Regenerating Tao

What does our Elder suggest

for regenerative incarnation,

for socioeconomic

ecological

economic

change of values,

growth toward inclusive diversity,

away from exclusive monopoly,

toward resilience,

buoyant sustenance,

rich nutrients,

permacultured polycultures?

I began learning from extended families

as a fetal cocoon,

receiving positive nutritional values

through Yin-Mother’s milky secretions

absorbed and transforming

this new EarthTribe creation.

Mother’s milk followed an extended plasma pilgrimage,

double-parabolic enfolding and unfolding,

covering and discovering,

longing and belonging,

intergeneration back to her original nuclear

non-self-acidic abundant confluence intent,

shared cellular mutually subsidiary default,

to recognize Self as living,

organic,

transformating cocoon

potential and fulfilled,

echoing memories of Self as time continued,

only capable of willing to continue within this Boundary Self

teleological, existential, phenomenological, analogical,

permanently eco-logical universe.

I grow Not-Other environmental awareness,

shedding dissonant immunity paradigms and frequencies,

re-prehending primal physical and gravitational

mutually positive flow

weaving together temporal flow with digital in-formation,

analogically spacetime positive functional trend.

Only free to choose this life fulfilling at this time,

free to choose to continue choosing

memory or not, or both together,

a choice of freedom already optimized

in each just-now-possible eternal moment.

More recently, our scent of extended family

grows exponentially across species,

traversing Earth,

extending back to Elder trees,

hierarchically binomial neural organisms,

temporally and ergetically,

and stardust plasma flowing

gravitationally waving linear embracing structures,

and forward swelling into future generations

already born as seeds in advent’s uncracked wombs,

Yang forced urgent critical need,

diastolic then diastatic,

folding in and opening out,

regenesis.

Wiser questions,

healthier and more humane:

Who do I most want

each other to become

right now

in this sustainably optimizing relationship

of becoming Tao?

What do I expect of Self and Other,

not just one or the other,

what responsibility, shared authority,

mutually gratuitous subsidiarity,

cooperative economy,

rooted in balanced peace and justice,

systematic religioning ecologos,

but mostly love?

Dr. Beaver’s Win-Win EcoTherapy Game

So, this year our Permaculture Communications Class project will hope to design a cooperative, yet fun, EcoTherapy Game. We will do this together, but let me give you some ideas that came to me in the middle of last night’s full moon cycle. So you know this is going to be good, right?

OK, what if we cast Information issues within a hierarchy of discernment authority to defer to nutritious health and economic prosperity values. So options available are restricted by giving preference to those that are at least positive/negative value balanced in both ecological and economic categories. This should have the effect of minimizing loss, pain, suffering, and dissonance, using normative Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) binary system standards, for positive value optimization, using Bayesian trend analysis.

Now, this is a Win-Win gaming frame, so we prioritize positive information value power and authority by using a principle of mutual lowest subsidiarity default. So, if a Win-Lose value issue dispute arises at the individual level, then the resolution frame goes to the population of the individual’s family, if the family presents the issue to their community, then the resolution frame incorporates that family’s community, if the community cannot resolve the issue to the satisfaction of both the family and the community representatives, then the frame goes out to representatives of the State, or Province, or Bioregion, then to national representatives, and globally only in the event of a national failure to find a mutually acceptable win-win indigenous strategy, which seems likely with regard to climate change concerns, for example, but probably not quite so much about your grandmother’s unfortunate habit of carrying an unsheathed paring knife concealed in the back pocket of her dungarees. But, please notice, this game design intends to be family-based, or rooted–not exclusively marketed to those desperate 16 year olds hiding down in your basements waiting for the satellites to fall, playing their Win-Lose cosmological disaster games.

Let’s take a familiar and long-standing ethical dilemma between the individual and society: If we had a citizen who refused to pay that portion of federal taxes currently allocated toward the production of death and the destruction of property, these would probably show up in our positive ecology value column as ecologically dysfunctional, and therefore negative values; that is, death, decay, dissonance, and destruction are each an indicator of harm, disvalue, dissonant Information string-trend frequencies. These are each and all ecologically negative trend projections. So, a State regulation that appeared to the individual to be dissonant with his or her biosystem’s positive productive outcomes might also contribute to the demise of everyone’s biosystemic health and welfare. I think this might be at least a reasonably moderate level of global human collapse, probably bringing along several other vulnerable species.

Our EcoTherapy Game might involve a national resolution platform to reconsider options like permitting conscientious objectors to not pay their war tax portion so long as that same amount of currency is transparently invested for positive socioeconomic outcomes, such as cooperatives and locally controlled ecological and economic network development.

On the other hand, a socioecological pathologist, and perhaps to some extent we each participate in socioecological pathology, but some more frequently and dysfunctionally than others, brought to the justice system for violating a law, such as evading paying people in a corporation’s own community a living wage by moving production, packaging, and customer service operations to another biosystem, thereby increasing carbon footprint for transportation, and where cost of living in U.S. dollar equivalencies is much lower, thereby further eroding the value of indigenous currency, and further destabilizing the economic and ecological systems in another place. This begins to smell like taking a shit in somebody else’s water, most anybody else’s water, the further away from where I sleep the better, and would be an illegitimate Lose-Lose strategy with disvalues dominating values in both our ecological and economic categories of available options. I strongly recommend that we take off our Ecological Win-Win gaming table, any of these sociocultural and economic Lose-Lose strategies. But, carefully, therapeutically.

So, OK, where was I?  Oh yes, these ecodislogical corporate heads meet with community or state representatives for dispute resolution using a Basic Attendance positive, non-violent, dynamically reiterative, issue resolution framework. Compassionately mindful eco-therapists, both humanist and feminist, using their most inclusively empathetic positive communication and regenerative information skills, talk about, perhaps even role play, perhaps even playing the EcoTherapy Game together, demonstrate the positives and negatives economically and ecologically that they see in the corporate heads’ investment strategy, mindfully, and therefore gratefully, mentoring a hope and faith in mutually subsidiary positive dialogue and discernment. “We’re all in this mess together and we’ll all figure it out together, in a way that works for everyone. No one is allowed to walk away from this table feeling like they just lost something they really need.”

The EcoTherapist’s primary discernment function is to understand why these corporate heads behave as they do, what are the positive economic and  ecological outcomes, short-term and long-term, extending out over the next 7 generations? The negatives are self-evident and not useful to the initial stages of dialogue. Can the EcoTherapist find similar functions and dynamics within her/his own relationships to self, others, natural systems, Earth? In this light, the EcoTherapist can best mentor appropriate behavior, something they have actually done under similar ethical circumstances, that avoids violating the Golden Rule and most any other natural and evolutionary and ecological law that I can imagine, within a

Polynomial +1-Yang QBit trend analysis

magnetically balanced-as-equal to

-(Not-Polynomial) time and space information -(0)-Yin QBit 4-Based binary information processing system, CQI design standard [perhaps a bicameral cytosine processor network].

Our bicameral information analysis network will follow reverse temporal trends to optimize Win-Win scenarios and proposals, so a Global Win-Win hierarchical outcome stage of balanced +/- (0)-Core Vector cannot be achieved until every nation achieves +/- (0) value balance in both economic and ecological categories, and no nation can achieve 0-sum balance until every bioregion or state or province within that nation achieves 0-sum balance, and so on down through the community in mutual subsidiary relationship with families, and families with individuals within their families, so this Win-Win reverse-hierarchical default invests everyone in everyone else’s messes, leaving no one behind, feeling like they do not belong to what we are working on together within this EcoTherapy Game. Remember we can’t crowdsource a Win-Win Game and declare it won if even one of the players reports a deficit–a default (+/- 0) outcome for any player is no more than, or less than, what the player entered the game with. That’s more of a Draw-Draw Game. So, I don’t know, maybe our EcoTherapy Game hopes to be Win-Win at the global level, with every entity having a positive balance at the end, but perhaps a Win-Or-Draw-0-balanced Consequences is a more realistic thought, something just this side of paradise.

And, individuals could play this game in each moment of their thoughts and words and actions and absorption of nutrient choices, until they are able to strategize an eco-soul (0)-sum universe with +/- binary balance, using the Prime TrimTab Permaculture Design Optimization Standard of Greatest Abundance/Least Dissonant Loss of information and function, and frequency, and dynamic force, and gravitational flow synergy, which I think might equal positive ecological evolution in this hierarchically revolving Regenesis Theory.

