We have all heard of social capital
and natural capital,
of social democrats as antisocial plutocrats
and cooperatively-owned capitalist corporations,
including bipolar republics, perhaps.

These are all forms of regeneratively healthy intent
to further cooperatively nurturing ecopolitics,
as contrasted to degenerative antisocial trends
toward further climate and landscape reactionary pathologies,
alien-fear and patriotic anger incensed,
flavored,
darkly nurtured.

For example,
early Christians believed the death and resurrection of their loving Messiah
reincarnated within their own cooperative nurturing hybrid communities
would regeneratively inoculate them
from a jealous YHWH’s apocalyptic
post-millennial
revolutionary climate changing war
against those who killed His divine-humane hybrid.

Now, within Christian cultures some two millennia later,
saying one does not believe in following Jesus
has become equivalent to not believing in the superior power of love
over degeneration.

Such climate health denier claims have become both internally contradictory,
oxymoronic,
and self-defeating,
self-denying,
Earth-denying in a larger capital cooperative sense
of climate change as internal/external cooperative health emergence.

For example,

could ever become more resonant and robust
than continuing WinLose militaristic capitalism.

And yet,
whether you have faith in cooperative regeneration
as more robust than competitive degeneration

their creolizing-democratizing potential,
within Earth’s moist humus,
as revolutionary eco-messianic events,
evidence of God’s radically accessible love

God-killing wrath
about our own mortality,
and the daily humiliations of ego competitions largely not conclusively won,
growing mistrusts,
weeds,
dying thorns among redolent roses.

Climate change
is about both climatic degenerative trends
and climate regenerative nurturing possibilities
for politically cooperative global and individual peace
with ecojustice,
economically ecological.

Yes,
climate change is about apocalypse
and critical-crisis revolutions
within ecopolitical patriarchal
and political-economic domestic matriarchal
harmonious choices and ballots of reiterative discernment
over dis-harmonious debates and competing ballistics.

But,
saying we do not believe in this revolutionary end
to LeftBrain competitive EitherWin/OrLose dominance
is oxymoronic.
LeftBrain dominance is the capacity and odds and ends of language to speak active trust,
to admit ambivalent mistrust,
to declare unredemptively active distrusts.

LeftBrain Might-Makes-Right-And-Bright v WrongWaste
doesn’t care if you believe in its dominating history,
every time you continue feeding yourself
and your children
with your dominant right hand
your LeftBrain actions speak
your oxymoronic confusion of hybrid ecopolitical praxis.

It is as if your right hand
is not aware of what your less socially nurtured left hand
is not doing
as equivalently
as nutritiously
as capital-invested
powerfully.

Eschatology and revolutions
millennialism and global and even personal climate crises
are all about social-natural cooperative nurturing re-investment,
extending out,
democratizing,
creolizing,
healthing our Golden Capitalist MindBody Rule,
to love YHWH-Tao and MotherEarth as oneself
is to cooperatively nurture capital investments
in doing to and with Earth’s matriarchal womb
as we would have all other interdependent capital life-forms

National Public Radiators

All this long week
of early spring head colds
our National Public Radio informants
and performers,
speakers and listeners,
have been about the business of raising capital investments
preferably in their corporate direction,
to support further public broadcasting
for the benefit of our children
and their children,
and so on.

While this has often felt like a guilt-inducing headache,
I was drawn into a list of statistics about NPR listeners.
Contrasts between those who do listen
and those who do not,
or,
more likely,
those who send in cash,
and those who do not.

At first the list seemed random.
More likely to recycle,
to attend live theater,
go to the symphony,
grow gardens,
bake their own cookies,
read bedtime stories to their kids,
read anything at all.

And then I realized we are looking at social capital;
growing and re-investing in social capital.
What a permacultural designer would relabel
and spread across endangered soils and waters and souls
as eco-capital re-investment;
re-investment in ourselves
in each other’s talents and ideas and skills
in Earth’s re-creative abundance.

The economic thing sometimes not noticed
by ecopolitically cooperative re-investors:
high consumers tend to also be high producers.

So, while they didn’t say so,
I have heard it said elsewhere,
NPR listeners also list heavily toward higher education,
and rabid too-the-roots,
White Protestant Victory Or Die
Republicans know what that means.

Why isn’t eco-capital investment as robust
in traditional Republican neighborhoods,
as in more multicultural Democratic necks of woods
and urban forests?
Or is it?

