Civilizing Savages

I stumbled over Paul Tillich’s translation
of the MessiahMentor’s Other Great Commission.

The Great Commission we learned in Sunday School
was to go out and convert the barbarians
and savages to Christianity.

Yet this Other Great Commission feels like a necessary prerequisite,
like requiring Statistics 1
before wandering on into the further abstractions of trending probabilities
and improbabilities
that savages could become barbarians
and barbarians become civilizations
of savage-barbarians
as uncovered in Statistics 2.

Tillich’s version of St Matthew (5:48) reads
“You must be all-inclusive as your heavenly Father is all-inclusive.”

Jesus has been exegeting perfect love
as favorably contrasted against not-so-perfect love,
and the conclusion summarizes with
YHWH as the perfection of all-inclusive love,
so this is also our civilizing humaning-divining destiny,
this perfect all-inclusiveness,
which would seem to necessarily include
the nature worshipping savages
and the MightMakesRight barbarians
within us all.

But, what I wonder,
from my presumably partially redemptive civilized perspective,
is how could becoming all-inclusive perfection of love
be anything less than taught by God the LogosHeavenly Father
and mentored by Goddess the MythosEarthly Mother?
These two faces of one co-arising nondual all-inclusive love
of the hunters and gatherers,
the MightMakesRight Patriarchal
and the Cooperative Matriarchal barbarians,
and the strong-masculine/nurturing-regenerative-flow
civilizing as creolizing LeftYang bodyminds
and RightYin mindbodies.

To perceive oneself as one of the holy civilized
rather than barbaric unwashed
seems to deny the endemic creolization,
adaptation,
adoption,
co-opting,
extracting from what was before
that is the matriarchal-cooperative nutritional stuff
of a nurturing emergent co-acclimating civilization.

To comprehend myself as patriarchal/matriarchal civilizing
speaks first to becoming all-inclusive mentor of love,
including all the YangNature and YinSpirit
of my barbaric heritage,
remembering adolescent hormonal waves of supremacy v intimacy,
and embracing my own TerribleTwos savagery;
I must eat when I am hunger,
drink when I am thirst,
sleep when I become tired of all Other.

This perfection of all-inclusive bicameral love
emerges the first clue how to share good co-redemptive news
to be found within every holonic tradition,
every ergodic rhythmed transition
of which we are each a necessary,
but never autonomously sufficient, part,
in our savage through bicamerally civil maturation,
mutual-creolizing acclimation.

Ergodic: like holonic, only dynamically inclusive,
as holonic is statically exclusive of partiality.
A process (progress, evolution)
in which every sequence
(stage, regenerative frame, co-acclimating development)
and/or sizable sample
is equally representative of the whole
(as in all-inclusive holiness).

that any dynamic state (stage, regenerating frame) will recur

Perfectly all-inclusive love

of adolescent coming of nature-spirit competitive age,

From this view,
it seems curious that Pope Francis
would look back through vast histories of spiritual experience
and find memories of God’s priestly invisible hand

of motherhood nurturing perfect all-inclusive love,

A book of lists
is what I need
to absolve Earth’s Tribes
of rampant greed.

Before and after lists,
being and becoming fists,
masculine and feminist mutual mentoring trists
of transliterative transubstantiation.

I would like to hug
a warm and fuzzy theology
with prophetic philosophical appeal
to aesthetic reasons and tastes
that both hunters and gatherers
might sing and dance along
together.

Nationalism is out,

Egocentric competitivism is out,

I need an updated list of reasons why

then green is in
and when they grow together
we rediscover rich brown creolization
of less anthrocentric cultures,
we reweave deep dark mythos/logos syncretism,
for healthier earth history stories,
not just logos taught, but also mythos mentored.

I love this list
of red becomes purpling peopling nurturing equalities

Baby Boomers and Bummers

Most Baby Boomers started out hoping to leave life
having continued our Great ReGenerativity,
our progressively recycling becoming through economic extraction,
boundless growth of optimal Win-Wealth is also Win-Health.

We are the last generation
hoping to autonomously leave more than we have taken in.
To give back,
to pay forward investment in Earth’s cooperative health and safety insurance,
re-assurance.

In this early post-millennial era,
we have a great transitional cultural dissonance
between those who continue believing it is merely realistic,
rationally nihilistic,
to give up on this hopelessly disconnected non-renewable dream,
already not accessible to our post-millennial consciousness
of internal and external climate pathologies.
And, on the other hand,
there remain those of relentless active faith
that we are here at this time,
invested in this transitional moment,
increasingly WinWin
continuously short- and long-term evolving time
to learn from Father Sun and His revolving voice of Wind
to balance healthy continuous consumption
with wealthy production of renewables;
that life is for continuous cooperative reinvestment
and not time for ignoring WinLose waste,
sub-optimization of energy’s continuous potential resources.