Now, those of you who are taking careful notes may have noticed that reference to QBits, meaning Information Bits within a binary digital information processing system, or maybe not just that. You may also be aware that we have a lot of confusion right now about this QBit quantification of Information flow business, not to mention that whole thing about whether we have sufficiently proven that Polynomial Explicately Ordered Information is reverse-equivalent, formally, nomially, ecologically, metrically, energetically, culturally, and linguistically with NonPolynomial time and space. Some Information Development Theorists claim QBits are what is not real energy or information; others think of them more as heuristic vacuums of information at the proximate end of energy-frequency strings; absent, static, entropic, vacuous pockets within the functional dimensional perspective of observation at any one vector in spacetime. But, I think Buckminster Fuller may have also seen these positive information QBit vacuums as negative binomial knots of bi-functional frequency trend unraveling, rather like David Bohm’s ink drops, unraveling as positive spacetime information but potentially reweaving, under controlled reverse-temporal re-formative “information-memory” value assumptions.

In positive trending polynomial spacetime, these QBit knots of negentropy remain -(-P) [for Polynomial and for Positive Bayesian analytic appositional correlated dis-information] decaying information, perhaps coded reverse temporally as concave-aptic-interior by ‘within’ confluent nuclear mutual-immune-“without dissonance” structural default space-gaps. In normative RNA code development, QBit non-polynomial folds, also binomial gap-ends of vibrant-frequency information-strings, temporally infolds “closer-later-lower” OVER more “distant-earlier-higher” [probably inclusive of magnetic North as +]. Cytosine (C) functions in this prime-information codex system as appositional temporal reversal “constant not-immune” = appositively reflective of Uracil. C functions as a constant -(-)P dysfunction negative non-correlative reverse Bayesian temporal polarity within a balanced P OVER NP binomial metric assumption, rather typical of binary digital information processing systems dependent on +/- electromagnetic balanced energy frequency assumptions. If there isn’t an implied 0 for every explicate 1, then our information system itself is out of balance. This -(-) = + Information Polynomial is analogous to the dynamics of (-)Yin = (+)Yang, just as (+)Yin = (-)Yang form, function, frequency, flow, and force/power in Taoism, maybe.

So, there are +Yang QBits and -Yin QBits with temporal relative constant equivalencies within natural ecological, physical systems, like human bodies, each with its own chi-soul polarity, right through the spine and between the right and left lobes. Now, human minds try to keep all this stuff in balance, which is, according to Julian Jaynes, perhaps why our mammalian brain has pushed out some bicameral information processors, although I think our human natural version went from older Right-brain dominance to now a bit too much Left-deductive, reiterative, ego-more-than-eco-speciated-centric, languaged Western and Northern hemisphere, and male-dominant cultures, all giving historical evidence that Yang Culture and Yin Culture are still issuing exclamations about ecological wisdom v. economic serenity. Which, I think, brings us back to the ecological purpose of this EcoTherapy Win-Win Game design project.

So, what questions and concerns and resonance does all this evoke for you?

Prophetic Water

In the recently published Death of a King: The Real Story of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior’s Final Years, Tavis Smiley reminds us that living a prophetic and integral life does not result in winning popularity contests. While prophets may become mystics, saints, and geniuses post mortem, Dr. King was no exception to the historical rule that no prophet is broadly welcome in his own time.

This thesis reminded me of a Taoist aphorism:

Who receives unto himself the calumny of the world

Is the preserver of the state.

Who bears himself the sins of the world

Is the king of the world.

[Translation by Lin Yutang, 1948, Random House, NY]

 

While Dr. King had gained broad support for his positions regarding racism, as he retained a consistent ethical voice in support of equal rights for women and against the culture of violence and war epitomized in the Vietnam War, he would have had increasing difficulty had he ever aspired to elective office. His allies in D.C. resented Dr. King for biting the hand that they believed had fed him more than sufficiently already. His African-American clergy colleagues often did not appreciate King’s views on the rights of women in society, much less within their churches.

Both Mr. Smiley and Laotse speak to the creative tension between powerful prophecy and effective redemption. The strength of prophecy for redemptive effectiveness, to support regenerative change, becomes compromised by cultural dissonance. Too much cognitive dissonance is dismissed as insanity or marginalized as appropriate for the saint and martyr, but not realistic for universal human nature. Yet as redemptive comprehensiveness is softened, contained, diminished, the prophetic voice is softened for more confluent ears.  Regenerative potential can be largely residual potential; less incarnated.

The cutting edge of regenerative optimization is a rationality that ebbs the flow and follows the flowing-confluent edges  around, and eventually through, the ebbing knots of cultural dissonance. Inviting society into a more rational future becomes more effective through the weakness of optimally ebbing and flowing water, energy; both listening carefully and summarizing astutely the echoes and distresses within historical and cultural trends.

 

There is nothing weaker than water

But none is superior to it in overcoming the hard,

For which there is no substitute.

That weakness overcomes strength

And gentleness overcomes rigidity,

No one does not know;

No one can put into practice.

[Ibid, p. 306]

 

Perhaps no “one” can put water’s wisdom into practice because the flow of regenerative energy is intrinsically interdependent, swelling where there is confluent and sure flow, and cautious and much slower, gently inviting more positive and inclusive discernment, where the diverse sprays of mutual dismay remain more complexly knotted. But, gentle invitation is the land of the facilitator, and not the stand-alone prophet. Active peace-making walks between these two worlds–which Dr. King did rather better than most of us.

Dr. Taowl Delivers Commencement Reverie

Our children learn to deserve the parents they get, which is why parents deserve the children they raise.

We need each other less when we love each other more, for who we are now, of course, but also for who we are potentially, in the future. Not one or the other; both.

Because, whether we do, or do not, love our children, or anyone, regardless of species, whether currently alive or not yet, or already gone into their optimal potential, they will trust our actions and passivities regarding their potential value to us, and to themselves, while discarding our words on this subject, which primarily stimulate cognitive dissonance for any child; when not delivered with compassionate mindfulness.

A bit of wisdom from the elders has traditionally gone a a long way toward what is typically the end of a very short attention span.

What Taoists, and maybe other current and ancient spiritual/religious traditions, metrically and nominally presume is a Positive Teleological Faith, and its corollary, that we are intrinsically interdependent in a profoundly evolutionary way toward an Omega Point that strongly suggests, implies, predicts that we will arrive in the future back with our Original Intent. This has an intergenerational cyclic dynamic, our kids treating us with some echoing disdain, “I’m too busy trying to scheme my way toward a more leisurely, and preferably more richly abundant, future than I am about your future right this minute, so please go play amongst yourselves,” that came their way when they were maybe about the ages of 3 to 12, when we finally notice that they are going to be leaving us in a minute and our relationship habit-culture holes are already entrenched. Each generation wrestling to optimize our story by minimizing dissonant relationships, especially primal relationships, like

mother-child, as benign Mother Earth and benignly developing parasites

father-child, extended family,

oldest v. youngest child, middle child ,

intrinsic genetic traits such as regularity of heart beat and lung capacity

strength of eyesight, and foresight, more generally

affective responses to sensory input such as touch

sight,

sound,

smell, taste,

pain-suffering, mutual caress,

restraint, embrace

aptic sense of positive mutual confluence (especially pre-sight/sound) older-brained, pre-bicameral;

information default functions as +0 OVER (-)1.00% QBit dissonance, chaos, Implicate Order (D. Bohm),

unraveling RNA-strictured (or enthymematic, see Robert Norton and David Brenders “Communication & Consequences”) information string self-reproducing, regenetic becoming-pattern of in-forming.

If we assume bicameral information processors are binomially optimally self-organizing, then Polynomial information (P) equals Not-Polynomial information (NP) as Bohm’s Explicating Physical Order reverse balances our Dark Relationship “Black Hole” Implicately Disrelationshiping backdrop of balanced functional/dysfunctional reverse relationship; the negative face of Yin e-functional relationship in our 4-equidimensional Universe. Just imagine an audio-video file of your life in reverse, including those earliest seconds–OK, now that’s cognitive dissonance so maybe we don’t really want to go there–try staying within your DNA’s Interior Landscape–not imagining your parents naked. That’s just yucky.

