LightSpeed of Communion

I intended to say
when I was young
each day felt too slowly incremental
toward my generation’s time in Earth’s wiser sun,

But my ancient extended hand
keeps writing “exponential”
while incremental
paradox climates of Boomer
boring catastrophic dominance
over shadows summer’s equinox of burning
toxic sun.

I pretend to hope and think
I
and my generation
and my local community
could,
and even should,
invite Earth’s incremental exception,
a golden holiday
within sad degenerative climate history.

But my ancient retreading feet
keep reaching for an internal climate of acceptance
where no exception
could ever think or feel
interdependently left against right
relation.

Incremental eco-unlogical exceptions
to sacred business as everyday win/win left usual
in maturing might is more right
for youth’s wealthy individuation,

Where exponential future acceptance
invites positive climate deviance
in right’s past transgenerative roots,
meditative communal branches,
healthy flowering fluent seeds
of communication

Slowly emerging

for Earth’s most patriotic health empowerment.

To My Last Breath

When I was a newborn,
I had no experience to reassure me
my first gasp for air
would not also be my last.

Between that first second inhaled reassurance,
and now,
I have operated under a romantic assumption,
More clean and nurturing air will follow.

Now, I have enough post-romantic experience
to deter me
from assuming this next gasp
for healthy air,
for more time to listen for compassion
still surfing in and out
EarthMother’s warm bath of nurtured reassurance
will not also be my ego’s last.

My dramatic eco-memory’s first romantic breath
now also echoes my last timeless moment

Fully
ecstatically re-investing
away from ego’s autonomous wall
of lifetime erected identity
into a webbed forest’s nutritional re-memory
faithfully resurrected again
not autonomous,
unpropertied
unincorporated
unbreathing
more than me.

And I hope I will not be troubled
or even distracted,
by all those competing for air time breaths
assuming falsehoods of ZeroSum economies

Embedded SpringTimes

Perhaps we all secretly long
to be embedded in perpetual spring time.

My most entertaining pre-pubescent memories
of spring’s most sacred times,
when occasionally left
to my own leisurely adventurous pursuits
outside for further natural/spiritual embedded nest

Include a warm and sunny afternoon
unfolding on Saturday’s mid-western stage,
going to a pond
waiting on the edge of wild
lying on my belly
with my nose nearly touching

Her still surface waters
watching spiders
walk over Her
polliwog organic submarines
waving
going somewhere fins
propelling, with me,
into our Saturday afternoon
nutritional adventures

well-being entertainments.

Another spring Saturday,
perhaps closer to full pubescent

I ran far back into the RoundField
where I knew a solitary MotherTree,
like me,
busy getting dressed up
in Her fulling spring leaves
while I unbusily removed all my clothes
and climbed Her
full body hugging Her trunk,
embracing and thanking each sturdy
warm-used limb
all my forceful way to Her most sacred top

To look and feel together
across this green alfalfa field
with all surrounding trees
a deeply fertile ocean forest
green-radiant slumbering mysteriously back at us,
this happy solitary FlowSource
MotherTree and ResourceMe
unseen WinWin feeling together triumphantly
becoming Be

Indigenously embedding entertainments,
Memories much richer and deeper and older
yet naked and wider and younger
than anything I ever heard or saw mid-winter
coming from inside black and white TV.
