Becoming PolyPathic

To become polypathic should feel regenerative, good, positive,
maybe even beautiful, graced,
like we are inviting only the positive karmic stuff of Earth
and humanity.

Pathology, on the other hand, is degenerative,
negative antipathy,
it is reductive.

While health, fed by consistently good sensory-neural nutrition,
is regenerative,
positive empathic trust;
it is inductive–
which is double-bind notnot deductive,
degenerative,
negative.

A polypathic double-negative
regeneratively inductively feels
like it could only equal a polynomial positive,
as notnot equals yes.

So regenerative life becomes equivalent to notnot fully degenerated death,
yet.

PolyPathology is the ecopolitics of how these two are
and are not
equivalent normative-descriptive
and ethical-prescriptive
positive WinWin values
and notnot double-binding LoseLose disvalues,
empathic trusts and anti-pathic distrusts,
with multiculturing-creolizing Tipping Points
of polypathic equilibrium in-between,
midway YangLeft and YinRight.

Paths,
to science and religion and philosophy,
share one bilateral nature/spirit
dynamically nutritional health/pathology,
ecology,
ethology,
theology,
one bicameral Way,
BothAnd bilateral truths,
multiculturing-acclimating-creolizing lives,
dipolar co-arising Tao,
Sacred Evolutions of EarthAcclimation
and YinFlow ReVolutions of ReAcclimation-Reversion.

You can imagine how the monocultural surface and interior of both sun and moon
appear and sound and feel,
hot and cold and airless.

But,
can you imagine how the multicultural surface and color-drenched soils of Earth
would so miraculously appear
and longingly sound
and polypathically feel
green and blue and ultra-violet,
dark and light,
neither too hot or cold or airless to survive
and potentially thrive,
as regeneratively viewed from either sun or moon?

Can you reweave this muticulturing miracle
of cooperatively owned and managed climate
for breathing in self-acclimating Yang
to breathe out re-acclimation of our WinWin-YinYin LightSquared-Fractal
re-investing Earth,
home,
ego/eco-conscious CenterCommons,
full-color violet transcendent denseblack/whitelight octaves
of fertile ergodic nutritional rhythms,
patterns ecopolitical notnot pathological?

If so,
then you,
like any creature capable of seeing both sun and moon,
and imagining how Earth’s regenerativity would feel fertile by comparison,
are well on our way of reweaving healthier cooperative climates
of polypathic WinWin consciousness.

Making Hay

Make hay while the sun shines.

I grew up as a closeted polypathic nature-mystic
on a marginal, at best, family farm
in Michigan.

This farm was my embryonic home,
an extension of my vastly loved and nurturing Mother,
more than my workahoic homophobic Father,
who most emphatically did create a patriarchal god in his own image.
His farm was for slave labor.
Her farm was a garden for growing healthy wealth.

I loved Mom’s Multi-ReGenerational Family Farm
like an extension of my ego’s mind and body.

And, like a turtle without a shell,
when I first headed off to Ann Arbor’s University
I brought my happy and healthy ego with me,
eager to begin my new adventure story,
yet I emotionally stumbled,
felt naked and exposed and depressed,
for lack of my embryonic habitus,
my eco-center,
my home,
my interdependently embracing love of sacred spaces
and their seasons of regeneration and degeneration,
growing still and fading without ego me
conjoining.

I was homesick,
but not for Nurturing Nanny
and Fearsome Father
or even Perfect Princess Sister, whom I cherished,
whom I could talk and listen to as whim might invite,
and, although somewhat more of a sore detachment from our farmhouse interior spaces,
my disorienting alienation from Ann Arbor
was as a too-urban outside place
just as my recreating resident embrace
favored my dorm and classroom youth-learning multicultural race
against more oppressive monoculturing times.

To this day,
despite a six week backpacking hike
along California’s Pacific Coast Trail,
plundered by surreal vistas and fragrance and light and unspeakable beauty,
when I imagine a meadow, a field, a woodland,
a pond,
a barn,
an unpaved road,
a gravel drive,
a herd of cattle,
a pen of pigs,
a coop of chickens,
a litter of kittens with eyes still sealed shut,
I recall iconic scenes from this sacred originating home,
my eco-memory
calling my doubly-bound ego-enculturing self
back home
to where we permaculturally began together,
making hay while the sun did shine.