Did I say “my kids” out loud?

Oh.

Well, good, maybe they will hear that as an apology and peace offering; as well as a congratulations and my gratitude for being such patient teachers. May they learn more than they have taught me. They will be wise in deed, and perhaps even wiser in their words. Although this is, of course, most difficult to imagine.

Tao as Positive Teleological Panentheism

Toward a Positive (0) Soul Panentheism

 

This narrative attempts to define a three-dimensional cognitive spacetime within a 4 dimensioned Hilbert space optimized-meaning metric-system universe. This binomial Hilbert Space algorithmic structure assumes a 4-based metric system (one base for each of 4 universe dimensions) and +/- e-function  [agreeing with Euler and B. Fuller that information and metric systems are more primally about relational function (verbs) than nouns, so (0) Core function is the prime root of all form] bears a prime relationship to +/- pi-squared diametric form.

 

DEFINITIONS toward a Positive Teleological Theorem

 

Theorem: Exegetically “True” [+1] that a conjecture could not be “False” [-0]

 

In-Formation: enthymematic potentially confluent synchronization in an explicating (David Bohm) positive trajectory [+e-function]

 

Ex-Formed: NonPolynomial side of binomial +/- information axial-polar implied (David Bohm), predicated, ergetic-ionic gravitational [B. Fuller]  relational structure.

Dark Relationship (Hole) is  spacetime chaos, or shadow, universe.

Hilbert Space relational geometric constants liminally prime-bind, and optimize cognitive orthopraxis, physical relativity within logical/rational limits of consciousness and, therefore, metric structure.

4-Based diametric (binomial) positive teleological assumption. For now, the best I can do is an analogy. Imagine that there is a Tree of spacetime evolution and that the human species’ bicameral mind perceives the tree growing up toward the sky as Physical Universe, and the tree growing down toward the (0) Core of ergetic spin as Metaphysical Universe. The metaphysical roots of this Positive Teleological Evolutionary Tree are our Species’ nutrient/composting DNA string, unweaving all the way back and within Dark spacetime toward the origins of RNA, which may be the beginning of spaciated time (see Julian Jaynes on the ethological evolution of our bicameral information processors and his correlated evolutionary theory of space perception deriving from a more primal temporal aptic/synaptic  relational awareness) differentiating Self [-0] from Other [+1].

0-soul theorem: Gregori Perelman and Group Theory work by William Thurston predict no more than 4-binomial +/- geometrically balanced ellipses, in 0 through 4 prime dimensions.  Within each ellipse, we follow Buckminster Fuller in heuristically assuming universal smooth-structure. His Trimtab greatest effect with least dissonant loss design principle also intends to follow systemic tipping points to minimize disvalues, irrationality, insanity, through a 0-Core Vector/Vortex. Fuller assumes metric information systems express relationship, including potential change, more primally, and significantly, than being about algebra’s variables, nouns, nomials. Math is about function more primally than nomial form. In this he follows Euler, so that Fuller’s 0-soul core vector might be expressed as +e/-e diametric binomial (0) Core Vector/Vortex, radiating and synergizing a 4-Based fractal universal Omega Point (borrowing from Teilhard de Chardin).

According to this 0-soul theorem’s smooth-structured assumption, dense analogical geometric corollaries follow:

This latter corollary suggests that Bayesian trend analysis, using +1/-0 polynomial assumptions, are also binomial assumptions of Positive Teleology and thermodynamic magnetic polarity balance. This may be why the combination of QBit stage analysis of potential information, especially as structured in the development code of the Higgs Boson, and Bayesian statistical analysis predicts an e-function for Bohm’s implicate order as ex- or un-forming. Potential information loses a geometric 4-dimensional rational structure beyond nature’s RNA-coded accessibility to deductive reason and commodification capacity. Irrational numerics are not prime relationship balanced, by definition. Prime and irrationality are mutually self-definitive and refining, like polynomial and not-polynomial language processing trends.

Not-polynomial information (NP) = appositionally reversed-binary polynomial information (P) relationship. P and NP are digitally vector/vortex balanced polarity expression. If so, we might predict that Continuous Quality Improvement information system codes for network improvement might look something like

Bicameral mutual positive/negative feedback between two information processors would start here, with +1 representing +111, and -0 representing -000. Within each information bit lies a Dark Relationship Fractal Vortex implicating within each individual bit’s 4-binomial Byte familial boundary:

+100 = -011 [and F = -G for full musical resonance, just as +U = -C within the RNA information fractal]

Prime octave thermodynamic balance assumes +e/-e constancy which is binary system expressed as +e radiance (up and out) = -e ergetic diastolic function (down and in) as gravity.

Information is to exformed noise as Prime Relationship pattern-trends are to irrationally patterned algorithms. For Fuller, non-sensical (not sensory-information frequency prime rooted) for humans as a species to actually use for optimally inclusive effect.

 

Panentheism: Binomial (Spirit/Nature = Down/Up = Within/Without) Metaphysics/Physics mutually regenerative and informative enthymematicism. This has to do with the appearance of temporal reversal between deductive and inductive learning. Our Right, older-brain, hemisphere perceives prime relationship in reverse spatial-temporal sequence and order. Metaphysics is within Earth and within Self, and Physics is what happens on and above Earth’s skin, in my exterior landscape of Other.

Enthymematic is before and yet within the relationship between two nomials, variables, nouns, verbs, memes, paradigms, paths, systems, universes; like an interior and exterior fractal Janus-faced relationship between before and after a spacetime event. (Please see Robert Norton and David Brenders, 1996, on enthymematic communication strings, and the laws of interactive relationship-string development.)

In Positive Teleological Panentheism, God-Physical Universe emerges as WeSelf = +1.00% while

Individuating Person–my “Self”– is an emergent but temporally-constant-presence, 4-dimensioned; a cognitive mind Identity-Universe metrically expressed as a combination of Planck’s Constant meets Positive Teleological Prime Relationship meets Turing’s incomplete search for a logically optimized information processor design meets a double-bind event horizon of the holographic principle in string theory. This is self-consciousness of a “Self” identity = +/-(0.00-Temporal-Centric)% = -(1.00)% spacetime eisegetical awareness (basically Polanyi”s Personal Knowledge) is implicately coded with a binomially balanced normative original instruction to follow natural systemic assumptions for  smooth-structured positive teleological orthonormative optimization .

This Self is, in Group Theory, a (0) prime-rooted binomial information universe, +e/-e-functionally balanced.

God as WeSelf Universe is bicamerally human functioned in the Right hemisphere, older brain. For important work in this area Julian Jaynes’ work on the evolutionary ethology of bicameral development, essential to the development of  consciousness, 3-dimensional spatial awareness, language, and symbolic abstraction, is well-complemented and updated somewhat by the more recent work of David Abram.  Especially note the evolutionary functional implications for “Other” synaptic messages as the exception to our RNA-Codex default setting of +U as aptic-sustained–probably something like hibernation, at some point in our species’ history.

WeSelf as Other+Me identity is positively [+e] functional, congruent, confluent in the Left hemisphere–the resting place of deductive reasoning and bicameral self-consciousness.

Left-brained conversation with Right-brained may be + Teleological default or (-)Teleological corrective, but is usually somewhere between positive-deductive-synaptic and negative-inductive synchronic. Fuller’s word is synergetic to describe those events in which these two cognitive threads (deduction and induction) recognize each other. His precession, refers to the diastolic half of an active diastatic enculturative and regenerative trend. Diastolic is generally understood as an ergetic-gravitational pull inward toward an appositional synaptic stasis, which is synaptic-fractal for RNA’s living natural string system. Diastolic-aptic-precessive-trends are rests between beats, breaths, and moments of mind-consciousness, or self-awareness.

Reverse polarity causes appositional disorders. Autism is the full spectrum of dissonance between Right and Left hemispheric message transfer anomalies within our bicameral  multisensory systemic information transfer economy. Left sensory receptors propose, while Right message receivers dispose using permacultured principles of complementarity and subsidiarity. Cognitive dissonance is the result of the chronic incapacity to synchronize receptor and information processor messages which may be associated with any one, some, or all of our senses (taste, touch, smell, hear, see). The Right hemisphere functions exegetically with +NP (essentially, in logic, a double negative double-bind; in photography, the negative development enthymematic toward the development of a positive image) code frequency balance assumptions for sensory forms, functions, and frequency rhythms.