While there may be as many answers
as there are people who do not invest cash in NPR,
I suspect those Republicans who prefer to NPR listen,
rather than RightWing AM Rant,
also find this soft correlation between deeper learning
and eco-capital active re-investment troubling
to their centrist nurturing instincts and orientations.

It seems difficult to listen to an International Public Cooperative Economy
while simultaneously expecting positive outcomes
from ecopolitically competitive egocentric and supremacist
nationalistic success is divinely inspired
by God’s Invisible Hand of Independent Might Makes Right EgoNomics.

While it seems harsh and judgmental
to speak cooperative prophecy to competitive strength,
we might do well to remember
with Paulo Freire
that teaching is best practiced as mentoring,
and mentoring is always ecopolitical cooperative,
more than competitive, relationship.

Political mentoring relationships that work,
whether you are part of an academic research community,
or part of an architectural design and implementation team,
or part of a cooperatively-owned and self-governing corporation,
require Yangstrength of balance to fall on the side of harmony,
resonance,
both-and nutritionally inclusive and diverse health,
rather than egocentric
eco-capital disinvestment through autonomous competitions,
in a monocultural assumption of EitherOr fundamentalism
where Earth’s historically regenerative evidence
more resonantly broadcasts BothAnd eco-capital re-investment.

If love powers define ecopolitical power of WinWin cooperativity,
so fear power refines mistrusted egopolitical WinLose competing disempowerments,
then we could not have healthy and reliable growth of empirically-supported and replicated information,
much less wealthy faith re-investment economies,
unless the power of positive eco-capital investment
overwhelms and absolves powers of negative ego-decapitation
capitalistic small-self-investment.

But then,
I am one of those International Public Broadcasters,
so sometimes my multicultural balance
can become merely eisegetically polypathic,
which is a multisyllabic way of saying
nuts
and empty zero-sum notnot double-bound.

If we were to follow a health model
for optimizing both economic and ecological wealth outcomes,
then investment in public and domestic educational systems
for active ecotherapeutic practice
and developing cooperative, self-regenerative systems,
would become our primary fiscal investment,

While military-surgical remediation
of past overly-competitive pathologies
would become a more secondary retaliatory Win-Lose
defensive strategy,
reserved for proportional disinvestment
in further nationalistic and/or tribal sickness.

So, we might have a slow-growing Educational Defense Department
with a big multicultural peace-mentoring curriculum
and proportionally appropriate investment priorities
for growing active peace domestically,
as globally.

And, a more slow-shrinking Military Police Surgical Department,
with a much smaller multicultural re-education agenda
for WinWin ecosystemic strategies
for evolving long-term cooperative remediation
to re-establish peace with justice
mercifully matriarchal/patriarchal domestic
as graciously extending our global family
through further revolutions of regenerative networks.

Two seminal Biblical teachings seem relevant
to this health and prosperity model.
Those who live by ballistic WinLose swords,
shall die by the sword,
alone.
Yet, those who live by active cooperative co-redemptive love,
shall die in love,
together as One Interdependent Body.

If our personal and political ecotherapeutic love-lives
are a two-edged sword,

leaving competitive WinLose military divestment priorities
to a more secondary defensive strategy
for remedially,

Organic Time Travel

My body restrains my mind.
Logic as ecologically constrained,

like rain does not fall up
unless I am standing on my head.

Imagination often resists such sparse frugality of powers,

I can imagine pleasure of mind
capable of visiting China for an hour one day
and one night,
a particular coastal town,
a particular family,

looking back at me
imagining how he would look and sound
to someone like me
from a coastal town in the U.S.
And then my mind’s eyes become his,
looking out at his loved ones
and actively distrusted ones
and his vistas and landscapes and climate smells
and hopes and fears.

Then the tip of South Africa
in the next hour,
then visiting both Syria and Korea
five hundred years ago
to explore constancy and change
in how we look and sound,
smell and taste,
how we feel trusting and mistrusting
and how we might feel about my RealTime ego-mind,
and then visit again five hundred years from now
to notice in this same variety of ego-
and eco-conscious ways.

Yet, in all these disembodied images
my frequent flyer
yet frugal ego remains relentlessly enclosed
by limitations of my own body’s continuous memory
of ego-eco centering mind,
favoring simplicity of transparent confluence,
aesthetics of balance and symmetric full-color harmony,
ethics of mutual time travel
empathically trusting and mistrusting out
then breathing back in with equanimity.
