Grace and Pathology

I hope it would not be a parody of Michael Morrell’s political scientific position
to suggest all relationships are political
and all political relationships fall somewhere on a spectrum
between perfect co-empathic trust,
nutritionally and regeneratively favored by creolizing democracy,
and completely mutual distrust, antipathy,
a rabidly nihilistic strain
of totalitarian ballistic terrorism.

Should this spectrum amply describe tensions between democratic multiculturing trust
and plutocratically elitist monoculturing mistrust
then perhaps we can also see this spectral tension
between positive-regenerate social-psychology
and negative-degenerating entropic nihilism;
between cooperativity of Both/And empathic feeling and faith
and competing Either/Or antipathy
hardened reductively negative belief systems
with absence of good and healthy faith.

We might further stretch this same relational spectrum
to include hope and faith and love
as growing stages of healthy positive psychology,
so despair, and selfish faithlessness,
and raging sociopathic hatred
are parallel emerging stages
of pathologically negative anthropocentric
and egocentric
ecopolitics.

Within this wide egocentric Yang and eco-centric Yin spectrum
we learn and grow and develop our positive and negative psychology,
our health and our pathology,
as regenerative trends and our degenerative decompositional losses
into mutual immunity silos of autonomous self and other hatred;
historically characteristic of densely swarming over-populations,
beyond what Earth can ecosystemically hold and feed and enrich.

In this light and dark nondual co-arising view,
I read Dale B Martin’s understanding of how he can both be a person of Christian faith
and a student of religious and theological dark histories.

“It may well be that I have [positive psychology] faith
just because I was raised that way.
Having grown up in a religious [regenerative-normed] family,
itself the [bilateral-maternal and paternal] product of generations
of Christian people,
I may be psychologically inclined
or [co-empathic trust] habituated
to assume some ultimate [balancing] meaningfulness
of the [yang-yin nondual] universe
and the [healthy] centrality of [ecopolitical] faith for life
[rather than nihilistic despair].”

“Moreover,
my family
though attending a very conservative [homophobic] church,
was generally liberal and [inclusively] progressive.
We weren’t particularly bothered if others did not go to church
or went to a different church
[or adhered to a different positive faith system].”

Professor Martin is a brilliant “out” gay white Texas-reared male
now tenured at Yale.
Because of his family’s progressive co-empathic trust,
his parents quickly acclimated their love,
with a heterosexual-norm presumption,
to love for their gay son,
just another creative stretch of their inclusive and always yet-emerging
positive health psychology.

The primary difference between Dale Martin’s Texas experience
and my own rural Michigan experience,
was my absence of a liberal/progressive parental support system
restraining and creolizing the pathological hubris of elitist-supremacist
“from above” messianic grace
rather than “from deep within” co-empathically trusting grace
and karma.

With that difference,
Dale Martin’s positive Christian psychology has been continuous
throughout his still emerging family tree extension
to include the treasures of other regenerative traditions,
while my own journey has been more discontinuous and disjointed,
stressed and stretching
to ultimately arrive at peace with eco-messianic trust
in regenerative MotherEarth,
compatible with co-redemptive messianism,
in a lavishly creolizing composting transubstantiatingly inclusive way,
fractured and reset
rather than organically whole over my lifetime of Christian rediscovery,
as is the more continuously regenerative faith system
of Professor Martin’s still-emerging grace story.

Watching Washington isms

There is a world of difference
between schism and jism,
but they both end up the same.

Just as patriarchal Roman Catholicism
overpowers living and breathing Christianity,
so too does Capitalism
overpower cooperative capital co-investment,
so too does autocratic rationalism
overpower syncretic enculturing con-scientivity,
so too does stale exegetical Traditionalism
corrupt fresh noticing hope
for co-redemptive learning-teaching cooperativity.

We might imagine
our Original Democratic Constitutional Intent
in developing swampy soils
now reincarnated as Washington, D.C.
was to reconstruct what Martin Luther King, Jr.
saw as a staircase rooted in Eden
before The Great Dualistic Competitive Fall
emerging upward and outward
toward a contemporary multiculturally bountiful
Beloved Community.

Washington seems to have fallen short,
perhaps toxically beheaded by civil wars
about civil rights,
collective anger management
where Beloved Eden Community hope
notices prospects for faith
within regenerative love optimization,
civil resonance maturing responsive rights
toward still emerging cooperative economic and political co-owned
authorities of Earth
and Her bountifully democratic multiculturing nation-states.

