Historic Healing Projects

I had two big projects
from 1970 to 1975,
The first,
to earn a usually white Bachelor dual-major degree
(which sounds at least sexist
as a usually black, brown, red, yellow Mistress nondegree)
of deep learning about yin/yang,
right/left,
east/west interconnections
cultural communions
between persuasive Speech [and non-verbal] Communication
and attitude changing Psychology.

My second project,
like the first,
was about coming out of my investigating queer closet;
how to find peace
ease
resonance
within a new, yet resilient, extended family
through healthy attitude change
about GLBTQ identity
and hetero/homo interdependent family persuasions.

These two projects,
one feeding my left brain academic hunger,
the other watering my right mind emotive thirst
for healthy communicating win/win relationships
of untold infinite harmonic historic resonance
for EarthTribe rememory climates,
theological inside metaphors
for resilient outside ecological communions,
healings,
regenerations,
creolization of interdependent gratitude
rather than heterosexual colonization attitude;
became One curious and courageous investigative aptitude,
Project.

This comes to mind
as I think about how the religious,
theologically driven, sector
of my local community is,
and is not,
prepared to lead us into climate rapture
rather than more degenerate business as usual climates of trauma,
loss,
lose-ego/lose-eco death.

Healing competitive win or lose climates,
sadly heading toward almost inevitable traumatic loss
of living EarthTribe identities
and living Earth
invites historians to remember
“traumatized parts stay frozen in time
for a reason, right?”
(from Sarah Peyton’s “Your Resonant Self” p. 105)
AND
therapeutically interdependent parts stay fluid
across historic climate changes
for a reason, left and right?…

Whether theologically perceived as secular NotGod nature
or ecologically felt as sacred Gaia spiritual webs
of interdependently complex emergent EarthMother
historically co-present rebirthing wombs,

Disconnected religious-theological memories
protect business as usual
eco-illogical exploitation
of sacred Earth,

Ecological life continues
while local faith community theologies
are planning for other rapturous and hellish things

Bowing to our own collective trauma
of universal sacred interdependence
giving way to immersion experiences
in disconnecting traumas
of fallen
fallow win/lose competitive human egocentric nature
more powerful than right mind Earth-climate balancing spirits
creolizing hetero/homo historical resilience,
multi/mono-cultural resonance.

So,
our early 2020 historical revision project
begins with revisiting our diverse faith community
local histories.
How were these motivated
to bring together for healing
lives ignored
neglected
marginalized
suppressed
enslaved
raped
inquisitioned
and otherwise abused
by already established good/bad faith communities?

How were established theological communions
potentially enriched
by their new neighbors?
Prepared for healthy win/win creolization climates
rather than ever more chaotic trauma
of win/lose side-by-side stiff-jawed tolerance
of not cooperative gospel-singing divisions
between lives co-present on sacred Earth
intended for interdependent raptures
of healthy-wealth webs and wombs
for actively hopeful life?

What are the original founders,
our local saints of communal faith inheritance,
inviting us to reconsider?
How to grow theological and ecologically healthy resilience
to end traumatized-by-negative-climate degeneration
pollution
rabidly competitive over-populated
and under-inspired
merely tolerated secular multiculturalism
rather than actively curious poly-culturalistic sacred immersion experiences
in locally complex histories
reweaving future win/win communal potentialities,
left brain resilient climates
with right mind theologically resonant local nature/spirit
trans-regeneration
transubstantiating theo/eco-logical communion
for present
and future
co-inhabiting past
health/wealth climates of co-revival,
inter-religious thrival.

For Every Light, A Season

For every state,
property, inside or out,
every unchanging constant,
a hint of hopeful restating,
healthier transitioning, outside and in,
correlation communicating constant change.

For every constant changing (x) variable
a hint of timelessness,
resilient eternity,
dynamic (y) rediscovering.

For every open touch function,
potential for deeper resonant feeling flow.

For every win/lose courageous risk,
potential win/win curious co-opportunity.

For every new sound,
a chance for wider hearing
with new ears.

