The day our United Way

slurps some Reality Stew

competing for community support with the same constituency

we are teaching to compete with each other

for both community support and service.

Our United Way systemically grows

The day our Philanthropic Foundation

absorbs some permaculturing compost,

we will learn to ask whose foundation is this really?

Are we a Foundation of inclusive cooperation?

A Foundation with Golden Rule

applied to all species living now

and in our global future,

created by people

Whether my faith declares

resolving dissonance within this Great Transition season,

as Right-brained Yin inductively, eco-inclusively, leans

balancing her over Yanged Left-brain dominance

of ego-centric individualism.

 

Discovering spirit,

uncovering nature.

Nothing more,

How Am I Not Part of You?

In which sense am I not you

and those from whom we emerged together?

What does this leave,

only those into whom I emerge toward?

If so, in what sense

does our future incarnation

transcend life and death,

and, without biological progeny,

is my ecological Self more marginal

than self-perpetuating stuff of breeders?

 

My mind avoids such

non-ego-individuating limitation.

 

Do bioparents bear more mentorship authority

or stewardship responsibility

for our children’s future than do I,

adoptive only?

(Yet, repeatedly!)

 

My heart does not embrace

echoing reified eternity

after dying.

My heart wants

self-perpetuating climax,

cutting edge of surfing soaring belonging

singing,

regenerating in this ocean of Solar Systemic music,

and rhythm dance explicating memories

and full-functional imaginations,

night dreams and day design,

learning as we fly together

to create as we have learned

to love our children’s future.

 

I swim toward freedom

to do as eco-self wants,

to be what I most gracefully prefer,

to belong with whom and what I most long,

rather than what I can afford to purchase.

Evolving Messianism

Regenerative Orthopraxis as Messianic Teleological Function

 

Do Earth’s natural systems predict an emergent messianic reconnecting vocation between our natural environment and ourselves?

Permaculture Design has recently evolved from agrarian roots to notice, analyze, plan, and facilitate regenerating polycultural systems within our Interior Landscape as well as within Earth’s Exterior Landscape. Regenerative systems are living rather than static because they do not simply reiterate a prior systemic state, or Self-identity; they are more than simply self-perpetuating and self-defining systems. Regeneration, living systemic evolution, accumulates information extending from prior enculturing generations into the present. Biometrically speaking, this cumulative “permanent” information follows natural instructional messages from the continually reconciling, absorbent, salving, confluent logic of DNA/RNA development structure, and octave frequencies.

In Synergetics 2 (1979), #987.075, p. 322, Buckminster Fuller speculates that Universal Intelligence is DNA/RNA programming, the “cosmic-coordinate system to be embraced and accommodated by the epistemography of synergetics.” Fuller explains synergy as both love and ergodic, incarnating, formative incubation peculiar to living, regenerative systems. Optimal synergy and love are liminally outlined by dissonant, unsustainable trends, in both our External-organic and Internal-ecological Landscapes.

Messianic themes are culturally ubiquitous. “The state of the world is seen as hopelessly flawed beyond normal human powers of correction, and divine intervention through a specially selected and supported human is seen as necessary.” (www.wikipedia.org, Messianism) The cultural roots of messianism trace back to shamanic functions. Messianic intent bridges Earth’s degenerative dissonant suffering and loss with our future’s regenerative teleological purpose. Messianic fertility improves with multisystemic composting orthopraxis by permacultural prophets, designers, and synergetic system developers who not only practice and teach, but comprehend vocation as mutual mentorship–walking the walk together, while talking.

We need only change the messianic power source from divine intervention to integral multisystemic interventions growing out of Basic Attendance, or positively deviant noticing. Positive deviant mindfulness explores appositional relationships between ecological and economic values and disvalues within a stressed, sub-optimizing, environment or population.

Our shared messianic goal, as a species of permacultural mentors, is to optimize harmonious regenerative values, by actively encouraging our demons to diet; reducing dissonant disvalues and unraveling chaos, with over-stimulated trends toward monopolistic and over-crowded silos of marginalization and discontent; the weed-patch. Regenerative polycultures, Edenic homes and gardens, optimize with inclusively balanced values, functions, grace, incarnation, reconciliation. Intervention design analysis looks for tipping points and redundantly harmonious efficiencies in flow, function, form and pattern sequence.