Fundamentalists ReDefined

Fundamentalists compete with and through struggling evolution
as Transitionalists would further peaceful revolutions.

Fundamentalism:
A patriarchal-historical view
rooted in interpretation of sacred scripture
written by a nondual co-arising NatureSpirit
dipolar appositionally rooted
of and for regenerative health,
that would err on the side of removing the “natural” lens,
leaving only the reified “ego-spiritual”.

In Taoism,
this would be ecopolitical bias in favor of PatriarchalYang
and disfavor, suppression, of MatriarchalYin.

In Unitarian-Universalism,
this would be ecological and ecopolitical bias in favor of Universalist-StaticTruth Elitism,
thereby suppressing Unitarian-TransitioningTruth Cooperativism.

Sacred scriptures were originally said
and eventually written down,
within ongoing enculturing evolutionary intent,
inspired by persuasive and celebratory and terrifying experiences,
for those with eyes to see,
and ears to hear,
Earth’s enspirited nature,
both matriarchal and patriarchal,
and all creolizing non-elite multiculturalism in between.

This evolutionary co-empathic trust
in dipolar NatureSpirit creolization of experience and language
resists fundamentalist over-spiritualized
and under-historic denaturalized,
and patriarchal-elitist languaged and modeled,
and modern Cartesian dualist
Either ReGenerativeSpirit/Or DeGenerativeNature
absences of full BothAnd
NatureSpirit
nondual co-arising comprehension.

Human language for interpreting traditional systems
is also human ecopolitical LeftBrain expression for understanding transitioning historical systems,
including wisdom from great bilateral nondualist NatureSpirit thinkers
of the permacultural ancient
through modern deductive-reductive-reifying nature struggling against spirit,
science over spiritual expression,
academic world,
together providing a wealth of creolizing paradigms,
where wealth of science could inform healthy nature-spirit teleology,
and natural co-empathic ethological flow functions
and regenerate/degenerate trend analysis
could reform deep WinWin wisdom science,
to help transition us toward nature-spirit nondual observation
and more nutritional
and less toxic
experience of climates and landscapes in revolving transition.

Nondual co-arising deep-transition multicultural,
rather than denatured and reified-spiritualized fundamental,
thinking
and permacultural bicameral design revolutions
only bring sensory-neural balance and comfort and contentment,
peace with justice,
as we reconnect to this transitional wonder
and NatureSpirit mystery
of emerging life through regenerative interdependence
rather than merely reductively degenerating fundamentalism,
stuck in the LeftBrain cul-de-sac
of furthering interpretations of emergent scripture
as also furthering supremacist patriarchal elitism.

Unless we open our NaturalSpiritual democratic eyes and ears,
and use our bilateral hands and feet,
and our bicamerally inclusive hearts and minds and voices,
all these multiculturing paradigms
cannot cooperatively co-redeem us
from our own competing egocentric and anthrocentric
foundational excesses.

LeftBrain dominant Fundamentalists are to postmodern evolution
as LeftRight MultiCulturing Transitionalists
further cooperative-creolize
patriarch/matriarch reproductive right-with-left resonant revolutions.

Human nature-spirits,
like all Earth’s BodyMind Tribal Natures,
choose between the exegetical neural path most taken
and the eisegetical sensory-imaged paths less taken,
to compare and contrast their optimally creolizing outcomes
when regeneratively combined
for further transitioning,
further choosing
along further regenerative/degenerative branches
of co-revolutionary becoming.

Born to Litter

Is it only coincidental
that pigs have litters
and those who carelessly litter
are Earth-trashing pigs?

Not pigs, dear;
people.
Just not mindful people,
without mature eco-consciousness,
with militaristic habits
of throwing paper and plastic and metallic missiles
out onto our EarthMother Commons,
for all to see and smell and feel badly about,
to suffer tragic loss and deep sorrow.

Like pigs, right?

Well, I suppose
a pig would not distinguish
between ego- and eco-consciousness.
But why would you stigmatize pigs
as opposed to other quasi-domesticated animals
like horses or cows
or sheep
or chicken littles
not the least worried that the climate is failing?

Because those you mentioned don’t have litters.

