Final Evaluations

In what ways have nutritional

and health

and financial

and well-being values increased

over time’s past,

whether a quarter,

or a year,

or a decade,

or a lifetime,

or a millennium,

and in what ways have toxic dissonant disvalues

and decaying trends ebbed and flowed?

Where exactly?

For whom and for not whom?

 

How, when, and where have we reduced and increased

both short-term and long-term economic

ecological risk?

Why do you think so,

or not?

Do you use as evidence your own lungs

and heart,

eyes and ears and feelings?

And perhaps those of your family and friends,

your local community?

How about your country of origin?

What about as a humane race

to rejoin Earth’s Climax Global Tribe?

 

How is the larger DNA-regenerative fueled

branch of Earth’s Tree of Life coming along

right now as compared to

when trees were the most intelligent life-formed

diametric hierarchy?

 

And then there is the trunk and root system

of our entire polycultured and permaculturing

RNA-regenesis clan,

fractalling and crystalling and octaving,

folding and unfolding functions,

radically revolving and stealthily evolving.

 

Who is vulnerable enough right now

to truthfully teach us what they need,

who they need us to be for them?

Who is brave enough to listen?

 

How are we doing with our shared translation project,

syncing Eastern economies of karmic gratitude,

coincidental transactions of mutually bowing equivalence,

with Western stumbling incarnation

of more actively graceful ecologic?

Some might even say…athletic

Herculean powerful birthing pains,

inviting yin’s silent synergetic wisdom

to complement our yangish

left-brained deductive

languaged

metric

rhythmed

heart-beat

blood-flow ways

of reaching right’s proportionally loving order;

intuited

decoding and recoding DNA/RNA

functions and binomial frequencies of octave-tiered

information systems.

 

How is our New Millennium mission

to love all others

all species,

all space and time incarnations

and coincidental potentialities

as interdependent with ourselves,

to bring synergetic revolutions to this

nagging competition between

economic transactions and

permacultural relationships for growing eco-logical values?

 

Have we developed our prototype

for incubating cooperative deep and wide ecological proposals,

binomially designed to coincidently sync

with global information networks,

evolving cordless stringed formation,

we are what we absorb,

we are not what we dissonate?

 

How are we doing with combining our nutrient-value starved voices,

with chronically cash-starved voices,

performing our permaculture opera

for philanthropists and investors and policy makers,

butchers and weapons bakers and candlestick shakers,

kings and queens and fools,

knights and damsels distressed about each other,

each inviting mentors,

while shunning alien teachers,

optimizing ecological balance

by minimizing long-term life-investment risk?

 

Invest cooperatively in eco-confluent coincidence,

to divest of competitive ego-cognitive dissonance.

 

Open system radiant energy confidently absorbs

what gravity decomposes,

waiting for diastatic light regeneration.

Deduce from past natural systemic orthopraxis

what we induct from future’s optimizing intent.

Cooperative Philanthropy

The day our United Way

slurps some Reality Stew

we will change this name

to The Competition Way;

competing for community support with the same constituency

we are teaching to compete with each other

for both community support and service.

Our United Way systemically grows

a Divided Fail.

 

The day our Philanthropic Foundation

absorbs some permaculturing compost,

we will learn to ask whose foundation is this really?

Are we a Foundation of inclusive cooperation?

A Foundation with Golden Rule

applied to all species living now

and in our global future,

incarnated by our Elder species

for this regenerative purpose?

 

Are we a Philanthropic Foundation

created by people

who deeply cared about sustaining life’s integrity

for seven generations?

Are we more a Foundation of confusing competition

for scarce resources,

or a Foundation for regenerating abundant contentment,

goodness,

beauty,

wisdom,

optimized economic policies for cooperative

ecological systems of health and well-being;

for minimizing suffering and exploitive competition,

economic commodification of Earth’s natural elements and systems,

a Commons that includes the lives of human

racing to win before losing our dreams

of teleological faith?

 

Could we become a Foundation for optimizing public policies

for mutually cooperative mentoring

of vocational choice,

of permaculturally,

organically,

integrally,

multisystemically functional, maybe even deeply creative, families

and thereby communities?

 

We stand within this permacultural Foundation

for cooperative mutual-investment guilds,

and networks,

and Climax Communities

for growing global consciousness of eco-identity,

Earth Care as Self and Other Care,

designing our ReGenesis Foundation,

with both interior and exterior landscape applications,

both YinTime and YangSpace information eco-metrics,

mutually mentoring Earth’s polyculturally cooperative eco-logic.

Hosting optimized self-perpetuating

self-sustaining

self-defining regenerative spaces

for eco-logical cooperative choice-making

emerges a wise,

if maybe kinda spooky shamanic,

vocation.

