Melting Ice

Step out with me,
if you would be so kind,
on my melting island of ice.

Full-heated summer sun
feels good on our backs and shoulders
and faces turned down and in to hunt,
to fish.
We start this day with gratitude
for warmth of light and life.

Empathize with polar bears,
or try to.
Not merely sympathize;
actually empathize,
step onto their/our natural icy place and time,
noticing ways bears bare our own lack of global justice
for them
and for ourselves.

Together,
we fear human rights and justice
are not ecojustice enough
to sustain optimized and inclusive life
and Continuous Quality Improvement investments
with minimized risk of loss.

We feel like we live on a shrinking island
of hopelessly competitive despair.

We feel climatic heat melting our angry and fearful interior
and exterior landscapes of nutritional potential.

We fear drowning in an understory
of melted cooperative permacultural boundary waters
of natural systemic immersion,
swimming in an icy northern sea
of metamorphic submersion.

We hunger for a lost hunting paradise
of cooperatively synergetic love.

We feel homeless unto a catastrophic miraculous death.

Death dreams in constellations of encultured space,
dynamic time invested in frequencies of place,
coincidental patterns,
gravitational rhythms,
co-operative flow…

Life is what we absorb each day,
invest in,
divest of each night.

Time is what regenerates future
and decomposes past.

Economic balance is found in nutrients we produce,
not toxins we consume.

Eco-logic ratios and rations
portions and proportions
entifies and gives and dispossesses
rectifies and takes and coredeems
plants and harvests
winnows and composts
thins and nurtures
blames and praises
stimulates and responds
causes and effects and affects and infects and defects and reflects
dislikes and values
lives and decays
orders and confuses
confluates and dissonates
frowns down upon and within and smiles up and without
curses and blesses.

Would it not be good to balance justice
so everything adds up without remainder
double-bound smooth-structured perfection,
mutually justified margins
balancing all sides of any story and issue,
correctly aligned judgment,
a logically normative standard,
a natural law
inclusive of all Earth’s living, breathing values and nutrients,
and elusive of all EarthTribal pathologies
and wilting economies,
failing gardens,
competing losers,
summer seared deserts
as polar bares?

Our ecotherapy calls for more cooperative gardens
and recreations,
and employment,
and lifestyles,
and revolving rhyming analogical norms
for economic behavior,
Golden practice and intent
emerging from ancient threads of transmillennialism.

Synergetic Polyuniversalism,
Post-Taoist multisystemic analysis
of Nature Balancing Time’s Right
to struggle and suffer
toward defining,
harmonizing,
effecting,
regenerating our metamorphic root co-operative system
of, for, and by Time’s Equi-Valent Justice,
in four primally dipolar/bipolar fractal dimensions,
like DNA,
to site our most regenerative example
found in each neurally transpositional cell.

Awaking now,
to our melting ice home,
did we find this ecojustice,
or did RNA find and intelligently develop us,
or both somehow?

Only eternal remembered time’s unfolding
will tell upon refolding.

Therapeutic Justice

When passion plants a permacultural seed,

then justice flourishes a polycultural flower.

 

These two words, permaculture and polyculture, grow holistic significance for our physical, and mental, cultural and spiritual health.

 

Permacultural, as I intend it this morning, refers to Yang’s power for cooperative sustainability of natural systems; power that is universally comprehensive consciousness. Permacultural wisdom is rooted in ancient Golden Rules and Ratios as balanced proportion and right relationship between ego and eco, between self and partners, family, tribe, environment.

 

Polycultural gardens and landscapes,

whether natural-exterior or human natured-interior,

are positive outcomes anticipated,

designed,

beloved by Permaculturalists.

 

The opposite  of  polycultural paradise

we might describe as:

  1. monocultural (not multiculturally therapeutic)
  2. monopolistic and dominating (not mutually cooperative governance, economics, or ecologic)
  3. monochromatic (not polymorphically natured, gened, generated, evolved, not full octave frequencies of color and harmony).

