Higher and Deeper Powers

I was noticing that those in the Unitarian Universalist Association,
with which I am more or less anonymously affiliated
in some far too abstract way for personal comfort,
believe in three prime sources for their (our) truth search,
rather like a revised holonic trinity,
equally at home for Buddhist monk
or Islamic or Christian not-quite-so-fundamentalistically BothAnd alive.

The first of these is a Higher Power.
Now this must have been written by the Yang Universalists
within the Universal-Unitarian assembly,
because every wholesome Yin Unitarian knows
that what is a Higher Power for Universalist Yangers
is also a Deeper Power for Unitarian Yinners
bilateral BothAnd winners;
so, a HigherYang/DeeperYin Power.

Then we come to the second source,
YangLife and YinDeath.
Now any fully bicameral balanced Unitarian-Universalist,
just as any Taoist,
knows there is always something of Yin within Yang
and vice versa.
Just as there is something of our daytime lives
in our nighttime dreams,
and sometimes our inductive dream work
presents bilaterally incisive insights
into next morning’s Tipping Point meditation
on and for and of the breathless balance
of ego- and eco-consciousness,
empathically trusting in healthy YangLife
and safety of exhaling final YinDeath,
leaving further climatic paradoxes
and coaxial dialectic nondualities
for future regenerations to sift through,
notice,
comprehend and decompose,
and then reweave again,
as full-octave light emerges from dark
so life emerges from embryonic death
the absence of discontinuous life at egocentric levels
posing both risk and opportunity
in wider and deeper nutritional Earth-centric becomings.

Finally, we have sacred texts,
the YangLogos and YinMythos of experience
reflected in the memory language of Wise Elders,
presumably filled with both Higher and Deeper Powers.

So, that’s it.
We have the Higher PatriarchalUniversalist Power
with the Deeper BiCameral Learning MatriarchalUnitarian Power
living and dying to WinWin nature-spirit nonduality together,
as written in the fusing-fractal DNA and RNA
of each sacred ecological phylogenically regenerative
and co-operative
reproductive rights and wrongs re-creation story.

Now the 3-Source trinitarian story takes us to the 7 Principles,
which some permaculturists would expand out to 12,
while spiraling octavists, and maybe sufis and artists, stop at 8,
but nature reweaves as a regenerative bilateral-fractal 4
seasons of health and safety regenerativity,
or cooperative ownership and self/other governance,
if you are a Yin-Unitarian NonZero-Sum economist
or a Yang-OneEarthClimate politician
or possibly even nondual BothAnd alive and growing
out your extending UU-Taoist family,
tribe,
species,
planet,
the wu wei in-between horizontal and vertical spacetimes
where Earth and Sun/Moon radiant Sky
nondually co-arise seeds,
trees,
and other bilateral root and branching health and safety systems
seeking both Higher and Deeper Powers
of reproductive
reweaving continuous life and discontinuous death,
sacred regenerative texts;
not to become confused with degenerative twitters.

Perhaps too redundantly,
and not quite octave-eloquently enough,
we have pictured Original Yang/Yin ReGenerative/DeGenerative CoArising Intent
as LeftBrain Patriarchal EgoDominant
with a preference for WinLose,
defined as Either-Or thinking
with fundamentalist vertical power hierarchical assumptions
that LeftElite will always remain conservatively On Top;
sort of Traditional MissionaryPosition Only,
by RightBrain’s way of matriarchal feeling.

AND, speaking of RightBrain as our inductive co-empathic Win/Win Flow
Matriarchal reverse bilateral double-bind notthis-notthat Both-And,
Elder Sacred Ecology Source,
rather like a WinWin Paradise
Great Archipelago Chain of Eden ReGenesis,
icon of Earth as WinWin creolizing Eco-Nest,
where archipelagic EcoSystems are regeneratively defined
as polypathic archetypes
for WinWin ecopolitical bicameral evolution
through revolution

The Christian-Taoist Stands Down

I was baptized as a Christian,
once or twice.
It’s not so much that the baptism ritual malfunctioned
in some series of unfortunate events;
It’s more like Taoism as my primary ecopolitical health system,
or religion,
or metaphysic,
or whatever kind of evolutionary,
perpetually eisegetical-hypothetical,
label you choose to slap on the box
you decide to keep me in,
was (0)Riginally Intended as an ego-hyphenated eco-system.

