Retiring v. Retreading Life

What I have for you today is not so much about re-treading an outdated fuel-based system–little bit like reshuffling the chairs to fix the decay of a segregated Country Club.

No, this is addressed to economic policy re-tirers. Keep the tire and the chairs, but let’s get the tread of our economy into a better therapeutic position.

Economic policy administrators are everybody, but some of us have more responsibility for larger populations and larger wealth deposits than oneself, and one’s household, and one’s own capacity to invest one’s own funds and future. Based on my own miserable failure in these areas, my best advise for public policy administrators is to do just the opposite of what I have done.

For example, do not invest your capital or equity in storage silos where your value will not have a chance to help fertilize local development–and it doesn’t get more local than a little Self Care, up to the point when Self Care becomes beyond what we can all do with and for others.  Because, for instance, that would be breaking the Golden Rule. “Do to others as to self” implies do not do with others–of any species, during any time, or era, or generation–what they have not done with you. And, this Golden Rule is economic gold standard. I am here to tell you that this (0)-Sum Cooperative Value Network is optimally balanced for inclusive prosperity and equity. Economic Zeroism derives from Buckminster Fuller’s fairly famous “Trimtab Conjecture.”

Fuller, unlike myself, applied the Prime Permacultural principle of achieving broadest, most inclusive, system regenerative-efficiency (including combining economic and evolution normative paradigms within a shared ecological (0)-wave self-regenerative “Torus” Theory of Regenerativity) by minimizing all forms of dissonance, cost, loss, dismay, and decay. So he invested in himself and in others by planting, as ubiquitously as possible, this Theory of Regenerativity, published throughout his lifetime work, writing, thought, and deed, after about age 33, messianically enough.

Fuller lived as a Unitarian–investing 100% in more than his fair share of Universal Intelligence. But, he wrote like a manic Taoist:

  • his fascination with fractal and dyadic relationships, especially between Yang/form and Yin/function,
  • between intuitive understanding’s predictive relationship to deductive knowledge accumulation,
  • and possibly even wisdom in their Prime Root pairing.

Fuller comprehended our Trim Tab optimized economic flow as deeply nutritious, resonant, resilient–with toxic backwash as our dissonant and competitive cultural  and corporate alternative.

Cash on hand is a Trimtab opportunity for risk, for learning, for adventure, for investing in our shared Universally Intelligent Abundance. Investing in mindful and grateful cooperation with colleagues (but not authorities or “experts”–these were blasphemy to his sense of intellectual integrity), people who intend a community that feels like home–nurturing, and caring, and cooperative, where adults play nice, and all the kids are graceful–and not so blind.

The relationship between humans and their places is the story line of historical-cultural development. This cultural teleological view of history might, post-Bucky, bear the label ectosymbiotic evolution, a “positive” evolutionary trend (think “Positive Psychology” and “progress”). Basically, regenerative theory is a torus-formative Hilbert Space, filled with a positive teleological conjecture about our reason for being as a species.

Combining Julian Jaynes’ endosymbiotic evolutionary theory of how the bicameral LeftDominant-RightIntuitive hemispheres developed the capacity for self-consciousness and awareness of “not-self” as Other, with Fuller’s binomial metric information development, and Gregori Perelman’s (et. al.) (0)-soul Universal Group Theorem, I find merit in the conjecture that:

Greatest, most equitably and peacefully inclusive, reason for investing in the hypothesis that we are all in Earth gratefully and mindfully together, defines,refines, and minimizes any cultural remnants to the contrary.

So, look around, fellow Bridge-Builders, economic developers, philanthropists for the future of everything, what seems to be thriving, growing, resilient, here for the long-term? Perhaps the urgency of our Transition Generation’s position becomes clear when we suddenly realize that human biosystems, as we know and love them, are an endangered species when we analyze the long-term trajectories.

A few minutes with the Tellus Institute, Boston (www.tellus.org), provides ample evidence of not only why the current trajectory endangers our grandchildrens’ survival odds, but, more positively, indicates some economic policy changes that would be helpful. For example, making the assumption that if the short-term economic gains are at the cost of moderate- and long-term ecological risk (like violations of (0)-carbon airborne production that is not at least matched with adding soil-based carbon) then just tell yourself no. To behave dis-carbon-balancing is a violation of the Golden Rule and a global sense of the Commons, also known as common sense.  So, philanthropists, where have you positioned your investment capital?  Is it working with your community’s and species’ optimally balancing interest investments, or not so much?