Dissonance between hemispheres may occur from very high-frequency receptors through very low aptic-default expression, from schizophrenia through cognitive limitations approaching flat-line morbidity. Generally we reserve the term “autistic spectrum” for those who are on the low-moderate through high-functioning portion of the bipolar chronically-disassociating spectrum. Critical event bipolar disassociations are more likely for those with Fetal Alcohol and others with chemically-related bipolar understories. In other words, we are all normatively bipolar but we use the word “bipolar disorder” to refer to issues related to critical event dissonance between right and left hemispheres. We usually diagnose “autistic spectrum disorder” when right-left dissonance  expresses chronically, as well as critically, and within moderate to high-frequency sensory receptor issues.

A double-bind boundary functions normatively for maintaining individual constant identity within any one individuating metaphysical (binomial) information universe; any one person, or bicameral information system. The double-bind line between deductive-left and inductive-right awareness may be symbolized as the line between polarities; the line we draw between numerator and denominator, the line within the % icon, between + and (-), between Other and Self and between the appositive fields in 2-dimensionally expressed digital binary fields, and algorithms use “=” or not-so-equal signs.

Teleology: The Positive human-nature speciated faith that we will continue to evolve toward mindful compassion, where purpose and meaning connect, as do longing and belonging, becoming syncs to being, and individuation (a life-long maturation process) joins WeSelf  identity, as ontological form meets phenomenological function. Our species’ cultural evolution history from our earliest DNA-emergent string to the present day is mythologically and analogically articulated  as variations on the Golden Rule and Golden Ratio and Golden Fleece theme.

According to BuckyFuller, a deeply creative functional design is not only an evolutionary paradise for the designer but an Omega Point (de Chardin) to which we point as a Species through discovery of first or prime principles of nature. A prime principle would encompass and transliterate the relationships between our prime laws of physics and metrics and information. Indeed, a theory of everything, or at least a theory of information itself; an explanation of the unfolding relationship between form and its creative, regenerative, function. This is the point where we can satisfactorily connect the original purpose and source of informing purpose with what form means.

What is the ultimate function of form itself? is answered by looking back through evolution to when form began. For each of us, and for himself, and for our species as an information string stretching back to the original event of RNA self-regenerative capacity, Fuller’s answer was to become most fully who WeSelf are, finding optimized personal integrity within Universal Intelligence synergy by following the greatest effect with least dissonance principle of positive TrimTab adjustment. This is our becoming process toward a state of increasing balance between not only Left and Right personally, but as a species, within an RNA information-regenerative string. As more recently evinced in emerging theories of what lies behind Positive Psychology and the effectiveness of the Positive Deviance Initiative (www.positivedeviance.org), greatest sustainable complementarity with least dissonance for inclusive subsidiarity is our becoming process toward a state of increasing balance. Fuller’s active optimization through Trimtab intent and practice, also found as fundamental to Permaculture Design, is transculturally accessible through mindfulness of our richly diverse complementarity (within universal WeSelf) optimally sustained by our passionate gratefulness for our mutual equity of subsidiarity (as Self, mutually regenerating individuation and incarnation of WeSelf).

We see this normative definition of equity fractally expressed in natural system development, such as the four seasons of spin, life, and learning, as well as the emergence of the hydrogen atom from helium, perhaps a predication of the 4-dimensioned emergence of +e/-e-cubed, perhaps predicating+U/-C, predicating +We-synaptic/-Self-aptic, predicating Explicated Natural Universe Order/Implied Spiritual Metaphysical Universal Mind (Fuller’s Intelligence) as self-consciousness of Me-Identity, predicating

+1.11%/-0.00% may become a 4-Based metric thermodynamic balanced dimensional proof that P cannot be unequal to NP if we can optimally assume that +1 = -0 within binary binomial digital systems. And, a significant corollary for our iconic human nature, that for every +1 explicating, informing QBit we are invited to comprehend a -1 QBit implicated order of exformative, reversely-positionally functional fractally organized place-holder, a mind-space WeSelf regenerating spacetime WeSelf, as without, so within; exterior and interior landscapes become mutually +/- self-referencing.

Positive (P), then, is not-negative (NP) information as Yang-Yin prime relationship emergent double-bind balance.

 

Yin-Exformation devolves, recovers, in an enthymematically prime relationship with Yang’s positive information-uncovering events. -0 predicates +1 and -0 is the enthymematic binomial predicator of the possibility of +1QBit = +e-functional informing event AND

+/-0 QBit also stands equidistant between -1 QBit, a –e-dysfunctioning irrationally noisy and dissonant appositional balance that is invisible to Left or Right hemisphere alone–yet abundantly obvious when looked at stereophonically and thermodynamically together; -0QBit without a positive-balancer devolves toward an implicating -1.11% Dark Non-relationship C-aptic Codex of Self without Other, which cannot possibly exist.

Taoist Commons of Perma-Passioned Design

Mindful justice and compassion emerge together, not necessarily compassion from justice, or justice from compassion–both evolve together in each culture, like a culture growing across time.

Both justice and compassion emerge from essential human relationships of equity and balanced power with Other, anchored in the universal (0) soul we share, in the same sense that we share RNA across all living cells. Compassion and justice are most abundantly incarnated when they remain balanced between confluence and diversity. Too much confluence breeds totalitarianism; too much dissonance brings a level of individualistic human entitlement enculturation that results in our marginal comfort/discomfort controversies about power deposits, inequities, “power-over” intentions, and concentrated marginalization, and growing inequities, concerns about the future and “hidden” agendas of competitive, exclusionary intent, slowly emerging from their closets.

By way of contrast with this cacophony, our diverse and healthy “Commons” permaculture leans toward cooperative solidarity and inclusiveness when planning, and designing, and using, and harvesting, and planting, and maintaining ecosystems. Abundant healthy “private” culture leans toward self-challenging, stretching solidarity, a type of interdependent diastasis within an encultured spacetime-string. Solidarity and team-building are normative for the Permaculture Generation when planning our messages, homes, and vocations. Our Formative Principle of Polycultural Complementarity includes the functional optimization process beginning with mindful awareness (noticing), yielding facilitation, yielding mentoring, yielding replication, yielding positive-cooperative subordination to the Commons we regenerate together.

In PermaCultural Design, aboriginal cultures, metaphysics, teleology and theology, there is this question, or expectation, usually implied, of Original Intent. This question is more primordial, assumed, enthymematic to the question of life’s meaning or purpose. Original Intent goes back to mindfully discerning the infrastructure of meaning and the purposes we practice, and learned prior to our bicameral capacity for ethical intelligence.

Dr. Robert Norton (Communication & Consequences: Laws of Interaction) refers to the communication of our own Original Intent as enthymematic communication; it is richly, even optimally, effective and nutritious for building and maintaining relationships. Enthymematic means before the syllogism, or meme, or language. It is positively and integrally predicated without having historical explanatory (deductive) support. Without it, no hope for positive relationship emerges. This enthymematic Original Intent  diastatically embraces/embues a word, a message, with efficacy–the power of potentiated relationship. The projected right message for the right person at the right moment balances hope for future confluent response with positive teleological faith in a (0)-centric +SelfIdentity = (-)OtherIndividuation dipolar complementarity (see Julian Jaynes on the ethological and evolutionary function of symbol and language development; also David Abram, The Spell of the Sensuous).

Analogically conflating these diverse paradigms, they each suggest that the Original Intent of information and creation is gratitude as the essential response to the possibility, the hope, the grace the karma of positive/confluent relationship, connection, having a new power with Other. The opposite of gratitude can be non-violent intent, but lead to dissonance, dismay, and even violence within spacetime practice.  Violence and gratitude are mutually defining appositionals, as are confluence and dissonance, Yang and Yin, justice and compassion. Enthymematic communication is rooted in active hope and peace toward confluent power with another. Rich dialogical encultured strings of communication are positively expressed; radiating minimal  negative implications, assumptions, reaction, or intent. They tend to inclusively sweep in their analogical value family–similar models, metric systems of measurement and calculation, design elements, gestalts, coincidental scientific paradigms, and arts and humanities paradigms, into a re-ligioning constellation of Permacultural Enthymematic Awareness, graced ecologies of compassion underlie ecological economies of justice, yield further graced ecologies of positive hope, then faith, then love, then global positive teleological comprehension of what our shared vocation has always been; what was originally intended.