For every leftbrain either/or thought,
a rightmind emotive hint
toward both/and polyphonic ease
of warmth with light, co-resident.

For every voice of God,
a hint of warm wet Goddess.

For every co-present Gaia,
a hint of constant seasonal change.

For every negative anxiety,
a hinting glint for positive anticipation.

For every secular psychological experience,
potential ecologically sacred relationship,
complexly interdependent.

For every historical process,
potential for multiculturing progress.

For every synergetic procedure,
a chance for integrity’s deep and widening potential.

For every warm-lit eco-balancing life,
a hint of cold-dark ego-supremacy death.

Wealthy Communion

Our anti-racism, pro-polyculturing health
anti-egopatriarchy, pro-ecofeminist wealth
anti-homophobic, pro-trans-regenerative
anti-injustice Team, pro-restoring peace Organizers

Meet inside a viciously anti-outdoor
windowless
airless
music-less
museless
left-brain oppressively dominant room,
climate,
atmosphere,
attitude of ungratitude.

Two women I passionately admire,
would warmly accompany within any outdoor sacred space,
are doing their best to tolerate each win/lose Other
rather than actively extending curiosity
with each win/win AnOther potential integrity,

Noticing a difference between negative anticipatory weapons
and positively honing each Other’s communication tools
for win/win processing,
progressing solidarity that does not quickly
or easily,
comfortably, much less smugly,
dispassionately, or even ego-satisfactorily at peace
by inviting a short-term truce,
settling for continuing a win/lose communication walled history,
quick to celebrate remaining obvious win’wins
yet blind to risks of win/lose miscommunication
predicting long-term climate trends
of lose/lose chronically anxious anti-communion
dis-communication,
cognitive/affective
(ineffective for multicultural resonance)
dissonance.

I am not clear what to do,
how to intervene
to invite win/win reconsideration
without bombing our planning process,
and risking the mistrust of both strong and skilled women.

I’m new to this anti-racism/pro-multiculturing
sociological/ecological
co-relational inner/outer climate Team
for healing anthropological/ethological history,
for unraveling monoculturing excesses of humans
and weeds,
predators
unwilling to recognize balancing co-presence of prey,
secular thinkers
advancing sacred interdependent feelings.

It’s my first time meeting with,
listening to,
speaking with two of the five of us,
neither of which were the two
in a lose/lose chronic trend of trust
and positive communication
failure.

Yet I am also concerned
about our viability to engage our purpose statement:
“To end racism.”
Which feels like more than a quick and small win/win stretch
of even my most active no-longer-tolerating win/lose detente
imagination.

How will we immerse ourselves,
and help even just our local communities
compassionately and sustainably engage each other
in robust multiculturally trusting our mutual curiosities
across traditional monocultural communication divides,
long multigenerational histories of weakened communication loops,
lack of healthy ongoing inclusive relationships?
If two of our most skilled listeners,
compassionate speakers,
are not actively curious
about how we do
and do not
matter to each other
yet,
how we do
and do not
yet passionately trust
in each Other’s warmest win/win regard.

Perhaps if we had formed an outdoor planning circle
we might have noticed beauty communicated by egoless lilies
sharing a meadow,
anticipating resonance
and anxious warnings
of birdsong basking in peaceful warm sun
as primal message of co-attachment
accompaniment within,
between
among all restoring peace
as communal justice EarthTribes.

Perhaps we might have remembered forest intelligence;
A tree’s ecological root system,
developed to harvest and implant trusted nutrients,
And a tree’s theological sun-praising branch and leaf systems
developed to feed
and fuel
future regenerations of life,

Like right-brain old-rooted both/and discernment
to avoid our left-brain dominant either/or secular/sacred
outside/inside mistrusts
that Earth’s ecological nutrition communication
and theological sacred power relationships
could be anything more or less
than secular/sacred
outside/inside
cooperative win/win articulation
resonantly outside Earthed,
birthed inside through resiliently radiant light
co-passionately re-fueling
processing
mutually maturing
enriching courageous multicultural curiosity,
inside health
as intoned multicultural wealth outside;

Outdoors
as seasonally rhythmed indoors.

