appreciating our diversity of natural resources,

depreciating our monopolistic anthro-racial-centric history

and monocultural excesses?

 

What to do, how to respond,

to totalitarian tyranny

within my own ego-centrism,

and within another’s home,

or community,

or economy?

 

These questions of avoiding negative monopolizing trends

monoculturing economies,

monochromatic elitist races

toward presumption and resumptions of mutual immunity

alienability

grow perennially in Spring’s garden bed

of polycultural nutrient hopes,

intentions,

opportunities,

permacultural design,

and polycultural installation practice.

 

Monopolistic economic assumptions,

like monocultural ecological identity,

are more fruitfully and forcefully revolutioned

as polycultural challenges

to religion resonant balance,

reconnect harmony and peace,

where we have become,

New Neighbors

I am just finishing my morning meditation when I hear my doorbell ring. It actually sounds more like that buzzing sound you hear if you fry a fat fly on one of those electronic bug swatters. On my way to the door I hope it’s not my new neighbor who just moved in the first floor apartment below me yesterday. Nobody wants a too friendly neighbor, right? I’m from the “fences make good compassionately mindful neighbors” school of thought about neighborly interdependence, much less intimacy.

I open the door to a 60-something blotchy, ashy, white-skinned man wearing grey polyblend sweatpants, slightly too short, over a pair of black Crocs, screaming “I gave up on myself years ago,” and a lighter grey zip up the front, grimy hoody with a ripped left pocket, sleeves pushed up over old-red-haired-man, possibly ex-athlete, thick  creepy hairy forearms.

Before I have a chance to let him know this feels invasive to me, or even say “Hello, who and why are you at my door during my meditation time?” the new downstairs neighbor starts flapping his jaws as if my ears were born to listen to his cheery wisdom.

“Hi, I’m Oliver. My two neurally challenged teenagers, Ivy’s the bratty girl, and Daquan is the perfect, but sometimes a little loud, sort of like a really ticked off roaring lion, but you’ll get used to it, son, and I are your new downstairs neighbors, and I wanted to meet you right away because I don’t want you to freak out and call 911 when you hear us yelling or screaming or crying or jumping endlessly hour after hour because Ivy is really hyper and because Daquan can’t speak but often seems to have a lot to bark and roar about what somtimes seems like its just gas and sometimes means he’s wet and is trying to tell me I need to put the novel down, or stop writing that dreadful sad poetry, or writing predictable lyrics for country-western songs, much less living them, and sometimes he’s just playing Tarzan, yodeling in his make-believe jungle. He’s legally blind and uses a wheelchair for school but at home he scoots and thumps around, surprisingly athletic, on his butt, kind of like an upside down inchworm if inchworms had feet and arms, if you know what I mean.”

I don’t have the first clue, actually, but we have no time, and apparently not the least commitment to discerning my own thoughts about Oliver’s communication and rationality skills, or lack thereof.

“My husband lives about a mile upriver in our cottage that we are trying to expand before the rest of us move in. He is tall, dark and handsome in an AfricanAmerican kind of way and is usually depressed, at least when he’s around us, which I can’t really blame him because Ivy is Oppositionally Ordered, I don’t know why they keep saying Fetal Alcohol kids have Oppositional Disorder because her capacity to oppose everything is most certainly not out of order, or in any way under-developed. She will pitch a fit if all you’re trying to do is get her up from her feeding trough to help her out of a poopy diaper. You would think that somebody was going to eat her food after she has already marked it with her drool. I have no idea why they would call that Oppositional Disorder. No one I have ever met has been more oppositionally wired synaptic than my daughter.”

“Anyway, Valentino, that’s my husband, he suffers from chronic depression which is too bad because he used to have this really nice soft sense of humor and romance, if you know what I mean, but now he’s just quiet and sad and afraid to retire because then he won’t have any friends that don’t drive him crazy like his family does, including me.”

“He complains that we’re too loud and the house is always filthy and my cooking is terrible but he likes to cook and clean so I don’t really get it why it’s not OK for me to not like to cook and clean, or do the laundry, or the dishes. Do you know what I mean? So, tell me about you.”

“Ditto. Except mine are named, respectively, Poison, Tarzan, and Attila. Do you happen to like Ginseng tea with lots of honey?

like my favorite family meetings,

where we take time explaining what we appreciate

before complaining about what seems less adorning

not so much greeting

nonviolent justice perhaps

to mirror our collective synergy,

redirecting from blame and shame

to what these might teach us

about our together potential

toward Beloved Community’s gainful claim to fame.

and listens thoughtfully and joyfully to her kids

encouraging even better questions

for us to think about together,

toward issues we have only faced

with competitive dispowering assumptions.

 

He does not accept a party,

declines a nomination,

for any platform designed to win this race alone.

What good a solo success

not everyone can win together?

Tearing down ideas and reputations

are heinous abominations

within his dream of racing toward sustained success together.

Why accept painful loss

when grace is as ubiquitous as sunshine

for those whose flights transcend the night

and clouds of dark-tempered competition?

 

She buys no votes

from any generation

that will be paid for by the following six

with exponential loss and waste anticipation.