Our positive ethical value system is rooted in the hope of mutual gratitude; active abstinence averse to dissonant violence, emerging from aptic non-violence [kind of a precameral positive-neutral-withdrawn position; the opposite of synaptic–see Julian Jaynes on the evolution of self-awareness out of an original undifferentiated aptic awareness, emotively and integrally (0)-value-centric  +/- neutral.] While non-violent communication is an important step toward inclusive effectiveness, recognizing its more explicated, positive, expression as active-peace (rooted in mutually prehensive grace) brings hope that my flowers are “Other’s” eisegetical flowers and “Other’s” weeds are exegetically known, mutually understood, as “my/our weeds.” We do our best when we all see our mess as doing the best we can to leave the mess behind.

Original Intent in human terms is gratitude. Original Intent in physical regenerative, creative, terminology is increasing harmony, or confluence, or therapy; which also decreases disease, dissonance, toxins, pathology, irrational anomaly, Left-brained dominance, but only to the point where the values of harmony and inclusive diversity are equally expressed as the bond of compassionate fairness, the best we can do within the relative imbalance of currently informed (+) Binomial RealTime, within (0)-soul Vector/Vortex Universal Magnetic Balanced SpaceTime. This is our positive teleological pilgrimage toward ecological and economic equity, where all polynomial information (P) equals implicated reverse-appositional predicated, but currently impossible to RealTime incarnate due to analogical irrationality, lack of confluent temporal-affective Codex  (NP).  We exegetically share these NP weeds and watering them is what we call insanity.

My family is stressed by the constant in-my-face neediness, in-my-ears loudness, in-my-heart oppositional expression of the Fetal Alcohol communication system with whom we live. The house shakes as she bounces hour after hour.

On the other hand, we also have the contrary grace of Angelman’s syndrome in our youngest son’s special practice of living in the present, not judging, but accepting with gratitude the presence of his family as a primal source of nurturing within his aptic nest of non-linguistic awareness. He is our resident guru of gratitude, nurturance, and well-being. When our daughter’s Fetal Alcohol is too much, we do well to spend extra time with my son’s ever-confluent presence, and do as he does.

Even so, too much internalizing of Yin-son’s aptic awareness could lead to an entropic state of hibernation, to affective withdrawal rather than the continual oscillation between the graced positive ecology of awareness and our genetic learning toward a re-balanced fair Commons of active tribal and globally-speciated peace. Learning to fly together, rather than fall, apart.

The Taoist Doctor of Ministry Proposal

Greetings:
I hope you might let me know if you have any interest in a Doctor of Ministry project that would essentially blend M. T. Winter’s work in Quantum Theology with the positive teleological assumptions implied by Buckminster Fuller’s “Synergetics”, which he defined as equivalent to an ecology of love, and/or grace.
While this may be more appropriate to the Doctor of Philosophy program, I am personally more interested in its holistic and feminist applications to at-risk populations in Connecticut, than I am Fuller’s Theory of Regenerativity, as an obscure, but certainly holistic, metaphysical system.
Whatever you think best for Hartford Seminary, and opportunities to link this dissertation/research project with current Hartford Institute initiatives, is fine with me.
Synopsis:
There appears to be a moment in every religious tradition when human enlightenment comprehends why the threshold to paradise requires absolute ego-purgation. Two metric systems theorists who may exemplify this level of comprehension are Buckminster Fuller and Gregori Perelman, of Group Theory fame. Yet the underlying positive teleological assumption that we are, each and all, better as holonically related to an omnipresent and omnipotent Universal Intelligence is as old and culturally pervasive as the Golden Rule. Doing to Environment as we positively hope, with gratitude, Environment will regenerate me is predicated on a rational belief that each of us is systemically related to Environment. The Universal Intelligence Brahman and the CoCreator Atmanic “Ego-Self” are primally related as
  • Yang to Yin,
  • quarks to leptons,
  • Positive-Deviant +1.00% trend-analysis to Negative-Anomalous (+/-)0.00% Axial Binary Assumption,
  • In-Formation is to Dis-function,
  • Explicated Polycultural Nature is to this implicately (David Bohm) structured PermaCultured Design,
  • Polynomial  regenerative energy string algorithms are to Non-Polynomial dissonantly irrational information dispersion, or decomposition

If this adage-meets-analogy way of seeing the prime relationship between natural and spiritual systems proves to be scientifically and metrically accurate, pastoral and sociotherapeutic implications abound. One example of the richly abundant wealth of this perspective is the interesting work within Permaculture Design’s “Interior Landscape” of self- and people-care, and this Design’s economic/ecological equity-normative value system. Nutrient flows through our constituencies may be positive resources and/or negatively dissonant and toxic when sustained, tending toward systemic effects that are increasingly volatile, climatic, chaotic, and, in some teleological perspectives, even demonic. Positively confluent deviance is the opposite perspective from that captured in Cognitive Dissonance Theory. The socio- and eco-therapeutic advantages of a Positive Teleological Assumption run rampant through
  • Positive Psychology,
  • the brilliant Positive Deviance Initiative’s missional effectiveness for developing sustainable, indigenously-resourced, well-being systemic change (www.positivedeviance.org),
  • the Ecology of inductive Grace as profoundly balanced with Natural Law and deductive Logic,
  • and may even offer a theoretical and dynamic explanation for the apparent strength of Feminist Psycho-Social Therapy (see Laura Brown, “Subversive Dialogues” as an excellent example).
Financial incentives for Hartford Seminary may be equally generous.
  • The proposed CT Youth ReGenesis EcoMinistry Project may fit confluently with the Association of Theological Schools’ “comprehensive initiative on global awareness and engagement,” currently funded by the Henry Luce Foundation.
  • An information systemic implication of Regenerativity Theory may be that Polynomial Information equals Non (or “Ex”)-Polynomial Information. A mathematically and teleologically satisfactory theorem proving this conjecture of metric equity could qualify Hartford Seminary for anywhere from one to seven million dollars in Clay Millennium Challenge awards, pending two years of juried acceptance. Research in this area would also be of interest to the National Science Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
  • Engaging the Hartford Institute as the research center for the proposed CT Youth ReGenesis EcoMinistry Project could attract both private and public-sector philanthropic and social-investor interest, and serve as an international prototype for synergetically developing interreligious communities of mindful practice and Appreciative Inquiry (www.centerforappreciativeinquiry.net). As an active member of the National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation (NCDD), I am certain that there would be considerable interest in many academic departments throughout Connecticut and beyond. This proposal is essentially about dynamically balanced communities of spirit-nature discernment. There are global and national political, legislative, policy, and public governance “practice” implications.
  • Finally, I believe it may place in regenerative context the issue of growing and sustaining faith-filled communities, individuals, and culturally-informed species. In this light, all the current Hartford Institute research projects might be theoretically informed by Regenerativity Theory and its Positive Teleological Assumption.
When I last talked to David Roozen about the feasibility of entering the Doctor of Ministry program, I still lacked two essential resources to proceed.  One is capacity to pay tuition and fees–which remains problematic, although I believe I could generate far more than that through research grants and fellowship income should you be willing to take that risk with me. The other was a ministry site. Last week I was offered the part-time position of Chaplain at the Sustainable Farm School, entering its fourth year with a relocation to the 400 block of Farmington Avenue, West End, Hartford (your neighborhood). SFS is an interreligious parochial–but never provincial–laboratory for youth formation in Permaculture Design, both Interior and Exterior Landscapes.
Attached is my final paper for Professor Roozen’s excellent class on change-agency within communities of faith. In it I took some analogous liberties with M.T. Winter’s Paradoxology, which I hope will resonate; and not cause more dissonance.

First Stage: Urgent Need for a Climatic Trend Reversal AND Grateful-Mindful Leadership

 

The most gratifying attribute of cyclical and self-reproducing Living Systems is their permanence, their lack of ending. Their greatest weakness is the reverse view; there is no place in particular to begin to tell their story.

 

Connecticut is in disarray. Faith in the future evaporates with the aquifer, and healthy air and soil and lives. The sense of urgency, not for more random change, but for socio-economic and ecological transformation, emergently grows toward its own ominous conclusion; Business As Usual is dying.