Your euphony
sounds like my epiphany

Your polypathic resilience
feels like my polyphonic resonance
she compassionately warmed and comforted,
nurtured and nutritioned.

Your theologically divine relationships,
progressions through historical multicultural experience
think and feel my ecologically natural communions,
processions through polyculturing anticipations,
s/he silently sang,
imaginatively danced,

Not for future performance,
but from past inclusive participations,
investments,
compassionate regenerations,
dispassionate degenerations,
passionate incinerations,

The Powder-Free Vinyl Exam Glove

It occasionally occurs to me,

as I distractedly remove my right dominant
Powder-Free Vinyl Exam Glove,
after yet another young adult diaper change,

Perhaps getting lovingly laid
by a lifetime committed
caring and passionately consenting peer
filled with warm compassion,
active hope for tomorrow
would not be the worst conjoining thing
that could happen to neuro-alternatively-challenged intelligent beings
childishly preferring win/win cooperative outcomes
derived from compassionate climaxing thought-feelings together
while experiencing full-sensory resonant mental health.

Then again,
I suppose the same
powder-free examervation might apply
to economic and political narcissists,
and patriarchal double-binary
co-disassociative left v right hemispheres
runaway debating between lonely older aescetics
ordained to fulfill male dominant sublimation
through yin-recessive win/win co-passion’s ostracization,
diminution,
fragmentation,
cognitive-affective dissonance.

And then I wonder
how long will it take
to re-sacralize humane non-elite poop
as richly robust future compost
best for black gold richly embedded fertility,
as I race and gender and age
to throw out plastic scat bags,
filled with cotton and plastic diapers
and under/overpads,
and right dominant
Powder-Free Vinyl Exam Gloves.

PolyPaths Toward WarmFelt Metaphonics

A childhood memory warmly reminds

A game of Where’s the Thimble,
hidden by a gang of siblings,
or just one strategic sister,
left for me to rightly find
as I wander through our living room,
following bilateral cues,

You’re cold,
freezing really.
Now you’re getting warmer.
No, not that way,
toward winter.
Now you’re getting hot…
now boiling,
burning up!

Temperature
changing through time
as metaphor
for sacred thimble climates
hidden among spatial options.

When thinking analogically,
a left-brain comparative contrast communication culture
sounds like resonantly fed
warm nutrition,
feeding and watering social hunger
and thirst left upon righteousness

While miscommunication,
deliberate mendacity
ruins our cooperative game,
analogous to toxicity,
pathological fragmentation,
predicting further degenerative disarray,
poor menu planning,
lack of win/win co-intentional play.

Meanwhile,
if feeling metaphorically,
a right-brain both/and comparative integrity
looking for a healthier re-enculturation process,
a more holistically satisfying experience,
climax
culmination where two or more frames of reference,
trees of paradigm relationship,
are not only thought of as side-by-side, either/or
but also felt as inward nuclei, root systems
co-passioning outward climate boundary gates
breathing in/out
nutrition/extraction.

Here, nutrients
well-digested
may also feel robust and happy,
healthy warm communication,
becoming warmer communion,
tropical creolization,
radical metaphor, yes,
but, much more significantly fundamental,
seminal for all win/win healthy global species,
metaphonic rhapsody,
polypathic polyphonics.

As left-brain polynomials
are ecologically
and theologically
and egologically
and ethologically not(not) potentially co-operative
polynomial integrity

As ZeroZone’s entropic in-between emptiness
predicts timeless intersectionally communicating fullness
of Alpha/Omega scripts
humane/divine
secular/sacred
ego/eco
YangPower/Yintegrity.

But, said the right-brain the(0)logist
to the left-brain ec(o)logist,
“Why might this be so?”

Why might left-brain’s ego-centering life
become love’s left/right win/win ocean
of DNA fractal potentialities?

Regenerative win/lose life’s global multicultural love
caring through warm cooperative theists,
reverse bilaterally refined
by not despairing, competitive atheists
longing for community,
not quite so much unfeeling entropy,
cold ecological relative analogy
of warm and full
theologically humane/divine immanent relationship.

