Silent UnPrivileged Stories

When I was a Big Brother
for Jason,
an African-American 10 year old male,
we went into his apartment
so he could look around
for a long overdue library book.

As I accompanied him
from room to sparsely furnished room,
looking in nearly vacant closets,
the only book we found
was a phone book,
looking silently neglected
much more than actively abused.

My first white male privileged
feelings about his Mom
had to do with blaming her
for probably not even feeling ashamed
for her irresponsible choices
while economically and politically administering
their bookless house
in this pre-WWW information age.

But, then I began asking questions.
What could Jason tell me
about his Mom’s life
when she was his age?

What were stories
familiar to her,
or retold
or experienced
and re-experienced,
therapeutic or traumatic?

Through this widening narrative moment
of multigenerational conjecture,

I also learned to question
what traumatic straight white male stories
are experienced by gay
and bisexual
and transsexual 10-year-olds,
regardless of racial identification,

And by 10-year-old girls,
perhaps regardless of racial identification,
or even further amplified
by being doubly,
and silently, outside
straight white patriarchal privilege.

I found myself
incapable of briefly imagining
much less deeply,
unflinchingly contemplating
the trauma
of growing up poor
and lesbian
and black or brown
or too red
or too yellow
without any books
or stories,
or retold
or experienced
about how her 10-year-old life will matter,
could be healthy, someday,
would ever be felt safe,
unless held shamefully silent,

Not appropriate material
for books
or retelling
or experiencing straight
male dominant stories,
and political narratives
about retributive trauma
and not multicultural
democratically inclusive therapy.


I Would Like To Listen More

I would like to hear
with no urgent need to speak
and to respond
without reacting,

I would like to hear
your experience with faith and faithless communities,
and atheistic,
and secular believers
and unbelievers,
communal investment positive
and fear and anger
flight and fight negative,
and pathological,
and dissonant.

And I would like to hear the same
about political power experience,
and non-partisan,
green democratic
and libertarian republican,
and more peacefully resonant
green new deal ecopolitical parties
and win/win games of cooperative discussion
and win/lose strategies of capital-headed competitions.

And I would like to share
our hopes and dreams
of future faith cooperative ownership
and empowerment party management
for public healthy climate resonance
and private wealthy resilience,

I would like to hear us sing
for our win/win democratic cooperative suppers,
expressed in liturgical dance,
unrepressed fire circles
impressing nature/spirit bicamerals
locally through globally contagious
listening cameras.

I would invite us to share
where we have been
and where we would like to journey together
for our own health
and climate resonance,
And so our children
and grandchildren
and their children
will look lovingly back on us
gathered here this and future days
to claim their shared health inheritance,

“In their lunch space
and climate public residential time
of great unraveling,

They didn’t just eat together,
they dined smart
and swallowed multicultural grace
until so full of wealthy health
they learned to sing and dance
to pray and play
to faith and power
our way
toward this very resilient
right/left bilateral
warm accompaniment day
of cooperative interdependence.”

Our children will benefit
from our social-psychological wealthy interdependent health,
of course,
but also political-economic binomial equity-investment,
polypathic and also not not polynomial balance
theological and ecological
great reweaving analogical,
metaphoric and polyphonic
20/20 listening.


Earth’s Body of Teaching

Encultured bodies teach in binary history
of masculine elite win/lose entitled living dominance
and feminine non-elite lose/lose sadly dying recessive
bipolar cultures.

Elite white straight males
of Western mind
and patriarchal heartlessness
learn to produce predative efficient seeds
donated to preferably receptive women
to carry
and give birth to healthy future consumers

Who increasingly live in crowded
sleep-deprived cities
of concrete
and glass ceilings

Where once lived
less elite organic soil,
rivers of lusciously amazing water,
and blue skies of invitation,
sacredly, not segregatedly,
accessible to all non-aparted species,
all organic creations of good faith embodied character,
hetero and homo and trans and pan-associative
eco-receivers and ego-producers
balancing economic and political empowerment
to achieve more resilient polycultural outcomes,
health defining truths of deep polyphonic wealth

Descendants of multicultural immigrations
producing and consuming polypathic multicolors
polyphonic his/herstories
of radiant Sun and receptive Earth
cohabiting this future light
green-blue LeftBrain healthy home
in ElderRight-hearted wealthy uniting space/time Universe,
interdependently free
to resonantly spiral and revolve

Here with Now

vulnerable with non-violent communion
spring with autumn
courageous curiosity
small-Fall with GreatRapture
featuring more resilient harmonic resonance

Commitment to conjoining EarthBodies
Healthy past ejaculations
into compassionate wealth future
regeneration bodies
communing minds
sacred scriptures
conscious bodyminds.


