TwiceTold Tales

Listening to a bus driver mom
speak about her bipolar son
withdrawing from meds,
hoping to qualify
for traumatizing military service

Praising her graduating son’s strong Christian school,
invested in sweaty anger management technologies,
learning to tolerate what and whom
he will not learn to love.

How to respond?
Must we choose only behavioral tolerance stretching
or centering and deep breathing meditations?

She readily acknowledges hearing about centering-breathing
compassion stretching meditation,
but has had no embodied experience,
drawn toward neurosystemic
compassion nurture
and pleasure nature.

Hearing
while not breathing Yang in
to breathe Yin out
probably won’t mean too much to her

Much less breathing in interdependent love
and breathing out isolating fear

Maybe
inhale enlightening God the Father
to exhale peace empowering Holy Spirit

And, with his hyperactivity,
probably easier for him to begin doing this while walking
at some comfortable pace
outdoors,
away from sounds of too much Yang
industrial sounds
and sights
and smells of machines.

He and she might experientially learn,
over extending passion time,
to bring re-centering focus
into indoor sitting and standing,
listening and speaking, voices

Maturing
more Left-Right ego/eco-balanced
interdependent relationships
of cooperative SacredMind/OrganicBody
gratitude

For indigenous wisdom,
Left deductive and Right inductive.

It was past time for her to pull away.
As I watched her diesel exhaust follow her down laurel hill road,
I wondered about why Western monotheistic minds
seem so stuck on seeing “organic” and “sacred”
as if two distinctively different and incompatible worlds.

Why theological beliefs cannot also be teleological faith
and vice versa,
and one need not be more poignant
without the other.

Why human biological nature
cannot also be
sacred-divine ecological nurture,
the still speaking and listening sensory voices
of cobinary transgendered Elders past

Running through rivers of veins and arteries,
through our bones and marrow,
through our brained neuro-streams
engaging in formation
and disengaging out spiration

Sight and sound cognizing minds
with touch and feel intuiting bodies,
absorbing healthy compassionate pleasures
and toxic dispassionate displeasures,
sacred living Earth’s cobinary appositions.

Why must we have such a transcendent divide
between our Creator God of regenerative processes
and our re-creative human natural indigenous mind
evolved from healthy organisms
engaging sacred EarthMother preservation
conservation
Peace Warrior defense?

I can see where a theologically all-powerful God
emerges through monoculturing monopolistic
anthropocentric teleology
anticipating positive health
and monotheistic nurturance.

And,
I can also feel deep teleological meaning
climaxing in a beloved communication experience
of inside/outside co-relationship
inspiring Bodhisattva Warriors
for Gaia Hypothesis polycultural
panentheistic sacred peace
and EarthTribal organic justice

Why is nondual co-arising pantheism
and polycultural teleology
roadblocked by LeftBrain dominant minds?

This dominance over Western monotheism
and teleological anthropocentrism
was historically and culturally,
physically and metaphysically,
bootstrapping a cooperative cobinary lifeline more
and a competitive irreligious deadline less

Toward bicameral Left/Right
Win/Win co-intelligence

OrganicBody/SacredMind co-arising nonduality
of Eastern bilateral karmic RootYin/CrownYang
depolarizing strength
of abundant flow
for Western PeaceWarrior
personal health and public safety
grace

LeftCrown liberating
and
ElderRight Root conserving
West and East
North and South
CerebralCortex and BrainStemmed Body
co-interdependently nurtured/natured
rebalancing win/win bilaterals

Risk aversive hearts
resisting too much Yang diesel-fueled politics,
not enough Win/Win CoOperative Anthro/Eco Logical Economics.

Too much privileged breathing in
God the monotheistic enlightened Father,
not enough exercising out
Gaia the panentheistic HolySpirit empowering Mother

Nurturing theological
and naturing teleological
transforming neuro/eco-systemic
compassionate pleasures more,
dispassionate displeasures less

One sacredly singing
and organically dancing
win/win step
in anthropological
EarthMothered time.