Thich Nhat Hanh says of Buddhism, “knowledge is regarded as an obstacle to understanding, like a block of ice that obstructs water from flowing…. water can flow, it can penetrate anything.” (pp. 48-9, Being Peace, 1987). Considering the possibility that any somewhat sane and mature adult knows enough to perform more sustainably, more optimally, more wisely, as we plan our economies and investments, what is it that we fail to understand? If our economic, ecological, and social pathologies are a misunderstanding of information already profoundly and democratically accessible, what is at the root of our anomalous cultural consciousness?

In essence, Julian Jaynes might say this is a lack of articulation or resolution between the Left and Right hemispheres. In his view, the ethological (purposive) function of Left hemispheric evolution is for natural intelligence to escape from solipsism, gaining the capacity for self-definition through comparing environmental sensory messages with an “aptic” [NOT Consciousness!!!!] precameral awareness. Sensory awareness of messages not emanating from within could be distinguished from within messages because of this binary information developing brain system. Symbols and language and culture and information became the string of history, originated in this evolution of a Species capable of regenerating form and function messages across interior and exterior message receivers, scanning for confluent win-win maps and metaphors, analogies and metric systems, logic and deductive research, poetry and music.

Our internal nutrients and economies flow with richest understanding when this balance is achieved between left and right, exterior and interior, ecological value and economic value, Universal Intelligence and Polanyi’s Personal Knowledge, cooperation and active hope of contributing, teaching, helping, mentoring, facilitating; between desire and gift, mindfulness and gratitude, justice and peace, Yang and Yin.

Again, from those who are penniless and deciding how best to invest in this gifted moment and day, to those responsible for the investment of millions and billions of capital assets, as well as deciding how best to invest in your own personal gifted moment, day, and the future generations of all species: listen to your Right hemisphere’s cooperative development and investment story. That audio-visual sensory receptor driven Left hemisphere’s deductive knowledge is incomplete, and blocked, when not balanced with absolute Yin-faith that actively cooperative investments in inclusive synergetic evolution is the way to keep on going. As it was, so must it be. As without, so within. As bicamerally within, so binary communication development system regeneration without. In Bucky’s Bridge-Building world, we are all synergetically interdependent verbs, and positrons.

Invest in cooperative vocations, residences, communities, strategies, research and learning plans. Avoid competitive, survival-limited teleological assumptions, conjectures, missions, and corporate structures. Create cultural and ecological and economic music and dancing in revolving circles with those investments; not marching in competitive, extractive, lose-lose squares.

Cultural and economic EcoTherapy derive from consciousness of the Laws of Thermodynamics, of course, but, the Prime Root Law of Thermodynamics is the Law of Eternal Moment Thermodynamic Balance; what goes out, must come back in, and out again, regenerating frequencies of oscillating formed information (P) and reverse-functional Yin (NP) exformation, reiteratively bowing to Torus- graced “Namaste.”

Dr. Stew’s Business Recipe

You probably heard Dr. Cook up on his P=np prophetic soapbox the other day, over in the Metaphysics Department. And, we don’t disagree except sometimes I think he does not appreciate the level of decompositional commitment it takes to make messianic manna.

While prophets tell others the positive teleological and ecological Tao string narrative, which truly does want to result in rationally balanced spacetime sustainable outcomes, messiahs are manna. Yes, sometimes also manic, but you have to be a little diastatically amped up to act as compost within our cooperative Commons, when so many have lost their way in producing ever more competition because their lack of self-sufficiency is so vast. Our  messianic vocations unfold within an unbalancing Earth, screeching dissonance to remind us of regenerative living, breathing, writing, story telling, music, movement, therapy, transliteration of paradigms and languages, socioeconomic orthopraxis, multisystemic ecopsychiatry, facilitating natural system development of optimizing synergy, compassionate mindfulness, love, active peace.

Messiahs comprehend interdependent functions that prophets only know as sequential forms. Messiahs mutually mentor while prophets try to teach and preach. Messiahs are nature’s decomposing understory, root system, pursuing polyculturally inclusive compost, development, and design, living vocationally self-expressive dreams to re-occupy Earth’s cooperative Universal Synergetic Intelligence.

If we could just get our numerology straightened around. Everybody knows that 1 times 1 is 2, not 1, just as 2 times 2 is 4, not 2. It takes at least 2 to multiply, both subject and object, both icon and thinker. Multiplication unfolds in spacetime with 1 as the rational square root of 2 and balanced +/(-)(-)0 as the 4-dimensional prime square-fractal root of 1. Doubling the unity of 1, speaking geometrically, is coincidentally comprehending both the convex exterior and the concave interior of numeral units. Taoists understand the convex face of iconic systems as YangForm, and the concave interior face as Yin binomial elliptical function. Euler understood this prime one-dimensional business function as the primal relationship of metric systems. Buckminster Fuller built on this Eulerian foundation, comprehending this as a hypothetical candidate for the prime relationship of universal Intelligence and all of nature’s regenerative systems.

