Uniting Republics of Domesticity

It took us too long,
but eventually
we noticed Republican women
and Democrats both women and men
often preferred to spend about twice as much on domestic education
and defensively proactive mutual health care assurance
as compared to international defensive co-investment,
too often reduced to the militaristic over-industrialized budget.

And, of that international relations budget,
about two-thirds for growing cultures of healthy peace warriors
and maybe up to one-third on policing criminal offense
with cooperative co-investment intent.

So,
the domestic and educational security matriarchs
formed cooperative ecopolitical networks
for governing inside these fifty States,
while the more WinWin patriarchs
tried to mutually dominate
a more Left-Right Brain and Mind and Incarnate Body
of harmonic global co-investment networks.

Both internal and external cooperatives
rooted in Lovelock and Margulis double-binding
chemistry as also synergetic microbiology
producing Gaia Hypotheses of CoRevolution,
flowering in Golden Rules Revised:

Do not not ecopolitically flex and do
as you would have your great grandchildren remember like you,

We noticed trees in an old secular commodified above ground way

breathing in yang light
to breathe out yin-fractal RNA energy
of, and yet also for,
root systemic regenerativity.

Bilateral hierarchical competitive
and yet also reverse-hierarchical cooperative
trees and shrubs and grasses
creating and recreating flowers and polyculturing seeds
with Earth’s water and humus
eco-rooting more than mere cheerleader omnipotent support.

We noticed matriarchally cooperative root systems
understand above ground care-receiving

confronted by growing climates and cultures of pathology,
listened for their underground seedling children’s futures

nurturing sisters
and feminist brothers
and the vast polyphonic voices in-between bilateral polarities,
and saw this Tree ReStoration must become
our sacred understory
of regenerative forest creation

Age of EnLightened Revolutions

The original Independence declarations
of the late 1700s
were born from a West European colonizing
and North American creolizing immigration wave
knowing and exploring a God of EnLightenment,
opposed to dark evils of inherited entitlements
to monopolies of economic health-hoarding and greed,
political wealth of supreme self-empowerment.

This newly minting ecumenical God of Enlightenment
spoke most resonantly through the Holy Spirit
of those Separatists and Quakers and Pilgrims
seeking a New Eden
in a New World of natural-spiritual freedoms
to grow regeneratively,
and freedoms from overpowering attacks
by EnDarkening degenerative nature-spirit entitlement powers.

While this God of creolizing nature-spirit EnLightenment
did give post-revolutionary way
to the born-again elitist Christian God of Awakening,
opposed to the unenlightened secular and pagan not reborn,
this was a reactionary dualistic after-thought
separating the newly elite EnLightened
from the unwashed Not Awake Yet.
The God of EnLightenment
was much more transcendently democratic,
both hopeful and faithful,
and lovingly lavish
including all forms of regenerative natural-spiritual intelligence.

Even a great Landscape of New Eden
could itself become an enlightened ecosystem,
whether Christianized,
to bring traditional creation story language
to this co-redemptive (0)-sum WinWin economy,
or, even more transcendently,
merging First and Second Nation Gaia stories.

An important difference between the Awakening God
and the EnLightening God
is this dynamic of cultural transcendence
of labels
and ideologies
isms rooted in deductive competition’s necessary assumptions.

In God’s transcendent experience,
cooperative relationship remains a timeless Yang Master
while ecopolitical and psychological competitions,
within and without,
become our eternal YinFlow Servants;
never the other way around.

This is the only natural and spiritual function for supremacy of power
within our Original God of Master/Servant Enlightenment,
cooperative creolizing enculturation,
deep ecological listening
and learning
and languaging
and teaching,
more yang empowering
than oppositional paradigms and trends
that can also be reconceived as yin appositionals,
hypostatic GaiaSystem bilaterals,
MidWays,
WuWeis,
Tipping Points
in between rocks and hard places.

In this Holy Enlightenment Spirit,
we more clearly find resonance
of health-giving and health-receiving
with wealth of happiness
as sufficient for grateful prosperity
for living within this Original Interdependent Intent
of our truly patriotic
and enlightening constitution
of purpose
and meaning,
song and dance
of God the Creator Father’s transcendent light.

The umbilical cord
connecting Left-dominant Yang

Summer of ’67

My canopy of early summer sounds
in 1967
was as intimate as adolescent knowledge
might ever become.

