The Good Society

Is there a doctor in the house?

A cryptic message from the uniting nations, looking for yet another credentialed ecotherapist to surgically remove all our economic and political issues. Those remaining after overdosing on pharmaceuticals as media marketed through normal incorporated competitions for egocentric profit channels and parties and outlets fed by oil-fired over-heating ballistic powers.

Unfortunately, this local ecotherapeutic facilitator and mentor guild is out of rabid pathologists. They are all currently mad with medicines of and for climate illnesses, building sand bag towers across drowning coastal cities the oceans are reclaiming as their own, in their perennial rage against the continents of usurpation. Predators, with power-over monocultural intent, this tidal tug of war between productive lands and consuming seas.

But doctors are best for reacting to already raging and suffered madness, badness, while our ecotherapeutic nurses are nurturing specialists, responsible for co-mentoring regenerative public health, supporting cooperative natural healing laws and organic orders, composting richer climates within dysfunctional families as post-graduate clinical trials before they take on facilitating public-sector governing, multicultural garden uncovering, helpful-healthy community beloving our uniting nations’ polypathically extending families.

Autumn’s Failing Consciousness

New England’s post election trees
shed a few teary waving leaves.
Morning sky tries to shine resilience
yet lingers in ominous grey overcast
of silent waiting through despair.

In Michigan and Wisconsin and Pennsylvania
tens of thousands of mothers
who cherish their daughters
are beating themselves up about yesterday;
longing for a do-over
to avoid confidence in false predictions
of safely voting their libertarian ecoconsciousness,
or too quietly staying home
to rake falling fertile leaves.

Failing leaves feel their personal mortality,
too old, over-extended, to survive another bitter winter
of ex-patriation
while maternal nurturing root systems survive through hibernation,
deeply embedding in Earth’s nutritional compost
of yeasty faith,
waiting for another Advent ecopolitical Season.

Not a branch,
not even a twig stirs from frosty lethargy
wondering Why?
Why would we decide slavery must be illegal
because immoral
yet sexual and capital and incorporated predation
remains legally and morally ambiguous,
as if wealth of male supremacist nobility
were God’s full harvest of regenerative moral gifts,
excusing by betraying grace
this fortunate entitlement

Healthy Politics, and Sex, and Religion

I hope I know what is healthy sex,
in an experiential kind of way,
in a biblical kind of way,
and I can imagine a world with healthier,
more cooperative, political empowerment,
but I am clueless about healthy religion,
which most of my friends would claim is an oxymoron,
like military intelligence.

Well, I think it’s easier to have any one of these,
if you already have the other two.

So, if I am feeling warmly resonant with my good vibe
positive political psychology
of ecologically cooperative relationships,
including those that are sexual,
which,
now that I think about it
I’m not really sure what a sexless human relationship would be.
Maybe ambivalently androgynous,
but isn’t that somehow the same thing as saying transgenderal,
and somehow that doesn’t seem sexless at all.
Anyway,
what does all that have to do with healthy v pathological religion?

What makes sex and political relationships regenerative,
and sometimes, unfortunately, degenerative,
is also what makes religions syncretically regenerative
across all Earth’s more celebratory ecosystems,
Creation Stories,
both Left-scientific languaged
and Right-artistic mythic,
divine as regenerative sacred inspiration
breathing through each moment and day
and night and death’s last eternal expiration.

Breath memories are sequential
but also consequential,
and cumulative empathically entrusting remembering
reweaving
religioning healthy politics
of Earth’s sexy sacred cooperative ecological economics.

You seem to see politics as the religious business of empowerment.

And disempowerment.

A Few Years Back and Flowing Forth

A few years back,
in the prior millennium,
1993 to be more precise
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
born without a stage name
had his book entitled “The Evolving Self” published,
by which he meant The ReGeneratively Nutritious Flowing Self,
but he was probably shy of too-long, user-unfriendly, titles,
so we have this more evolutionary psychology
which is also about economic and politically cooperative investment
as recommended by mental health professionals,
not that they necessarily are all that ecopolitically correct themselves
when it comes to public health priorities,
but health science trends have been favoring ecologically helpful,
rather than condemning to starvation and thirst and chemical poisoning, medicine
for challenged landscapes and climates for awhile now.
Couldn’t say exactly,
but, you know,
a few years back.

