hmmm, who writes this stuff, anyway?

Religion and its healthy exercise
are exempt from acts of Congress.

What is this religion that needs freedom for exercise,
growth,
maturation evolving from what has become freely established?

I suppose religion might be multiculturally recognizable
as behaviors and beliefs,
absence of behaviors and disbeliefs,
motivated by grace,
especially if we might agree that positive grace
translates as positive karma,
as love,
as integral integrity,
as synergy.

Such encompassing grace could include EarthLovers,
Organic Gardeners,
EcoTherapists,
and Permaculture Designers
establishing regenerative health of intent and orthopraxis
within this shared free exercise of reweaving multicultural grace
ecosystemically balancing double-negative notnot grace.
Political Yang power
balances religion’s freedom-to-love Yin-flow of nutritional wellbeing.

Multi/poly-cultural religious outcomes
nurturing political freedom to grow
and mature
and enrich globally inclusive love-cultures,
religious freedom to optimize grace,
sustainably regenerative healthy ecological karma,
positive balancing double-negative, coarising.

As Congress works on deep bicameral political problems,
they/we are not to establish barriers to grace,
developing, not stagnating, mindful loving cooperative karma.

Designer Cabinet

The apparent President-elect
and her closest advisers
gather to build a Cabinet
that might survive four years of dwindling hope.

Let’s begin with a time of silence,
gathering our listening voices and thoughts,
hopes and therapeutic vision….

As this time ends,
I’m wondering if someone might help me understand
why we have a Department of Health and Human Services.
Does this “and” imply a mandate to provide health services to non-humans?
Or, maybe we provide non-healthy human services?
Why not just Department of Human Health Services?

Well, that would be confusing.
Social services,
like help for abused and neglected kids,
seems rather far afield from health services.
In fact, some of those programs are known to cause
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Maybe Healthy Human Services?
And, why is the Department of Education
not part of our Healthy Human Services Department?
What are the advantages and disadvantages
of keeping education separate from “services”?

I’m not sure how healthy our educational services are right now.
Some of our students don’t even feel safe at school,
much less happy and healthy.

Doesn’t that adversely influence learning outcomes?
Anyway, your mentioning safety reminds me
of the Defense Department.
If the Defense Department’s mission
is not to protect our health and safety
then I”m not sure what we are defending, exactly.

Maybe we should collapse Defense
into a new Department of Healthy and Safe Human Services.

Ballistics and safety don’t sound right together to me.

And what about proactive and preventative strategies,
aren’t these really more offensive
than defensive measures
to retain safe environments?

What about the Department of Healthy Human Security Services?

Seems like security
and defense
and preventive measures
to avoid ugly violence and aggression
are already in that word “healthy.”
It would be an oxymoron
to have a Department of Healthy Human Insecurity Services,
wouldn’t it?

Yes, that sounds more like my high school experience.

Especially those bathrooms

Wouldn’t the same concerns apply to all the economic,

and urban and rural development services?

And the Environmental Protection Agency?
That sounds like another health agenda to me.

Innocent Intentions

When I looked across our front lawn and garden,
listened to robins and crows
cawing warm June breezes,
I was then innocent of knowing
this would become our threatened birthright
and evolve our time to hear
climatic warming winds still blown

of when I began discovering, Why me?
Why now?
Why here?
When will this mutual rescue life begin,
and why did we ever think messiahs could

replete creation stories
with warm clovered lawns
surrounded by chattering echoing forests,

singing and breathing therapeutic care,
blowing Agape’s polypathic winds of courage
to remember our Original Intent.

I Would Not Speak of Devils

I would not speak these evil dilemmas,
devilish details,
dissonant fissures
disrupting smooth told sails
toward western red sunset horizons.

Who remains to listen
to remaining problems of evil?
to why and wherefore
of constitutions measured and cut through slavery
metered and sliced into commodities
for vote-inducing domestication,
to assure health and secure prosperity
evolving melting potted properties
of climatically overheating stew,
spewing through light years of infested information.

Too much meat, some plead,
Too much heat, some occupy,
Too much beat, some rapify
abilify,
vilify Traditional Constitutions,
Scripture bad-faith denominations of current currency
producing complex evil remainders,
lurking behind their historic multiplication,
sick culture dominations,
addictions with hypnotic terrors,
hyperactive mystics,
spastic tremors
regurgitating flatline outcomes,
post-climatic despair.