Polyphonic polypaths
shout cold against analogical famine,
metaphoric numbness.

Resolutions
compare win/lose problems
to win/win solutions
in sacred stories of and about ego-lives
metaphors for epic trans-regenerational loves
suffering cold history
in search of warm thimbled happiness.

Competitive co-arising analogies
need not suppress cooperating metaphors
where warm regenerate acceptance
is not cold bad news tolerance
of competitively mendacious mediations
against brothers and sisters,
cousins,
future aunts and uncles,
extending metaphoric families
of EarthTribes
turning and returning polycultural integrity
encouraging warm resonant faith
within good news living resilient rooms
and networks of global health/wealth communication.

Reforming Democratic Faith

Seems like advocates for cooperatively-invested dialogue
are concerned about indoor classroom experiences
that feel a lot more like debate
or merely academic,
detached,
cold analysis of win/lose evolutionary history,
in which might proves rightwing kleptocratic victories
while lefter democratic peace voices
fade into non-violent
non-verbal communications
just among our oh-so-tolerant lefty hugging selves.

I’ve been talking to our Faith Formation Director
about why Unitarian-Universalist Universities
are
and are not
appropriate educational dialogue multicultures
for any faith formation,
active hope reformation,
compassionate therapy development,
climate health rather than more climate pathology.

It seems that good faith formation
precludes bad lack of trust deformation,
disinformation,
egotistic debate cultures
where winners take all
and losers run off in search of some safer classroom.

For me,
outdoor classrooms feel safer
for win/win multicultural dialogue
between nutritionally communicating allies,
consuming and producing healthy natural elements
like richer soil,
cleaner water,
better air,
balanced ego/eco-systemic climates
where distinctions between wealth and health
are held collectively for further refinement,
and not hoarded autonomously
for further isolating definitions
into either-or thinking
without sufficient emotional intelligence
for both health and wealth of feeling.

Outdoor classrooms
endorse dialogue
about how ecology and theology,
like science and sentience
outside and inside,
refine good trusting faith formation together
more left and right hemispheric
rightwing and leftwing heuristic exploration
toward in-between mutually cooperative discovery
uncovery of win/win potentialities,

Rather than all that inside classroom
business as supremely left-hemisphere academic
egocentric
anthropocentric left v right debate
about whose cold calculating weapons
are best for overpowering warm organic tools
of Earth’s most polycultural producing healthy wealth.

Reforming left and right hemispheric dialogue
feels better,
naturally and spiritually,
holistically and holonically;
outside ecological relationships
forming good faith
of and for inside theological compassion.

Repurposing Life and Death

Life or death
is a left-brain dominant cultural assumption,
While right-brain is more comfortable
with life and death,
health and pathology,
nuance of co-arising dipolarity.

Environmentalists
shout for sustainability!
Ecologists calmly advocate
polycultural energy resilience
to recreate wealthier dynamic ecosystems

While warm psychologists
and embracing psychiatrists
listen for co-relational resonance within
and between
healthy cooperative ego-systems.

But,
resonance between egos
not so robustly,
democratically healthy,
might also develop unfortunately viral,
vicious feedback loops
of negative,
toxic communication
festering monocultural missions
of supremacist degenerativity;
more of a persistently narcissistic weed patch
than a resonant right-brain
and resilient left-brain
ego/eco-system.

I recently read that viruses
can be as dead
static
zero-dynamic absent exchange of energy,
a tiny pebble,
but, when placed in a friendly organic environment,
come back to life,
rebirth resonance,
if not life/death recycling resilience.

Physicists,
sounding more like cool metaphysicists,
report subatomic particles are affluently indestructible
and effluently destructible,
depending on whether we observe as a functional part of a whole
or as a structured whole of an energy flowing past through future part.

Immortal because an unchanging co-related potentiality
within any one static moment of unimage-able time,
and yet mortal
as a constantly changing process
of co-acclimating energy exchange,
transitioning into transformation
into retransitioning.