 

He invests his evenings and weekends

in his family presence

whether dining in or out.

It takes a village to raise a child

and it takes a tribe of families

to  raise a global nation

investing presence wisdom.

 

She helps us comprehend

or past lessons,

equals Win-Win economics.

 

He finds her issues

with his priorities

when they both turn

toward mutually mentoring development

Regenerative Systemic Redemption

The difference between mechanical systems and living systems is that all systems have both consumption and production functions, but living systems sustain their identity as more-than-mechanical systems as long as their decomposition functions continue to positively self-regenerate. Sustaining life requires positive Prime Relationship balance between decompositional and regenerative multisystemic trends within a polycultural environment of synergetic cooperation. The moment further integrative potential is lost to view, to hope, lost to faith, to consumptive and productive functions, synergy decadently tips toward entropic trends, resulting in decreasing polycultural function and form and increasing side-by-side monocultural decay.

The Prime Relationship Principle of Taoist Permacultural Teleology transliterates and systemically universalizes various cultural expressions of the Golden Rule as:

To optimize systemic confluence, minimize both consumption and production of dissonance, dismay, disease, decay, loss.

Loss, waste, is decomposition that does not return at least equivalent regenerative value.

The difference between equivalent return and slow-growth positive, emergent, integrative redemption of decomposed investment is the difference between non-violent justice, or fairness, or equipoised transactional balance, equivalence, and the active peaceful Climax Community regenerative trends of mutually subsidiary redemption. Redemptive economics and systemic ecology might define active peace as love; could define love as compassionate mindfulness; could define co-passionate, co-prehensile, co-intelligent mindfulness as inclusively synergetic, trending away from mutual monocultural tolerance in active pursuit of universally inclusive, mutually-optimizing, polycultural economic ecological ecotherapy.

Multisystemic ecotherapy regenerates the sustained life optimization of mutually subsidiary Beloved Climax Communities, balancing our Interior SuperEco Landscape by learning active peaceful harmonic orthopraxis with our universal Exterior SuperEco Landscape. Earth’s natural systemic Elders, Mentors, Co-Creators, Mutual Messiahs cooperatively redeem our integrative ecological and economic potential.

The opposite of cognitive dissonance theory is permacultural regenerative redemption theory.

To redeem is an active economic process following natural ecological principles of order and equity. Reincarnate Earth Day Conversations

Buckminster Fuller and Julian Jaynes recently reviewed their cultural and scientific influence on health and well-being ecological and economic outcomes during the current Transitional Era.

Bucky: I wish I had spent more time speaking as a Unitarian Positive Teleologist. Perhaps that would have taken care of the overly recessive trends in cultural awareness of what, in retrospect, was published but not really read or comprehended fully; undervalued and ignorantly ignored:

1. “Synergy,” everything I ever published about the topic of “synergy,” is spiritually and intuitively defined as love, in Western cultures, and naturally and organically defined as compassionate mindfulness in Eastern traditions.

2. The encoded regenerative fractal structure of Physical Universal Intelligence follows DNA/RNA thermodynamic, electromagnetic, permacultural, economic, and ecological Prime Relationship balance; and evolutionary dynamics are fractal-dipolar revolving harmony Convex-Exterior-Yang OVER Concave-Interior-Yin (0)-Core Vector Rooted octaves and branching tree structures. And, if I had run into Lin Yutang and Taoism before I published, I think I would have connected Yang metaphysical principles with Convex-Exterior physical principles, and Yin metaphysics with Concave-humane natured Interior physical principles of bicameral consciousness.

Julian: Yes, I can see that same sense of ethological and ecological and teleological dynamic and emergent awareness in the Left-brain’s evolution out from RNA regenerative temporal memory. My neural theory of bicameral older-right v. linguistic-deductive organized left information processing, cultural, and historical development, seems to support your equivalency between “synergy” and “love-confluent consciousness,” as well as Gregori Perelman’s work, and William Thurston’s too, in Group Theory, and I wonder if there isn’t something in there that pertains to the logistics and statistical/strategic trend predictions of Cooperative Game Theory, using reverse-hierarchy Win-Win assumptions.  You know, so no one id-entity can optimally win until the weakest link in our chain of interdependence achieves equivalent outcome values?

Bucky: Absolutely. Synergy and love retain integrity, balance, harmony between Left-languaged deductive memory and Right-proportional inductive experiential conscience codex of positive v. negative feeling and personal awareness, like what Polanyi calls “Personal Knowledge.”

Julian: So synergy and love and confluence are neurally appositionally responsive to messages that do not cause cognitive dissonance, disease, dismay, lack of equivalent metric balance and energetic harmony.  Compassionate mindfulness becomes eco-comprehension optimized through balancing Left-brained Yang and Right-brained Yin bicameral functions.

Bucky: Yes, I wish the Clay Math Challenge folks would have realized that Synergetics is really all about the Polynomial v. Not-Polynomial information lack of integrity v. entropy problem, just as Thomas Kuhn’s work in deductive cultural revolutions became troubled with the Problem of Incommensurability.

If +Polynomial information does not equal rational and sustainable Universal Optimized Intelligence, then positive does not equal a double negative.
