Sacred Ecology of Democratic HealthCare

Reading Csikszentmihalyi again,
whose last name would be Csikszenti,
if Mihaly, his first name,
need not also bring up the rear of his family name,
which has nothing to do with anything that follows,
I am sure you are already relieved to know.

I continue wanting to add words in.
Occasionally substitute,
probably not because my choice would be more to his point,
but to mine,
which I hope is the same as his,
only slightly different,
but probably at least as redundant
as Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi,
but in a resonantly hopeful way.

“A person without [healthcare] skill
cannot recognize a [pathological] challenge;
but without confronting a challenge
one cannot realize [optimize?] one’s [thriving healthcare] skills.”

Mihaly continues to look for a better term than ‘spiritual’ skills,
for fear it may be too vacuous for vibrant connection.
He flirts with ‘wisdom’; better.
But, apparently is not familiar with Gregory Bateson’s ecology
of natural regenerativity as sacred and/or organic ‘system’ dynamics.

Mihaly says these nature-spirit skills [systems?]
require power to directly control experience,
but this does not feel directly, or sufficiently, accurate to me.

Wise healthcare skills develop capacities to control feelings
about personal embodied experience,
including our unilateral incapacity to control systemic trauma
and/or peak polyvagal climax experiences,
for robust or struggling healthcare wealth.

Sacred/organic mindbody wisdom
feels less LeftBrain dominant
about “manipulating memes that increase harmony among people’s thoughts,”
and more RightBrain prominent
about communicating polyculturally polyamorous feelings

Of waxing and waning passion/pleasure
that increase resilient resonance
with other’s compassionately therapeutic
and dispassionately traumatic
neurosystemic experiences

Actively hoping
to increase ecologically organic
and personally sacred harmony
among kind and loving healthcare thoughts, emotions,
democratically inclusive willpower,
cooperative win/win powers

To consume and produce
healthy co-investments
and systemic trauma disinvestments
(e.g. not taxpaying the TrumPublican malgovernance mis-administration
to abuse and neglect)
polyculturally progressing toward peak wise wealth
Whole Healthy EarthMother Passion/Pleasure reinvestments.

I am less inclined to label those with deep listening
sacred ecology learning skills
‘shamans’
preferring ecotherapists,
or ‘priests’
preferring Gaia Hypothesis enlightened
and trauma-challenge empowered
healthcaring authority figures.

More likely among those who never had to unlearn
dogmatic belief in a monoculturing god
of retributive condemnation
created in our own anthropocentric image.

Ultimately impassioned
and panentheistically pleased
our neuro-sexsensory systems indigenously agree

Wise sacred/organic elders, like trees,
thrive through neuro/eco-systemically remembered
win/win reinvested
compassionate communication outcomes
outputs
regenerate health
and safe democratic wealth
results.

“What is common to all forms of spirituality [including indigenous wisdom]

That is as understated as suggesting RightWing trauma management strategies

How Sacred Earth Has Lost

The title,
How the West Came to Rule,
disturbs me enough to continue reading,
like wanting to escape a nightmare
but too fear frozen with why it could never truly end well
to stop dreaming.
In this case,
is to stop reading.

This history of violent capitalism’s romp across Earth,
fueled by eco-political engines of Europe,
and then industrialized and militarized former colonies,
is brilliantly nuanced and developed

And yet, for me,
the subtitle GeoPolitical Origins of Capitalism
is also the story of
How the East Came to Defeat
through more economically
and politically cooperative-normed extended families

Elder Venerating as reconnecting practice
nurturing personal and familial prosperity,
multiculturally held as religious and ethical,
ecological and psychological,
natural and spiritual grace

patriarchal/matriarchal

In remarkable contrast

Imagine Perfect Thanksgiving

Imagine you live in a daily environment
where and when everything you like
is already yours if you simply ask with gratitude,
and is more frustratingly ungraspable
if you cannot acquire sufficient gratitude to ask.

And, it doesn’t even matter whom you ask.
So you need not be troubled by complexities,
historically epic narratives,
about who owns what,
and who does not,
because everyone you meet knows it is their vocation,
it is among their reasons for being,
to give you whatever you want
whenever you want it with sufficient gratitude.

How might you respond to such power and riches,
to both give and to receive
in an exchange economy
that only values gratitude?

How might we gratuitously seed our fertile black soils
and sparkling clear clean rivers,
and smile back at our perfectly protective blue sky?

I don’t imagine this gratitude power
is magical.
I would not want power to be someone else.
I could not gratefully behold beautiful body
great mind perfection
and also gratefully want to possess that mindbody.

You do have the power to ask them, with gratitude,
to help you see and hear and smell and taste their beauty,
but not to own other organic bodies
without sufficient independent power
to appreciate gratitude of desire

Becoming safely healthy polyvagal powers with others
grateful for our mutually grateful compassion,
vulnerability,
cooperatively trusting co-investments,
because your powers of acquisition
are constrained only by this fair exchange economy
of mutual free-will gratitude.