David Holmgren
encourages us,
Republicans and Democrats,
Libertarians and Climate-Healthy Greens,
to notice freedom’s Beloved Community potential
increasingly constrained by “adverse effects of over-consumption
and over-development”.
And combining thoughts of Julian Jaynes
and Edward De Bono
and Buckminster Fuller,
and countless others,
we add further generic cautions
concerning over-LeftBrain Either/Or competitive disculturation
through monopolistically deductive-reductive Win/Lose
evolutionary/devolutionary dualistic dominance.

Washington’s ecopolitical swampland
sinks through too-competitively investing
in war mongering rather than peace management,
in pathology remediation rather than proactive health care,
in pollution control rather than regenerative democratic co-ownership
of toxic waste and nutritional health streams,
in crime control rather than cooperative co-redemptive co-investment,
in anti-ecological anthrocentric enculturation
rather than regenerative mutual mentoring
education as if multiculturing loves and deaths matter,
in litigation rather than mindful integration
of ego-norms with cooperative economics,
in suboptimizing disservices and dissonance
rather than optimizing health and nutrition consilient services.

Taoism, like Islamic Judeo-Christianity,
and unlike supremacist Chosen Patriarch Catholicism,
and like PermaCulture Design,
is bicamerally nondual rooted
in LeftBrain faith,
as co-empathic ecopolitical trust,
and in ElderMatriarchal RightBrain hope,
which PermaCulture Designers evolve toward Beloved Community PolyCulturing Promise
with simple, contenting, positive bilateral noticing,
nurturing trust in healthy belief
as contrasted against a more Washingtonian negative nihilism.

For the Taoist ecopolitical designer,
as for the Abraham through Mohammed social cooperativist,
faith is co-empathic ecopolitical trust.
What Buddhists notice as Basic Original Intent.
Yet, because of mindbody nondualism,
disembodied faith, not Beloved Community incarnate,
is a dream,
maya.
Faith intrinsically requires positive cooperative action,
co-investment,
co-redemptive eco-messianic co-mentoring.

To have faith in our capacity
to grow Beloved Communities
is to trust in co-redemption,
co-messianic, if you Western prefer,
as one’s nondual egoLeft/ecoRight regenerative becoming.

To grow Beloved Community faith
is to foster cooperatively emergent trust.
To ecopolitically entrust representatives
is fertile-rooted in finding those with cooperative co-mentoring,
co-piloting responsibility/authority ownership optimization skills
and focus of self-with-other bicameral balance,
ego-as-also-eco love optimization,
not monoculturing anger control,
tolerating mutually competitive immunities,
not cultivating further active distrust
rooted in reductive
dualistic absence
of co-redemptive trust.

[toward Beloved Community].”
says Martin Luther King, Jr.
To which bilateral Yang-Yin nondual Taoists
of cooperative Left deductive belief
emerging from Right inductive trust
respond with a contenting “Amen”,
AND cooperative ecopolitical faith
noticing regenerative hope of Earth’s nature-spirit
blossoms along each and all faith co-redeeming steps
producing and consuming balance,
healthy active cooperativist democracies of co-empathic trust,
Beloved Communities of joy and peace,
love as and of and for contentment
within sufficiency
necessarily conjoining
this shared MotherEarth’s regenerate Beloved Communities,
even in benighted Districts
of Overly-Competitive Columbia.

There is a world of differences
but these all pedagogically end up
the eco-logosism same.

History of Mean Economists 404

This course will encourage aspiring cooperative economists
to distinguish between mean national incomes
and global median incomes,
with diverse long-term capital growth/evaporation trends
expected.

First,
imagine USA mean income, including investment income,
could approach $500,000 for two-parent working households
per year.

Are you kidding me?
Where do you come up with those numbers?
And that many full-time working two-parent households?

Out of my mean Republican National Party imagination.
If you imagine
as many households with earned and investment income
of $1,000,000 per year
as there are destitute households
with $0 earned/investment income,
and the remainder of us lie
evenly along straight
or even bell-curved symmetrical lines
between $0 and $1,000,000,
then USA mean annual household income
could be imagined as $500,000 per two-parent household.

Well, maybe…OK,
for the sake of this thought experiment.
So what does that have to do with the price of carrots?

Cost of living,
with or without carrots,
is more of a Democratic National Party issue
where we turn to how trickle down capital acquisition and flow patterns,
including reinvesting and relocating in cheaper labor-saving areas,
are more depressingly influenced by median income,
as compared to this more mean-spirited average US two-parent income.