Yes, but dogs and cats might have litters

Yes,
and you know how much fun it is
to step in their stinky pooh.

I see your point.
Yet still I feel
this must remain a coincidence
of LeftBrain labeling language.

PolyCulturing Education

Polypathic conversation with David Holmgren:

Today it is common to hear the suggestion
[cooperative] education and [therapeutic] training
is the [mindful] key to allowing people to contribute
to a more sustainable [ecopolitical] future.

Although I recognize the value of formal education and training
and [especially cooperatively-owned and managed] communications media,
they are also part of the [competitively commodified] problem
[and therefore also keys to more resonantly cooperative resolutions]
preventing [LeftBrain dominant] us from a more direct [RightBrain-inductive] connection with,
and [bilateral] experience of,
the natural[-spiritual co-arising] world
through [inductive/deductive bilateral] observation
and [bicamerally balancing] experience
[and work/play of curiosity/imagination].

Much could be said about how we need to modify formal education
and the [competitively capital-hungry] media
so they can contribute better to the [humane-sublime
polypathic
multiculturing
creolic] revolution,
but we need to recognize several fundamental
[Leftbrain dominant enculturation] problems.

First,
almost all education,
and especially higher [yet not necessarily deeper] education,
is [redacted] knowledge from secondary [audio-visual] sources,
interpreted through [competing specialist] frameworks
of [limited inter-relational] understanding.

Academic [exegetical LeftBrain dominant] training
that requires every idea and concept be referenced to refereed published [exegetical LeftBrain dominant] sources
is the extremity of this [conserving rather than transitioning] approach
to [reiterative monoculturing memorization
of what once was normatively true
and necessarily so,
yet perhaps not optimally or even sufficiently true
for all times and spaces and complex systems
and so yet hypothetically false,
BothAnd recreatively tensioned with EitherOr.]

Second,
information technology has accelerated the speed of circulation,
retrieval
and reproduction [rights] of [nutritional/toxic] information.
The [commercial] professional packaging
of [LeftBrain reductive] secondary experience
in [massively cooperatively networked] media
promises faster and better ways
to [LeftBrain access others’] learn[ing].

For instance,
in comparison to the wildlife [ecological healthy/toxic] observation skills
and original [6-sensory-neural
(sight, sound, hearing, smell, touch, internal positive/negative feeling nutritional spectrum)
bicamerally polypathic ecosystemic]
thinking.

Third,
almost all formal scientific education is based on bottom-up reductionist [STRUGGLING EITHER/OR AGAINST
top-down bilateral deductivist/inductivist BothAnd] thinking
[screening out cognitive-affective dissonance,
negative unresolved non-resonant psychology].

While the [cooperative multi]cultural harvest from specialized reductionist thinking over the last few hundred years
has been great
[and continues to accelerate],
it is the [cooperatively self-organizing] integration
and [creolizing] cross-fertilization of [regenerative Yang-cause] concepts
and
[Yin-nurturing/caustic BothAnd
bilateral-dialectal
matriarchal implicated affect] ideas
that is now providing the most fruitful results
for dealing with the [Yang/Yin eco]systemic [landscape/climate] problems
of the [regenerative-less/degenerative-more] environmental crisis.

Much of this [positive co-relational co-arising] integrated [comprehension]
is happening outside [formal] educational
[pathology-oriented, continuing competing-issues committed] institutions
[with highly competitive ecopolitical survival issues,
including chronic capital reinvestment].

Ironically,
information and communications technologies
are increasing these [cooperative paid-forward, co-redemptive] possibilities,
although this benefit is over [LeftBrain dominant] content,
and [redundantly tedious] replication over [re]creation;
[degenerative reiterative feedback loops
rather than cooperative self-governing
regenerative double-binding
ego/eco-conscious loops].

Fourth,
and most problematic of all,
formal education at the higher [yet not deeper] levels
is focused on digesting massive amounts of information
within the [slow-growth evolving creolizing] constructs
of separate [and alarmingly unequal] disciplines
and cultures
(such as [Left-Yang, EitherOr] science
and [Right-Yin, BothAnd] art
[nurturing octave flow-fractal regenerative functions,
like 4Base fractal/crystal group/game math,
and 4Season phylogenic reproductive rights and wrong]).

