During my final semester the President’s Office announces that Dr. (0)-Liver Glory is to be our commencement speaker. I am surprised and also surprised to have this come without any prior involvement in the decision. I am surprised that Uncle Ollie hasn’t even mentioned this as a possibility; that s/he assumes I want to live in her shadow on my big college graduation day.

I doubt I would feel so conflicted if anyone had bothered to solicit my support, or lack thereof. Regardless, it did remind me of when he made an unusually non-disruptive appearance at my high school graduation, as I rhetorically cast my philosophical spell across the valedictorian benediction, a lofty from-above farewell to fellow pilgrims along gainful information’s way.

He congratulates me on my speech. Not quite as elated as I had hoped, but maybe I only felt that twinge of disappointment later, after he advised me, as late June shadows stretched out across banks of now nearly empty chairs on the football field, to ignore most of the competitive economic and political assumptions shoveled out before, during, and immediately after Commencement. His response to my benediction is his own meditation on leaves and their embryonic seeds. “Your memory of life’s Trees of Good and Not-So-Much will fill in over time.”

Perhaps I had not demonstrated sufficient focus, because Uncle Ollie elaborated at the podium in Vermont as I sat among the ranks about to wander forth.

“The leaf is God of Fertility, photosynthesis, transubstantiation of light into healthy nutrition. The forest’s favored golden nut becomes Elder Mother EarthTribe’s sacred-embryonic scriptural Creation Story of healthy regenerative life, predicting our PostMillennial Tree of Healthy Good and True as wealthy cooperative eco-political Beauty.”

“This natural political truth as economic beauty, together emerging each life’s development ecology is already written within our genetic heritage. Our DNA/RNA ReGeneration Story predicts self-perpetuating polycultural development outcomes, both in our dreams, and living within sun’s photosynthetically nutritional enlightenment era.”

I am not the only one to doze off as s/he feels lost in remembering primordial permacultural language development. Whether s/he withdrew up on the stage, or I in my chair, or all of us cocooned into our pre-festive exhaustion, feeling constrained by English norms, relationships of similarity and difference between leaf nutritional functions and embryonic seed forms, folds and unfold strictures, instructions, fractal regenerative, dialectical syntax…

Until the only human voice available speaks from early Evolutionist Prophets, name dropping Bucky Fuller, Julian Jaynes, Thomas Kuhn, Karl Popper, Andrew Cohen, all foretold by LaoTse, Dr. (0)-Liver’s most beloved humorist of life’s ecobalancing WuWei.

(0)-Liver was fascinated with prehistoric permacultural designs and dialects of iconic language, rhythms, geometric patterns as symbols for natural events.

Sun rays represent light, but also language distinctions such as goodness, bright, beauty, medicine, therapy, health, bounty, power with love, held together by Sun’s fueling embryonic relationship to Earth’s birth, flowering as EarthTribe ecoconsciousness, captured in RNA/DNA Identity Solidarity.

RNA/DNA Solidarity was already a PreMillennial stretch of (0)-Liver’s deductive-academic imagination. But, Glory’s further political ecology of solidarity as cooperative synergy with ectosymbiotic natural functions was well before her pre-revolutionary time.

S/he had no audience for this too-eisegetically subjective/intuitive line of conjecture. No resonance, as she might have said, and, in fact, did say in the privacy of her own backyard.

Here, in her holy of holies, s/he spoke and listened with her beloved birds, earthworms, trees. This was the solidarity of ecological communication of which s/he not-so-resonantly spoke with other of us humans during her PreMillennial era.

Glory’s self-prescribed ecotherapy, during her more retiring, eremitic Taoist (0)-Liver reincarnation, was to breathe and bathe and dream in permacultural bicameral designs, balancing Yang as Yin prime-Zero square-rooted EcoMetric-Iconic Language; his Left healthy Interior Language with her Elder RightBrain polypathic Exterior RNA-praxis of regeneratively healthy development, measured in time invested within sunlight.

When (0)-Liver Glory wrote of love, s/he was more likely to be sitting outside her home, on backyard deck cushions, drenched in sunscreen, following the shade-lines as they crossed her organic edible and ornamental gardens.