Resilient
when spatially imaged as individual function,
secular,
autonomous,
independent sub-structure co-relational constancy
within a linear line of temporal events,
not resonantly,
sacredly fulfilled,
sufficient,
satisfying
as complete viral extending family
into spatial interdependence.

Resonantly alive
when resilience
flows toward positive healthy,
co-relational intent,
and not confused with persistent fragmentation
flowing out into dispersed
despaired
evaporating lose/lose potentialities,
monocultiuring weed patch autocratic,
self-aggrandizing intent,

Which matures into rabidity,
feeds on our own young,
future generations,
and, finally, on our own extremities
until democratic viral death
remains autonomously,
irresiliently silent
still
without hope
for life
or even further death
of life-giving species.

Which may all have something,
and nothing,
to do with why the most positively viral economic
and political
and social
and psychological
and analogical
and ethological
and metaphysical enlivening environmentalists
resonantly speak up and out!!
for optimizing sustained
dynamic
co-relational
co-arising
co-present resilience of cooperative intent!!
to optimize all climates
advocating multicultural exclamation points!!
of life and death and repurposing life…

Sacred communion,
taken in by mouth
and nose
and ear
and eye
and touch,
compassionately felt in community,

Becomes left-brain anxious about competitive totalitarian communism
while right-brain celebrating cooperative win/win Green Commons
of ancient reproductive health,
bilaterally twinned,
binomially intertwined,
bicamerally belonging

Yet longing not to become entirely ego-absorbed
without remaining cherished interdependent identity,

Part yet whole;
Whole yet apart
holonic
holy
whole Earth polypathic
polyphonic
polyculturally communal,

Left secularly invincible
either/or powers of thinking
with sacred Right both/and feeling invisible

Transparent flexibility
mixed with absorbing love,
together breeding Integrity

Coming of age,
Going of non-change

Viral spirals
downward viciously viscous
and upward
virtuously visionary,

Outwardly
inward,
anxiously
ubiquitous,
competitively
cooperative.

Identity discovered through relationship,
nutrition recovered through nurturing nature,
culture uncovered through history,
theology covered through ecology,

Transcendent revolution through immanent evolution,
communal experience through communication,
secular thoughts through sacred apparitions,
motions through emotions,

Here through now,
Space through time,
Community through communion.

Green Sanctuary Propositions

Who are you most longing to become?

How we answer this is different for an ancient rooted tree
than for a recent immigrant
searching for a niche of stable self-sufficiency.

Who we already have become together
feels more important to thriving groves of WiseElders
than to adolescent immigrants
actively learning creolizing bilingual skills
still coming together for survival.

So too, offering Sanctuary,
becoming Sanctuary,
inviting Sanctuary,
is rooted in Green complex nutrients
for feeding
and warm wet watering
whispering easier
cozier
more accessible nutrients
for everyone–
but especially appreciated
by more recent emigrants
to a new garden of hospitality,
of multicultural cooperation,
of shared cooperative residence
and patterns of safe,
sometimes exciting, new transport
toward healthiest wealth.

A gardener’s intent
to both offer and share sanctuary
may provoke well-nurtured gratitude
in a recent annual immigrant,
but a more sleepy and self-satisfied entitlement
in mature seniority of perennials,

Yet, primordially feeling and speaking,
we are all immigrants newly becoming together
with each new dawn,
and determined to cooperatively rest
in grateful dreams
with each renewing dusk.

Who are we most belonging
by becoming Green Sanctuary
together?

Some guilds of mutual interest
and investment
invite growing a cooperative sanctuary for food,

Other teams choose cooperatively owned and managed shelter,
gardens,
farms,
transporting cars and trucks
and bikes and horses,

Others focus on cooperatively owned and managed soil,
observing that democratically co-invested compost,
like capital,
recalls healthy savings in a nutritional bank
for cooperative food constituents.

And so it went,
whether Republican or Democrat,
Libertarian or Green,
Who we want to become together
is more cooperatively resilient,
more robustly compassionate
and co-empowering,
so less aloof
alone
smug and self-satisfied
about our competitive win/lose economic
and partisan histories of colonization;

When, truth become remembered,
we are all reborn naked
and needy
immigrants.