This education lacks wholistic [therapeutic] integration
with [health-wealth ecopolitically oriented] living experience
and its insights and truths often make little [shallow] impression
on the underlying [Right-YinFlow nurturing-absorbing-resonant] structures
of [comprehensive] understanding
and [internally felt committed] belief [as co-empathic trust]
created by [LeftBrain might makes right] family [conservative-supremacist] upbringing,
mass [consuming dominating producer] media
and popular [nationalized ecopolitical WinLose competition] culture.

In many fields
we find the [global glory] solutions
to [ecological within and without] problems
are known [and felt]
but are not [regeneratively] applied
for a myriad of specific [LeftBrain constipated cul-de-sac] reasons.

The core of these problems is [competing mutually mis-communicating and therefore gradually degenerating exegetical-monoculturing belief systems]
which people appear to [conserve to defensively] hold
have not been [creolic EitherOr-evolution/BothAnd-revolution] integrated with
and [regeneratively-therapeutically-cooperatively] reinforced
by their [Left-Right bicameral polypathic
ecologically ecopolitical] personal experience
[of regenerative health and competitively degenerative pathologies].

Syria Reconstructed

It is in our fragile, nearly broken, exposure
that we are most available for love
and remedial gratitude,
rather than the louder applause
of our full-blown ballistic glory.

While exercising restrained patience breeds tolerance,
giving pregnant reign to co-empathy compels timeless flow
of organic eternity.

Empathy grows fragile compassionate pause,
easily broken by impatient overexposure
to loud adulation,
or even more necessary restrained,
sufficiently polite,
applause.

I have never been to Syria
but I remember it used to be a great place
for healthy wealth.
High quality of co-regenerative life.
Deep, robustly multicultural
and cooperative commercial root systems.

All their neighbors either preferred to just be left alone,
Plan A,
or to become a creolic part of Syria,
Plan B
if peacefully possible,
rather than other empire building prospects
and militarized capital-pirating offers,
like from Rome, for example.

Syrian culture was more intentionally creolic,
absorbing,
deep-resonant layered,
looking for WinWin resolutions,
while Rome was more competitively
“all roads and revenues shall lead to home,
which is Rome”,
more WinLose devolution,
when you are on the not-so-neighborly end
of the military capital-sucking stick,
sometimes the last ecopolitical straw.

I was thinking about this
as I listened to the restrained applause
for the recent WhiteHouse “beautiful bomb” response
to Assad’s prior release of chemical bombs.
WhiteHouse military-industrial incorporated intent
apparently was aimed at weapons
inconveniently provided by Russia,
more than the Syrian weapon-holders themselves.

At the same time,
the all-wise ecopolitical policy gurus
remind us this is a LoseLose necessary investment response
but not sufficient for a longterm plan
with capacity for positive regenerativity.

I mean,
what would that look like?
I shoot your guns
until they are gone.
Then what would we do with all our military toys?

Perhaps we could begin deploying them upon each other
here in the U.S.,
after all the humans,
and other favored critters,
are removed from firing range.
But this seems like an expensive and taxing habit
and one that domestic neighbors of military installations
would probably find detrimental to real estate values
and quality of life,
like being able to sleep at night
without worrying the Army is planning to demolish
the Navy’s nuclear submarine parked in the river
just behind my backyard.

No, the pundits are right,
we also need a WinWin plan.

If I were a Syrian counter-revolutionary,
or the mother of a young Syrian terrorist,
I think I would invest in planting edibles,
especially trees,
to reverse desertification,
played-out soil,
currently reduced to more of a ballistic mine field,
improving purity and flow of water supply
for the long climate therapeutic haul,
and keeping Syrian air clear of toxic nastiness
like bullets and bombs,
sundry ballistics.

These are very hard on trees
and other organic reproductive rights.

Now I can already hear you thinking,
“He sounds like more of a feminist carpenter
who only has a tree planting hammer,
so all problems look like nails
rather than international cooperative opportunities
to play WinWin policy designer.

But, in defense of the carpenter
with a limited one tool arsenal,
this carpenter could be somebody’s mother
who also has a shovel
and a thing for WinWin long term regenerative interior landscapes
and exterior climate ecotherapies.