This essential binomiality of 1 also adds ecological and economic layers of teleology to Zeroism, because 2 is to 1, as 1 is to +/-0. This becomes a numeral language for the permacultural Golden Rule: Treat each convex face (supereco-other) as balancing your ego-concave (id-entity) face, or things are going to get really competitive and dissonant and out of alignment, creating all kinds of karmic incarnational issues that we really don’t need right now.

As without, so within. As above, so below. As before, so after.

The physical binomiality of metaphysical unity can remind us that death bookends life just as night bookends day. Every natural system regeneratively gardens through decomposing self/other-absorption. So, why would we expect the unity of human natural life to revolve across time in some negatively deviant and dissonant way?

Dr. Cook’s Metric Stew

Here’s the thing. You probably heard something else over in the Business School, but then they are always about busyness, and seldom really about the issues of optimizing long-term sustainable prophets and profits. It’s my time to prophecy.

Way back in the TransMillennial Era, the ReGenesis Cooperative Fund woke up one morning after some kind of epiphanic multisystemic eclipse to a renewed dream of cooperative economics and polycultural sustained-justice, also first recognized as active peace back in those dark days of  epidemic cognitive dissonance, coincidental autism and cognitive delusional dysfunction.  Well, not that they had any monopoly on those issues, but the great forces of cultural synergetics and corporate lose-lose entropics were vying with each other for the collective economic and ecological imagination of our Tree of Life’s DNA-encoded branch of our RNA-encoded trunk, fed by natural systemic fractal-forms and their metaphysical crystal functions, if you will, or won’t, for that matter, now that I come to think of it, which was what, I wonder?

Anyway, the ReGenesis Cooperative Network began to function as a self-financed Group Purchasing Organization. Then, the ReGenesis GPO declared a closed-market discount of 20% for local eco-lateral transactions, with all sides of each transaction guild using ReGenesis on-line EcoShares.

Then, as they grew locally toward other local EcoShare networks within our region, the Fund announced a 10% discount for exterior bordering EcoShare regional transactions.

Then a 5% discount for all other cooperative networks throughout Earth.

ReGenesis argued with the State tax authorities that EcoShare transactions within the GPO umbrella  should be sales taxed only when exchanged within the open federal currency market, so when the folks from the food coop used on-line EcoShare assets in exchange for foot massages, no sales tax, and a 20% discount if both providers were in the same local GPO.

Also, because all members were mutually self-employed income tax entities, their cooperative tax liability could not be more than each individual employee was paying or this would represent double taxation. Then GPO Network enterprises paid no corporate taxes, because there kind of wasn’t any such thing as a non-interdependent corporate profit and loss situation any more, except in what was left of the dwindling monocultural and monopolistic competitive commodity market, where life and time continues to be for sale and rent, for awhile.

The Tax Bureaucrats got a little huffy for awhile about the whole thing until the ReGenesis Cooperative GPO wrote their own mission statement. The ReGenesis GPO’s primal regenerative mission is to mutually redeem cooperative asset EcoShares through direct local barter exchanges in which the dignity and value of each individual’s hourly time investment is assumed to have equivalent per-hour value. That made too much obvious sense to credibly argue against.

Each transaction was recorded in the on-line cooperative economic network system, binary RNA designed to meet optimized polycultural algorhythmically harmonious equivalence standards: [+Polynomial = (-)(-)Not Polynomial] = [+1QBit = (-)(0)QByte].

Zero-Byte balanced binomial-fractal prime spacetime, as economically paradigmed and polylogical.

Oops, I mean polycultural, you know, like what eternal-culturalists are endlessly metaphysicating and metasystematically therapizing, or maybe not so much. Because, meanwhile, psychology had ended the Industrial Era by initially staring at negatively anomalous right hemispheric id-entity behaviors, memories, issues, rationality problems. Perhaps the post-millennial Positive Psychology had to overcome this initial pathology fascination to become a more integrated theoretical field and more congenial to analogues with Eastern alchemical and fractal natural systems analysis, confluent with Taoism’s dipolar binomial pattern, rhythm, and metric value assumptions; with

ego as eco-logical awareness of confluence

superego as yin super-eco.