Slice and Dicey EcoFeminists

We could invite many ways
to slice and dice the prism

I first ran into this label
when spoken by a sexual advocate
in the early 70s
at the University of Michigan,
from the mouth of a transgendering ecofeminist
who felt more matriotic about land and people and plants
than patriotic about a nation and state
whose laws,
and the paternalistic parents of those laws,
declare s/he had no right to exist,
certainly not propogate.
No right to love
whom s/he loved
in her proud
and loyal
and honorable
and grateful ecofeminist way.

I can more dimly hear ecofeminist
as an ecologist
who happens to also be a feminist,
but this lacks sufficient resonance and resolution for me.

I can hear ecofeminist
as feminist
who also happens to know about her/his natural environment
and yet this planet inspires feelings of fertile interdependence
as healthy
and would better expire laws of nature
devoid of wealthy co-relationship,
wherein human nature
stands godlike patriarchal and supremely above
our agribusinesses of generic commodified nature
to declare humane wealth
measured only by this quarter’s productivity
intended to leave all fields and forests and oceans barren
before moving on
to our next hostile ecopolitical takeover.

To me,
fully articulating my ecofeminist heart and mind
cannot separate this scientist of Earth’s biosystems
from our fertile-loving nurturance of health,
our most abundant echoing and regenerating cross-trained selves.

fade and fail when personal health outcomes
are depoliticized from national and international lands and oceans,
as well as removed from local and bioregional wealth production,
without co-balancing healthy educational consumption.

Feminist ecologists
abundantly cooperatize, optimize,
when personal health ownership reflects our land and water,
fire and wind wealth of ecosystemic
co-investing balance.

are radical cooperativists,
singers and dancers and self-entertainers,
planters as harvesters,
birthers before butcherers,
listeners before performers,
learners and educators,
parents and mentors,
because this is who we were all born to become
to-gathering ecofeminists.

Our schools,
from preK through post-doctorate,
technical conservation through liberal arts and entertainment,
real estate through real organic wealth,
would each and all do a better job together
of nurturing and growing
and provisioning and providing ecofeminist leaders
if educational curricula
were more permaculturally designed
with ecofeminist divas in the rooms
and in the fields,
and on the seas and rivers,
and not so over infested with unnatural lawyers
who believe our vocations
are to settle for Win some secular health
by losing some sacred wealth,
to teach us why we must not healthy do
as we would most wealthily,
sacredly prefer.

I want to think and feel as a grateful ecofeminist of grace
at school
and church
and mosque
and voting booth
for whom health and wealth
smell and feel and talk together
like Yin reweaving Yang
in co-ecofeminist solidarity,
deep learning regenerations
of (0)Sum
WinWin producing YangSpace
as also consuming Yin PrismedTime.
Neither ecofeminist educators
nor prisms
could wisely argue
about which lens is most correctly primal
or (0)-prime best.

Healthiest is cooperatively wealthiest
with us all holonic,
Yang sending as Yin receiving
simultaneously WinWin.

Which is the Greatest God of All?
disputes do not emerge from prisms,
rather prisons and schools
and bad faith communities
and fake news communications
of retributive WinLose monopolies
devolving toward LoseLose anti-systemic theories
and nihilistic hypotheses
filling in
until our return to restorative mercies and joys
conjoining EcoFeminist Gaian Principles and Procedures
toward more polyculturing prismatic outcomes
of deep
and rich
and wide nutrition,
health optimizing wealth,
planting seeds of wisdom as we have always eco-harvested.