Moms remember
that WinWin Mother’s Milk
is more cooperatively primal
than competitive ballistic WinLose;
EitherMilitary/OrWhat? OrganicReMediation?

We have both tools,
hunting with WinLose guns
and gathering then planting WinWin embryonic seeds
of healthy ecosystemic wealth.

So, if our Trump card
has to be fight guns with guns
on one politely applauding hand,
necessary, but not regeneratively sufficient,
unless we really do choose to act more like ancient Patriarchal Rome
than ancient Matriarchal Syria,
then why not also share our shovels and seeds,
our Bodhisattva CoMessianic Matriarchal PeaceBuilders,
and our restrained Patriarchal WarMakers?

It is in our fragile, nearly broken, matriarchal exposure
that we are most available for love
and remedial WinWin gratitude,
rather than the louder patriarchal applause of history

The landscape is our textbook
and climate outcomes are our scripture.

Decomposing failure is useful
so long as we learn polypathic cooperation

Elegant solutions are simple,

for polypathic ego/eco-redemption

as Other-understanding
Self-Regenerational Loving
as Polypathic Revolutionary Reweaving,
inviting graced karmic egos
to multiculturally cooperate

Grace and Pathology

I hope it would not be a parody of Michael Morrell’s political scientific position
to suggest all relationships are political
and all political relationships fall somewhere on a spectrum
between perfect co-empathic trust,
nutritionally and regeneratively favored by creolizing democracy,
and completely mutual distrust, antipathy,
a rabidly nihilistic strain
of totalitarian ballistic terrorism.

Should this spectrum amply describe tensions between democratic multiculturing trust
and plutocratically elitist monoculturing mistrust
then perhaps we can also see this spectral tension
between positive-regenerate social-psychology
and negative-degenerating entropic nihilism;
between cooperativity of Both/And empathic feeling and faith
and competing Either/Or antipathy
hardened reductively negative belief systems
with absence of good and healthy faith.

We might further stretch this same relational spectrum
to include hope and faith and love
as growing stages of healthy positive psychology,
so despair, and selfish faithlessness,
and raging sociopathic hatred
are parallel emerging stages
of pathologically negative anthropocentric
and egocentric
ecopolitics.

Within this wide egocentric Yang and eco-centric Yin spectrum
we learn and grow and develop our positive and negative psychology,
our health and our pathology,
as regenerative trends and our degenerative decompositional losses
into mutual immunity silos of autonomous self and other hatred;
historically characteristic of densely swarming over-populations,
beyond what Earth can ecosystemically hold and feed and enrich.

In this light and dark nondual co-arising view,
I read Dale B Martin’s understanding of how he can both be a person of Christian faith
and a student of religious and theological dark histories.

“It may well be that I have [positive psychology] faith
just because I was raised that way.
Having grown up in a religious [regenerative-normed] family,
itself the [bilateral-maternal and paternal] product of generations
of Christian people,
I may be psychologically inclined
or [co-empathic trust] habituated
to assume some ultimate [balancing] meaningfulness
of the [yang-yin nondual] universe
and the [healthy] centrality of [ecopolitical] faith for life
[rather than nihilistic despair].”

“Moreover,
my family
though attending a very conservative [homophobic] church,
was generally liberal and [inclusively] progressive.
We weren’t particularly bothered if others did not go to church
or went to a different church
[or adhered to a different positive faith system].”

Professor Martin is a brilliant “out” gay white Texas-reared male
now tenured at Yale.
Because of his family’s progressive co-empathic trust,
his parents quickly acclimated their love,
with a heterosexual-norm presumption,
to love for their gay son,
just another creative stretch of their inclusive and always yet-emerging
positive health psychology.

The primary difference between Dale Martin’s Texas experience
and my own rural Michigan experience,
was my absence of a liberal/progressive parental support system
restraining and creolizing the pathological hubris of elitist-supremacist
“from above” messianic grace
rather than “from deep within” co-empathically trusting grace
and karma.

With that difference,
Dale Martin’s positive Christian psychology has been continuous
throughout his still emerging family tree extension
to include the treasures of other regenerative traditions,
while my own journey has been more discontinuous and disjointed,
stressed and stretching
to ultimately arrive at peace with eco-messianic trust
in regenerative MotherEarth,
compatible with co-redemptive messianism,
in a lavishly creolizing composting transubstantiatingly inclusive way,
fractured and reset
rather than organically whole over my lifetime of Christian rediscovery,
as is the more continuously regenerative faith system
of Professor Martin’s still-emerging grace story.

