When I looked across our front lawn and garden,

ReCreating Organic Freedom

We created clients as consumers of education
and called this freedom to learn.

We created competitive,
ranked,
hierarchical,
professional caste-system schools
and called them freedom from unhealthy superstitions of extended families,
freedom from historic threats looming within mysteriously encultured biosystems.

We created prisons
and called them freedom from crime.

We created criminal clients
and called this freedom to enculturate indigenous tensions
struggles between Anger Management housekeepers
and uncivilized crime amongst themselves.

We created corporate ownership
without concomitant social,
political and economic responsibility,
and called it private property,
where once grew healthy therapeutic Commons.

We created slaves to others’ production of corporate wealth
and called us consumers and clients of RealTime,
economic and political competition life.

We created financial wealth
and called it powerful political health.

We created religious culture-fossilized Traditions,
brittle and stagnant absence of healthy evolution,
and called them spiritual-enspirited paths toward healthy vocations.

We created government by popular election
and did not call it survival of the wealthiest EgoCentrists.

We might like to create freedom to learn freedom from anthrocentrism,
to listen to self-governing nutrition-consumers producing co-valued information
about how and where and when we have substituted WinLose shortcuts
for WinWin co-mentoring political,
economic,
ecologically cooperative healthy-wealth of freedom orthopraxis,
organically and spiritually exegetical,
regenerative emergence,
evolving great millennial
and small intimate revolutions
networking Earth’s cooperative consciousness.

Afflicting Comforts

We are too comfortable with personal and public policies
enslaving and then raping Earth for another fossil fuel fix,
too coldly pillaging forests and fertile vegetation
for anthro-lust of evermore political domesticity of Earth,
craving economic sold-out played-out commodification
of Earth’s soil,
too blind to our shared international nutritional cooperative WinWin Soul,
too addicted to poisoning Earth’s oceans and all waters as our toilets
unless piped into our cathedrals of spiritual elitism,
too short-sighted to notice an ecosystemic flush valve
smelling of depopulating climate revenge.

These do not feel like appropriate ways for folks
to say thanks to our Elders,
namaste for DNA’s regenerating heritage,
Great Creation Story,
or fuck you to future drowning and starving and wilting
failure-to-thrive regenerators,
too “you’re not welcome” and “not all lives matter”
to our own transcultural grandchildren,
nephews, nieces, cousins,
and their cousins, and their Elders,
back through anthro-time.

If you believe you have a more important personal or professional vocation
than to do your share to restore:
the soil where you live,
the family you have been given
to solve love’s karmic syllogistic riddles,
the water you drink
but also the Earth that you pee and eventually die into,
the political and economically cooperative free fresh air
we all need to breathe Yang in
and Yin out,
ecoconsciously,
then you are probably over-invested
in overly-spiritualized non-rationalizations of empty hope,
soothing internal dissonance
about complicity in rape and pillage elite complacency,

of our ReGenerative Creator Elder Stories
after all.

Perhaps we are under-invested
in love’s WinWin cooperative network opportunities,
racing too competitively to notice richer healthier potentialities

within ecologically polypathic dialects
and language of Time’s co-arising light
and dualdark absence of co-empathy.

So go ahead.
Hug a tree.
It won’t do much for the tree
but it’s good for your Earth-natured soul.
Plant an organically intended garden in your daily life development story
that might feed your next seven generations,

Do something that shouts out our shared passion for life
and not your whimpering dispassions against death

thank you for your perfect gift of omission,

You are more curious
than absence would allow.

Not true.
You rush to judge rashly
evidence only future time could carry.

Suicidal Notes

Do you sometimes wonder about your self identity
seen through your lens for suicidal risk as opportunity?

It interests me that this lens
evolves as we age.

In later adolescence,
we often look in the face of transition
from good nutritional outcomes on a small stage
about to enter more competitively sharkish waters
within a significantly larger landscape.

Or so I focused my lens in my younger lack-time of wonder.
Not sure why or how these same transitions did not also apply
to nearly all those nonsuicidal 18-24 year olds,
enjoying a more Positive Psychology.

But now, in later adulthood,
I more often look in the face of a potential suicide
as one with at best mediocre outcomes
on a too-small stage,
often familial, or lack thereof,
about to enter no stage at all,
thinking maybe why postpone this mortal inevitability
of decay.