I would speak instead of resolutions implied within evils
composed by these same lively riders
in crisis of co-arising opportunity
to recover empty crosses within empty tombs,
yin-anima love within yang-animus power,
bicameral minds stretching and breathing
nondual coarising incarnating powers
to breathe God of Fire blown air
through our own humane potential image
to explore our goods in evils
as our evil imbalances between potential goods and services,
to implore co-operating political and economic powers
struggling with each suffering other,
to deplore ecological despair
struggling against each EarthTribe Other.

I would not speak of enduring suffering and evil
and death,
their irrational whys and wherefores
and therefore be it so semi-truly resolved.
I would listen to their reverse constitutional teachings
about inclusive health
and nutritional goodness
and multiculturally regenerate love as genetic life itself.

Then watch for optimizing creative god and goddess outcomes
within each day’s miraculous political relationships
and profoundly satisfying economic transactions.

We speak best through listening bipedal feet and hands,
finding our wu wei
back through empty tombs and empty lifetime crosses
seeking this our originating Trees of God is Good as NotNot Evil.

Truth is a feather

within which our bodies reside.

OK, students of life’s healthiest purposes and meanings,

How do you understand “mind” as other than “body”?

I don’t.]

Which, mind or body, do you believe came first,
or do you believe,
as I do,
consciousness and biosystems co-arise nondually?

Biosystems are self-identifying consciousness-rememory
DNA-encoded systems, or RNA, if you’re a tree or something green,
from before the time when physical root systems
transubstantiated into metaphysical regenerate root bilateral,

History’s Teachable Moments

Most of what happened in Uncle Ollie’s all too public life also resonated through his private transformations.

S/he became perhaps the first ever U.S. Secretary of Education without so much as a lowly Teacher’s Certificate in his/her bio, but was tapped more or less on the strength of her Certification as a Permaculture Designer, which s/he had ecologically mapped onto the Political Sciences of PostMillennial Taoism, in her text bearing that title.

In the early weeks of her tenure as Secretary (0)-Liver Glory, s/he now appearing only as Ms, if someone really needed a gender label to use, “…or how about Trans(0)Liver?” S/he often threw seeds toward the wind, but not all caught—that came along a little after her time with us.

Uncle Ollie agreed to speak on the topic of educational priorities during a National Governor’s Conference. S/he said, after her remarks went viral, that she didn’t realize she was to address the entire assembly, much less anticipate CNN and other media attention.

Thank you for your warm welcome here in Texas. The last time I was here I was at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport walking barefoot on the grass for a minute or so before a remarkably outraged Texas State Police Officer informed me I would be arrested if I did not get off the grass immediately.

I looked and listened to the chemically enriched grasses speak their sterilized voices, as best they could, and found no complaint from there. So I asked the Officer why would I be arrested for standing on public Texas soil.

For trespassing. Can’t you read? The signs say “Keep off the Grass.”

So, anyway, namaste for not greeting me with Keep off our Grass. I am slowly learning that, if thinking of landing in Texas, it is best that I am first invited, and second, I carefully follow written directions.

You asked me to say a few words about educational policy in the U.S., presumably because of, or even despite, germane remarks published in Political Sciences of PostTaoism as PermaCulturing Design and Healthy Education Development.

 In Pronia, Rob Brezsny writes “As long as we give up our control fantasies, we’ll always get what we want.” (p. 174)

Yes, Mr. Brezsny, but is what we want also what we need for good health, for mental health, for healthy absorbent listeners and productive consumers of Earth’s richly communicating history?

I am not so new to the Department of Education to have retained any control fantasies.  Yet I am still new enough to remain awed by learning what people most want to learn, to have more abundant, happy pursuits of contenting peace and political with economic justice.

What do we most want to learn? Are these reflected in our pedagogical priorities, in our learning environments, our mental health facilitation gestalts, in our Positive Psychology?

 And, should this primal question of learning to live within our healthiest best integrity not remain our highest and best global educational priority?

Healthy learning outcomes for individuals, families, communities,

biosystems and ecosystems,

co-mentor healthy learning,

polypathic intentions, plans, designs,

program implementation and post-coital evaluation.

 

In Permacuture Design

and in Taoism

and other mindfulness-rooted ecotherapies,

we begin healthy learning with focused (0)-zone bicameral listening

to co-arise deep learning

what and why and how this healthy information,

communication,

where and when and why these cooperatively therapeutic civil eco-servants

can and will learn from each other

what is most important to learn,

Please use all our microphones to share with us

your own hopes for the future of learning priorities on Earth,

because all lives matter,

or life itself does not matter

because it cannot sustain healthy internal and external climates—

while I think I see where this heads,

do we need to invest more in Anger Management

and NonViolent Communication?