That works out well for creating hybrids of anything cultural:
Christian-Taoist,
Judeo-Taoist,
Islamic-Taoist,
Zen-Taoist, although that would be highly redundant,
Hindu-Taoist,
Zeroist-Taoist, although, again,
be prepared to fall asleep
as metaphysically orthodox ethologists debate
whatever there is of any phylogenic difference
between the Yang and Yin positions
within that notnothing nondual hybrid.

So, as a baptized Christian-Taoist,
it’s easier to see syncretic bridges between cultural faith-learning systems
with those who do use the Christian label for themselves
and with those who would adamantly declare their enthusiasm to be,
and always and forever remain,
anything but Christian.

I run into this a lot with atheists,
who are also climate health activists:

No! I’m not a capitalist-fundamentalist Christian EarthRaper,
I’m an Atheist,
always with a capital A,
or I’m a Unitarian Universalist,
although these are more like UnTheists,
or I’m a Humanist,
or a Wiki of some nature-spirit nondualist-feminist
matriarchally self-other cooperative empowering-with-not-over persuasion.

So, being a Taoist,
when speaking with a Christian ecologist,
just means I’m a not YangLeft Dominant
or YinRight Dominant
Ego/Eco climate-health balancing
charter member of the Bodhisattva MindBody of Christ.

Not meaning to make that sound like a cake walk,
but I’m saying my Taoist sensory awareness
of nutritionally regenerate v degenerating evolution
of internal LeftEgo
and external RightSacred-Integral Eco,
Yang-Yin EcoSystemic (0)-sum Balance,
is about as multiculturally
and polypathically
PermaCulturally Design-ish
of co-arising nondual Climate Health
as I’ve been able to hunt and gather
during my polypathically extending Positive Psychological family journey,
so ecopolitically WinWin far.

I’m a Christian-Taoist,
coredemptive learning cooperative economies
means I’m always politically open to nutritionally-intended suggestions
for further regenerativity.

Choosing Healthier PlayGrounds

What lies between extremes of boredom and bliss
for you
and those you most love to work and hang with?

If your Business As Usual day
sends messages within
redundantly reiterating how life is always coming too fast
too needy
too deprived of freedom’s more creative recreational climates,
seeking more keep it positive atmospheres,
then it may help to recall
you are choosing to see your time v Earth’s timing
as a little anemic Win
between and among a whole lotta Lose.

The alternatives depend on your choice of paradigm.
Abrahamic traditions speak of compassionately co-redemptive love
where Buddhists might choose Basic Attendance
to each now as just investment enough
to freely divest of in your co-arising next momentary exhale,
ebbing and flowing so inevitably between Empty (0) Now
and PolyPathically InterDependent Timeless Eternity
these Bodhisattva ecotherapists scarce could bother
with any irrational egocentric remainders
of fear and suffering transient loss.

A Game Theorist might recommend choosing only WinWin intentions
and orthopraxis,
as would a Positive Psychologist,
especially with both verbal and nonverbal,
and both internal and external, multicultural communication,
biosystemic with also organic ecosystemic healthy outcomes,
and not so much LoseLose entropic chaos;
game over.

A Pronoiac
from Beauty and Truth ReGeneration Laboratories,
might kindly laugh and empathize
yet also suggest
turning down your hallucinating paranoia,
rather like a head and body cold
picked up through superstitious enculturations
that learning lives are best played through condemning survivalism,
eat or become eaten economic evolution,
when all Earth’s regenerative evidence
proves the also contrary RightBrain balancing LeftDominance,
we are both what and whom we have most nutritiously
and transubstantially eaten,
speaking Left to Right to Left transliteratively, of course on course,

each emerging from deep listening learning
arts and sciences of Positive Health Attendance,

of not too Yang
inviting NotNot Yin’s flowing in and out
good bicamerally balancing Left/Right contenting humors,