So University of Chicago Psychologist Dr. Csikszentmihalyi,
as, presumably, many other health advocates,
worrying about all Earth’s many pathologies,

that the shape of the future

CEO: Well, the Taoist word for comfortable is contentment,

seem to define as absence of suffering,

Contentment is our psychically positive-balanced

co-arising lovely diversely healthy subclimates,
our promise and endowment
for future regenerations.

The chronic anxieties of lesser idols
speak through cognitive-affective dissonance,
unfolding a too-worn path toward competitive WinLose suboptimal choices
and collective paranoid condemnation
of ourselves
of others
of our future potential
of our Elders
of Earth and Her blighting Sun.

By evolutionary experiential contrast,
synchronic nondual regenerativity,
harmonic symphonies of epic heroic becoming together,
are our co-arising opportunities to reweave degenerative anxieties
into regenerative integrity,
sacred universal unity.

The opposite of vengeance and condemnation
are divine wonder and awe.
These are our affective choice,

Pathologies within our landscapes,

mosquitoes and biting flies,
deadly tornado and sunami,
are to be respected teachers,
revered for their powerful toxicity,
yet not to co-arise our own autonomic immunity
from exceptions to Earth’s more benign Golden Rule

It seems easier to comprehend Yang as politically empowering resonance
in harmony with Yin’s abundant economic flow of nutrients,
health,
regenerative potential,
when we step inside Eastern philosophy’s nondual assumption
that natural and spiritual nurture and pathology
interdependently co-arise
from Empty timeless eternal bilaterality
of past with future time,
NOW co-present.

From within this ecopolitical nonduality
it is easier to remember I cannot help a child,
much less a maturing adult,
become a happy healthy helpful old wise person
by way of tough love condemnation.

We simply are not therapeutically enriched
through passing along condemning affective and cognitive pathologies,
generation through generation.

Healthy climates do not derive sufficient co-redemptive freedom to sustain
except when free of freezing hellfire’s dark pathologies,
suboptimizing idolatries.

Wellness incarnate young people
cannot remain
after years of chronic pathological messages:

RePlanting Times and Spaces

Moving into a new home
with anonymous neighbors,
whom you typically have not even met
before deciding where you will replant yourself,
and perhaps also your significant others,
sometimes including multiple generations,
and pets and plants,
all takes place before you have met
your new potentially significant neighbors.

In this respect,
moving within today’s urbanized BusinessAsUsual housing markets
is more like an arranged contractual marriage
than discovering that one great love of place and persons,
potential future homestead,
healthy and abundantly therapeutic for all your future generations,
if any of this should occur in your lifetime.

Arranged marriages were also primarily contractual relationships
between families or tribes.
The evidence is unclear that they were, or are, any more
or less
successful in the health and happiness ever after ecopolitical department
than those more complexly hormonal choices of erotic love
and mutual sensory pleasure;
over the full duration of a mutually therapeutic-intended lifetime.

This absence of therapeutically significant difference
is itself remarkable, perhaps significant to recreating healthier climates and landscapes.
Shared residence, shared household arrangements,
is largely about economic and political synergy, integrity,
maturing into mutual acclimation
within primal organic relationships,
families sometimes extending right out into cooperatively healthy neighborhoods

to not allow ourselves to go to bed

I am not sure how we move away from BusinessAsUsual real estate decisions,
toward more ecotherapeutically intentional neighborhoods
that are also about home and family and cooperative health opportunities,
minimizing risks of further climate pathology.
Especially younger adults seem more permaculturally inclined
toward nutritional challenges of/for healthier and happier,
more cooperatively prosperous global-through-local network acclimation.

But, it does occur to me that,
once having replanted ourselves and all our fellow householders,
we might begin with listening and learning about our new neighbors as ourselves.
Which nutritional dreams we share toward cooperative ownership
of our lives together,
and which pathological nightmares we could avoid,

more age-appropriate for toddlers than adolescents and adults.

would probably increase economic and political values
of living in this pre-arranged neighborhood
within the near-nutritional future,
and enhance values for future new neighbors to replant
in these more fertile inviting soils.

is inherently, nondually implicately,

and not so much sinking through too much suffering isolation.
