Therapeutic Democracy

Democracy is what we do
and breathe together
to empower ourselves.

Some would say the same of prayer
and holy communion
and secular communication
and healthy relationships.

Democracy seems like an empowering experience
of equality and interdependence
before it became an anti-royalist political philosophy.

Which may serve as a humbling reminder
that great abstract theories
so left-brain universally fascinating
derive from whole mindbody experience
of individual egos,
healthy or other-unwise.

If no ego-experience,
then no ecosystemic consciousness
of democracy
or autocracy
or kleptocracy
or plutocracy
or capitalocracy
or theocracy
or patriarchacy
or even warm accompanying matriarchacy.

Multiculturing democracy,
a hybrid of egalitarian aspirations
and interdependent respirations,
requires organized
stable
win/win ego/theo-logical communication,
ecological relationships.

Disorganized communication
is an oxymoron,
like enriching divestment
and disturbing attachment
and democratic capitalism
and resilient win/lose compassion.

Democracy is what we win/win breathe
do
develop together
to empower egohealth
and wealthy ecosystems.

New Year Masquerade

For what manner of beast,
sad creature,
mad monster,
deeply dark angel east,
does everyday accompaniment
seed cold contempt
instead of bleeding warm sacred resonance?

Should beloveds
not expect to grow in sublime stature
not despite, but for humored respite, flirtatious flaws,
fallen fractured nature, merely human
after and before All.

Divine epiphany,
fully-flowered gods and holy-climaxed goddesses
relinquishing anti-divine powers
redundantly secularized,
now old bad not-news,

Flaws adored
because of these robust fractures
of opportunity
to remind Belovers:

Silent patience bleeds compassion
heading toward disgust,
self-shaming,
other-blaming
for missed transcendent mindful bliss

Of anima–
dark animal angel nature

Away from all this daily mundane muck,
life not as love would design us
but Earth’s timeless generations
have invited each of holy us
uniquely to let go of contemptuous patience
with ourselves and other-selves,
ego-beings and eco-becomings

To grab hold of sublimely sacred nature
here in this deep dark in-between place.

Here
where human nature grows most profligate
and naked
and vulnerably courageous

To consider all missing facts
of life most fully considered
and love regardless
as if each sacred absent moment,
each transitioning year,
were our health wealthiest last
and final 20/20 revision

Since we first sacred emerged
into social
and cultural
and eco-political light,
divine and mundane,
sublimely sacred and routinely worthy
of good-humored contempt,

And,
most cutting double-edge of all,
this curiously courageous humane nature
spiritually in-between
already old
and reasonably new

Empires
and masquerading inspirations.

Therapeutic Touch

I would not defend inappropriate touching,
whether this touching is physically toxic
or verbally violent,
aggressive,
contemptuous,
beyond the pale of ego-healthy assertive,
reducing political economic subjects
to personal objectives.

Inappropriate touching
becomes much too toxic
in absence of therapeutic touching
of individual egos
and communal economic
eco-logical cooperative relationships.

I would speak out
reach out
listen to hearts and lungs and guts and minds and bodies
networks and systems and energy climates for appropriate touching,
physically therapeutic
care-giving as win/win compassioned care-receiving,
verbal warm accompaniment,
harmony-seeking,
felt resonance,
within our non-violent communication pale
of eco-wealthy communion,
LeftBrain empowering
and RightBrain enlightening

Further vast expanses
of spacetime positive touching,
energy exchange,
nutritional relationships

Resonant organic-balancing Earth,
Ego-felt and Eco-touching Resilience.

Wealthy 2020 Climates

What do I mean
when I struggle to define my vocation
as a Climate Activist?

How am I anxious
and how might I more positively
anticipate?

An Activist,
hoping for resilient interrelationship
and resonant communication equity,
feedback and forth loops,
is, first, a listening contemplative,
Reflector,
Meditator,
EgoTherapeutic Investor.

We listen
not only with and for egalitarian balance,
non-violent communications,
compassionate cooperative therapies,
democratic relationships of warm appreciation,
but also with and for multicultural win/win input
predicting robust health
of dynamic climate outcomes.

But, what could we mean
by longing for a more sacred Climate?
Green organic outside,
red-blooded holistic nutrition inside.

Climate may be habitat
and energy system,
healthy when not only democratically egalitarian
but also inclusively,
organically interdependent,
like networks of self/other-regenerating systems.

Climates,
ecological and neurological,
outside and inside,
seek healthy harmonies,
musical muses,
liturgical dancers
cast by revolving Earth
and revolutionary peace-trusting EarthTribes,
spinning in-between Sun and Moon,
external and internal win/win orbits
of light and dark,
health and pathology,
love and hate,
communication and dissociation,
relationship and segregation,
rightbrain intersectionality and leftbrain either/or reductive apartheid,
yinflow both/and yang-strength.

In this uneven
unresolved
LastDay
eternally timeless moment
of 19 year old anxiety, for non-elite youthful listeners,
of anticipation, for seasoned polypath poets
and priests,
polyphonic preachers
and multi-theistic teachers
and Climate Activist polycultural prophets

Unfolds tomorrow’s Alpha 2020 Day
of democratic energy optimization,
equally and interdependently heard system inside
before resiliently and resonantly felt
before spoken
with universal
transparently substantial
gratitude,
2020 outside,
secular/sacred ReMembering.

