers
deserves more compassionate empathy.

True,
they borrow too heavily from Evil StepMother’s playbook,
her monocultural empty-empire building manual
“How to compete for love and wealth
without sufficient loving health”

Still,
StepMom didn’t write this manual alone.
This scripture is as old as lack of requited love itself.

And,
what are the karmic outcomes for these Sisters,
lacking grace
to invite Cinderellas to share their space?
A day,
an hour,
a minute,
a moment devoid of choosing co-empathic possibility,
humor facing absurd lust for power
blind hope to control life
at least enough to absorb awareness of loss
and inevitable dying alone,
results in living too much alone
produces absence of full living-loving,
consumes embryonic integrity of regenerate life,
eats and addicts acids of empire-defensive despair
until nutrients of isolation mature
into degenerately self-disserving Evil StepSpinsters,
monsters spinning tragic runaway addictions
breeding chaotic anger,
fear of our darkness, our mortality terror,
our lack and absence and loss,
hating our own unredeeming suffering.

Ugly StepSisters are stuck
in silos of their own discontent
echoing Evil StepMother’s voice
foolishly empirically demanding satisfaction
with a closed fist
when grace is hers and his to choose
by merely opening her heart
to radically compassionate empathy.

It was sometime back in the 70’s,
my later 20’s,
I woke up one morning to realize
EgoSelf as an often dissonant nest
of natural systemic TaoEarth,
a mindbody bicameral treehouse
in some way that felt socially
and economically
and perhaps even politically awkward.

Too much like an Ugly Duckling Ego
in a Cinderella Opera,
clearly expecting myself to overcompensate
for my alien social-regenerative nature,
by learning to play each of the other roles
co-arising adeptly.

Prince Charming to my kids and husband,
somehow especially sadly
because I have the only AngloIdentified
AnthroBioSystem
in my Ugly StepSister/Brother and Cinderella and
Prince Charming family.

Carefully avoiding LoseLose Political-Economist
as SuperUgly dualdark StepMother
of malicious,
mendacious,
hateful intent
to play out a MonoCulturally supremicist Win-Lose Opera,
with me in charge of racist misery.

It was not until we all began stretching together
to comprehend what it means,
in terms of health and beauty,
goodness and truth,
to become daily reborn
into a PostMillennial Taoist Unitarian Universalism,
more richly hued polycultural health outcomes increase.

In this PostTaoist UU Landscape,
I have come to correlate
Left MindBody Language,
with YangPowered nutritional-natural health outcomes

If, and only if,
co-arising MidWay Tipping Point
of deductive-within-inductive mutual nature/spirit interest and value,

Romeo and Juliet: The ReMix

Three voices required,
Professor,
and two students:
Yang as Fr. Time
YinYin as Sr. Gaia

In a college classroom with Win-Win Game Theory written on whiteboard.

Professor:
Today we are going to role play
a Win-Win enculturation game.

We will define enculturation as
‘the combination of political and economic reiterative relationships and transactions
within a communicating network
of choice-making.’

The absence of political-economic co-arising redundancy
generates systemic dissonance,
suboptimized positive outcomes, at best,
in which positive information is lost,
putting this enculturation game at risk of turning from Win-Win,
to Win-Lose.

This would result in a suboptimized and, to that extent,
polypathological outcome,
useful for recognizing opportunities to do better,
to do good and fair and justice,
to do Being, fully cooperatively eco-balanced consciousness.
Maybe.
We’ll see.

Fr. Time: [In an appropriately low gravelish slow-sucking voice]
I need to play Yang.

Sr. Gaia: [In a lovely round full-chested soprano]
I want to play yang as Yin.

Professor:
Good, good. OK.

So. let’s imagine that Yang,
played by Fr. Time,
is Romeo Logos,
and Yin,
played by Sr. Gaia,
is Juliet Mythos.

But, this is a Win-Win Game,
so Juliet, of the Mythos family,
chooses to stay planted on lovely Earth
because she loves the Cinderella story,
so maybe she’ll just sleep on her decision about what to do with her life,
and see what happens later in the Prince Charming
as Romeo Logos
Department of her mythic romantic life.

With Juliet asleep,
Romeo Logos storms through life’s stage all blood and thunder.
Wakes Mythos,
and they are filled with co-passionate ecstasy for themselves,
each other,
and all of Earth,
and all of Earth’s Tribes,
and all of the above live happily ever after.

[pause] Why is that not a more satisfying,
healthier
story for every time our language and culture
our political and economic outcomes
trend toward a despairing climatic precipice?

I feel so used up. My health, vibrancy, robust vitality fades.

Sr. Gaia: (as Yin)
All your over-heated competitive passions for violence and revolution have left me sore! So good riddance, we are finding our Midway, balancing our deductive language Logos family and our inductive autonomic Mythos Memory

as +UracilRomeo = CytosineJuliet, double-bound reverse-temporal Uracil (concave bilaterally equivalent fold).

Fr. Time:
Sometimes your Gaia Story is too negentropically dissonant with the Logos family’s Golden Rule.

Sr. Gaia:
Yes, but only when Yin as Yang and Yin as Yin are not in appositional alignment, and Yin always plays as a metaphysical future or past tense mythic noun, icon. Yin is never real-time, but half past time and half future time, working her karmic grace to keep these two together.

Fr. Time:
Left alone, you cannot yet speak?

Gaia:
Yes, my Romeo, I need both our co-gravitational “Yes to Life” enculturations,
your politically powerful Logos of permacultural history,
and our economically abundant flowing Mythos
of polycultural real-time double-bound Continuous Quality Improvement resolving outcomes.

Co-Tipping Point of perpetually balancing harmonics.

Fr. Time:
You always were the more strategic Win-Win cooperative player.

Sr. Gaia:
Oh, Father, I bet you say that to all the girls, and boys,

of balanced Win-Win culture.

Professor:
OK. Very good. So first, Fr. Time and Sr. Gaia,
how do you think that game was going?
Any concerns or insights about Win-Lose suboptimization?

Sr. Gaia:
It feels like Yang is too Left-brain dominant,
too competition-default.

I realize it’s Yang’s role to carry the dense, hot, close inhalation side of gravity’s bi-elliptical wave toward the future,
on which this Universe surfs in timeless eternity,
and I value those political and economic qualities and quantities,
forms and functions,
all those verbal dynamic kins of cultural incarnations
that must continue to emerge
for Win-Win outcomes.

Yet, I am terrified of becoming too thin,
too cool and shy,
too absent,
too chaotically dispersed,
dissonant,
despairing,
suffering,
disappearingly absent,
dead inside,
because I do so love this time as Earth.

I hope we can grow more accustomed
to unearthing together,
Logos with Mythos,
science with religion,
permacultural politics and procedures with polycultural outcomes
in bicamerally balanced sight.

Wouldn’t know what to add to our full-octave throated soprano’s resonant RNA-fractal ring of life’s four temporal seasons,

What is this Yang-verb with Yin-shadowy noun relationship?

Fr. Time:
Like ‘Earth’ is a yin noun

while ‘unearth’ is a yang verb.
If ‘UnEarth’ were used as a negative-polynomial noun,
then I guess that would be most everything we know nothing about
except perhaps through our imagined thinning,
cooling,