 

But, I don’t know, therapy as mutual mentoring fell by the wayside, replaced with chemical therapies. Adding chemicals to interior landscapes has polymorphic evolutionary effects, coincidental, within our Exterior Landscapes. Who we are as a species, living as diverse polyculturaling and chemically-fueled monoculturing economies and ecologies, emerges as a global understanding that we are all incarnating within physical Earth’s solar gift system’s

One early spring morning everyone woke up thinking they just might on occasion actually be a diastatically enculturing polyculturative kinda internal Climax Community, and they began mentoring each other about what that meant for them.

Enjoy the ride, and avoid feeling special because catastrophic paranoia is contagious. It’s peculiar, we speak of love as our highest value but what we most love is peaceful justice as our daily incarnate belonging habitat, both within our metaphysical eco-landscape and our physical-logistic metasystemic EcoTherapy.

Perhaps it might be more permaculturally accurate, and balanced, more harmonically synergetic, more crystal-fractal Commons-Clear, when our primal vocation issues forth transgenerationally, transgenetically, and transgenerically across all paradigms and id-entities, all systems and life, all space and time, all Yang with Yin, to regenerate our mutual EcoTherapy as optimally health-enculturing as we have power and imagination to swim and fly belonging in solidarity rather than wilt mono-longing entropically apart.

Legend of Prince Polyculture

There once was a boy named Prince Polyculture,

which he knew he was not,

and maybe even not-not,

which would be not a prince,

not.

 

This was confusing and caused Prince Polyculture to suffer bouts of stress and anxiety and eating and,

eventually, sanity, disorders.

 

So he decided if he could not peacefully become Prince Polyculture,

that must be because he is incarnating Mindless Monoculture.

In this spirit of adventure and dark humor he invested much too heavily in the only role open to him at Court,

that of the Court’s Redeemer Fool.

In the Land of Polyculture, you see,

Foolish karma regenerates laughter,

and it was their faith that humor is teleologically profound,

even revolutionarily and radically important.

 

Confusion rained down upon the Land of Polyculture.

Shall we bow to him as Prince,

or laugh at him as Fool?

And, when they asked him this,

In what ways have nutritional

Where exactly?

For whom and for not whom?

 

How, when, and where have we reduced and increased

both short-term and long-term economic

ecological risk?

Why do you think so,

Do you use as evidence your own lungs

and heart,

eyes and ears and feelings?

And perhaps those of your family and friends,

your local community?

How about your country of origin?

What about as a humane race

to rejoin Earth’s Climax Global Tribe?

We each sacrifice chronic lives and critical moments,

engaged against those we must become engaged with,

with where we all came from,

It started when I turned 8.

My eighth year, that is. But that was 55 years and 4 current teenagers ago.

During all these years, my life-theme question has been, “How can I help?”

The first answer I received from my enculturation process,

but, I have come to believe,

coincidentally received from noticing our natural systemic environment,

as both our ongoing search for the Golden Fleece

and our ongoing research into what are the optimized dimensions

and dynamics

for following the tao of our transcultural thesis,

the Golden Rule of Prime Relationship,

do unto others

as you would have them

do unto you,

or

treat others the way you would be grateful to be treated,

because we’re all in our mess together.

 

So, my Golden Fleece pilgrimage has been about cooperative research

into what could we optimally become if we fully understood its universal wisdom?

Which led to my second, or antithesis, question,

in this dialectic therapeutic quest,

How do I want to be treated?

And who am I that is not Other?

And why do I feel so sure about that?

 

More recently I realized that some of these questions become more secondary

and perhaps not entirely well advised,

and, well, also sort of self-referencing

if we assume that P=NP

and that global, perhaps universal

electromagnetic and thermodynamic balance

within four equivalent dimensions of spacetime

forms our right-elder brained memory function,

as explicated, incarnated,

in implicate-ordered RNA regenerative information

systemic and organic

and permacultural structure.

 

Our interdependently networking Earth’s

Yang balancing Yin harmonies

have not stopped singing,

and ecologically economizing,

since.

 

And yet, my thesis question remains:

How can we help each other,

in the integrity of each moment’s eternally incarnating

positive potential?

Sometimes the best policy is to stay out of each others’ way,

but usually active peace calls us toward mutually mentoring

our ways of becoming

EarthTribe eco-identified.

What to do,

to totalitarian tyranny in someone else’s home

to monocultural stimuli advancing in your own heart,

across your backyard?

When death stalks you,

declares you alien to life’s current probabilities

of rationally redeeming praxis,

when your friends recognize your karma

arcing from past memories

inviting evolution’s highly personal fragile future?

 

What do you do when you fear

your ego and relationships of love,

and sometimes even faint suggestion of domestic peace,

may realistically be at an unwelcome end?

 

I tend to ask myself,

then those around me,

profoundly wise questions:

Have I done something to tick you off?

