A Healing Society

When directors of social justice,
whether parents
or teachers
or community leaders
or religious leaders
and eco-political livers,
lovers address EarthJustice
by recommending immersion experiences,
journeys to commune with hurting populations
and species
and systems,

We provide a better justice service
by remembering that most vulnerable populations
suffering from diverse systemic subclimate pathologies
are not human societies
associations
communities
families
individuals eco-political.

If social justice advocates
have any doubts about this,
please consider communing with trees,
producers of renewable oxygen,
useful for the soul function of breathing;
conversing with topsoil nurturers
helpful for recycling nutrition;
consider an immersion experience with boundary swamps
and mouths of rivers
quenching salty ocean thirst,
harboring birds
immersing with tasty insects
rodents
snakes.

In this face of Earth Not-Justice,
we find outdoor life
a long immersion journey
from infant crawling on picnic blankets
to ocean front death shrouds,
tombs within meadows and gardens,
woodlands fueled by radiant sunlight,
fertilized by fully committed bodies
of fibers
fleas
fish
fowl
fungi
frogs
foliage.

Where
and when
and how
could such unfinished immersion end
with EarthJustice?

Although not sure,
not whole,
perhaps this journey only begins
and ends
with outdoor people,
longing to return to solidarity
with trees
and tides
and tale-winds.

as both/and
Green/Red Gaian co-redemptive risks
cooperatively sponsored blood and water sacrifices
resonantly planted,
resiliently harvested.

For this Green and Blue and Red,
and all multicultures in-between,
Sanctuary journey,
we invite all Time,
all valuables
all health
all energy
all wealth
all invocations
all gentle compassion,

All co-investments
in always unfinished Love
for journeys into further

Green Sanctuary Propositions

Who are you most longing to become?

How we answer this is different for an ancient rooted tree
than for a recent immigrant
searching for a niche of stable self-sufficiency.

Who we already have become together
feels more important to thriving groves of WiseElders
than to adolescent immigrants
actively learning creolizing bilingual skills
still coming together for survival.

So too, offering Sanctuary,
becoming Sanctuary,
inviting Sanctuary,
is rooted in Green complex nutrients
for feeding
and warm wet watering
whispering easier
cozier
more accessible nutrients
for everyone–
but especially appreciated
by more recent emigrants
to a new garden of hospitality,
of multicultural cooperation,
of shared cooperative residence
and patterns of safe,
sometimes exciting, new transport
toward healthiest wealth.

A gardener’s intent
to both offer and share sanctuary
may provoke well-nurtured gratitude
in a recent annual immigrant,
but a more sleepy and self-satisfied entitlement
in mature seniority of perennials,

Yet, primordially feeling and speaking,
we are all immigrants newly becoming together
with each new dawn,
and determined to cooperatively rest
in grateful dreams
with each renewing dusk.

Who are we most belonging
by becoming Green Sanctuary
together?

Some guilds of mutual interest
and investment
invite growing a cooperative sanctuary for food,

Other teams choose cooperatively owned and managed shelter,
gardens,
farms,
transporting cars and trucks
and bikes and horses,

Others focus on cooperatively owned and managed soil,
observing that democratically co-invested compost,
like capital,
recalls healthy savings in a nutritional bank
for cooperative food constituents.

And so it went,
whether Republican or Democrat,
Libertarian or Green,
Who we want to become together
is more cooperatively resilient,
more robustly compassionate
and co-empowering,
so less aloof
alone
smug and self-satisfied
about our competitive win/lose economic
and partisan histories of colonization;

When, truth become remembered,
we are all reborn naked
and needy
immigrants.