Perhaps I am too addicted to my control fantasies,

but how do we get from teaching bored,

disinvested,

alienated,

angry,

frightened,

too-often bullied,

if only by ignorance and general neglect of healthy curiosity,

consumers of historical-cultural information

within pedagogical gestalts designed for happy healthy positively engaged

co-mentoring investors in learning

these hows and whys of healthy personal,

social,

political,

economic,

and ecological development?

 

I appreciate and share your question, Governor,

share your concern

and hope your question addresses all assembled here today.

who is responsible for setting a healthy stage for learning

personal and public distinctions between healthy interests,

wherein yin political responsibility for learning relationships

expecting actively co-operative open communication,

Where lies this moral culpability,

where our sense of responsibility emerges predefined

by grey-limned authorities?

Cooperatively intended political sciences

produce cooperative economies

within communication’s healthy v. toxic responsibilities.

 

If innocence is absence of culpable responsibility,

could ignorance evolve through educational neglect of culpable authority?

Learning health emerges most apparent, vivacious,

where yang’s truth authority, empowerment,

conjoins yin’s collatorally symmetrical co-mentoring responsibilities

for learning from informing functional behaviors,

verbal with non-verbal,

thought with feelings,

As I watch the CNN replay, a pregnant pause emerges from Secretary Glory’s abrupt, yet potentially fertile, end. A pause increasingly ambiguous and momentous, even as I sit before Uncle Ollie’s kitchen table, late this night, knowing how this silence must unfold.

I am aware, in hindsight, that you, public sector Governors, and hopefully private sector healthy self-governors, may share my own curiosity about ancient, still-evolving, histories of social and economic governance.

“power” more or less translated into what we might call therapeutic,

Power could not yet be a tool distinguishable from self-identity.

Rather power was most widely experienced in the context of “power with Other,”

regardless of who or how “Other” was perceived.

Power with Other to procreate,

to hunt together,

to demonstrate building of fires and planting of seeds,

co-mentoring communications,

all cooperatively functional,

competitively dissonant and dysfunctional.

 

This blend of therapy and power,

according to Julian Jaynes’ evolutionary theory,

emerges from Elder Right hemispheric roots

to dominate language cultures

as the correlational ability to perceive “not me”

as core identity of what later became encapsulated in “therapy-positive”

and “pathology-negative”

and both relational,

indistinguishable from “sole-identity power.”

 

The first cultural experience of power

becomes the ability of “self” referencing as “not-Other;”

a “self” that evolves dipolar co-arisingly identifiable from “not-self”

because of perceived,

then learned, further reinforced, spatial-temporal distinctions

deriving from Prime DiPolar CoIdentity Relationship,

distinction between what “self” could unilaterally control,

I am surprised and also surprised to have this come without any prior involvement in the decision. Regardless, it did remind me of when he made an unusually non-disruptive appearance at my high school graduation, as I rhetorically cast my philosophical spell across the valedictorian benediction, a lofty from-above farewell to fellow pilgrims along gainful information’s way.

He congratulates me on my speech. Not quite as elated as I had hoped, but maybe I only felt that twinge of disappointment later, after he advised me, as late June shadows stretched out across banks of now nearly empty chairs on the football field, to ignore most of the competitive economic and political assumptions shoveled out before, during, and immediately after Commencement. His response to my benediction is his own meditation on leaves and their embryonic seeds. “Your memory of life’s Trees of Good and Not-So-Much will fill in over time.”

Perhaps I had not demonstrated sufficient focus, because Uncle Ollie elaborated at the podium in Vermont as I sat among the ranks about to wander forth.

I am not the only one to doze off as s/he feels lost in remembering primordial permacultural language development. Whether s/he withdrew up on the stage, or I in my chair, or all of us cocooned into our pre-festive exhaustion, feeling constrained by English norms, relationships of similarity and difference between leaf nutritional functions and embryonic seed forms, folds and unfold strictures, instructions, fractal regenerative, dialectical syntax…

Until the only human voice available speaks from early Evolutionist Prophets, name dropping Bucky Fuller, Julian Jaynes, Thomas Kuhn, Karl Popper, Andrew Cohen, all foretold by LaoTse, Dr. (0)-Liver’s most beloved humorist of life’s ecobalancing WuWei.