In other words,
when Republicans imagine which economic policies
are within their realm of self interest,
they imagine themselves at least average,
or above, even better,
so when candidates promise lower taxes
and deregulating fees
for business and farm and patriotic industries
of all good two-heterosexual parent families,
Republican voters imagine such candidates
speak also of and for them
because they see their incoming as at least potentially
within responsible sight of this average earned
and investment returned
income,
and preferably above all those unwashed immigrant indigent others.

But,
the Democratic National Party,
in its most globally liberating green best center,
speaks not of mean economic incomes,
but of the growing and depressing distance
between average national income
and shrinking median global income.

Median.
That’s the most popular number, right?
Like if more households bring in $30,000 per year,
than $29,000 or below
or $31,000 or above,
on a scale from $0 to increasingly astronomical,
then the median would remain $30,000.
But, the average could be lower or higher,
depending on whether there are greater positive deviations from the median
or more totally disintegrating deviations
down toward zero-sum,
you lose everything,
go directly to jail,
do not even think about passing through Go again.

Yes.
So if you are a median democratic global economist
you are noticing
as the number of billionaires goes up,
the gap between average income and median income grows
in an alarmingly unhealthy direction,
the opposite of erection,
or even self-with-other regeneration.

If this growing great transitional divide
between our really big winners
and our truly transient and hopelessly non-transcendent
is trending in this politically depressing uneven direction,
why is that?

Because competition-rooted WinLose zero-sum Capitalism
follows successful acquisition of capital
to breed further disproportionate acquisition of capital.
Cooperative-owned and self-matriculating WinWin
trickle down and out
to equilaterally trickle up and in
to re-trickle down and out
requires a bilateral WinWin
self and other regenerative equivalent balance co-intention
more typical of a matriarchal mentoring nutritional cooperative network
than a patriarchal mean economist
wanna-be an effective open market
mutually free to monoculturally overpower the hapless competition
player.

Well I was taught
if you don’t want to share your toys
you should never have brought them into the sandbox.

That sounds like global median ecopolitical enculturation.
I was taught
if somebody tries to borrow your toys,
hit back.
More of a sandbox bully anti-culturation.

Imagine how this capitalist sandbox must look
to a hungry and thirsty adolescent survivor
living in one of Earth’s growing ecopolitical deserts,
watching further climate pathologies
unfold across hopeless skies
and swelling tsunamic oceans.

I thought this was Mean Economics 404.

Yes, but it sounds more hopeful
as Cooperative Median Economics 101.

Neglecting Top and Bottom Lines

I worry we co-invest in big private and public corporate assault
on Earth,
on environmentalism,
on longer-term ecologic.

Really, honey?
That’s too bad.
Why not also see long-term assault
as the unintended outcome of short-term neglect
of cooperative care-giving,
healthy nurturing behavior,
Golden Rule economic and ecological behavior,
like we learned in Sunday School?

Well, yes, I guess I can see that.
And yet, responsibility for neglect
is not the accountability for injustice I seek
for assault on climate health,
landscapes of regenerative, rather than degenerative, potential,
resonant slow-growth multicultural fertility,
organic resilience,
full color octaves of strong-hued eloquence,
resonance for future Earth reweaving regenerators.

I wonder if it helps
to remember that assault derives from learned fear-mongering critical-event behavior,
while neglect speaks to more chronic ecosystems of over-investment
in short-term corporate ego-inflation,
rather than short-thru-long-term ego-eco bicameral economic regenerative balance?

WinWin regenerativity is big corporate’s WinLose assault for survival target.

I think you give them too much evil conspiracy credit
and not enough human neglect of ecological long-term mindfulness credit.
When positive growth trends
are measured only in producing accumulation of wealth
for investors, both taxpayers and shareholders,
without any thought to quantities of resources consumed
in exchange for this investment,
then this further feeds short-term neglect of long-term investment in care-giving and receiving
and cooperative co-arising long-term mindfulness.

You are reminding me
of all the corporations I have ever known
with 4-generation Mission Statements
about their corporate Original Intent,
yet, at best, 4-quarter profit-making projections,
positive outcome budgetary wish lists.

And then, too,
we have the 4-generation campaign promises
derived from public corporation officials’ ReGenerative Constitutional Intent,
yet, at best, a 6-year re-election cycle,
and more likely 4-year,
or even just 2.