Regenerative orthopraxis embraces a mutual-mentor “calling,” a creative exterior and interior  mindfully developing adventure in compassion. Deep permacultural ecologists follow a wu wei  ego-discipline toward a (0)-sum inclusive economy, a Win-Win strategic ecological vocation shared by all living cells.

For most of us this is about learning how to live a more cooperative and ecological life hoping to serve the well-being of our grandchildren’s grandchildren, as served by our grandparent’s grandparents, elder species and genetic cousins, stardust, back toward our Original Meaning as future’s polyculturally blooming Omega Point.

We evolve as messianic global interns born of, by, and for Earth’s teleological incubation.

Investing in Divestment

I become confused, and I so hope it’s not just me, by the ethical landmine of divestment.

Does purging myself of toxins atone for all my sins absorbing them? Does the divestment of a negative value create a positive value, and is it at least as positive as the negative was negative?

Should I, instead, stand among my kindred stockholders in sackcloth and ashes, repenting, perhaps a little self-flagellation helped along by the bewilderment of my fellow sinners about what may seem to them as excessive as a monk transforming into a crackling flame of protest?

Does quiet divestment optimize my opportunities and responsibilities for ecologically balanced values, where negatives greet positives as ancient appositive allies, like Yang and Yin, and space and time, identity and individuation, places and spaces?

Something about the stark simplicity of divestment feels unnatural, like deliberately choosing to ponder the monochromatic negatives of grayscale tucked inside a back cover of my favorite full-color family album.

Holding a stock to protest against whatever values and disvalues may be represented by that stock seems like a lively example of talking talk without walking in the way I am suggesting to others. Divestment is to mentoring as stockholder action is to lecturing others to not do as you have ever done yourself. Why not divest and then send out a memo:

Dear Fellow Publicans and Sinners,

Just want you to know I sold off my stock in Toxic Fuels and Chemicals, Incorporated, for the best price I could get in exchange for an investment in a poisonously unsustainable lack of future for our kids. I claim no moral virtue for doing what is so clearly in my own best interest, just because it also happens to be in your best interest as well. Nor do I mean to gloat over my continuing investments in self-serving corporate structures, rather than cooperative and sustainable, inclusive, and, by the way, icing on the cake, economically buoyant and resilient investment opportunities.

You see, when I finally realized why I want to divest from extractive short-term high risk markets, it suddenly came as quite the epiphany that I want to take that money and invest it in cooperative, long-term low risk and locally nutritious and sustainable enterprises. Rich opportunity and value, indeed!

Apparently eco-logical reinvestment policies and procedures are much less value-ambiguous than divestment quagmires, not only ethically and environmentally, but financially and biologically and sociologically, and, oh yes, teleologically too. The intersection of my experience’s meaning and our future’s purpose, to remember we all got into this incarnational mess together and we will each get out of it what we bring into clearing it up for ourselves and future generations.  As for the rest, it’s just a messy commodity investment confusion, searching for a wiser Left and Right brained balanced economy.

Economic Rights, and Not So Much

Does nature have the right to fly?

Apparently so.

We certainly do perceive flight function

within aviary ethereal nature,

air-travelers.

 

Does human nature have the right to fly?

Apparently not.

Perceiving flight as functional,

organically possible

and probably fun,

however compelling to my imagination

my ego-centric memory recalls flight

only in my dreams,

where eco-logic and ego-centrism

seek my synchronicity.

 

What rights and wrongs,

rights and lefts,

goods and evils,

could nature have,

apart from humane nature?

Are nature’s rights confined by natural laws,

like winter must not follow spring,

nor morning follow noon?

Yet winter does follow spring,

with summer and fall between.

Next dawn’s morning follows this noon,

with afternoon, evening,

and starlit dreamy memories of flight between.