Imagine, as you mature in wanting control,
the organic chemistry of mutually engaged gratitude
when you were an unwounded infant,
without fear of competitively unresponsive
ingratitude

A polycultural pronoia economy
of positive attitudes
without any learned possibility
of experiencing negative ingratitude.

Imagine how you might have heard:
You can be anyone you desire to become
with sufficient gratitude.
You have cooperative powers
to acquire whatever you can gratefully imagine,
as innocent of longing for the unattainable
as an unborn infant

Imagine, from birth,
this divinely human experience
of continuously
relentlessly
without fear-inducing exception
without blame or shame
without negative judgment
becoming whom
and having whatever we wish for
within an ecology of mutually extending gratitude
perfectly predictable trust
having only felt warmly appreciated mutual regard

Without any magical wonder
or mysterious awe
that you are not discontinuously struggling
sometimes longing
needing to break through dispassionate unpleasant feelings
to become whom and have what other organic beings
do not gratefully wish for you.

Imagine that self-gratitude
automatically generates
re-evaluated other-gratitude,
and vice-versa
self-as-also-other regenerating gratitude.

Imagine you are a healthy organic body
with a wealthy sacred mind
living love where and when
all you can gratefully take in
is ours to give each grateful trusting other.

What happens in your imaginative chemistries
when Win v Lose games of Keep Away
revert into Win-Win nondualistic games of Give Away,
but only when productive for
and consumptive of
co-empathic gratitude?

Power to condemn others, and oneself,
is weaker than power to help others, as oneself.

Power to destroy others, and oneself,
is less impressive
than power to regenerate others, and oneself.

Weakness of fear and anger mismanagement,
with terrifying social consequences
and pathological climate outcomes,
is not strength of non-violently communicating
peace-making powers
growing mind/body integrity.

Power to compete and win personal victories
is persistently insufficient
as compared to interdependent powers to cooperate
economically,
democratically,
emotionally aware,
ecologically woke

Empathic power
is more impressively trustworthy
as dissociative power
is more depressively worthy
of mistrust

Emphatically compassionate power
is socially astute
culturally polypathic,
mentally acute
physically resolute
peacefully polyphonic

Regenerative powers begin within
still small ecological voices
cooperatively in-between
organic communion
and sacred wisdom.

A legal/moral fundamentalist’s ecological problem
with weaponized autocracy
and totalitarian Earth-governance supremacy

Competitive power against
organic law and synergetic order
denies DNA animistic
RNA pantheistic
polyculturally cooperative integrity
supporting polyvagal mind/body
crown/root emergent synergy.

Power to defeat
and eat our primary home-identity pie
is not sufficient
to keep our primal home-identity pie.

Our anthropocentric hubris
could never have sufficient
efficient
effective
affective
infective
reflective powers
to optimize Yang manscape wealth
without equivalent interdependent
Yin landscape health.

Anthropocentric malignant governance
through disempowering condemnation
further degenerates nationalistic climates of fear
about what autocratic leaders mean to actually do
and anger about what they falsely say we should think.

Triggering AnthroMind/EarthBody dis-communicating ecocidal despair,
remains anti-ecologically unwoke
to far greater cooperatively co-empathic powers
of healthy panentheistic democracy’s
polyculturing flow
and climaxing grow
polytheistic EarthWealth trends

Thereby missing co-empathic opportunities

Certainly Earth’s co-empowering intelligence

My son, nearly twenty,
living at home while attending community college,
without prospects of healthier, more robust, alternatives,
believes it is now past time
for pollsters to cast aside their neutral professional agendas
and play a more positive role
in educating this co-invested international polity.

For choosing to unleash

dysfunctional
irreligious federal administration.

Are you still living lonely

Was the organic Body
and sacred Blood of Christ,

I can find it in my heart

Planning Graceful Oldishness

In my early 70s (not THE early 70s) I discovered, without having had the benefit of being properly schooled for old age planning, that “long-term lifetime goals” have become “longish term waistline objectives” over maybe the next decade or so.

The retiring, too quickly transpiring, nature of these hoped for outcomes has also triaged down to a more responsible mature adult scale of peace-making literacy:
good health plans for resilient physical dexterity,
(used to be sexual athleticism)
good humored anticipation of resonant mental acuity,
(used to be world-famous genius)
and good faith passion for integrity
(used to be making a living by doing something not hopelessly toxic to everyone, everything, everywhere, all the time).

Big surprise in the gerontology department, lesser quantity of life, but healthier qualities of love.

A Taoist’s pronoia version of fair trade.
(used to mean not-fair-trade paranoia about getting ripped off by suspiciously threatening Others, God, Aliens, Big Brother, Artificial Intelligence, Big Pharma, Big Government, Big Bullies, too much over-capitalized, and weaponized, Bigness, etc.)

Now I practice compassion-engaging faith and humor and health by responding to systemic TrumPublican trauma with music and movement therapy, and writing sexual politics poetry, for which there is not a large commercial market, and practicing good liturgical song and dance.

Now in my 70s, I’ve also noticed that good sacred music, like good humor, and good health, is not just about commitment to the stretching movement, but also to the silent rest.