Yes, we do seem to have a degenerative tension
between the post-revolutionary Constitution’s Original Intent
to keep this democratizing revolution going,
for cooperating with the healthy wealth of Earth
and our nation-state neighbors,
as diplomatically and economically possible,
and within our own multiculturing liberties and justices,
mercies and re-acclimating
redefinitions of peace as restraining tolerance
for those terrorizing differences we could never nutritionally celebrate,
tearing families from their homes,
children from their terrorizing/terrorized parents,
young adults from their malnourished
self-medicating
Business As Competitively Usual
neighborhood environments.

Democratizing intended Constitutions
speak of co-arising health-wealth,
where one could not become,
much less sustain,
without the other;
where co-investment in politics of democratic growth,
maturation,
mutual acclimation,
creolization of Elite with NonElite enculturation,
are drawn within the loops and pointing dots
of periods and episodic commas
and objectives for Earth’s co-arising health
and fertile wealthy prosperity,
as rich iconic compost
and cooperative economic climates,
regenerate healthy political landscapes
less likely to neglect ecological values
when drawing economic corporate wisdom’s co-operative
co-gravitating original and bottom lines.

Internal conversions of consciousness,
like external revolutions in cultural awareness,
emerge from understanding Ego’s embodied death as unmitigated 100% loss
and too often suffering and pain,
toward comprehending mindbody death of Self
as also re-investment opportunity
in timeless co-present Self/Other co-arising regenerative gift.

This potential for gifting each generation of WinWin-cooperative/often-competitive WinLose,
yet overall regenerative creolization forward
across multi-enculturing time,
is difference that makes a cooperatively meaningful difference
between a LeftBrain monopoly of EitherLeft/OrRight ecopolitical ontology
and co-arising Left-Right ecosystemic balancing phylogeny
of WinWin matriarchal-embryonic-nurturing history,
evolutionary democratization
creolizing our co-nurturing empowerment
further toward both internal/external revolutions of ego/eco-conscious regenerative trends,
over degenerative 100% losses and ego-suffering and ecological dissonant pain.

This came to mind
as I have gradually, perhaps too relentlessly, become aware
that most of my family and few remaining friends,
are most likely to sing my songs
and read these thoughts about our ego/eco-conscious creolizing development,
after I die,
perhaps immediately after,
as my ashes are also creolizing,
compost for future healthy soils and plants and people and planet.

 

And, I hope this reading, research, discovery,
is primarily motivated by wanting to learn
why I have been so generous
with regenerative love,
and so abstemiously against degenerative-competitive hates and distrusts,
to win just one more day of breath
regardless of disinvestment costs to be paid by other,
future,
positive over-powering double-binding negative collateral regenerators.

To return to this Earth womb
from which we have so co-operatively
phylo-regenically rememberingly
sprung,
humane root systemic nature nurturers,
deep healthy co-arising nondual
secular/sacred
ego/eco-roots of eternally revolutionary consciousness.

Christian v NotChosen

Life does not necessarily mature into timeless love,
just as yeast is not the entire evolutionary journey for bread,
and the Way may be part of, but not the entirety of,
the Beloved Community.

It is so interesting, for a nondualist at least,
that a profoundly radical Jewish teacher
would say He is the yeast
while We are the embodied bread;
He is the Way,
yet We are the Kingdoms and QueenEarth Shabbats at hand.

Then the men turn it around,
get it all dualistically, cause-effect backwards,
while the women probably knew this Messianic mentor
as bootstrapping our evolutionary fulfilling birthing process
of incoming and oncoming and ongoing cooperative co-messianism.

The patriarchs,
with theo-means not-ecological words in hand,
were too invested in their post-revolutionary need to distance themselves
from the then-powerful elitist threat of Judaic cultural power,
at least by comparison with their post-revolutionary
dualist-fundamentalist Either/Or departure
into before-Christ/after-Christ messianism-already-fulfilled
by the One
who taught himself as the intentional mentoring leaven,
and not the entire cooperative organic co-salvific loaf;
as the only Way He could speak of and for,
but not our entire EarthTribe Garden
of cooperative ecotherapeutic
co-redemptive messianism at hand.

