DiSpiritual Aches and Pains

I have questions
about spiritual problems
with natural causes.

These questions
themselves
assume a metaphorical double-bind
co-passion in-between
Left with Right hemispheres
in Nature with Spirit bilateral dialogue

Informed, I hope,
by win/win historic experiential roots:

What has “nature v spirit” tension meant
in my life?

What have been my win/win
win/lose
lose/lose experiences
with natural Earth?

How has my relationship with nature
been a solitary
and/or communal
experience?

What are my poems,
music,
choreography,
photographs,
scripture
about nature
that feel meaningful?

How do these communications
separate humanity
from nature
and/or include human beings
becoming compassioned within nature?

In my learned theology
ecology,
are we spirits
or saints
or souls
or divinely inspired supernatural creatures
creations,
wanting to be raptured away from natural Earth?

Is Earth both an exterior natural
and interior spiritual potential
integral Paradise,
an EarthTribally cooperative Garden,
growing both spirit nurturing healthy truth
and nature healing wealthy beauty,
democratic health/wealth trust,
secular/sacred energy
synergetically balancing democracy?

Do I sometimes feel hopeless,
and do I long to be able to feel warmth,
welcome,
and belonging from Earth HerSelf?

Am I often confused and bewildered?
Do I wish I remembered
or knew
what eco/theo-logically harmonic clarity
might feel like?

Do I feel a distrust so deep
that I would need a win/win trust transplant,
a replanting revolution,
in order to ever feel faith
in anything again;
including my own ego/eco-identity?

Do I need acknowledgement of my original mortal life-line,
from win/lose natural beginnings
ending in inevitable loseEgo and loseEarth?
Was mortal self-identity
like a spirit v nature bomb
that destroyed my original win/win promise
born of Earth
and all of win/win rapturous humanity
in each timeless moment
of human nature’s spirited experience?

Do I need absolute guarantees
of win/win protection,
compassioning simplicity,
and restorative peace
reweaving short-term
through long-term
ease?

After engaging this list of self-medications,
does climate resonance,
internally spiritual
and externally natural,
feel lose/lose further apart
or win/win
more cooperatively ego/eco-therapeutic?

Fear of Success

Fear of personal
and disconnecting
ego-success
feels reasonable to me

Too much adulating feedback
from old friends vaguely envious
that I would place myself above
and before them
sacrifices integrity
more resonant with us,
immersed in ecosystemic success,
embodied health,
resilient Earth-rooted wealth.

Children
especially straight white physically-privileged adolescents,
have grown self-empowerment rights
to autonomous personal lifestyle differences,
risks of failure,
opportunities toward narcissism,
as contested by parents
who often have our own anthropocentric issues
about humane success and failure.

Democratically grateful adults
have grown rights to self-determination
responsibility of personal con-science
consciousness authority
over-against God/Gaia,

Completing the circle
of young developing secular ego-systems
competing
rather than cooperatively owning and managing
appreciating immersion within
sacred ecosystemic Earth.

Perhaps LeftBrain’s WinLose risk
is also RightBrain’s WinWin opportunity
to aspire toward resilient God/Gaianess,
as bicamerally GoldenRuled together
ego/eco-systemic nest.

Mr. and Mrs. Spratt

My father,
who tolerated no fat,
predicted I would do nothing right
or good,
much less healthy,
in my lifetime.

My mother,
absorbing nothing too mean or lean,
felt I could do nothing wrong
now,
so probably later as well,
welfare wellness.

Neither my father,
mother,
or I
seemed particularly surprised
when I rose and fell
somewhere in-between
these two extremes,
as do we all
I suppose.

And yet I wonder
about my father’s hierarchical value structure,
placing perfection on Earth’s highest
biggest
thickest welfare state.

And remain silently awed
by my mother’s reverse-hierarchical terms
endearing depths of greatest compassion
for who is deeper
and thereby more robust
than whom.

I suppose this means something
about where sexuality conjoins
sensuality,

About triangular cognitive structures
amid diamond infolding co-relationships,
about 1’s
intersecting 0-Zones,
about light
foreshadowing dualdark reminders
of perfection,
about fullness of time
within timeless absence,
eternally co-arising.