As we turn from seeking regenerative continuity
for the span of one humane natural generation,
toward the span of one humane-divine Earth’s life span,

flying under banners of nationalistic patriotism,

Neglecting Top and Bottom Lines

I worry we co-invest in big private and public corporate assault
on Earth,
on environmentalism,
on longer-term ecologic.

Really, honey?
That’s too bad.
Why not also see long-term assault
as the unintended outcome of short-term neglect
of cooperative care-giving,
healthy nurturing behavior,
Golden Rule economic and ecological behavior,
like we learned in Sunday School?

Well, yes, I guess I can see that.
And yet, responsibility for neglect
is not the accountability for injustice I seek
for assault on climate health,
landscapes of regenerative, rather than degenerative, potential,
resonant slow-growth multicultural fertility,
organic resilience,
full color octaves of strong-hued eloquence,
resonance for future Earth reweaving regenerators.

I wonder if it helps
to remember that assault derives from learned fear-mongering critical-event behavior,
while neglect speaks to more chronic ecosystems of over-investment
in short-term corporate ego-inflation,
rather than short-thru-long-term ego-eco bicameral economic regenerative balance?

WinWin regenerativity is big corporate’s WinLose assault for survival target.

I think you give them too much evil conspiracy credit
and not enough human neglect of ecological long-term mindfulness credit.
When positive growth trends
are measured only in producing accumulation of wealth
for investors, both taxpayers and shareholders,
without any thought to quantities of resources consumed
in exchange for this investment,
then this further feeds short-term neglect of long-term investment in care-giving and receiving
and cooperative co-arising long-term mindfulness.

You are reminding me
of all the corporations I have ever known
with 4-generation Mission Statements
about their corporate Original Intent,
yet, at best, 4-quarter profit-making projections,
positive outcome budgetary wish lists.

And then, too,
we have the 4-generation campaign promises
derived from public corporation officials’ ReGenerative Constitutional Intent,
yet, at best, a 6-year re-election cycle,
and more likely 4-year,
or even just 2.

Yes, we do seem to have a degenerative tension
between the post-revolutionary Constitution’s Original Intent
to keep this democratizing revolution going,
for cooperating with the healthy wealth of Earth
and our nation-state neighbors,
as diplomatically and economically possible,
and within our own multiculturing liberties and justices,
mercies and re-acclimating
redefinitions of peace as restraining tolerance
for those terrorizing differences we could never nutritionally celebrate,
tearing families from their homes,
children from their terrorizing/terrorized parents,
young adults from their malnourished
self-medicating
Business As Competitively Usual
neighborhood environments.

Democratizing intended Constitutions
speak of co-arising health-wealth,
where one could not become,
much less sustain,
without the other;
where co-investment in politics of democratic growth,
maturation,
mutual acclimation,

Perennial Problems

I suppose you might have missed out on Paul Feyerabend’s,
and especially Thomas Kuhn’s Problem of Incommensurabiity.

Oh, not at all.
I have not looked at science or culture
or language
or even your attempts at communication
quite the same since I ran across their big dilemma.

Interestingly,
it shares some dynamics with The Prisoner’s Dilemma,
in WinWin NonZero Game Theory,
but that is a reiterative mapping story for mutual acclimation
on some other, even more abstract, day.

Put simply,
it appears that a term used within some theoretical framework,
at earlier Point A,
take evolution, for example,
may or may not evolve some incommensurable
not entirely equivalent with, to, for, from
the same term as it appears in a subsequent
Point B post-revolutionary framework.

For example,
is what YHWH meant to Abraham
an equivalent theological function
to what Jesus of Nazareth meant by Abba?

And,
what Darwin meant by symbiosis
may or may not be the same as what Jane A Gordon
might mean by symbiosis…

Not symbiosis, dear,
her word is ‘creolization.’

Right of course;
relentlessly flowingly so.
Let’s see,
Darwin’s use of ‘evolution’

A problem for more successful Nazi leaders
during the early exterminating 1940s
was what would they be

There is no one left to lose,

for who we will feed off next,

creolizing our co-nurturing empowerment

This came to mind
as I have gradually, perhaps too relentlessly, become aware
that most of my family and few remaining friends,
are most likely to sing my songs

after I die,

compost for future healthy soils and plants and people and planet.

 

And, I hope this reading, research, discovery,
is primarily motivated by wanting to learn
why I have been so generous

Christian v NotChosen

Life does not necessarily mature into timeless love,
just as yeast is not the entire evolutionary journey for bread,
and the Way may be part of, but not the entirety of,
the Beloved Community.

It is so interesting, for a nondualist at least,
that a profoundly radical Jewish teacher
would say He is the yeast
while We are the embodied bread;
He is the Way,
yet We are the Kingdoms and QueenEarth Shabbats at hand.