Sun rays represent light, but also language distinctions such as goodness, bright, beauty, medicine, therapy, health, bounty, power with love, held together by Sun’s fueling embryonic relationship to Earth’s birth, flowering as EarthTribe ecoconsciousness, captured in RNA/DNA Identity Solidarity.

RNA/DNA Solidarity was already a PreMillennial stretch of (0)-Liver’s deductive-academic imagination. But, Glory’s further political ecology of solidarity as cooperative synergy with ectosymbiotic natural functions was well before her pre-revolutionary time.

S/he had no audience for this too-eisegetically subjective/intuitive line of conjecture. No resonance, as she might have said, and, in fact, did say in the privacy of her own backyard.

Here, in her holy of holies, s/he spoke and listened with her beloved birds, earthworms, trees. This was the solidarity of ecological communication of which s/he not-so-resonantly spoke with other of us humans during her PreMillennial era.

Glory’s self-prescribed ecotherapy, during her more retiring, eremitic Taoist (0)-Liver reincarnation, was to breathe and bathe and dream in permacultural bicameral designs, balancing Yang as Yin prime-Zero square-rooted EcoMetric-Iconic Language; his Left healthy Interior Language with her Elder RightBrain polypathic Exterior RNA-praxis of regeneratively healthy development, measured in time invested within sunlight.

When (0)-Liver Glory wrote of love, s/he was more likely to be sitting outside her home, on backyard deck cushions, drenched in sunscreen, following the shade-lines as they crossed her organic edible and ornamental gardens.

Uncle Ollie had this theory, well…not really even a well-defined hypothesis, but more of a hunch of some kind, that Vitamin D, which isn’t really even a vitamin, is as important to normal daytime experience as sleep is to healthy nighttime processing of experience.

These two gestalts, outdoors in RNA-predominate environments and indoors interior endosymbiotic dream consciousness, speaking to and with each other in confluent voices and dialects of ecological analogy.

Sometimes s/he would veer off into sunlight compared to moonlight, ergodic rhythms and patterns with revolving ionic synergy, sharing fractal as double-bound octave frequencies of color as sound and pitch and tone direction. This diversionary string s/he preferred to keep hidden, if only because s/he wasn’t sure of its polypathic merit, in proportion to its threat of self-declared madness.

And yet, in more subdued moments, on a beach, or walking along the river behind her home, s/he invested more leisurely time ruminating aloud about the evils and the goods of human shelter. Great for inclement weather; not so great for warm no-rain weather relationships.

S/he feared our over-developed domestication was leading to negative correlational under-development, suboptimization of healthy natural relations between RNA-scripted and DNA organic balanced humanity. Most shelters invited daytime outdoor activity, because outdoors felt like a more comfortable alternative than dark and dank interiors. But, as this turned into shelters looking out over concrete and asphalt at other two-story on up to high-rise structures, blocking not only sensory communication with Earth’s soil, but also light and sky and breeze, then our sense of political health began to unravel from our lifestyle wealth; our basic economic wealth no longer rediscovered each day as our ecologically sheltered and unsheltered mental and physical health. “Overly domesticated enculturation—neither healthy nor sustainable.”

Seeking purposive meaning for life and beauty and love
feels like trying to gratefully worship a transcendent God
outside myself,
outside my responsibilities,
relationships,
outside my political and economic authority,
outside my friends and enemies,
outside Earth and all Earth’s bio- and ecosystems.

Yet, all I can know of this outsideness
is absence, loss, death, dismay, abandonment, neglect, violence
competing among themselves for loudest voice
where God is not incarnate,
not omnipotent,
not omnipresent,
not life,
not beauty,
not love.

If God is not my epicenter of healthy active incarnating love,
seeding and weeding and watering and nourishing
and polyculturally-multiculturally harvesting
abundant communication and community and personal
and political and economic cooperative health,
responsible and authoritative ecotherapeutic evolution
of Self as Other
interdependent with Earth’s ecological co-mentoring,

bodhisattva occupier vocational opportunities

And, that could work out just fine,

Spirit-Nature Resonance

Perhaps a profound difference
between human nature and Earth’s other forms and dialects
merges our bilateral capacities to choose response
to longing and belonging
with their opposite intentions.

Belonging inspires antipathies of not belonging,
mutual immunities recognized and assimilated,