 

The voluntary, and sometimes involuntary, exodus of the Millennial Generation from our places of formation–schools, temples, churches, farms, skilled labor guilds, extended families and small villages—leads to a healthy heuristic assumption that our need for urgency is sufficiently tilted toward a new “highest and best use” Search status.  As an emergent post-millennial community of (0)-Carbon Footprint Faith, perhaps we are ready to re-link (re-ligion) our PermaCultured Golden Rule/Ratio Traditions to our Left-Brain’s favorite child, Deductive Scientific Method.

 

The literature on organizing improvement within faith communities (and the term faithless community appears oxymoronic to anyone who has ever tried to live in the semblance of a sane community, so perhaps we can simply agree that any assembly of people deserving the appellation community also deserves to be thought of as a “faith community”) redundantly emphasizes two necessary ingredients for successful change, urgency and mindful-grateful leadership; leadership quality that is itself openly and inclusively responsive to constituents. While some emphasize urgency over effective leadership (Schaller, Macy and Johnstone, Gershon, Kotter) and others appear to emphasize  effective leadership over sense of urgency (McNeal, Bass, Schwarz, Dale, Atlee), probably we all agree that having both is optimal, and presumably necessary to sustain community spirit for revival into perpetuity.

 

The proposed D. Min. project topic, “Intentional ReGenesis: A Case Study in PermaCultured Youth Sustainability through EcoMinistry Formation,” is metrically and naturally rooted in Buckminster Fuller’s Theory of Regenerativity. On this map, the Dalai Lama’s definition of compassion will point toward a collective sense of urgency to relieve shared suffering. Our Polyculture Map also uses the Dalai Lama’s definition of mindfulness as the necessary avenue toward an effective leadership of prehensile, enthymematic, and diastatically engorged gratitude.

 

Fuller’s Metaphysical metrics and predictions regarding “an eternally changeless definition of all understanding,” translated into Taoist, Buddhist, and Trinitarian terminology, offer us the heuristic assumption that the most regeneratively balanced ecology is the one that is most sustainable and resilient through transformative change. We will define this Prime Relationship Balance as:

Compassionate suffering Yin (purgative awareness) = -0 Prime-Linear Appositional Information about urgent disvalue (Ex-Formative sociopathology beliefs), AND

Mind/grate-ful mutual leadership Yang (sublimation is defined as mutual-exegetical synergetic understanding) = +1.00% Prime Binary Information System Value

In other words: Greatest Effect (Yang+e) with Least Effort (Yin-e) Balances PermaCulturally when assets/strengths are recognized as gratuitous resources to overcome our current socioeconomic pathology, or weakness. This is a Yang/Yin holistic feminist-inclusively-balanced teleological ecology.

When Yang and Yin levels within any one ecosystem, or community, are in balance, then we have an optimal environment for self-perpetuating and sustaining (regenerative) Deep Growth.  Harmonious Tao-Centered trends facilitate multi-species’ (and multi-religious Traditions’) mutual nourishment, health, and well-being. Permaculture Design and Positive Deviance (PD) principles provide a ubiquitous and deep learning ecology through the development of language steeped in natural system metaphor, metric-numeric reiterative system-pattern development, and feminist/holistic therapeutic communication paradigms (David Abram, Julian Jaynes, Laura S. Brown, Miriam Therese Winter).

Second Stage: Cooperative Symbiotic Growth v. Competitive Linear Progress Myths

The literature on effective models for managing sustainable development includes some diversity of thought about how to best measure success. Are we about the business of growing in size, perpetually, across time, continuing to grow in numbers until the individual community, or paradigm, or belief system, or language, or species has created a monoculture? This sounds uncomfortably akin to Dr. Seuss’s parable of The Lorax. Alarmingly rapid changes in climate are teaching us that this way of defining human success points toward its own ultimate demise, bringing down most of our other-species allies with us. Basic laws of thermodynamic balance remind us that if the resources we expend outweigh the resources we take in on a sustained basis, then entropy describes our future. Our community’s most sustainable growth with least dissonance to the larger ecology may best be informed by a Deep Learning read of Fletcher Peacock’s Water the Flowers, Not the Weeds.

Much of the literature on growth of communities places more emphasis on qualitative measurements of success, or effectiveness. We might think of these outcomes as the slow, natural, rooting growth toward depth; becoming embedded in sustainable root networks of diversity and mutual enrichment (Dale, McNeal, Schwarz, Macy and Johnstone). To grow as a person of faith is to grow as a mutual minister embedded in a polyculture of EcoMinistry (Eco conjoins Economy and Ecology). Effective leadership follows growth in compassion; compassion emerges through the mutuality of cooperative, mindful, grateful development and stewardship. This natural systems analogical paradigm lies at the heart of Fuller’s Metaphysics of gratitude, belonging to the Commons, Spaceship Earth, (rather than materialistic reductionism, the memes of property and ownership), and the symbiotic, precessive, relationship-co-designing/desiring, trend of self-regenerative ecosystems.

Buckminster Fuller was  interested, in his later years, in a Theory of Regenerativity. In his Synergetics and Synergetics 2 (1975, 1979), especially Synergetics 2, he may have anticipated Gregori Perelman’s proof of the soul conjecture (1994) in Mathematics’ Group Theory, assuming n-dimensional symmetric, elliptic, structural boundaries-as-Vertex/Vortex Janus-faced Relationship. Hierarchically staged (folding and unfolding) relationships in a 0-soul Core Vertex Universe are isomorphic, and therefore mutually holonic.

It is precisely this symmetrical/appositional Information Codex as normative that may have connected, for Fuller, with the issue of Special Case Information Systems as the land of Physics. Fuller defines our Whole Systems Universe as: “the integral of all metaphysical and physical phenomena.” (1075.22, 1979)  Universe as a mental place of comprehended relationship AND the Exterior Landscape of physical/natural thermodynamic laws, AND an iterative conversation of mutual teaching-learning. Fuller believed that Polynomial Time and Space enjoy a self-perpetuating timeless P=NP equity balance. Information develops in ways that are normatively analogous to a Taoist description of Yang = +100% of Universal Natural Energy System and Yin = (-)100% of Universal Metaphysical System. Natural (Physical) systems thereby form the normative boundaries for (0) Balanced universal information system hierarchical-holonic structure.

When that underlying assumption is supported and celebrated by our bicameral humanity, then Earth and her inhabitants improve our teleological pilgrimage trajectory toward consonant/dissonant abundant balance. Faith and hope flourish in a 4-Based Deep Econometric-Ecology, and blossom through Original Instruction Code to resist not-thriving, lack of string-resilience, increasing Problems of Incommensurability, in a bionic-binary-balanced In-forming Trans-Analogizing Metric/Linguistic Communication System.

Fuller often notes that the precessive/recessive patterns of space/time are redundantly expressed in the basic organic and sub-atomic structures of natural energy systems. Fuller’s Figure 203.09 (1975) predicts the underlying Codex expressed in the Higgs Boson, the tetrahedral 4-Staged structure of logic and trigonometry, laws of thermodynamic balance, analogy, communication, organic system regeneration (the life/death/fertilization/new-generation cycles of plants, and the 4-Season Earth-Sun Cycle Rotation,  for example), RNA, octaves, and double-bind-fractals.

Fourth Stage: Aha! Insight and Fractal Synergetic Rhythm Metrics

It is interesting to speculate that Fuller may have, at least implicitly, predicted that a Millennial Generation would PermaCulturally become aware of the implications of his Theory of ReGenerativity. Eventually, when the springtime of  human faith becomes ripe for Regenesis, we might find a successful resolution of Einstein’s pilgrimage of only relative-success, where P and NP remain winterized as not necessarily symmetrical; yet we hope they reflect Tao.

Earth, air, water, and bio-systems are overheating and moving toward entropic loss of Information organizing capacity, which will reverse after political, economic, and religious leaders recognize the abundant comprehensive power of  (0) Balanced In/Ex-Formation as both normatively and metrically balanced.[1] In other words, if it were not true that Polynomial equals Not-Polynomial Information in reverse linear, hierarchical, and fractal-staged Prime Relationship sequence, then human comprehension would not be possible.  When we comprehend (Fuller’s parallel to the Dalai Lama’s universal “mindfulness”)  that Not-Polynomial Ex-Formation, in any (0) soul Prime Rooted Information Universe, equals (-)100% of Polynomial Deductive Logic Information pattern sequence, and rhythm, humanly cognizable in the eternal/permanent inductive moment.