The 2020 Restorative Justice Proposal

It may have been the WiseElders Circle
that commissioned the GrantWriter’s first proposal.
Yet others claim it was the Young Adults,
And Pfizer prescribes New London’s original health proposal
came from their own blood stream advocates,
And the Coast Guard Academy remembers an early defensive proposal
to heal and protect local drinking waters
going more cooperatively coastal.
But, to each and all,
the GrantWriter responded,
as I recall renewing atmosphere:
Resiliently successful co-investment proposals
cannot be written in just one academic
unfelt Voice
of monotheistic
monocultural
monopolistic choice.
So each congregation,
organization,
affiliation
sent a delegation of four
to a multi-party convention.
Each participant was a member
of the Green
and/or Libertarian
and/or Democratic
and/or Republican MultiParty,
or agreed to roleplay warm familiarity
with one of these four primal platforms
investing primary priorities
in economically cooperative campaigns
and politically therapeutic co-investment intentions
not aggressively looking for full-out contention
to attract mediattention,
unmediated chronic tension.
Instead of debates
within and between these four Parties,
the GrantWriter invited small groups of four
to take turns listening
to repeated questioning,
“Who are we most longing to become?”
Dialogue ensued
not encouraged to research every naked win/lose competitive difference;
But, instead,
to capitalize win/win cooperative opportunities
to include highest priorities
as those voiced by all four health/wealth co-arising Party voices.
The GrantWriter notes:
Dear New London mayoral candidates
for all four Parties on our 2020 ReVision ballot,
The diverse congregations of New London
invite you to attend our Cooperative Dialogue Convention;
Not to speak,
but to listen,
as each small group reports out their longings,
findings,
truths with win/win consequences,
What each of us most longs to co-invest
to cooperate
to come and go viral
across all cultures
climates
and living systems,
Acts of cooperative compassion
for healing individual residents,
families and taxpaying households,
and untaxed community service properties,
communities of co-investment,
healthier resonant climates
and wealthier resilient multicultures.
Think of it as, for you, our guests, a silent auction
where everybody wins
because no one’s health is down and out
for highest bid.

Greatest Story Never Told

This story remains unfinished
as do all the best tales told.
Yet I must warn you
it has a happy ending,
not dystopian,
although not a finished
political utopia,
Ever After LoveLife.

Where this story begins
remains a mystery,
like a definition for “Tao”
more obscure than refining Yang
with Yin sublime co-relationship,

Which is, and is not,
equivalent with white and black,
and all curious colors in-between
masculine and feminist,
left-brain dominant strength
and right-brain prominent flow;
liberties egalitarian and freedoms interdependent,
powers and passions,
climates and cultures,
natures and nurtures
secular and sacred,
ego- and eco-systemic
wealth as health,
love as life…

I believe
somehow
this unfinished end
revisits our Green Sanctuary origins,
Earth as Eden,
Humane life as divine love
where Gaia danced with interior/exterior humane voices
long before humanity was a tremor in Her womb
of left-brain dominant verbal becoming retold history.

Whether such a vast stage of DNA origin,
hoary with memoried and imagined Time,
affluently historical
and effluently cultural,
this is,
or hopes to one day become,
The Greatest Story Not Ever Told,
if only because we have been so Business As Usual
win-losing recycling spirals
conjoining Alphas and Omegas,
great transitional beginnings
with endings not yet visible,
or even vicariously heard,

Not ever completing
all Win/Win interdependent co-relationships
TaoTime invites
offers
with compassion,
gratitude,
curious courage,
transparent vulnerability.

But, you were asking about New London
in particular place and time,
a Connecticut town of about 30,000,
home of the Coast Guard
and Pfizer
and a Unitarian-Universalist Center
everybody knows as All Souls
and most every multicultural body repeats
their logo,
“Where all Souls are welcome.”

Strangely enough
I think the GrantWriter
was from out of town,
without any long-term relationships in New London
government
or business
or our eclectic religious sector.

The GrantWriter:

Such profound disconnection
feels uncomfortable
discomforting
not comfitting
inappropriate
for growing deep and wide compassion roots.

So, I did what I do,
I wrote an unfinishable proposal
about how to grow a resiliently healthy love life
in and with and for New London,
about why we each and all need a new win/win cooperative theory
and practice
for regenerative climate development;
so also against degenerative overheated
and frozen anti-health development.

Too much of my own learning experience
emphasized the sterile science
and dyspeptic un-communioned arts
of grief about lose/lose monoculturing climate terror trends,

So what would the opposite polycultural outcomes
of such environmental disaster feel like?
Look like?
Taste like?
Sound like?

How would we reattach to sacred gratitude
as a win/win species?
Now living in side-by-side autocratic/democratic silo communities
wrestling with win/lose economic capital-hoarding competition models
for natural and spiritual and financial survival.