Uncle Ollie had this theory, well…not really even a well-defined hypothesis, but more of a hunch of some kind, that Vitamin D, which isn’t really even a vitamin, is as important to normal daytime experience as sleep is to healthy nighttime processing of experience.

These two gestalts, outdoors in RNA-predominate environments and indoors interior endosymbiotic dream consciousness, speaking to and with each other in confluent voices and dialects of ecological analogy.

Sometimes s/he would veer off into sunlight compared to moonlight, ergodic rhythms and patterns with revolving ionic synergy, sharing fractal as double-bound octave frequencies of color as sound and pitch and tone direction. This diversionary string s/he preferred to keep hidden, if only because s/he wasn’t sure of its polypathic merit, in proportion to its threat of self-declared madness.

And yet, in more subdued moments, on a beach, or walking along the river behind her home, s/he invested more leisurely time ruminating aloud about the evils and the goods of human shelter. Great for inclement weather; not so great for warm no-rain weather relationships.

S/he feared our over-developed domestication was leading to negative correlational under-development, suboptimization of healthy natural relations between RNA-scripted and DNA organic balanced humanity. Most shelters invited daytime outdoor activity, because outdoors felt like a more comfortable alternative than dark and dank interiors. But, as this turned into shelters looking out over concrete and asphalt at other two-story on up to high-rise structures, blocking not only sensory communication with Earth’s soil, but also light and sky and breeze, then our sense of political health began to unravel from our lifestyle wealth; our basic economic wealth no longer rediscovered each day as our ecologically sheltered and unsheltered mental and physical health. “Overly domesticated enculturation—neither healthy nor sustainable.”

By now this self-analytical Left mindbody lens grows thin
imagining dualistic cultural dominance,

rationally defaulting to either-or assumptions

Which seems to merge natural with spiritual,
co-functional ecological paradigms of temporal-dialectical analysis,
networking through (0)-sum economic and political cooperative-regenerate
functional potentialities for me,
my struggling and also loving-listening family,
and my neighborhood,
town,
State,
our BioRegional Network CoOperative
of WinWin Positive-Balanced
strategic optimization of health’s internal as external climate adjustments
toward truer-healthier Yang/Yin EcoCentric Balance.

I still work toward hearing political and economic love-potential
through loud and dissonant, sometimes wild and downright ugly,
voice within my own richly diverse extending muticultural families.
What might I do that could actually please all sixteen
of my grandparents grandparents?
AND, all our current grandchildren’s future grandchildren,
nearly regardless of species,
although I do harbor some prejudices again overly aggressive and thorny brambles,

This backyard outdoor therapeutic time
speaks more clearly through Earth’s patient Love Development Languages,

logos of Earth’s revolving nutrient-rich dipolar light
as notnot equivalent
binomially TransParent YinYin
EcoConscious BiCameral Light.

Here, embryonically swimming in warm organic early June’s DeLight,
fluttering yang/yin breathing leaves of forest waves
scenting pollen’s fertile fresh scent,
Yang love Yin loves Yang,
much more contenting
then Yang dominates Yin recesses bipolar-oppositional-defiant;
projecting future eco-not-so-logical climate changes
of a revolutionary traumatic EarthBound Nature,

Now if we could grow stronger love inside the house
to smell and feel and sound more reminiscent
of this outdoor song and dance party,
perhaps I might have more to offer my neighbors,
especially the edibles and ornamentals,

quite often fails to distinguish.

a female robin just stopped by

Seeking purposive meaning for life and beauty and love
feels like trying to gratefully worship a transcendent God
outside myself,
outside my responsibilities,
relationships,
outside my political and economic authority,
outside my friends and enemies,

Yet, all I can know of this outsideness
is absence, loss, death, dismay, abandonment, neglect, violence

I wonder what distinctions between Yang’s Eros and Yin’s Agape
lie within this my love’s perfection Son?
His responses to life’s variables and constants
remain both uninformed by,
and therefore unrestricted by,
love’s metaphysical abstractions
about what our relationship could look and feel and smell and taste like tomorrow
that would distinguish imagined differences
from how we feel together today.