Although,
neither Yang’s ominous
hierarchical value predictions
nor Yin’s generously interdependent
deep learning hopes,
sexual and sensual,
were all that helpful
for adolescent me,
struggling with spectral we.

Gospel Rewrites

I think, and sometimes fear,
we have two ways, maybe more,
to read the four holy gospels,
and any sacred scripture,
and any regeneration/degeneration story
of creative tension,
win/win sweet spot future aspirations
midst win/lose historic raw spots
of past experience.

We can read Earth’s inspired articulations
as a book of spiritually correct answers,
removed from complex historical-cultural context
in a move toward fundamentally correct creed development
for moral
and political
and economic
and ecological correctness.

And/or
we can listen for Earth’s expirations
and inspirations,
reading and listening to naturally spiritual correcting questions,
embedded in universal historical
and uniting multicultural content
of fundamentally healthy development
for resiliently robust climates
and cultures,
timeless times of spiraling revolutionary win/win
ego/eco-logical balance corrections.

If we too readily approach sacred scripture for morally correct answers,
we are likely to forget
divine purpose seeks better,
more inclusive,
inviting,
transparent,
vulnerable,
courageous and curious health questions.

Personal Politics

Often,
personal issues are not entirely about some violation of rights,
but also about politically empowering responsibilities
to cooperatively take care of ourselves,
our healthy/unhealthy families,
our neighborhoods and local communities,
our faith communities and eco-villages,
our states and nations
and oceans and international associations,
our competitive cooperatively-owned commons
and economic corporations
and ecological organic incorporations.

Often,
personal issues
are our greatest political health opportunities
to invite compassionate democracy
by letting go of competitive disempowering degenerative evolution theories,
to invite rightbrain consilience
by letting go of left brain cognitive/affective detachment dissonance.

Often,
personal rights issues
are also political healthy wealth responsibilities.

Hijacked Identity

I awake again with this left-brain thought
that an economic conservative
about balancing his ever expanding budget
looks at my mountainside forest of firs
as a green commodity
for potential exploitation.

Yet when this same conservative
resides in this same fir forest,
now threatened by a large lumbering corporation,
he sees these same trees,
like himself,
as prey
in a win/lose zero-sum value-retention game.

Then I have this right brain passion
that an ego/eco-logically harmonic nondualist,
all about right responsible relationships,
feels and acts with compassion toward these same trees
in this cooperative win/win forest
internally governed by WiseElder firs, regenerative,
from whom we learn
to nutritionally
resiliently,
naturally,
spiritually climax
and recommence together, after loss,
in secular/sacred solidarity
of co-passioning seeds
structured to anticipate four-seasoned wealth givers
and receivers
of Earth’s forested pro-active health care,
robustly optimizing self/other value maintenance.

These reviewed landscapes are not mutually exclusive.
Yet only the last is cooperatively left and right
nondualistically inclusive,
like ethical truth with aesthetic beauty,
compassion spiritually foresting natural integrity.

CoHabitating Peace

A sustained mystery for more long-term resilient cohabitation
is how to exchange high tolerance for ambiguity,
with, and not for, active curiosity about both/and ambiguity,
vulnerable dipolarity both/anding transparent bipolarity,
merging win/lose stuckness
in our emerging collective illusion
of ego-identity’s fundamental
sacred
monocultural autonomy

Autonomy of identity
as if both necessary and sufficient
before humane/divine multicultural interdependence
could grow more robustly possible,

Rather than this Other historical way around
healthy yinterdependent yindivid-yangation
prior to egalitarian sacred identity
actually co-passioning
healthy dualistic potentiality,

While still in EarthMother’s
ego/ecofeminist sanctuary
of integrity,
secular/sacred co-passioning Womb.

A more sustained mystery of more long-term resilient cohabitation
is exchanging high tolerance for ambiguity,
with, and not for, active curiosity about co-acclimating
trans-regenerations of nurturing timelessness.