Polypathic qualitative time
with polyculturally quantitative yummy space
bring nondual optimally regenerative outcomes,
without degenerative paranoid lost remainders,
also known as cognitive-affective dissonance, by psychologists
and would be communicators,

The WinWin choice over WinLose merely requires ecoconsciousness.
If biological capacity to yet breathe in remains a Win,
then the choice factor is all about remembering
what you breathe and act out

and of cooperative EgoYang/EarthYin-centric regenerate good investment.
If you choose to use your WinLose paranoia
to deep learn WinWin healthy wealthier nutritious outcomes,
breathing in both health and pathology,
to breathe nondual cooperative co-redemptive investment out again.

What lies between extremes of more boring egocentric competitions
and bliss of Earth Climate Health Yang-Rights
for bicamerally balancing you
and those you would already prefer to work and hang with?

Fundamentals Revisited

If it is a premise of fundamentalists,
whether Christian or Islamic or Devil Worshipers,
that Reason is bad, faith is good,
what could anyone reasonably say
that could not be unfaithful to good?

However, as I recall,
there is that oft-quoted Christian maxim
of Paul the Apostle:
faith without works is dead.
So there is good faith,
which works,
and bad faith,
which doesn’t.

So, if reason is bad
and good faith is discerned through good works,
then good work could only be unreasonable.
Yet I so doubt that a Carpenter from Nazareth,
or anyone who is trying to build anything positive
with cooperative and healthy intent,
would consider good outcomes unreasonable.

Why isn’t it more fundamental to believe that good faith produces good reason,
while bad faith leads to poor reason?
with poor, unredemptive outcomes,
ghettos of mystically terrified and terrifying despair
and anarchy of distrusts leading toward more ballistically active hatreds.

Why would any messiah worth the title teach otherwise?
Why isn’t this fundamental to Christianity?
Or, maybe it is but we have our language backwards.

Politically and economically cooperative and multiculturally inclusive Christians
are the hard working good faith fundamental
Basic Messianic Christians.
And, the pseudo-fundamentalist more rabid Evangelicals
are exercising their radically unreasonable absence of good co-messianic faith.

It amazes me about myself and those I love
that we have patiently tolerated this about face,
from “you will know them by their love”
to you will know them by their supremacist hate for other religions and cultures,
their self-congratulatory antipathy for communitarian political and economic beliefs,
their active mistrust of other racial and language characteristics,
other gender identities and proclivities and internal truths of good faith being
and integrative becoming.

If good faith without good works is radically dead,
then well-reasoned, healthy co-empathic trusting faith
is fundamental to ‘Earth’s multiculturing good faith systems,
like fertile seeds and eggs
growing into adult polypathic maturity.

Fundamentals of Radical Root Systems

I know fundamentalists
who confuse themselves with radical truth-tellers,
bedrock keepers of Allah/God/YHWH’s Timeless Orthodox Tradition.

Fundamentalists are, however
prejudicially supremacist
in their idolatry of their own monoculturally True Tradition/Scripture/Wisdom/Pathway.
Where radicals portentiously include
the entire multicultural-polypathic
green rainbow of permacultural Principles,
as a polyculturally open set of Truths,
fundamentalists mistake our bigoted and narrow-minded anthrocentric pretentiousness
for radical truths of portentiousness.

Where fundamentalists
(and I have my own narrow-blinded quirks)
are under illusions that all Others
worship false gods or,
even worse,
goddesses,
radicals tend to become lost in deep learning
esoteric fractals of crystal-radiant-elational enlightenment,
hypnotized by our own majestically divine capacities
to create anthrocentric metaphysical cultural ideals,
(0)-centrist bilateral primal metric-iconic abstractions,
diversely rooted in our own regenerative story,
yet known as Principles of EcoSystemic PermaCultural Development
and Creation Mythic Stories,
fundamental, yet polypathic,
cooperative radical empathic trust of synergetics,
Mother Earth’s Medicine Cards
within seasonal solar-astronomic,
even climatic, atmospheres.