Why this tyranny,

where is the winning function of decay,

mayhem, mercenary merciless mob

thuggish behavior?

 

Who is winning what in this long-hot summer

of monopolistic habits, norms,

assumptions of egocentric,

rather than ecologic,

zero-sum lose-lose strategies

and principles of economics?

Who designed such chaos?

 

And, my answer always echoes

resoundingly back across our Eternal Transitional Moment,

“no one,

this is a fool’s game we witness.”

 

So, whether this totalitarian monocultural weedpatch

of a socioeconomic culture is your own

or your neighbor’s

or your larger DNA/RNA-rooted and regenerative cousins

trees

seas

stardust Elders,

if you know them as interdependent relationships

within EcoTherapeutic Praxis

we mentor with, by, and for each Other,

continue to water your cooperative flowers

and ignore that violent weedish autocrat

suffering from too much yang,

too little yin flexibility and graceful mind

and inclusively grateful breath.

 

If you can’t win them back,

join them in laughter at ourselves

for being such an autistically exclusive species,

distracted by our own solar spots and days gone solo,

we forget we’re all in our mess together,

whether we aim ballistics at eco-systemic hearts,

and wallets, and purses,

and values,

or not.

 

When my teenagers cannot believe they need not fear me,

because my actions tell them otherwise,

according to their diverse abilities,

they laugh with me.

This laughter always surprises

I cannot retain my fear and anger,

but maybe a little suffering,

and my daughter shuns me,

and my older sons ask me what is my problem?

 

It helps when they remember to ask with kindness

and patience with my pain and fear

and cherished suffering.

 

So, why not a simple email from one head of state,

tribe,

community,

household,

to Other:

I can see you are suffering catastrophic loss

of wealth and happiness,

your nutrients are leaking,

your polycultures fade

and your monocultural trend is sharply rising,

how can we help?

 

Sometimes I’m in no mood to talk.

I want to hang on to my suffering,

to fully harvest its positive lessons.

Sometimes I’m in a mood

to not tolerate shunning

from Ms. Oppositional Daughter,

but my son who cannot speak,

understands no language beyond rhythm and resonance,

language as music in personal keys and chords,

when he laughs at my vast righteousness,

I melt and wilt

to join his polycultural revolution

of atmosphere

attention

primal assumption of mutual gratitude,

we will always laugh together

as we have throughout our incarnations.

Tao of SolarSystemic Maintenance

Information caused culture,

some might say cussed culture,

but, whether damned or graced,

culture, or vulture,

languaged-left hemispheric information after

right-brained information

self-regenerated human culture.

 

Human culture preceded human race

and races

and racism

and socioeconomic boxes

and hierarchical trees were upside down

and leaders listened before they judged,

respected our mutual subsidiarity

before they prophecied permacultured futures

and advocated cooperative gift economies,

free-market abundant transactions

of equivalent and profoundly inclusive nutrient values,

reserving competition and anger and fear

for moments of egocentric

corporately commodified weakness.

 

Or maybe there was no such time,

no such moment,

no such life, or culture,

but global hope for this Golden Fleece

was languaged fairly early on

in Golden Rule to treat all life

from here to there

from back then to far ahead

as forming one global polyculture,

of which we are each and all

an interdependent holonic part,

reflecting and reiterating natural systemic

fractals of RNA, then DNA informating strings

of horny codes.

Gift each WeSelf Other well,

with gratitude and compassion,

simplicity and integrity,

sufficiency and balance,

regenerative bows and embrace,

waves and intricate hand gestures,

peace pipes and cooperative barn-raisings,

home raisings,

children raisings,

grace raisings,

life raisings.

 

Information created positive and negative energy,

then communication.

Communication begat language

and language begat culture

and culture begat community

and confusion and suffering,

as suffering begat awareness of evolution

as karmic incarnation,

cause and effect,

stimulus and response,

Yang and Yin,

out and in coincidentally polymorphic,

really trying to get along

on shared pilgrimage to permacultured

Climax Community.

 

Wise permaculture stretches through time’s

great double-bound negative divide,

transitioning forward through encultured icons

and backward beyond eternal information system’s

current lack of diastatic optimization,

racing toward entropic radiant harmonics

across a field of paradigms and language,

remembering

reconnecting

regenerating

eternal prime ecologic principle

of Tao’s economic balance.

 

Culture and language follow information

as function precedes form

as balanced love and synergy precede peace and justice,

as Yin reverse balances Yang

in this positive OVER double-negative

encultured way of measuring and calculating,

economizing and ecologizing,

trimming tipping tabs pointing light’s promise.

 

Longing for light