Fuller provides us with a reverse linear-time rhythmic projection toward our immediate Aha! Experience in Figure 1130.24, pp. 452-3, in which the Second Millennial Generation rather miraculously, maybe even heroically, embraces the fundamental laws of thermodynamically balanced gratitude, ethically and naturally and spiritually, normatively and inductively, even synaptically. An ergetic un-forming, unfolding, abundantly diastatic retrovirus reveals her “anti-matter” Not-Self=NP. To comprehend the Commons as we would have the Commons sustainably communicate with Humans (certainly including Self), is to optimize nutritional and economic abundance, depth, and wisdom. The Commons, including metaphysically encultured pilgrimage Traditions back to our Original Instruction, teaches our teleological mission to ReGenerate Deep Ecology.

 

Stage Five: TrimTab Primary Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Principle of Greatest Effect for Least Effort: adhere to Golden Rule/Ratio

As mystics, polymaths, artists, architects, have been noticing from earliest shamanic proto-history to present, the greatest effect for least effort  fundamental design principle is a radically inclusive Golden Rule because we are all in this mess together (Macy and Johnstone). We literally and figuratively, normatively and metrically, nutritionally and bionically, naturally and spiritually, metaphysically and physically, are what we have absorbed from our progenitors; we absorb what is already potentiated (gratuitously prehensile, compelling, co-attracting) in the next Holonic Place/Moment.  When our Bicameral Species globally comprehends our eisegetical Internal Landscape of Graced Ecology and exegetical External Landscape are mutually reiterative[2], then Fuller predicts (and perhaps Teilhard de Chardin) a Cosmic Aha! Event. This diastatic cultural event follows the dramatic comprehension of sustainable and equitable abundance through balanced gratitude-mindfulness. Our mutual suffering emerges as the emphatic and obvious reverse of our optimized confluent wisdom. Socioeconomic pathology conjoins socioecological therapy.

Wisdom, then, recommends mutually other-optimizing intent and commitment to cooperate socioeconomically and ecologically with the Commons (these are Win-Win Game Theory strategies for outcome optimization), which is the Explicate-Order (David Bohm)  Exterior Landscape of our diverse polycultures, nutrient streams, communication systems. Grace-filled cooperative intent and practice evolves from our universally shared PrimeRoot Zero; a Deep Learning mutually-sustaining Core Vertex, liminally co-circumscribing a Feminist-Octave 4-Based Vortex.

We become abundantly sufficient, EcoMinistry balanced, when we practice our Species’ vocational trajectory back to the nutrient communication strings rejoining us to a future globally inclusive Gold-Standard Polyculture. This long-range, 8-generation, Original Instruction is now emerging through the moment-to-moment recognition of ourselves in grateful relation with Others, and SacredOther as the absorbed nutrients that In-Form “We-Self” identity.

 

Stage Six: EcoMinister as Dynamic We/Me Win-Win Facilitator

Christian Schwarz chooses empowering facilitative leaders as the first of his eight necessary qualities for Natural Church Development optimization. “These pastors equip, support, motivate, and mentor individuals,”…. “They do not use lay workers as ‘helpers’.” (p. 24) This is leadership operating in a cooperative transaction economy, and ecology. Capitalists and socialists, government regulators and “free” enterprise advocates alike need not apply for the role of Reverse-Millennial ReGenesis leader. Empowerment optimizes as grateful cooperation becomes equilateral, mutually initiated and received. This is a highly mindful and enriching cooperative value exchange—equal value for equal value. Enterprise is never free; there are always energy transfers in any endeavor, any change, movement, vocation, mission, business. Profit that only works one way is a distorted view; it lacks value-balance.

Leaders who realize their own empowerment by empowering others experience how the “all by itself” [TrimTab-post synergetic “gift” Yields derived from yoking GreatestEffect-TherapyStrength with LeastEffort-Pathology] principle contributes to growth. (p. 25)

Mutually empowering iterative loops are the economic-ecologists Positive Deviance way of advocating the benefits of designed-inclusion for optimizing cooperative transactions. Appreciative Inquiry (rooted in hope of mutual gratitude) within an intentionally diverse polyculture, is more likely to result in a long-term sustainably successful mutual-profit balance, than operating within a monocultural ecosystem. Positive Deviance selects for indigenous assets in response to urgent, and collectively shared, eco-pathologies. Cooperative value transfers intend win-win symbiotic value optimization—the emergent Ecology of Gratuitous/Gift all by itself Positively Deviant Evolution. This is the kind of reality that sounds like our most abundant purpose is to grow in mutual compassion and gratefully inclusive mindfulness, of “WeSelf” co-prehensile Awareness. The fruits of compassion are cooperative-oriented transactions, expressions of significant mutual gratitude relationships.

Schwarz further observes that empowering sense-builders appreciate bipolar balance between “goal” and “relationship” orientations. In his theological paradigm, too many of us are either imbalanced toward a technocratic Me-faith (YangSpirit) or a spiritualistic We-hope(YinSpirit).  It is the adept religious leader who is able to consistently self-and-other empower, keeping both her faith-in-self-optimization focus, and hope-for-prime-relationship development, in equipoised balance.

Our polymathic ReGenesis EcoMinister maintains an internal and external holonic landscape that compassionately reflects gratitude for self as part of other, through hope for other as part of self; a combination of the Golden Rule and the enthymematic solidarity-awareness that “we are all, most-gratefully, in this together.”  This is a solidarity that echoes the sacramental marriage bond, having a double-bind synergetic intent—but applied universally, radically, inclusively, embracing all species and all of nature.

Our millennial Positive Deviance facilitator transliterates the symbol-patterns within and between self and other during an inclusive pilgrimage toward a mutually re-discovered Universe of ultimate co-passion. This sounds like a good love thing. But, is this theology supported by what we discover in natural patterns of healthy development? This, after all, is the infrastructural analogy behind Schwarz’s thesis; we are an In-formation Bicamerally-Coded Language-string-reiteration Species of perpetually reincarnating nature-Events. He implies that  spiritual and/or metaphysical information is morphologically comprehended through recognition of incarnated natural elements, confluent and dissonant symbols, value exchanges, and their systemic relationship patterns, development sequences and stages. These natural elements are in dynamic evolutionary relationship, so we can notice nature’s patterns to improve understanding of our regenerating Universe, and perhaps vice versa.

The ReGenesis Project vision is that we are already an emergent Species of quasi-cooperative EcoMinister wanna-be’s. This Turning Point Generation faces a uniquely critical opportunity and is potentiated for this socioeco-equity transitional moment. Our hypothesis is that grace-filled apprehension toward a holistic teleological self- and world-view is more prominent within the Reverse-Bi-Millennial-ErgeticCusp Generation, and their PermaCultured RetroPositive Deviant elders. Further, our Project goal is to accelerate and democratize this Deep Grace/Gratitude Ecology through a variety of Dynamic Facilitation interreligious and secular youth leadership development venues. If we model a regenerative, dynamically inclusive process of Appreciative Inquiry, then the medium of dialogue will naturally revolve toward a mutually-held plan for regenerative Self-People-Earth development, with diverse paradigmatic applications—economics, creative design information technology, neighborhood revitalization, holistic health care, Time/Space v. Moment/Place autistic bipolar-affective dissonance therapy, Deep Learning pedagogy, green technology development toward 0 carbon footprint, improved non-violent communication practice, child, youth, and family well-being CQI policy reform, and public discernment/dialogue choice-making.

The Positive Deviance (PD) concept is based on the observation that in every community or organization there are a few individuals or groups whose uncommon but successful behaviors and strategies have enabled them to find better solutions to problems than their neighbors who face the same challenges and barriers and have access to [the] same resources.