It doesn’t get any more humanely divine than Father Sun
and Holonic ReGenerative EarthSpirit
of Organic CoMessianic GiftItForward CoEvolving Mutually-Nutritional Communion-EcoSystems.
We are children of Father Sun and Mother Earth’s

of what is Islamic-normative
to be fully human
to become a man
worthy of our Splendid Sisters.

Author’s note:

Perhaps it is just me, and, if so, then I am about to expose my embarrassingly remedial ignorance once again. But, ISIS and all the “Islamic” hatred and anger of which they have become iconic, feels like an overwhelmingly young to middle-aged male dominated late adolescent cultural gasp reacting against the comparative freedom and wisdom of  a cooperative and egalitarian society with emergent strong polycultural values, whether tribal, or nationally, or even religiously, labeled.

If so, then perhaps Islamic women will peacefully engage their own cooperative internal revolution, speaking honestly and bravely and truthfully to their brothers, even their husbands, but probably not their fathers. That could get a girl killed in some unfortunate places where Allah’s sense of inclusive faithfulness and solidarity as sacred Host feels climatically absent in this suffering time.

Allah and Buddha were Talking

You know what I think sometimes?
said Allah to Buddha,
Of course you do
and yet you don’t.

I think I gave this gift of language
because you have a uniquely humanatured gift
of comprehending
and transposing
and translating languages thru-out each and all Earth tribes,
but primally amongst your anthro-Allah loving selves.

Buddha thinks
we under-invest using this cooperatively intended gift
to speak clearly
and honestly
with candid integrity
about what “I need”
and what “I really do not need more of,
or any longer.”

Perhaps at work
in your vocation
you get along fairly confluenty,
most folks act professionally
and politically
and socially
and economically
and ecologically
and healthily correct.

Yet, notice
next time
perhaps even within yourself,
within your family,
with your spouse,
with your kids
especially with those teenagers,
how much time do we invest
prattling happily
and sometimes ranting unhappily along
about what we want or wish for,
don’t want and would never care to see
or hear
again;
now compare to your investment
conversing about what you most need
and what you most critically,
yet also chronically,
most specifically do not need
in your healthy intended and practiced life,
and in your death-trending non-life
of falsely wealthy abundance.

We might turn to our professional colleague at work
say “I could use a cup of coffee.”
but we would probably never say,
“I need more stimulants in my system
or this situation will put me to sleep.”

We might say to our oppositionally obsessed daughter,
“If you throw that one-eyed Zoe doll down the stairs again
in the middle of this clunky throbbing night,
you can predict her immediate demise
in the trashcan of life!!!”
but seldom think to say
“I need for us to figure out a less alarming way
for you to wake me
when you need my attention.”

Why are we more comfortable
telling our life partners,
“I don’t feel like it tonight”
and less comfortable adding,
“but a back and foot and scalp massage would be heaven.”

Seems like we would all be somewhat healthier
wealthier
and wiser
if we were more articulate
about our bodies’ “need” language
while less reductively focused on
our little ego’s cognitive “want”
“don’t want” messages.

And, for that matter,
Allah adds
it might be nicer
if your national and global political conversations
followed this same trend
of ecological body integrity
with Buddha-mind communication patterns.

Rather than
“If you keep killing those innocent victims,
I’m going to spank you
and starve you.”
as if you had not had quite enough of both
rather than co-mentored love,
what about,
“I do not need you to lead us toward more death.
I do need you to do what we elected
and supported
and expected you to do,
to facilitate positive health and wealth trends
for me
and all Earth’s Tribes,
for life,
and all Time’s incarnating needs for health right now,
through future’s timeless generations,
positively trending outcomes
rooted in needs and not needs,
not-so-much about what you want
and don’t want
for your small-minded exclusive future.”

Our global Buddha body,
Earth as Sanghakaya
multisystemic incarnational economics of ecojustice,
evolves religious and cultural sanity
screaming for cooperative healing
while speaking PC
through appropriate channels
how nice we could all be
through competing for wealth
by following Allah’s nature and nation-building rules
of healthy reason,
inclusive organic seasons without threat of treason.