This perpetual youth of love’s human incarnation
cannot age and learn and develop into diffusion
and dissonance of his body’s response to Eros-Yang
and his mind’s resonance with Agape-Yin Self with Yin-Other
primal WinWin love relationship.

My nondually both kind and unkind Taoist Master Son,
icon of coarising Eros/Agape,

enculturing love of yet more synergetic organic healthy love,
as best he can recover this Golden Fleece of internal/external climate balance.

Excerpts from Synergetic Symposia

I recall one of those rare college visits with Uncle Ollie. Actually, as I recall, I had just finished my undergraduate years in Vermont, and was on my way south and west on an internship pilgrimage, to see what and whom might feel right for me.

We had been discussing political science as analogically equivalent with permaculture design. He thought the only substantial difference between what each had promise of becoming was whether we were discussing network relationships between DNA-biosystems only, or interrelationships of DNA with Elder RNA.

We pause, drawn into our silence together. Then he asks me how I see him. “Who am I to you?”

I can’t think how to respond, other than as Uncle Ollie. He doesn’t seem to fit into any category that comes to mind. I can see Mummins, which was a term that began together behind her back, but then came out of its closet, usually to her amused, more playful, response. I could see Mummins in Uncle Ollie, but something more ambivalent too, defying my capacity to label.

In my silence he offered, “I see myself as an intelligent old man-woman who is curious, but also timid, about death as the absence of egocentric memory and identity.”

“I see an old man doing his best to invest his remaining healthy time in Earth’s remaining healthy time. Urging co-investment in our EarthTribe’s remaining healthy time. So, yes, I try for expanding my compassion into ecologically, politically, economically cooperative healthy development, Exterior community landscape Plan A, meeting and greeting and doing my best Plan B Interior personal landscape, until Plan B becomes nothing more or less than a mirror of Plan A.”

“Other than the old man part. I see you this same way, doing your best to adapt your relationships (political) and your transactions (economic) to your ecological exegesis of DNA’s natural ecosystemic story, logos, mythos, permacultural designs, social-political science.”

That was when I first realized that I see Uncle O-Liver as an old wise transgenderish polypathic listening and loving icon of deep ecological learning history. History about which I too have always found mysterious and perhaps even a sacred side of Earth’s ecosystemic Regenerative = HumanelyCooperative Design.

Strange. He asks me how I see him to show me how he sees me. Or maybe not. Perhaps he really does invite some feedback from my PostMillennial future. I hope so. That’s most certainly what he has coming, as do we all, I guess.

0-Liver’s lifestyle was far too ambiguous to say he was a Democrat or a Republican, or even a Libertarian or Green, although those latter two, together, may have been closer to his view that Earth’s evolutionary evidence points to a political science of active love-synergy as CoOperatism, like economic and political socialism, except using our global networking capacity to reverse power hierarchies toward cooperative decision-making authority at the lowest level of ecosystemic responsibility for each other, and ourselves, of course.  And, even responsibility for each other as mutually subsidiary-cooperative sharers in Earth’s Plan A ReGenerative economy and politically deep ecology of health and eco-therapeutic safety.

“You know, health, happiness, prosperity for all of Earth’s ReGenerating Tribes and ecosystems? The stuff of which our Elders established constitutions of cooperative economic and political intent?”

It was neither his intent or desire to start yet another political “non-party” as he called them. Across the board, combining all paradigms, areas of expertise and deductive specialization, across all this vast metaphysical complexity of languages and dialects, he argued for a Commons of Health-As-Wealth Value, often rather too passionately for the comfort of his academic colleagues.  “We already have all the information, precedent, evidence for cooperatively sustainable evolution through ecological balance we could ever hope to achieve, using (0)-sum and –centric Fullerian Synergetics.”

During his one and only debate as U.S. Senate candidate, the incumbent asked him, “Isn’t this zeroistic cooperativism you attribute to Buckminster Fuller’s political philosophy actually just a cover for your own Taoist hidden agenda?”

“Well, yes and no,” Uncle Ollie responds. “Yes, if anyone residing in Connecticut remains unaware of my own Taoist way of exegeting history and cultural evolution. But, no, for those who see Fullerian Synergism as ecologically equivalent with Taoist nondual dipolar Zeroism.”