My sixteenth summer
sweetly smiled with driver’s permit,
my first job,
economic promise while the Beach Boys
and the Beatles sang a rainbow
of boy band diversity,
sang stories of straight white male revolutions,
evolutions of June firefly evenings
resounding bullfrog and cricket background vocals
on our family farm,
where good Christian Republicans
longed for good old Eisenhower years
when Father was wise
and always knew best,
and Vietnam was no more than an acrid draft
of wasted social
financial
political
environmental
nutritional capital,
not yet fully present.

This summer of 1967
was when I knew both anguish of embodied defeat,
hopelessly homosexual,
an yet poignancy of emerging mystical wonder
about what this could mean
fifty years from now.

I could not help fantasizing
how Paul and Art
might not only sing,
but dance, in poignant harmonies.

And,
as much as I laughed and loved and longed
to hear Stevie Wonder wondering
and Otis Redding wanting,
Marvin Gaye worshiping,
I so wished they could sound even better
with me.

Joni Mitchell
and Joan Baez
and Judy Collins,
like John Lennon,
were compelled to write and speak and sing
songs of love as freedom
growing transcendent
yet deeply fertile
Aquarian promise.

A promise bombed out
by uncivil wars
bound by fear of egocentered failure.
Fear our parents,
and half of my junior year classmates,
found compelling enough to throw away dollars
to build and buy
and transport
and explode bombs and bullets and boys,
nearly oblivious to hundreds of thousands of innocent men
and mothers
and children wiped out
by a mere strategic choice
to cover partisan ass
as the biggest baddest bully
on Earth’s shrinking block.

I didn’t blame him,
but when I called James Taylor
to rescue the Johnson and Nixon White Houses,
he did not come,
as promised,
to rescue me,
to remind us about our friend and family connections
across cosmic time
and Earth’s regenerate space.
A great ballad was just not enough.

In June of ’67
I was singing both “I Believe”
and “Love is Blue”
with equally honest passion
and thriving off a translucent vulnerable cover song
between these two impossibly incommensurable positions,
surrounded by straight evangelical predators,
sniffing for pinko faggot weakness.

I was so guilty
yet so in love with rightness
and ripeness
of my generation’s possibilities
for revolutionary integrity,
drawing together economic health
with political wealth
in some new golden ruling age
of relentlessly cooperative incorporation
and association
and ownership
and self-governance.

In this early summer of 1967
Martin and Bobby still walked with us
and one still dreamed he might see
someone who looked and thought and felt like him
as President one day
and the other I dreamed would become President
while I was still a high school junior.

So much devastation and disappointment followed.
It took at least a decade
and hundreds of thousands of human lives
treated like conscripted fodder
for nationalistic hubris of false pride
to arrive at the very treaty
our Vietnamese opponents had originally demanded.
And long before anyone from the U.S.
had been drafted and killed
for this offensive cause
of nationalistic non-defense.

Other health care and defense abuses
and losses
followed.
Neglect of women’s health.
Pedagogical loss of children’s deep ecological listening opportunities
to nondually co-arise with Earth’s polyphonic voices,
resources of multiculturing nutrition.

Yet I have these summer of ’67 memories
when,
for one diastatic season,
my revolutionary age on planet Earth
stood between despair of guilt
for what and whom I could never become
and celebrating hope for joy
of what we might yet reweave
timelessly singing and dancing
chanting and drumming
revolutioning and evolutioning together.

Health Loss WarGames

As I transitioned from high school
to the University of Michigan,
one of the leading national health and safety issues
was painfully violent loss of Vietnamese and U.S. lives,
and hundreds of thousands hurt,
maimed for life,
if only on our now insane war-torn insides.

President Nixon
and his Secretary of State
Henry Kissinger,
when pushed by my peers
to get out now,
once and too often said
“I don’t disagree with you
as to the wisdom of our original involvement,
but we cannot leave in a way that would cause dishonor,
loss of credibility…”

My own Republican parents seemed to agree.
What they and Nixons and Kissingers could not hear
was our morally imperative challenge:
We agree with each other,
and with our most patriotic ForeFathers
and ForeMothers,
and our Vietnamese and U.S. grandmothers,
as to the health hazards and unsafe indefensible original involvement
in shooting each other
to continue not resolving legitimate economic and political issues.

Because of these historical precedents
to procure and protect mutual health,
happiness,
and prosperity,
we cannot stay in Vietnam
in a way that would cause even further dishonor,
loss of health and dwindling wealth credibility…”
political credibility
ecological credibility,
just plain rational credibility,
or even both Left and Right sacred integrity.