Our bodies need to compete cooperatively
even more than our minds want
to cooperatively compete.

How could we incarnate

economic or psychic wealth and health
not eco-logically balanced,
positively trending toward “beloved”
or “climax”
wealthy-health nutritional optimization
meeting Continuous Quality Improvement
Permacultural Standards
of Positive Design
and universally-uniting Development?

And, even if we could,
Buddha body would hate it
and Western mind
would disrupt into further cognitive-reductive dissonance,
rather than this emerging eco-consciousness
of Allah’s incarnate mind.

On Labor and Capital

I am struck this morning by the confluence of a hugely compelling “Security” question as the U.S. moves into Labor Day.  So, please forgive what begins tangentially, but I do move to an underlying cultural change observation by way of this “Labor” and “Capital” exploration.
I suspect that Capitalism is no more the opposite of Socialism or “Sharia Law Tribalism” than it is opposed to reorganizing as a globally cooperative Information-based economy.
Capitalism is simply a historical-cultural mistake of reductionism.  More specifically, “wealth” became reduced to the value of human enterprise, production, and financial measurement.  Capital, physical assets, wealth, has its place and role, but it is not the whole story, or even most of the “Labor” and economic story.
There is also value (though currently less amenable to measurement) in learning, in information, in communicating effectively and inclusively, in loving, in goodness, in beauty, in nurturance, in caregiving, in discovering a new truth or insight, in enlightenment, in “spirituality.”
Capital came to monopolize economic value, in the Western hemisphere, with the advent of “Industry” severed from vocation, “Empire” or “Nation” severed from culture. “Capital” severed from its Value-root has fed the devolution of feminist culture, leaving three exorbitantly expensive evolutionary scars.
1.  Empire-building is the de-valuation and displacement of aboriginal communication and communities, discounted as not rational and uncivilized.  Older, smaller scale, aboriginal cultures assume highest values are found in organically fused (“permaculture”) local communities.  Empire-building led to the ownership of, thereby power-marginalized, aboriginal cultures.
2. Slavery, historically speaking, was male imperialist ownership of de-valued aboriginal people, violently disrupted from their organic human communities and cultural/communication systems.  Vestiges remain, and these contemporary versions remain male-over-female dominating power structures.
3.  The emergence of post-industrialized “child welfare” systems de-value the relationship between our species’ nurturers and their children.  This results in the  forced disruption of primordial and neural-based communication, and considerable trauma to a vulnerable and marginalized population.
Perhaps this “Great Turning” moment, turning from historical precedent to a more inclusive global dia-logos about our shared cultural roots, potentiates a “PermaCultural Awakening,” fueled by our unprecedented globally inclusive communication potential, to recapture “feminist” aspects of our value culture that include species diversity and male-female, or Yang-Yin, equilibrium.
That was a very long and dense sentence.  Nevertheless, it is my hope and prayer on this Labor Day that we can communicate our globally shared vision.
I imagine living in a U.S. culture that celebrates “Vocation Day,” inclusive of Labor;
“Nurturance Day,” inclusive of Mothers;
“Interdependence Day,” inclusive of Independence and Freedom and Security;
“Creativity Day,” inclusive of Christmas,
“Regeneration Day,” inclusive of Easter,
“New Seasons Day,” inclusive of New Years,
“Visioning Day,” inclusive of Memorial,
“Gratitude Day,” inclusive of Thanksgiving,
“Mentors Day,” inclusive of Presidents,
and maybe even the perennial kids’ favorite “Enlightenment Day,” inclusive of Halloween.
While I am reweaving what has been torn asunder, please forgive me the further hubris of suggesting some of these  Days might be more significantly thought of as “Sharia-Analogic” global celebrations, more significantly than U.S. “legal” holidays.
Labor and Capital have not failed our economic prosperity.  This Transitional Moment is about re-connecting them to their deep cultural roots.  Globally cooperative species-vocations, analogic structures of inclusive dialogue, and richly inclusive values potentially mature our vast and stunning diversity toward a sustainably balanced global PermaCulture.
That would be my idea of Security, sustainable Labor, and, yes, Sharia Paradise.