 

Permacultural development is to Yang’s force and power.

as Polycultural outcomes are to Yin’s therapeutic flex and flow.

 

 

And so it is that in this our permacultural parable, we reach back to through all Four Seasons in our UU ReGenesis Community’s polycultural co-passion story.

One winter of discontent, about 1000 years from now, and more, and less, the Universalist Prophets of Justice turned rather coldly upon the Unitarian Mystics of Warm Compassion.

“What happened to Truth, Justice, and the American Independent Way of Freedom; low risk, high yield economic and political life? Why do you overheat all your passion and love and ecological empathy, then serve it wholesale to every suffering, angry, self-medicating, felon and victim of violence and poverty, every socialist and sexual deviant, and those relentless feminist tyrants of chaos and public self-flagellation?”

“You Unitarian Mystics are way over the top, placing too-soft mercy where we need a more tough-love prophetic universal truth voice for justice. As much as you don’t like to hear this, may we most prophetically remind you that justice, like investment, trickles down from entitled power authorities and wealthy depositors from whom more is expected.”

So, as was their practice, these suffering ReGenesis Community Yin-Mystics of too-great compassion went off to hibernate this harsh dark justice, to decompose this permacultural puzzle of the thrival of the economic fittest, and yet also fattest. How could it be that competing weapons of bloated wealth are more powerful than our compassionate Gaia Goddess of ecological “why can’t we all just play cooperatively”  wisdom?  How could an omnipotent benign Unitarian Hostess give birth to litters of runtish parasites without giving them at least a flat playing field for winning more positive outcomes than the dinosaurs?

Having posed their question, the yin-mystics sang their langorous liturgical prayer:

[sung slowly and quietly first verse, building toward passion, second verse]

Twinkle twinkle litte star

how we wonder when you are.

Did you used to be more bright?

Is there still time to touch your light?

Twinkle twinkle too small star,

how we wonder when you are.

Are you us when we are light

Are we you when we shine bright?

Following gratitude for winter’s metamorphic suffering and chronically stressed tough-love teachers,

Grandmother Moon responded with polycultural wisdom of waxing and waning hope for spring’s new life:

 

“When winter’s suffering composts in each person,

compassion grows more inclusive and diverse,

richer, more fertile root systems,

arguing with rather than arguing against,

struggling with rather than struggling against.

 

Composted in the family,

co-passion will optimize wealth of nutritional values for all senses, feelings, awareness;

Composted in the neighborhood and your local cooperative economy,

and political platforms, policies, plans,

co-passion will positively slow-growth multiply;

Organically composted throughout the nations,

cooperative ownership and lifestyles could optimize economic and sociotherapeutic regenerativity,

recreating cooperative Win-Win cultural assumptions

from that old-school pre-millennial Win-Lose competitive economics,

permaculturaling our wealth of nations;

Composting Earth’s natural systemic information,

co-passionate comprehensive consciousness grows Universal Justice.”

 

“Therefore:

According to the individual’s compassion, the individual practices integrative justice;

According to the family’s compassion, the family practices inclusive justice;

According to the Beloved Community’s investment in downstream cooperative compassion,

the community practices ecological justice with and for communities

both upstream and downstream.

How do I know Earth Rights and Wealth of Justice evolve this way?

Earth’s natural flow and function is my compost,

as Her regenerative flow and function is your Elder.”

 

During the subsequent long warm summer days

of maturing gardens and wisdom,

the ReGenesis Community’s Universalist Justice Prophets of the Unraveling Future

and Unitarian Compassion Mystics of Reweaving Cultural Herstory,

stewed this steamy stone soup compost.

 

Each prophet and mystic, Yanger and Yinner, Universalist and Unitarian,

shares his and her struggles with injustice and need,

we sing our segregating sexual, racial, ecological, economic, political, historical and cultural hurt and disappointment,

we dirge our painful risks of exposure,

and anger about harm and violence to and with all Earth’s nature.

including every “my nature matters” message and slogan and sign of impending flying apart, rather than investing in flying together.