Then the men turn it around,
get it all dualistically, cause-effect backwards,

as bootstrapping our evolutionary fulfilling birthing process

were too invested in their post-revolutionary need to distance themselves

Yang is about the structure of your regeneratively-intending nutrition landscape,
while Yin notices the feeling climates of decompositional potential,
degenerative winter
co-arising regenerative diastatic climaxing regenerative summer,
self and other cooperative
interdependent polyculturing,
multiculturing political-health as eco-wealth,
in contrast to winter’s purgative monopoly of hibernation.

If you are a Universal-Unitarian,
Yang is your Ego’s universe-embodying health and safety world views,

nurturing defensive climates
of domestic integrity and cooperative tranquility;
Earth ecoconscious mercy with peacefilling ego-swelling-indwelling feelings.

This relationship between regenerative Yang

is easy to remember,
as easy as remembering to induct air into your lungs,
from Yin-purged toward Yang diastatic,
and then deducting out from Yang full-regenerated
toward Yin-degenerating.

Our breath is deductively toward Yin

Public Prurient Interests

Last evening I noticed another disconcerting Trump headline.
This felt and smelled more like a deadline
for disintegration
than a lifeline,
a bootstrap, if you will,
toward integrity of health and regenerative safety,
which I thought was front and center
in our US Constitution
which I remember him swearing to protect
right before he reassured all of us
he is here to listen to everyone;
Republicans and Democrats and Libertarians and Greens,
and whatever other ecopolitical party affiliations
he might be able to discover
and learn from
on his new Presidential executive ordering journey
into twitterland.

Anyway,
the headline was about White House Rumblings
of an assault on the legalized and medicalized marijuana industry.

My first reaction
Why?
Why would a federal administration
that has just finished reassuring all fifty States
that where students poop and pee in school should,
by right, rest solely at the state level to regulate,
then,
almost in the next inordinate breath,
also send out this alarming message to all fifty States
that it has become a new federal health and regenerative,
integrative, long-term through short-term, safety assurance issue
that my kids should prefer the alcoholic beverage industry
over the THC industry.

I’m still wrapping my brain around how that could possibly be defended,
construed,
framed,
promoted,
marketed,
sold and also bought,
as a consistent reading of
“listening to everyone”
about their constitutionally protected federal rights
to health and regenerative safety,
to well-integrated,
resonant,
consistent,
sane public policy.

I believe it was a congressman,
and not a “prurient interest” judge,
who said he could not define pornography,
but he knew it when he saw it.

This Administration, to date,
has brought us not only our first twitteringly Naked Disintegrative President,
but now his fascist federalist tendencies
begin to look more like jacking off in public,
like pursuing his personal prurient exhibitionist fear-mongering agenda
instead of paying even lip service
to his true mandate,
the health and regenerative safety Original Intent
of not only the U.S. Constitution,
but also the Bible he laid his right dominant hand on,
and the economic and political act of active listening
to a healthy-wealthy regenerative multicultural society
of humane citizenry
doing our best to follow our Golden Rule intentions
to at least do no alcoholic-buzzed harm,
cause no further dis-integrity,
and, whenever and wherever possible,
to follow a path of regenerative health,
happiness,
and multiculturing prosperity.

As for DT2 himself,
I suspect he would improve his governing outcomes
by easing off the alcohol
and investing more in some reefer madness,
preferably while among a large,
extended family, picnic,
a multiculturing,
multi-generational banquet.

But, DT2 aside,
this White House has already become the home of nakedly prurient interests,
rather than federal and state health and integrative safety policies
and procedures,
regenerative planning and design,
rather than degenerative reacting and assault and wall-building.

Prurient–marked by arousing
immoderate
unwholesome (unhealthy, unsafe, unredemptive, non-therapeutic)
investment in desire.

With pornographic performance,
we speak of a whole lot of immodest sexual desire,
but with the current Executive Branch of ecopolitically competitive,
rape and pillage, performance,
we speak of a whole lot of immodest fear and war-mongering desire.
The rampant raging desire
to play WinLose games
of naked competition for elitist supremacy
on a WinWin Constitutional and Biblical and planetary climate stage.

The key operative governance, administrative, executive skills,
word here is “unwholesome” v “wholesome.”
Certainly we aren’t intending to legislate what is
“marked by arousing, sometimes even immodestly so,
but still wholesome investments in regenerative desire.”
Wholesome is about regenerative multiculturing natural evolutionary,
sacred nurturing revolutionary,
co-redemptive,
safe,
healthy choices,
even as these will inevitably lead, sometimes,
on our best days,
toward dopamine ecstasies.

This, to me,
and for my extending multi-generational,
multi-cultural family,
sounds more like a mandate to co-invest
in health and safety industries,
with or without THC,
rather than investing further in the prurient, vaguely alcoholic,
unwholesomeness of Nakedly Elitist AllWhite Houses.