Where are our active gratitude models
for win/win healthy wealth optimization?

One day
listening to Pamela Sparr,
not New London talent,
but encountered in an All Souls reading circle book,
Justice On Earth,
we cooperatively evolved five steps
Out of Our Silos and Selves:

1) Propose a bolder win/win,
left/right,
ego/eco-balancing
prophetic resilient image
of a mutually compassionate ecopolitics.

2) Develop communally incarnated courage
multicultural curiosity
capacity to listen
naturally left and spiritually right
ego-eco-theo-logically taoistic nutritional.

3) Look for win/win gratitude experiences
outside our side by side religious sanctuaries
and inside organic health farms
of resiliently ego-masculine
resonantly eco-feminist communication.

4) Engage with radical outdoor Earth voices
for interdependent co-passion
building up and out
and down and in
multicultural communion.

5) Increase win/win
polycultural gratitude
for health/wealth inspired
co-refining secular/sacred experience
of cognitive/emotive
culture/climate transformation.

Lively Fires

Life burns vigorously
predatively
until retiring,
slowing down to glowering embers
reflecting on all consumed since birth.

Flaming gratitude feels not yet fulfilled,
heatedly completed,
but hanging on for what calming
cooling purpose?
Embalming remnants of fueled meaning
with smug self-satisfaction
and feckless remorse.

Family relationships burn out
turn in toward former flames
risen higher
fueled deeper in memory
than capacity for renewed heat images
now questionable
in life’s resilient potential.

Fires nurture risk and opportunity,
but old fires grow risk of cold and acrid ashes,
fading active hope for new winds
smoking in renewed fuel opportunities.

This strong-fired life
of dried out climate difference,
strong inflaming protest,
oft questioned dignity,
smolders in wrinkling
shrinking maturity
over ripe with risk
of fading opportunity to yet see Earth
with new peaceful eyes,
with impassioned fires of understanding
what this human conflagration was all about.

Smoldering embers
dimly hope for new winds,
new unbillowing eyes
to recall that initial committed moment
of inspiration,
of spark and wind and fueled experience
inviting fires from first spark
til last light spent.

Fire,
like life,
like love,
builds its own waiting sanctuary.

Bigger v Deeper Egos

The belief that we become healthier,
healed,
redeemed
through commitment to some power
bigger and higher than just ourselves
follows left-brain dominant teaching,
and appeals to patriarchal thirsts
for robust ego empowerment.

Right-brain prominent feelings
do not disagree with,
dissonantly conflict with,
this bigness metaphor
but monotheistic universalism is not right-brain resonant,
while depth is everything
everywhere
every interconnected potential Time
of radically profound interdependent Identity.

Ego identity
feels emerging from
and returning to
deep ecosystemic nutritional streams
of curiously submerged becoming
co-passionate together
as facets of one boundless
unfathomed ZeroZone
double-bound
bilateral win/win becoming whole
holy
holonic
synergetic
integral.

Big and from-on-high colonization
is never historically resilient,
is always unsustainable,
except when intended
and multiculturally experienced as creolization,
benign largess, invitation
from deep compassionate pockets
of resonantly sacred generosity.

Left-brain either-or thinking
about how to be part of bigger
universally monotheistic Power
can become confluent with right-brain both-and feeling
becoming more deeply etched
ego-identified faith in action
within eco-individuating awareness
of nature’s interaction,
deeply spiritual compassion.

Where left-brain egos long to be part of a higher power,
right-brain win/win prime
ego/eco-relationality
belongs immersed in reconnecting deeper co-passioning rivers
of healthy energy streams
flowing up from enlightening dual-dark Source,
sacred resources,
silent webs of becoming
deep wells of resilient resonant belonging.

Resonant Health Resilience

I’m not against left-brain
right-wing dominance
so much as I am for
right-brain
left-wing prominently appreciating
depreciating left-brain
right-wing dominant economics
and political disempowerment
of Earth’s vital climate health,
collectively and individually,
globally and locally,
exponentially and intimately
transparent and vulnerable
communal relationship.