We decompose our chronic sub-optimizing economies of impoverishment,

our wants and hopes with literally evaporating faith in anthrocentric future prospects.

We grapple for life fully lived in the future,

at least as well as now.

 

These are gratefully shared

within our families and cooperative residences,

within our diverse ReGenesis committees and projects,

commissions and vocations,

within our PTA education-as-if-life-mattered consumer co-ops,

and our public policy production and vocation industries,

our homeless shelters, prisons, rehab centers, and asylums.

 

Our Autumn Perennial Harvest Report begins, “True justice is no more anthro-centric than ego-centric. No more ego-centric than Left-brain dominant.

 

“Perhaps our permacutural justice opera is sung in a difficult and challenging key, but it cannot be a song if there is no full-octave key accessible within each, and equitably shared by all.”

 

“Compassion seeds suffer and burst, struggle and strain, first within our dark winters,

toward ego-Left and eco-Right balanced root systems,

seeking peace-filling integrity of justice for ourselves,

and then others,

our interdependent co-passionate mentors and messiahs,

and then Earth Herself, with all nature’s species and Tribes,

within all revolving time,

advocate for all generations of life.

 

Universal Justice expands up and out Yang from Unitarian compassion roots,

Yang from Yin,

mutually consuming and productive cycles of becoming fit to thrive together.

 

Universal Justice flowers from Unitarian bicultural yang/yin balance,

as Left to Right hemispheric balance,

as West to Eastern cultural wisdom,

as space from time’s unfolding,

rhythm from rhyme’s iconic order,

rational logic from eco-logically informed systemic function,

deductive reason discerned from inductive,

experiential,

reconnecting wisdom.

 

Left from Right

as regathering nature from regifting Elder spirits,

as belonging grows from longing to reconnect,

as July’s bloom emerges from January’s gloom.

 

 

“Communication of justice,

to be communication at all,

must be a cooperative enterprise;

not a competitively punishing exercise in dominatrix.

 

Information about rights and wrongs,

to be informing,

to be formational at all,

to have integrity,

to become integrative,

Unitarian,

must be a transaction between cooperative subjects with a shared nutritional growth objective.

 

Life, to be fully lived,

and not decadent, diseased, dissonantly restrained, victimizing and violent,

to avoid rushing madly toward flat-line economic segregating death

while still breathing bad air

and beating bad blood;

This polycultural kinda “beloved” justice emerges from cooperative co-passionate vocations

with and for and of all Earth’s Tribes, species, trees and forests and oceans.

Polycultural justice equivalently loves all Earth’s mutually grateful, resonant, seasons and generations,

including summer’s heated gratitude for the suffering sadness of winter,

Polycultural justice invites all Earth’s Past and Future Redeemer Regenerations to Universally Permacultural Life.”

 

And, so, with this Great Transitional season upon us,

all Beloved ReGenesis Unitarian Universalists said:

May we breathe out more fully Unitarian co-passionate light.

May we go forth full-breathing in Universal Light of Justice.

May we add our UUs together, to resolve this hot mess of compassionate Win-Win justice  for our ecosystemic bodies and soils, souls and minds.

transgenerationally revolving back to the beginning of Time’ Universal Integrity and Beloved polycultural consciousness.

as sin and ignorance appear to those possessed by dysfunction.

Production is to consumption
as Host is to parasitic relationship
as Earth is to water,
as Permacultural Design is to Polycultural Flow and Development.

Radiant light is to ionic gravitational dark relationship waves
as protons are to electrons
as future is to past,
as regenerative creativity is to bicameral decomposition.

Synergy is to negentropy
as fire is to air,
as synaptic is to aptic,
as information is to noise.

Investment is for redemption
as cause is for effectiveness,
as power is for optimizing ecovalue,
as teaching is for mentoring.