Achieving the greatest effect with the least effort is, perhaps, the prime principle of Permaculture Design. Schwarz (logically confluent with Fuller, and Macy and Johnstone) refers to the economy of grace, or gratitude, as the all by itself principle; the emergent outcome of system regeneration. Abundant fruition, or fertility, of a system is not only greatest effect with least effort, it is also the evidence of what Buckminster Fuller calls emergent precession. Metaphysical precessions and all natural precession trending systems comprehend, or culminate, in a fractal moment of regenerative intent, given sufficient urgency and an adroitly facilitated Appreciate Inquiry learning culture. Precession is positive trend toward syntropy, synergy, forming symbiotic, confluent, harmoniously intricate networks of patterned relationship. Regenerative Leadership for a Global Millennial Community

Robert Dale, in Leadership for a Changing Church, claims we want leaders who make sense.  At first blush, we might be tempted to respond that we also would prefer spouses, children, neighbors, and even books that make sense.  To be fair, Dale further specifies leaders in sense-making as those who can effectively translate across paradigms and eras, and maybe even people, and scriptures.

 

Leaders provide continuity frames for between-the-times eras by showing what deserves to be preserved from the past and by creating what’s required of us for healthy futures. (p. 101)

 

This normative hope for post-modern religious leadership finds echoes in unexpected places. David Abrams describes the tribal role of the shaman as

 

the ability to readily slip out of the perceptual boundaries that demarcate his or her particular culture…in order to make contact with, and learn from, the other powers in the land. His magic is precisely this heightened receptivity to the meaningful solicitations…of the larger, more-than-human field. (The Spell of the Sensuous, p. 9)

 

In Genius 101, Dean Keith Simonton describes polymathic genius as an unusual ability to perceive patterns underlying paradigm perimeters. The polymathic religious leader maps patterns of confluence and dissonance across physical and metaphysical systems. Our Millennial shamans are paradigm and people transliterators in a Universe of symbiotic meaning development.

 

It is difficult to imagine what this string of abstractions would look like within one leader. William James argued that the incarnated definition of religious and spiritual genius is a renowned mystic or saint, or preferably both. For heuristic purposes, we might translate “shaman” as “Messiah,” operating within a defined historical-cultural information system.

 

  • Messiah:  Shaman, a transliterative adept with universal paradigms and languages, and diverse species;
  • Messianic Universal Field: Functioning optimally within an Open Set 4-dimensional sphere with (0) Core Vector soul  (see Buckminster Fuller and Gregori Perelman, and William Thurston);
  • Purpose of Religion/Spirituality: symbiotic meaning development.

 

Due to constraints of timeliness, let’s try substituting the word “compassion” for the two words “symbiotic meaning,” thereby synchronizing with the Dalai Lama’s, and perhaps Jesus of Nazareth’s teleological belief that “the whole purpose of our practice is to become more compassionate human beings.” (Beyond Religion, p. 183)

 

Messianic Leadership Purpose: development of compassion.

 

Even if all that does make sense together (and I have a dissertation thesis topic in mind that would investigate whether the hypothesis proposed is one that could be scientifically and religiously and/or metrically confirmed as “sense-making” or “True,” or not) what might it mean to say that our best and brightest spiritual leaders have the gift of transliteration?

 

To transliterate is to accurately exchange letters, words, information, thoughts, nutrients, into corresponding values of another language, or paradigm, person or information system. Transliteration is to translation as nutritious yogurt is towarm milk.  Transliteration unveils, decodes, what translation reveals. Transliteration comprehends the why of what translation understands as a correlation of meaning. When we put them together, something diastatically metamorphic occurs, a new pattern of symbiotic relationships across what had been two distinct entities.  Transliteration is the ability to translate, and accurately predict, emergent patterns across languages, individual organic systems, polycultures; each a type of Closed Set universe (or Group in mathematics and sociometrics) information system. The more adept at paradigm and person translation, the more compassionate becomes the leader; the more compassionate, the more adept at communicating with optimized sense-making, or mutual-meaning-creation, mindfulness, and effectiveness.

 

Christian Schwarz chooses empowering facilitative leaders as the first of his eight necessary qualities for Natural Church Development optimization. “These pastors equip, support, motivate, and mentor individuals,”…. “They do not use lay workers as ‘helpers’.” (p. 24) This is leadership operating in a cooperative transaction economy and ecology. Capitalists and socialists, government regulators and “free” enterprise advocates alike need not apply for the role of post-modern shaman. Empowerment optimizes as cooperation becomes equilateral, mutually initiated and received. This is a highly mindful and effective cooperative value exchange.

 

Leaders who realize their own empowerment by empowering others experience how the “all by itself” principle contributes to growth. (p. 25)

 

Mutually empowering iterative loops are the economic-ecologists way of advocating the benefits of local cooperative-based transactions with emergent win-win symbiotic value optimization. This is the kind of reality that sounds like our most abundant purpose is to grow in mutual compassion. The fruits of compassion are cooperative-oriented transactions and relationships of mutual gratitude.

 

Schwarz further observes that empowering sense-builders enjoy bipolar balance between “goal” and “relationship” orientations. In his theological paradigm, too many of us are either imbalanced toward a technocratic faith or a spiritualistic hope.  It is the adept religious leader who is able to consistently self-and-other empower, keeping both her faith-in-self goals, and hope for relationship development, in equipoised balance.

 

Our polymatic shaman maintains an internal and external landscape that compassionately balances faith in self as other, and other as self; a combination of the Golden Rule and the enthymematic awareness that “we are all in this together.”  This is a solidarity that echoes our theology of the marriage bond—but applied universally, radically, inclusively, embracingly to all species and all of nature.

 

Our millennial shaman transliterates the patterns within and between self and other during an inclusive pilgrimage toward a mutually discovered universe of ultimate compassion. This sounds like a good thing. But, is this theology supported by what we discover in natural patterns of healthy development? This, after all, is the infrastructural analogy behind Schwarz’s thesis; we are a system of nature. He implies that a spiritual and/or metaphysical information universe is incarnated as nature, so we can notice nature’s patterns to improve understanding of this metaphysical universe, and perhaps vice versa.

 

If an ecology of deeply balanced empowerment, internal to the religious leader, and external within the community’s culture, is fertile soil for our millennial shaman, then why,

 

Now for the good news: pastors of growing churches do not need to be superstars. Most of the pastors with the highest scores in our survey are little known. They generally provide us, however, with more helpful basic leadership principles than most of the world-famous “spiritual superstars.” (p. 25)

 

It would be interesting to analyze confluence and disparity patterns between “famous” spiritual leaders and “most helpful” spiritual leaders. On what basis does Schwarz establish transliterative ability; the gift of mutual compassion? Religious leaders are helpful, fruitful, to what end, for whom? Is the problem that famous-but-not-especially-helpful pastors are too goal-oriented or is the problem that the helpful-but-not-famous are too relationship oriented, imbalanced toward compassion for others? How do we  balance compassion for ourselves with compassion for others? The problem, and the opportunity, with polarities is they are mutually self-defining.

 

Even so, certainly the fields of geometrics, biometrics, permaculture design, thermodynamics, and binary systems theory would all agree with our Taoist friends that sustainable optimized values are richer when polarities are balanced, than when not.

 

Schwarz perhaps misses an application of an old design principle that favors greatest effect with least effort. It is only implied that the six phases of his transformative cycle may be as true for the shaman as they are for the shaman’s exterior landscape, the faith community. His Stage Theory is anciently known and recognized. Perhaps this is acknowledged in his Three Color Compass, but not mentioned in Natural Church Development. For simplicity, compare Schwarz’s Growth Spiral stage theory to Bloom’s Deep Learning Taxonomy and Robert Norton’s Laws of Interaction (Communication and Consequences):

Yang translates Schwarz’s “technocratic” and “goal-oriented,” while Yin translates “spiritualistic” and “relationship-oriented.”

 

The concept of leadership is directional and temporal, enhanced with analogical balance between one’s interior and exterior landscapes. This leader is pointing us to where or what end in the future, with what evidence that this direction makes sense? Schwarz is working toward regenerating a permacultured planet of post-modern leaders who are compassionate, cooperative facilitators. This translation expresses faith in leaders who share a deep eco-equity learning culture.

 

The millennial shaman’s mutual ministry is EcoMinistry. This core solidarity, that we are all gratefully in this together, catalyzes a synchronic evolution toward a compassionate mecca of mutual gratitude; in this life, future lives, a trans-generational continuity of re-ligioning, reincarnated from generation toward ReGenesis. To do as Jesus did, to in-form the Body of Christ, to be today our faith for tomorrow, we cooperatively incarnate into our regenerated future, with gratitude. Always with gratitude.