How Sacred Earth Has Lost

The title,
How the West Came to Rule,
disturbs me enough to continue reading,
like wanting to escape a nightmare
but too fear frozen with why it could never truly end well
to stop dreaming.
In this case,
is to stop reading.

This history of violent capitalism’s romp across Earth,
fueled by eco-political engines of Europe,
and then industrialized and militarized former colonies,
is brilliantly nuanced and developed

And yet, for me,
the subtitle GeoPolitical Origins of Capitalism
is also the story of
How the East Came to Defeat
through more economically
and politically cooperative-normed extended families

Elder Venerating as reconnecting practice
nurturing personal and familial prosperity,
multiculturally held as religious and ethical,
ecological and psychological,
natural and spiritual grace

Invoking dipolar cobinaries–
yang/yin
FatherSun/EarthMother
mountain/valley
patriarchal/matriarchal
enlightening/empowering
polytheistic ecological balance

In remarkable contrast
to anthropocentric monotheistic
industrially militarized capitalism’s
Great Chosen People Assumption
of worldwide colonizing salvation
by means of unfortunately necessary ballistics
because of Original Anthropocentric Sin,
imagining a monotheistic god
made in our own capitalized
competitive Winner v Loser
prosperous image.

Quite different
than Eastern veneration
of cooperatively co-redeeming mature bodhisattvas
multigenerationally connected
back to sacred EarthMother/FatherSun
prime ecological Earth-pleasure/Anthro-passion
Golden Rule relationship
polyculturally reiterated
throughout worldwide
Creation Story indigenous wisdom

In the West, progressively salvific tough-love
monotheistically justified colonizing wars
to feed anthropocentric prosperity
value measured in capitalized wealth
gained by God-endowed aristocrats
practicing, by divine right,
Saint v Sinner colonization
acquisition

Monotheistic might
makes anthropocentric right
to own Earth’s unstraight
unwhite
unmale commodities

Scientifically supported
by an evolutionary historic theory
that Win v Lose competitive survival
of the anthropocentric fittest
brings more powerful prosperity
than WinYang/WinYin cooperative thrival
of EarthCentric peace-making integrity.

I continue reading
How the West Came to Rule
Anievas and Nisancioglu,
and continue my nightmare epic
How the West Came to Lose Earth Health
as authentically resilient Anthro Wealth.

We have become anthropocentrically capitalized
patriarchal lust for acquiring organic property
through immoral condemnation
and illegal colonization,
justified by messianic ideation

Rather than EarthCentric cooperative
matriarchal love for sacred bodhisattva co-redemption
through spiritual AnthroMind compassion
and natural EarthBody pleasure.

How the West Came to OverRule PolyCulturing Wealth
could evoke reborn again opportunities for ecotherapy,
newly woke nonviolent communication responsibilities,
even academic authority?
for how the West and East cooperate
to OverRule Past-Climate Pathologies

An indigenously panentheistic way
of venerating our holy sainted organic Elders,
Left and Right bicamerally indigenous co-intelligence
multiculturally endowing EarthTribe resilient resonance
with West/East bihemispheric prosperity.

Valentine’s Day Resilience

Gratitude
for grace already received
is a robust measure of generosity.

Compassion scans for generosity’s fullness
felt within
as incarnated without

As dispassion predicts greed’s anxious emptiness.

Giving is physical and/or verbal
while generosity is mental and nonverbal.

Giving,
like loving,
hoping for a return of grace
within your lifetime’s future,
does not share
or stretch
your gift of generosity.

Giving,
hoping to receive in equal measure,
plus interest,
plus loyalty,
plus admiration for our generosity,
is an investment
which counts the cost
of risking loss

Not necessarily a failure of gratitude,
or love,
for oneself
as for Other,
and also
not an outward compassionate act
of inward
mind-nourishing generosity.