Too bad the wives and mothers,
the nondualist gatherers and not so much the dualist hunters,
didn’t have the education,
or perhaps even the verbal communication skills,
to write down their creolizing nondualist fulfillment narratives
of cooperative nurture,
to recall and cast a nondualist Messiah
who did not come to kill YHWH’s Chosen People,
or His own culture,
the regenerative history flowing through his humane-divining
mindbody,
but to leaven with these Elders,
those who had no ecopolitical Win/Lose self-centered elitist hypocrisies
like the Pharisees and Sadduccees,
those who were not over-invested in the competitive change of Caesar’s coin
from useful for cooperative consuming health
into iconic-only value for producing disembodied hoards of wealth,
and to leaven within us
as one continuously multiculturing
multigenerational
nondualistic-BothJewish/AndChristian
organic creolizing mindbody
of regenerative intention
and vast ecopolitically radical compassion;

Prescribing ReBirth with DT2

DT2 came to me, unwillingly and clandestinely,
only because he was referred by his mother,
who was concerned that he was growing up and out
to become an ego-terrorist,
and she had heard of my feminist work as ecotherapist–
so maybe her own WinWin hopes and dreams
for him
and her
and for her beloved matriarchal-fertile Earth,
could speak effectively with his WinLose terrifying games-man-ship.

DT2: You realize I think you’re a crock of shit witch
and I only brought you into this Oval Office
because that’s all my mother would accept
for Mother’s Presidential Day.

Me: Of course.
And it’s almost equally unpleasant to meet you too.
Yet isn’t it nice that you are already talking about your feelings?

DT2: Not particularly, no.
I talk about my feelings all the time.
In fact, some of my most mistrusted advisers and counselors
would like me to keep my feelings for WinLose business
under my corporate baseball cap.

Me: And it sounds like this may be why these advisers
too quickly grow mistrusted by WinLose patriotic-feeling you.

DT2: My national patriotism is not a matter of debate,
either internal or external.

Me: Yet perhaps your international matriotism
could become a matter of richer creolizing discussion,
just between us, if you prefer.

DT2: Don’t try to confuse me with your nature-spirit voodoo ways.
I told my mother
feminist ecotherapists are exactly what this nation does not need.

Me: And she disagrees with you,
and asked you to consider letting go of WinLose egocentric nationalist-patriotic you
to grab hold of WinWin eco-centric global
patriotic-matriotic bicameral ecopolitical balance.

DT2: I’m not the disloyal and sick one in this Office right now.

Me: And yet you sound so unhappy and unhealthy
and, frankly, ecopolitically WinWin dysfunctional.

DT2: To you, who thinks power is about feelings
more than controlling future corporate wealth.

Me: This is where you under-estimate your own potential.
Feminist ecotherapy speaks of both wealth and healthy feelings
as what we must,
and more or less matriarchally-domestically always have,
kept EliteLeft-Deductive/NonEliteRight CoEmpathic Trust together.
Yes I do care about the power of your passions,
both negative and positive,
both degeneratingly angry and fearful and terrified,
and regeneratively healthy and wealthy and cooperative,
but I also care about what this says to you about
our international future incarnated-incorporated-constitutional wealth
here on Earth,
where each future generation is bicamerally reborn and nurtured.

DT2: You naively give far too much power to love and cooperation.
My more stengthening experience
has been about patriarchal WinLose powers of survival
against threats of fear and hate and misguided anger management.

Me: And I can see this in your past,
as does your mother,
and your future remains a choice
to continue being over-powered by these unhealthy roots

matriotic-embryonic cooperative nurturing phylogenic memories

starts listening to our growing cooperative BothAnd EarthJustice half
for all Earth’s creolizing children and women and bicameral democratizing men,

as ecopolitically WinWin nature-nurtured Earth.

Art Therapy

My daughter,
with Oppositionally Defiant Chaotic Disorder,
has taught me a role-play therapy,
in which we Both-And build a back-and-forth story,
she plays me,
more or less,
and I play her
Mulatta as I inductively feel her
in my RightBrain resonant positives
and double-binding humorous negatives
kind of cooperative-regenerative way.

So the structure of our cooperative WinWin therapeutic narrative,
rather than oppositionally Win/Lose deconstructed,
might go something like:

Mulatta, speaking as kind of a Prince Charming Donald Trump: Cinderella, please come to my HotChick Inspection Ball.

Me, as kind of a Cinderella EarthMom on her best, most cooperative, day: Thanks so much for thinking of me, but I think I’m washing my hair that night.

Mulatta: Cinderella, you have to come to the Ball so we can dance together, and get married, and I can own you and tell you what to do for the rest of your pathetic life.

Me: Well, when you put it that way, how could I possibly refuse? Shall we dance?

Mulatta: Yes, it’s time for you to dance for me. Put on Ella Fitzgerald, “Love For Sale.”

Me: And then we’ll dance back-to-back to “Strange Fruit.”

Mulatta: And then we’ll be married and you’ll have eight babies.