Eco-facilitation mentors normative orthopraxis

with Optimally Continuous Quality Improvement (OCQI)

performance standard permaculture design

and Original positive teleological Intent.

 

While holding eco-normic actions,

natural systems emerge more fully, globally,

from well-composted soil.

Economic sanity issues diastolically withdrawn

from ego-dominant irrationality.

Whether my faith declares

our ecological spiritual rights of nature,

or my intelligence designs

my-our ecological natural rights of biometric function,

divestment from extractive commodity-rooted over-investment

predicts richer and deeper yields,

with less risk of loss and dissonance,

within cooperatively rooted diversity of Earth.

 

Economic systems sustain self-optimizing Trees of Life

when we invest every breath

moment

thought

discussion

discernment

choice

meme

paradigm in cooperative inclusive Earth-Care spaces,

shared karmic vocation to grow

our mutually parasitic polyculturing economy.

 

Pathology has over-valued ego-dominant win-lose

unredeeming strategies

so our permaculture wise design

discovers therapy divesting of egocentric

incorporated

commodified

self-swelling strategies to win alone,

as if no longer interdependently

generating the very air we breathe

sounds we hear,

frequencies we see,

rhythms we prehend.

 

We are learning nature’s deep eco-logic,

regenerative optimization invests in (0) sum global

win-win fair-share policies,

mutually prioritizing our subsidiarity to Earth’s logic,

radiantly warm and light passive-solar consuming,

producing our revolving seasonal economic orbit,

webbing, weaving, warping global network,

tipping toward Original Intent’s Omega point,

pacific eco-mindful balancing orthopraxis.

 

Green Revolution evolution

resolving dissonance within this Great Transition season,

producing new leaves of grass-fed transactions,

exchanging gratitude for winter’s hibernation,

as Right-brained Yin inductively, eco-inclusively, leans

balancing her over Yanged Left-brain dominance

of ego-centric individualism.

 

Discovering spirit,

uncovering nature.

Nothing more,

if nothing less, or left over, or lost to

non-polynomially entropic despair,

hopelesssly confusing chaos.

Earth’s righteously regenerative design

reveals spirit’s leftover,

emergently abundant grace of incarnation,

our (0)-sum win-win global game

positively balanced spacetime economy,

thermomagnetic balanced deep ecologic harmony,

less marching in extractive market squares,

as yang and yin,

Cooperative Party Platform for Diving into Clean Warm (but not too warm) Water

The Tao Te Ching guides rulers, whether we are rulers of only our own selves, or caregivers for children and elderly family members, or a Governor, or CEO of the Ford Foundation or Ford Motor Corporation, the Prime TrimTab Principle of wu wei optimizes confluence, or contentment, by minimizing dissonant interference. A great deal has been said already about wu wei’s incarnating as a laissez-faire self- and other-governing practice. But, “laissez-faire” is to non-violence as mutually subsidizing subsidiarity is to well-integrated pacifism.

We have active non-violence (Yang) and passive non-violence (Yin). Active non-violence is to be practiced only as Positively Deviant from our eco-dislogical systemic norms. Active non-violence responds only to unnatural ego-eruptions into our cultural DNA environment and economy. When and where ego-normics conflict with balanced eco-logic, then active non-violence is an appropriate wu wei response.

Ecological, or permacultural, candidates for Cooperative Party endorsement want balanced DNA enculturation for regenerative governing intent and practice. Strong candidates will stand out as Positive Deviants within an overly competitive ego-normic culture, economic systems, and political processes. Positive Deviant Cooperative Party nominees will demonstrate well-balanced DNA permacultural practice for themselves, and intent for those they care for.

Some questions that we might all ask ourselves before considering public office, or even private regenerative capacity:

Am I more concerned about building a better regulatory and investment environment for self-composting toilets and humanure, or for corporate profiteering banks?

Am I more concerned about keeping my non-blue trash can as empty as possible or about keeping my checking account as full as possible?

If I don’t compost, how do I feel and think about that? Same thing for gardening.

Do I live in a place that would be more comfortable in an exclusive gated community, or in a diversely polycultured forest? Why?

What are my personal nutrition and self-care practices and concerns, issues for myself and for my family and community?

What is my transportation procedure, policy, practice and intent? How does this intersect with my (0) carbon balanced aspirations?

What and where are my financial investments? How much of my portfolio, and/or time, is invested in cooperative ecological enterprises and vocations and service networks and training and schools? Is any of it invested locally, or within my own bioregion? If not, why not? What are my barriers to smart ecological investment of resources?

What have I done to participate in and support cooperative ecological employment and residential and learning economies?