 

Nature’s temporal laws

are rights with spatial faces,

Earth’s rights our laws

of permacultured regeneration,

and dissonant entropy,

a Tao of binomial temporal balance

in which after always follows before

and beauty emerges from

uglier times, frequencies, dysfunctions,

noise, chaos, suffering.

 

Yang and Yin

sing out and in,

convex-concave,

positive radiant light and night’s ergetic gravity,

balanced Left and Right economic functions

with competition square rooted in mutual gratitude’s roots

for win-win creative cooperation,

self-perpetuating moments of eternal sanity,

as ego-normics give way to eco-logic,

and spring warms winter’s dissonance

as winter’s hibernation regenerates fall’s winnowed harvest.

 

Eco-normic rights and wrongs uncover,

nakedly displayed for all to see

in ecological balance,

our polycultured paradise,

where night flight soars

and daydreams roar

our mutual delight.

 

It seems easier to be heard accurately

when choosing to sing with others

while helping us float downstream

toward shared values;

than struggle to successfuly shout at others

about why they need to improve their swimming practice and intent

toward my own hegemonic values.

 

Mentoring eco-centric souls

with compassionately mindful egocentrist comprehension

of regeneratively formed systemic history,

and evolution,

and enculturation,

and learning,

and faith,

and trees,

OK, any informating system,

like gardens and forests

and days and nights together,

and Left and Right hemispheric processors,

and years, and species,

and evolutionary paradigms about everything,

Facilitating ReGenesis

To facilitate perfect justice,

The Tao, or Tree, of Life, is iconic of, by, and for our EarthTribe. Her binomiality, her bi-generative development, Yang out and up branch and leaf production, Yin in and down taprooting precessive Implicating Systemic Order, symbiotically perpetuate and define our 4-dimensional (0)-sum economy and ecology of cooperative regeneration.

As we become a species of ambidextrous facilitators, drawing from the full polycultured compost of human experience, content, formation, we emergently understand our Messiah as our Natural System Teachers and Mentors. We actively hope to comprehend messianism as iconic of human naturalism. Cooling Earth’s climate requires deeper collective and cooperative roots of mindful compassion, diversely stretching toward globally active peace and love. Knowing what we don’t want, pain and suffering and suicide, teaches us what we do want. Just as knowing what we do want includes implications, predictions, about what we do not want to continue perpetuating.

According to Julian Jaynes, and followers, this emergence of Left/Right thermodynamic, reiterative, regenerative balance was the Original Positive Teleological Intent of our RNA-structured precameral synaptic/aptic information processing system. In other words, there is no new knowledge here; or no new knowledge is intended. Regenerativity Theory only intends to increase the self-comprehension of our bicameral species’ most permaculturally ubiquitous wisdom:

  • Golden Rule applies to all species, all space, all time.
  • Prime Thermodynamic Principle is greatest internal synergetic effect derives appositionally through least external dissonance and loss of gratitude, mindfulness, nurturing, caring, balancing the equity-value of  feminist and otherwise marginalized Yin cultural influence.

The Unfortunate Syrian Family: Child Welfare Report

Syria and her family were quarreling, a truly wicked row, if you know what I mean.  All her thousands of kids were at risk for survival.  This toxic home environment is both chronic and critical.
However, rather than bombastically removing them from their home, and lives, in some unfortunate cases, where Plan A has gone quite drastically wrong (I digress, with apologies, but perhaps we could learn a bit more analogously from experience?), I occupied their home with some of our best and brightest kids, so that each of Syria’s children now has a Virtual Mentor volunteer.
If any one, or more, of their kids is feeling threatened, or even just anxious about something, s/he contacts her/his Mentor, tells their Mentor what s/he is feeling, why she is feeling that way, and what she would like her parents to do to make it stop, if anything.
These Mentors will contact me if they get any calls.  Should I receive a call, and I really do NOT want to receive a call, I will go to their home, sit them down, and tell them which specific children called, how they are feeling, why they say they are feeling that way, and what they are asking the parents to do, or stop doing, to make it go away.
Further, I will wait to witness Syria’s response to her kids, and our kids.  So far, no calls.