Polycultures are to monoculture
as speaking is to listening,
as love is to active internal peace,

or maybe sometimes too much non-violent peace,
passive aggressive surfing, searching back and forth,

and therapeutic
States and Species of thrive or demise,
and planet Earth,
and our Universe,
sometimes a metaphysically closing system,
sometimes more beautifully opening
although with considerable stress
tipping points,
trimming tabs and shears,
adjusting balance, halves of ecologic,
within our internal voices of environ-mental health
and beauty.

Humaned nature adds economic
and cultural
and psychological freedom to evolve
kindness of mutual subsidiary intention,
an active love kind of peaceful mind.
Nature is only limited by absence
of regenerative orthopraxis,
caring and nurturing,
economically and politically powerful values.

Ecotherapeutic voices in our nights
and days of reconnecting consciousness
create our orthopraxis
of natural systemic design,
this song of synergy,
creative universal intelligence.

Cooperative kindness and competitive unkindness
are capacities coincident to all of nature,
a polar range from regeneration through decomposition,
from synergy through negentropy,

Kindness and love self-optimize as “Truth”
when we freely choose sufficiency of contentment,

Contending Kindness

Anger and kindness reach for richly polar opposition.

So, can I have any more perfect anger

than I have perfect kindness?

Rumi claims that anger reposes during kindness,

but sleep is not death,

while kindness anxiously awaits

during times of quick vexation,

deeply entrenched resentment and hurt

and fear of pathological repetition

of loss and pain.

 

Suffering wrestles between these two.

Suffering with grows kindness,

while suffering against grows angry.

 

Most of life plays out somewhere between

our competitive and cooperative intent

and suffering

 

mentoring

redemptive intent

regenerative practices

comprehensive

polycultural and multisystemic

karmic grace of ecojustice,

therapeutic diapraxis.

 

No pain, no gain;

No gain, restrain,

retrain.

 

We redeem as we harvest

what we plant

in fertile compost

and toxic salt of dispossessive tears

and laughter at those we’ve left behind and out;

those and that nature we thought we could possess,

own, enslave, use, abuse, victimize, ignore, neglect.

 

Sowing life with Self,

Justice Therapy

There is good sense in all people born equal.

We have equal rights to live,
to breathe,
to sustain our bodies and our families
with sufficient nutrients,
to speak and sound and show and live our truth with integrity
of cooperative purpose.

Yet, in each of these senses of equivalent rights,
it is ethically insufficient to notice
that all human nature has these equivalencies
because all living intelligent natures
share these global rights of ecojustice.

All EarthTribe ecotherapeutically shares our right
to breathe clean air,
to absorb clean water,
to consume healthy organic compost,
to sustain our incarnate being with sufficient nutrients
of sensory absorption,
including gravity,
positive eco-biometric
electromagnetic
thermodynamic function and flow capacity,
to optimally improve our quality of well-being
for all endosymbiotic evolution of all EarthTribe,
a cooperative,
networked confederacy of tribes,
organic cellular functions of any nature,
YangDeductive/Concave with YinInductiveConvex,
self-organizing bionic information systems;
Also known as RNA and, more recently,
fractally-octaved functional bi-elliptical DNA.

All EarthTribe enjoys equal rights,
responsibilities,
authorities,
inductively informed intelligence,
to optimally and continuously sustain health,
ecotherapeutic quality,
and just relationships of mutual gratitude.

A somewhat more critical negative corollary:
I do not believe it could be ethical
to commodify,
own,
enslave,
natural resources.
Ownership contracts with human nature subjects
acting out on natural systemic objects,
can be rethought as mutual stewardship praxis
with symbiotically benign faith,
including ecotherapeutic ecojustice,
ecological orthopraxis of quality improvement
within a mutually subsidiary relationship
of synergetic solidarity.

Human nature seems Natural Systemic-Earth indentured servitude.
Earth’s investment in bionic information quality improvement
prefaces human nature’s globally redemptive shared vocation,
each and all within our redeemer species,
can only unfold/evolve with optimum environmental care
through a Win-Win economic
ecotherapeutic Gaming Teleology.