You will undoubtedly come up with your own better questions, but these were enough to reassure me that our Cooperative Party will not be nominating me for any embarrassing public exposure. I am just not Positive Deviant enough.

 

The Cooperative Party drew up a character profile of their ideal candidates for elected office.

Cooperative Party candidates run their campaigns the way they hope to generate public policy and inclusive procedural justice. We are looking for excellent ecological economists and regenerative system analysts, mentors, and facilitators.  If you cannot demonstrate at least moderate levels of accomplishment as regenerative ecologists within your personal, familial, and community life, then please do not come to our Cooperative Party, we will all be miserable in your depressing company.

 Important regenerative ecological indicators, for your self-assessment:

Personal Health Care

You exercise and feed your mind and body with nutritious choices, promoting well-being of taste, feelings, balanced eco/ego intentions, sounds, sights, and smells, and relationships, too, as possible while retaining positive environmental goals for including diversity of cultural and economic values within your daily and weekly formation.

Familial/Kinship Care

Your approach to primary relationships demonstrates profoundly inclusive peaceful-loving intention and compassionate mindfulness. Disagreements about values and priorities are recognized as important teachers, mutual learning opportunities for growing in understanding and potential confluence. Flexibility in positively framing and managing internally competing values, ages, gender identities and preferences, access to resources, security ,integral integrity, recreation and rest, learning and mentoring praxis are all germane experience for sustainable outcomes within the Cooperative Party.

Community Vocational Experience

If you have no experience within a cooperative vocational culture, then you are not yet ready for legislative design projects. If you have never mentored a regenerative development system, demonstrating facility as a mutual feedback coordinator and summarizer and analyzer, then you have not yet legislated policy and procedure for installing a perennial garden, much less an ecosystem or nation. Ideal mature wisdom experience within shared vocational relationships would cover the full range of cooperative development from community research and inclusive project planning experience, through implementation, maintenance, evaluation, and strategic comprehensive review for further synergetic optimization, meeting Permaculture Design’s Continuous Quality Improvement Standard Principles, for regenerative systems evolution.

 Investing exorbitant currency and time in campaigning for an essentially cooperative vocation seems ineffective and counter-intuitive to this Cooperative Party. We tend to nominate those candidates who invest the least in their campaigns for office. On the other hand, we do support  candidates with resources needed for public discernment, responsive to issues cooperatively and inclusively named and framed for their Positive Deviance TrimTab potential.

Investing in Divestment

I become confused, and I so hope it’s not just me, by the ethical landmine of divestment.

Does purging myself of toxins atone for all my sins absorbing them? Does the divestment of a negative value create a positive value, and is it at least as positive as the negative was negative?

Should I, instead, stand among my kindred stockholders in sackcloth and ashes, repenting, perhaps a little self-flagellation helped along by the bewilderment of my fellow sinners about what may seem to them as excessive as a monk transforming into a crackling flame of protest?

Does quiet divestment optimize my opportunities and responsibilities for ecologically balanced values, where negatives greet positives as ancient appositive allies, like Yang and Yin, and space and time, identity and individuation, places and spaces?

Something about the stark simplicity of divestment feels unnatural, like deliberately choosing to ponder the monochromatic negatives of grayscale tucked inside a back cover of my favorite full-color family album.

Holding a stock to protest against whatever values and disvalues may be represented by that stock seems like a lively example of talking talk without walking in the way I am suggesting to others. Divestment is to mentoring as stockholder action is to lecturing others to not do as you have ever done yourself. Why not divest and then send out a memo:

Dear Fellow Publicans and Sinners,

Just want you to know I sold off my stock in Toxic Fuels and Chemicals, Incorporated, for the best price I could get in exchange for an investment in a poisonously unsustainable lack of future for our kids. I claim no moral virtue for doing what is so clearly in my own best interest, just because it also happens to be in your best interest as well. Nor do I mean to gloat over my continuing investments in self-serving corporate structures, rather than cooperative and sustainable, inclusive, and, by the way, icing on the cake, economically buoyant and resilient investment opportunities.

You see, when I finally realized why I want to divest from extractive short-term high risk markets, it suddenly came as quite the epiphany that I want to take that money and invest it in cooperative, long-term low risk and locally nutritious and sustainable enterprises. Rich opportunity and value, indeed!

Apparently eco-logical reinvestment policies and procedures are much less value-ambiguous than divestment quagmires, not only ethically and environmentally, but financially and biologically and sociologically, and, oh yes, teleologically too. The intersection of my experience’s meaning and our future’s purpose, to remember we all got into this incarnational mess together and we will each get out of it what we bring into clearing it up for ourselves and future generations.  As for the rest, it’s just a messy commodity investment confusion, searching for a wiser Left and Right brained balanced economy.