I’m certainly not against optimizing resilient health.
And, I am also for optimizing resonant integral beauty
with feeling multicultural trust,
cooperative win/win beauty standards for choice making
familiar with both/and co-passioning solidarity
replacing relentless stress
out-lining/in-lining a full spectrum of resilient health awareness.

I am not against global thinkingism
and self-satisfaction;
But I am also for local acting,
reflecting,
communing,
win/win prioritizing,
discussion and dialogue
with intent to cooperatively implement
health-wealth journeys
bicamerally informed
by resiliently resonant truth/beauty changes
into commonly-held wisdom economies,
beauty ecologies,
healthy integrity.

I am not against pathological
absence of rational solidarity;
I am for healthy purpose,
wealthy meaning,
communion experience,
local planning and implementing
global compassion.

I’m not against civilian civility;
But I’m much more impassioned
inspired by a global through local society
of polycultural wealth through health solidarity.

Strong Health Defense

Avoiding risk
is not always the best way to feed
and assertively, but not overbearingly, water
resilient opportunities.

Patriarchalism
is not always the best way to build
resilient ecofeminist cooperative opportunities.

It may too often be exclaimed,
“The best offense
is a strong defense.”

Defensive strategies
begin to look remarkably aggressive,
even left-brain overbearingly offensive.

I don’t recall the reverse claim,
“The best defense
is an affluent
effluent offense.”

Probably because this is not necessarily true
to resiliently healthy experience.
Mosquito repellent bracelets
seem more sustainably effective
than bombing my entire lot
in predator/prey life
with toxic insecticide.

And yet,
I’m not sure that the more popular aphorism
is any more true or false.

The most resilient and powerful defense
against suffering and loss,
against climates of pathology,
already feels too self-isolating
timid
lacking in healthy robust curiosity,
too anti-degenerative
to actively regenerate hope
and cooperative faith
and win/win co-passion
and gratitude
for courage to face new frontiers of awareness
with those
and that
now less known,
less connected,
less resiliently
resonantly etched into our global gratitude
attitude experience.

If we were to re-image offensive strategies
to grow win/win economic/political gratitude
as Yang-strength,
universally
mutually empowering;

And, Yin-effluent flow
as defensive ecofeminist opportunities,
invitations to ease off the left-brain dominant
competitive
either/or thinking
enculturing win/lose
inflaming gas,
We might find ourselves with feminists
resisting patriarchal extraction histories
predicting only future Loser economics
and Loser ecological disempowerment
of otherwise healthy robust futures,
Yang-offensive and Yin-defensive balance.

But, resistance without resilient win/win offensives
does not effectively balance our tipping point
double-bound offensive/defensive optimization,
inviting us toward cooperatively-held articulate
resilient healthy purpose,
robustly wealthy sacred meaning
experiencing Yang-health
as Yin beauty-wealth,

Universal offense-wealth
as unitarian defense,
slow-grown communal
ecofeminist
ego-political win/win integrity;
healthy-wealth optimization,
right-brain prominent enculturation,
resilient both-offense-and-defense resonance.

A frog in a patriarchal well
does not know the great ecofeminist sea.

League of EcoFeminist Rainbow Conservation Voters

There is this thought,
in Leagues of Voters,
continually arising
from East to West
and South to North
and Left to Right,

That we need to make win/win nice
with our mammalian cousins
on land and sea
or only mean old reptiles
and hungry predative birds and insects
will remain
to design Earth’s future cultures
and regenerations.

Others feel this prejudice
for wombs over eggs
and nuts
and seeds
is merely ignorant elitism,
as if humanimals
are not capable of reacting
like rattlesnakes
and scorpions
wherever and whenever our environmental climate
fails to comfort
and entertain us.

Womb supremacists
and egg empiricists
and seed originalists
all agree,
regardless of ZeroZone resourceful structure,
win/win cooperative economies
are healthier than win/lose ego-empowering constitutions,
whether capital declared
or politically implied
by organizing skills fostering more wars and competition
more than love and cooperative education.

This reminds me of a Japanese saying,
There is luck in the last portion.

Whether good luck or bad,
well-wombed or bad-seeded,
this saying leaves to us
to predict and actively hope for
or against.