2020 Roaring Constitutional ReConstructions

Alan Simpson,
a Wyoming Republican,
not known for his socialist ways
nor his sacred communion means of public discourse,
cried out in our Great Dark Night
of white bold
and climate cold
fragility,

“Money’s dominance over politics
isn’t merely one problem of many
our country faces.
It is the problem!”

Perhaps neither Wyoming
Republicans
or Alan Simpson
would mind this contextual paraphrase,

Capitalism’s competitive
LeftBrain cultural and educational systemic dominance
against healthy multicultural empowering politics
isn’t merely one complex problem
of many win/lose communication complications
our 2020 Species faces,

Yet does not RightBrain see
as absence of WinLeft/WinRight cultural
and climate
intersectional wisdom.

We have become LeftBrain predative
partisan capitalists;
THE win/lose,
degenerating toward lose/lose economic-political
climate problems
of either/or partisanship,
religious fundamental bipolar creeds of elitist bad faith,
tolerant of secularized apartheid

Devoid of sacred active win/win hope
for organic ecological theology
or theologically health-metaphoric
muse-metaphonic
music-polyphonic
harmonic metapathic
resonant polypathic
resiliently co-empathic
co-passionate ego/ecology.

All of which
strangely reduces Alan Simpson’s original version
to a summary democratic constitution
condensed milk of RightBrain both/and flexible resonance
urgently, yet more warmly,
seeking health/wealth rememory
regrowing out and in climate cultures
toward expanding win/win global family.

humane sinners,

redeemed by hearing divine sainted voices,

Stories Are Not Songs

But songs are a musical story.

I know a difference
between telling a story
and voicing these same lyrics
of anxiety and ease,
of bearing and healing injustices,
medicine for well-earned peace.

I feel a difference
between progressive story telling,
between historically accurate autobiography,
and singing cultural passion narratives,
felt experiences,
perennial sensory moments
of nutrition and starvation,
light and dark,
health and pathology,
resilience and fragility,
privilege and responsibility,
resonance and ongoing anxiety,
harmony and yet mystery,
acceptance and hidden avoidance,
integrity, yet irritating dissonant echoes
either empowering verbs
or neither un-nouned knowns
win/lose explicating with shy win/win implications

Why grateful Yes!
suggests, more hesitantly Not Not Yet?

Being, yet still becoming
Left with indigenously
endemically
regeneratively curious Right
earned ease.

I know a difference
does not mean I can make sense of it.

Something Borrowed

My grandmother often advised
“no need to borrow trouble.”

My grandmother-in-law warned
“you don’t need to look for trouble
because it will find you,”
which seems a better fit
with my own experience
with actively soliciting trouble,

Disempowering investments
purchased at lowest ego-cost
for discounted risky value,
or borrowed,
when too broke to buy
and too disempowered
to even hope for owning
what cannot be virtuously purchased,
free of trouble,
cooperatively empowered–
like healthy relationships
and resonant communications
and bicameral political well-being.

I hope it is also true,
as I might share with my grandchild,
“you need not hope to individually own
or merely borrow
any discounted empowerment,
because positive powers will find you.”

With the current national Republican leadership
borrowing
and purchasing,
heavily investing in political neglect of public health care,
mental health care,
personal and public
bicameral imbalance,
climate fragility
dissonant across all divided hemispheres,

The troubling opposite
of restorative peace and justice,
new green economic and ecological win/win strategies
for global energy democracy and beauty,
for nutritional resonance and resilience,

I might at least hope
future generations,
including my grandchild,
look in a wealthier
more ego/ecotherapeutic direction
for borrowing
and cooperatively investing
in co-empowerment.

In this body
in which I healthy live

And, in this economic class
in which I study comparative social investments,
some more belligerently competitive,
others reassuringly warm culture cooperative,

We use these health v pathology discernment tools,
experiences,
memories,
images,
predictions,
investment histories,
to understand how we are publicly
and privately committed
to our nutrition nurturing environments
within sacred Earth,
how we secularly are with ecological relationships
violently and non-violently communicated,
competitively ZeroSum debated
and cooperatively NonZeroSum,
plus emergent ecosystemic health multipliers, discussed,
commissioned by alien transcendent, yet fragile, Divinities
communioned by and through EarthMother’s
recycling strings of recombinant DNA.

In this ecologically relational
and economic health body
in which I live,
I cannot hear your communications
as irrelevant to my racial characteristics,
my financial value history
as commodified
in U.S. currency,

In liquid
and frozen
and over-heated assets
and environmental liabilities,
because these are germane to our power assessment
of me as an individual,
within a non-extended monocultural Republic,
And an extended polycultural Species,

Sharing this sacred ecological network
of interdependent organic systems
often green and brown and black
and red and blue
shades of light and shadow
multicultural sanctuary felt
and octave hues and tones remembered
as MotherEarthCentric warm moist memories,

Iconic Source
of all wombed health,
EarthMother resonant wealth