Apparently, he scored alright with that response, perhaps a bit too ahead of his time. But, not so far ahead that everyone assumed he was as insane as Donald Trump, but in the opposite direction.

Anyway, I don’t think CoOperativism or nondual Taoist ZenZeroism, or even Fullerian Synergy lost that election, but it wasn’t yet enough to win it either.

Now, of course, these basic principals of thermodynamic permacultural design are facilitated and reinforced throughout our deep ecology learning systems, on line, in homeschools, and in what’s left of the premillennial Education-As-If-All-Earth’s-Lives-Matter preschools through universities.

One could hardly become a political scientist today, or a public policy designer, much less a popularly elected public office-holder outside a personal and professional commitment to DNA with Elder RNA co-intelligent design of healthy bio- and ecosystems.

History, according to 0-Liver Glory, begins with the “Word.” Influenced by Christian wisdom literature, but with his/her own twist. That is, yes, history is our story of  relationship but not just any relationship. Rather, history is the story of relationships between analogies, exegesis of eisegetical ecologies, of sound and dialectical events, of symbol and reenactment.

Analogy, then, precedes logic, or rationality. Pre-linguistic history was attraction of relationships to what felt good, what appeared beautiful, graceful, to what sounded confluent, melodious, harmonic. So, wisdom’s connection to beauty and goodness is primordial to wisdom’s connection to Truth, and even metric systems.

Although he agreed with Pythagoreans that older than linguistic history was the evolutionary emergence of culture, the earliest story-telling and legend-building of collective memory was probably kinetic communication, forms of dance, embellished with humming, chanting, singing, signing symbols that evolved into rituals. From rituals to sacraments. From sacraments to metric symbols. From metrics, including geometrics, symbols evolved toward linguistically-rooted icons.

Immortality of cultural history emerges through co-creative intimacy, confluence as well as dissonance. Tribal fame becomes synergetic accessibility and vulnerability within each moment’s integrative opportunity to share meaning and purpose.

If time is money
then time is capital
so maybe healthy time could also become capitalized wealth.
If money is a token of time’s value
and capitalism commodifies time’s human value,
then human values commodify equitable,
as well as more competitive, investments
in Self and Others
as Earth’s EcoTribal Cooperative.

Capitalism of wealth distorts cooperativism,
healthy political and economic balance.
Like its anthrocentric enculturing fuel,
capitalism diverts human evolution toward accumulating tokens of value
rather than developing ever deeper and wider relationships,
transactions with health as wealth enhancing outcomes.

A form of idolatry,
capitalism substitutes quantitative commodity
where once lived stronger-rooted qualitative values
within our co-evolving EarthTribe Commons.

Capitalism is economic totalitarianism,
ruling over cooperatively healthy values
made possible by our historical monocultural devolution
wherein ego-nomics dominates eco-nomics,

as revolutionary longing for equity predicts evolutionary belonging
within mutuality, equity, integrity, rather than disengaged ownership,
commodification of biosystemic value,
hubris of domestication,
proprietary distortions of perpetual balancing wu wei
midway between human ego-anthro centric nature
and EarthTribal ecosystemic nature
of SpaceTime’s evolving-revolving light-dark nurturing nutritional values.

Capital and life invested in social political and economic-ecological cooperation
produces healthier outcomes for Earth, human nature, and ego natures.
A reverse corollary,
ego’s competitive investment in accumulation of capital,
commodities,
owning and controlling,
powering over our mutually-held investment in Earth’s redolent evolution,
interdependent, integral integrity of healthy values,
produces short-term monocultural gains
coarising long-term polycultural losses of healthy wealth.

None of this implies that capitalism,
or competition or wealth accumulation,
is intrinsically evil.
All of this intends to counterbalance each of these with elements
too systemically suppressed for sustainable viability
of individual egos and social anthrosystems,
and Earth’s ecosystems.
We are now growing more cooperative health investment,
equity of both time (what we do with our days and minds and bodies)
and money
to nondually coarise Earth’s great and small transactional,
transitional,
transformative futures.