It saddens me to hear,
as my children are now of about that same adolescent
through young adult time,
vulnerable to full health care choices
accessible only for those with deepest pockets,
to hear Republican leaders
responding to recent overdue Affordable Care actions
with:
“I don’t disagree with you
as to the wisdom of health and safety
original constitutional intent,
but we must leave behind Democratic Obamacare
improvements toward this sacred federal mandate
or dishonor our partisan public disservice,
and further muddy our loss of credibility.”

Again,
they are not listening
to voices for secular health
and sacredly defended safety of all lives:
We all,
Republicans and Democrats,
U.S. and non-U.S. residents
with democratically cooperative original constitutional intent,
must not remain the only wealthy nation
without a clear culture of health federal mandate
to protect economic
and ecological
and physical
and mental health
and safety of all lives,
now,
and those yet to come,
or we will continue to bring dishonor upon ourselves,
and an even longer pathological history
of decreasing global credibility,
not just among humane nature
but with
and for
and of all Earth’s health-wealth optimizing natures.

Rivers Revolving Crises

In backyards of my history
lies a tidal river
of ebb and flow revolutions.

These revolutions are normally no-news evolutions
back up toward headwaters of crisis and opportunity,
diastatic and polyphonic purest capital boundary roots
for future’s river flow investment
out-flowing down
from Earth’s absorbing rain
back through tributaries
toward saltwater seas of creolizing cultures,
estuary bounded
vulnerable fertile forests
in deep blue lagoons,
anthro-roots of historic habitation preference.

Preference for normal downstream flow
of peaceful evolution
following wiser councils.
Uncivil and international strivings paddle more violently upstream
merely to tread equivalent water,
stuck in midway-revolutioning
ambivalence about criminal necessities
of both WinLose capital gives and takes of violence
about our historic civil rights
to simply revolve around
to float WinWin downstream
with time to sing and dance together
more harmoniously
heading for Earth’s shared polyculture forest
Paradise of globally non-violent,
and well-fed, democracy.

Democracy has swung both ways
across my USA lifetime.
Sometimes revolutionary fighting
toward purity ideals of heavenly headwaters,
inspired by conserving dreams of where
and when
and how and why
our river of democratic loving leisure started,
in austere glacial yet matriarchal mountains
of alpine womb regenerativity,
bright and thin-aired climates
yet already trickling with deep rich promise
as this river’s economy tumbles down
both healthy wealth
and pathological abuse
of toxically competing poverties
among nutrition’s spiritually diverse dynamics.

Dynamics of feeding and bleeding rivers
feel not yet ecotherapeutically known,
yet ecologically
and psychologically
and even democratically
and global multiculturally felt and already heard
as absence of dissonant ecopolitical waters.

No regenerate river can bleed investments
downstream toward political enculturing forests
except what has been co-invested fed-in upstream
evolving cooperative nurturing streams
flowing economically healthy downstream.

Downstream revolutions
are caused by history’s upstream co-invested evolutions.

Evolution along this democratizing river history
prefers to AnthroParadise arrive
within Earth’s blue lagoon fullness,
emerging from headwaters of capital investment
cooperatively flowing down and out
to become caught where most needed
by future generations
longing for eternal peace,
yet finding daily violence
in nationalistic
supremacist,
often patriarchal,
voices.

Voices violating tidal rivers silence have not yet listened
to learn
deepy etched peaceful river revolutions.

When rivers are yet young and steep
and still bedrock stoned
with our own internal needy cultures,
we overfeed gravity’s urgent pull
down and out into salty seasons
of confusing chaotic surge and surf.

Surfing revolutions of peaceful tidal rivers
are sweetest
in deep creolizing histories of matriarchal family
and tribal peace-keeping cooperative revolutions,
slow-evolving rich soil striation,
river double-boundaries by WinWin consensus.

WinWin consensual tidal rivers
flow back to re-invest in capital producing austerity
of ego-eco concentric flowing purpose,
to conjoin again
back down and out
creating forested economic views
and deep creolizing dreams
of slow rhythms
rich blues
dancing in and out,
up and down,
singing democracy
back and forth,
breathing in history’s peaceful evolutions
with acrid burning and burying violent revolutions
to breathe downstream and out
peace intending rivers
co-revolutioning awareness,
bleeding ebb of matriarchal opportunity
and feeding flow of patriarchal crisis.