From younger suicides,
“What would be the point of continuing
this WinLose Game,
when we all feel RealTime drill,
you never clearly win
until you stop losing,
and you never stop losing,
until you stop playing.
Clearly I am about to lose
what I don’t feel all that great about
ever having won
at others’ expense.”

From older suicides,
“What was the point
of taking so long
to end this rigged Lose to Lose
death-embracing game
called life?”

It feels like these despair and suffering questions
co-arise within exponentially more of us,
asking echoing silos
as our encultured Earth moves
into a new revolutionary millennium.

Given the now nearly inevitable demise
of our polyculturally and climatically climaxing
exterior and interior lenses
of healthy hope v. toxic pathological
and monocultural decline
of ecological
and economic
and political balance,
how do we know
we are more than an overpopulating parasitic blight
riding Earth’s mortuary-in-waiting
where Elders remind was once
a healthy regenerative place
to continue living?

Yet it is so important to notice
not only all despairing souls
jumping off roofs
but also healthfully repairing souls
building polyculturally positive-deviant landscapes
of organic and synergetic opportunity,
cooperative networks of resonant resolve
sounding Time’s dipolar appositional
issues of despair as opportunities to repair,
still seeking reasonable,
yet deviant,
hope for shared regenerational vocations,

No ego is autonomously responsible
for feelings or thoughts,
ideation or even beliefs.
So it is no one’s right to judge feelings,
our own feelings,
the feelings-beliefs-ideas of others
as unacceptable or somehow cosmically dysfunctional,
condemning or worthy of global applause
is to take all that we have been given
far too personally,
too unrealistically removed from comparative
and nuancing context
to discern how we might choose to carry on.

It is our responsibility,
personally, and as a species,
to notice trends of suffering and despair,
compared to trends of multisystemic diversity,
polycultural density of nutritional choices,
ranges of harmonic freedom and healthy cultural balance,
as they appear to reflect
and not reflect
our shared experience to date.

Not to judge and condemn failures and despair,
but to praise our most regenerative successes
and love for equitably accessible hope
to include all Earth’s cooperative economy
among our emerging synergetic Tribe
of curious interests.

Wild Fire Management

I suspect you are right, that we get confused about the messages Earth gives us about what is optimally and sustainably healthy and inclusive of full diversity, including full-diversity of our anthro-centric neural systems, and degrees and oscillating waves of comparative mind-body health v. pathology.

When we measure the health of our political and economic forest, it would seem confusing and misguided to compare lifespans of the average organism within one forest to those of another, and thereby determine anything germane to comparative diverse “health-robustness” optimization of inter-species cooperative relationships . Although it might be interesting to compare the lifespans of the median organism–but maybe that’s what you meant, because the outcome measures are of trees, which should be about right in terms of the comparative internal diversity of Earth systems, but would be entirely wrong with regard to average lifespan of the entire incarnate biosystem within an ecosystem. We are essentially measuring the robustness of our temporal-Elders with median levels of regenetic-diversity balance in their endosymbiotic information processing and embryonic storage systems.

I think in Permaculture Design we learned that the old dead trees are best cut down and burned for fuel to heat our homes, allowing more room for a nearby medium tree to flourish, grow more robust, or perhaps even two or three trees to share this newly accessible ring of photosynthetic fuel.

What the forest seems to be saying to our “burn management” school of forest management, is to include age diversity in our measure of biosystemic diversity as a positive, and to assess each individual gift of the forest for its highest and best use, rather than trying to micromanage from on high. Facilitating trees of all ages  and digestive-breathing diversity of interrelationships is complex, requires considerable listening and discernment, and sitting together, showing up and showing to each other what we need to survive together.

The real measure of robust sustainable health is probably universally inclusive and unitarian-intended diversely welcoming, inviting political/economic environments. With trees and meditators and therapists we call this Basic Attendance, setting aside nutrient/neural-assumptions of cognitive/affective dissonance/pathology.

I suspect that mental health is mind health, and I suspect that our “mind” is not rationally reduced to a synonym for “brain” or even “head.” I further suspect that the combination of economic ecological health and political-private relational anthro-centric health are, for each of us, and for all of us. as cooperative co-mentors of health (because that’s what DNA is positively designed to do, that is DNA/RNA’s vocation, if you will, regeneratively sustainable health), the real-time currency of optimized Continuous Quality Improvement currently emerges, co-arises, as cooperative healthy-wealth care and perpetuation toward future healthy regenerators of all species.