The Decline of Tao

On the decline of Earth’s balancing Way,
The doctrines of “human ego-nature” and “eco-Yinature’s harmonics” arose
When deduced knowledge and anthropocentric cleverness appeared,
Great hypocrisy and foolishness followed in Earth’s Trimming and Tipping wake.

When the sex internal-linear sequential dynamic frequencies of primal spacetime
no longer lived with optimal confluence, harmony, and interactive peace,
There evolved positive-deviant praise of “kind parents” and “cooperative kids.”

When normative self-governance culture fell into chaos and missing leadership,
There was praise of “ecotherapeutically comprehensive ministers and leaders”
as mutually redemptive mentors.

 

Taoism and Bucky Fuller’s “Synergetics”, and universalist paradigmatic cultures in general (e.g.metaphysics and cosmology, systems theory, mathematics and logic, theology and teleology, meta-economics, cultural history, linguistics, epistemology and ecology), tend to retain a more (0)-centric balancing loyalty toward Earth care, including all natural systems and forms of dynamism and creative life, than other paradigmatic cultures, less universal and polypathic, while more anthropocentric and ego-ionic.

Fullerian synergetic Tao may be equivalent to the eco-logic of Permaculture Design and development of environments, internal and external, because all three paradigms begin with noticing, and listening to, eco-natural systemic logic, including both ethical and aesthetic function, and information, as well as 4-dimensional equuivalent spacetime balance, with (0) Core Vector equal to Perelman’s (0)-Soul Theorem, conjoined with Thurston’s 4-fractal prime dimensional smooth-struetured eco-metric octave +/- closed elliptical relationship.

These physical and metaphysical universal octaves of sight, sound, smell, taste, and feeling, as nutritional fractals, as medicinal crystals, as negative prime appositional dynamic tension-relations, like day and night, or Yang over Yin, revolve as energetic 6-stage RNA dynamic strings, through time, or may be imaged as diastatically closed-event set memories of 8-Byte reverse hierarchy eco-entity “trees” of polynomial information, by Left hemisphere’s deductive reiterative capacity to comprehend natural and spiritual structure, evolution, incarnation, enculturation, regneration, karma, metasystemic and/or ecotherapeutic ecojustice for Earth, including Her sapiens, but not justice just for bionically reiterating cognitive-information processing systems, transliterating QBit trend,, rhythm, and patterns with intuitively proportional, aesthetically and analogical-ecological Right-brained intuitive information, RNA/DNA-Codex memory nutrition, fuel, fertilizer, natural organic compost.

Polypathic genius sometimes feels alient to anthropocentric normative cultures, and even scientific paradigms that look at natural systems through an anthropocentric leans, or teleological assumption about why and who we are, as a species, as well as personally, in this time on this Earth. This comes through clearly in Fuller’s self-identification as “Plan B,” while his, and our species’ Plan A soul-identification and Earthskin soil eco-entity is something like EcoWe, essentially panentheistic, or trans-teleological, synergetically cooperating together at our best; competitively practicing ego-centric Win-Lose economies and long-term high risk un-ecological gamesMANship, at our Left-brain dominant worst.

Julian Jaynes’ work on the evolution of bicameral Left-Right hemispheric information, both neurally and RNA-Coded bionic confluent v. dissonant trend analysis, provides a captivating polypathic ethological theory that our more diversely shared “old” Right-intuitive Yin hemisphere was evolving its neural capacity to reiteratively discover confluence between Earth’s right-brain coded systemic frequencies and culturally-historically reinforced functions, and a left-brained ego-reflective reiterative, communicating, spiralling-fractal mirror, showing Right brain’s reverse-consciousness response to left-brain’s “Self” v “Other” experience of internal nature v EcoPowerSpirit. (Freud’s Superego?).

Our shared and ultimately cooperative transmillennial vocation appears to be to re-align, individually and collectively, as a sapiently comprehending species, ego-centrism with (0) sum EcoJustice through optimally sustainable Beloved Communities, which Permacultural Designers refer to as “Climax Communities.”