I know not
if positive therapeutic faith
is a gift from Earth’s historic nutritional bounty,
or an internal growth programmed as positive developmental requirement,
yet I intuit that trust in Earth’s robust cooperativity
as I grow and mature in this sacred direction also
is fertile rooted
both in collective Earth-regenerate systems
and within regenetic health
as co-empathic trusting consciousness.

I know not
if trust in Earth’s regenerate health is a gift
for mistrusting faith in dispiriting competitions.

I know not
if cooperative faith in our trust regeneration
could become positively therapeutic
consumption of competition-producing capitalism,
to win more and faster, sooner,
than my cooperative owning and co-producing EarthTribe.

I know not
how to compete for capital gains
flowing in my autonomous direction
without also producing roots of mistrust
in Earth’s cooperatively regenerate sufficiency
of revolving spiraling time enough to invest in all.

I know not
how to disinvest of our regenerative tree,
root embedded within Earth’s creolizing temporal unfolding compost
to push out cooperatively transforming branches
beautiful to other tree huggers and warmers,
tasters and smellers
listeners and watchers
shaders and lighters
trusting shared regenerous nurturing root system
of Earth’s outrageously public health-wealth bounty.

I know not
how to RightBrain nonverbally communicate
for fertile robust muticulturing outcomes
while LeftBrain verbally speaks
only in degenerative despair
for an ever more monoculturally competitive edge
rather than remaining Left-Right co-empathic trusting
in our shared cooperative capital investment potential
for producing consumer balance
emerging multiculturally robust slow-regenerative depth
and resonant resolutions
of I know not whom and what as yet.

I know not
why cooperative tree design
stores our nutritional capital investments
to invest seeds and nuts
for and of future wealth of fertile regenerations,
eco-mentoring further co-enrichment,
root health-systemic forests.

I know not
all-consuming production
of and for regenerative design
or even trusted co-empathic intelligence,

Buckminster Fuller and Julian Jaynes
recently reviewed their cultural and scientific influence
on health and well-being,
ecological and economic positive outcomes,
during the current CoOperativist NonDual Transitional Era.

I wish I had spent more time speaking as a Unitarian Positive Teleologist.
Perhaps that would have taken care of the overly recessive trends in cultural awareness
of what,
in retrospect,
was exhaustively published
but not really read or comprehended fully;
undervalued and ignorantly ignored:

1. “Synergy,”
everything I ever published about the topic of “synergy,”
is spiritually and intuitively defined as love,
in Western cultures,
and naturally and organically defined as compassionate mindfulness
in Eastern traditions.

2. The encoded regenerative fractal structure of Physical Universal Intelligence
follows DNA/RNA thermodynamic,
electromagnetic,
permacultural,
economic,
psychological and sociological and political,
and ecological Prime Yang/Yin Relationship balance;

and evolutionary dynamics are fractal-dipolar revolving
harmonic Convex-Exterior-Yang OVER Concave-Interior-Yin
(0)-Core Vector Rooted octaves
with branching tree structures.
And,
if I had run into Lin Yutang and Taoism before I published,
I think I would have connected Yang metaphysical principles with Convex-Exterior physical principles,
and Yin metaphysics with Concave-humane natured Interior physical principles
of bicameral-cooperative flow

Yes,
I can see that same sense of ethological and ecological and teleological dynamic
and emergent awareness in the Left-brain’s evolution
out from RNA regenerative temporal RightBrain affective-aptic memory.

My neural theory of bicameral older-right v. linguistic-deductive organized left information processing,
cultural,
and historical development,
seems to support your equivalency between “synergy” and “love-confluent consciousness,”
and positive psychological ecopolitics as rooted in co-empathic trust,
as well as Gregori Perelman’s cooperative bilateral work,
and William Thurston’s too,
in Group Theory,
and I wonder if there isn’t something in there that pertains to the ecologistics
and statistical/strategic trend predictions
of Cooperative Game Theory,
using reverse-hierarchy Win-Win assumptions.
