More on Empathic Communication

From Robert Norton and David Brenders “Laws of Interaction” Table 11.1, p. 227, in Communication & Consequences, Erlbaum Associates, 1996:

 

“A person fills in premises in a way that makes sense to the self.” sounds like a Gadfly to me.

“A person accepts the validity of messages from the other.” sounds co-Relational to me.

“Past [exegetical] premises structure present understanding.” sounds Institutional to me.

“Idiosyncratic [maybe poly-synergetic is what was intended here?] understanding enhances the capacity to create an enthymematic [probably “empathic” is more accessible  to a wider audience] response.” could sound like a Negotiator’s resonance-evolving trend.

If that mutual mapping seems about right, then, following along with Norton and Brenders, the second half of this prime-octave regenerative structure toward co-evolutionary polycultural communication would fill out something like:

“Sufficiently similar connections allow pragmatic [positive-active resolving] consequences.” Noticing new (gadfly) potential resolutions.

“The strategic communicator uses what the self [ego-identity] idiosyncratically [poly-synergetically?] knows.” Investing in eisegetical risk-taking, correlationally  (co-relational) intended disclosure.

“The strategic communicator thrives on new information.” Positive Reiteration regeneratively trends toward newly incarnating (emergent institutional incorporating) evolutionary formation.

“The strategic communicator[s] [co]controls the enthymematic [co-empathic evolutionary] process.” Diastatic-emergent regenerative  eco-fusion, inclusive of full population diversity (co-negotiated, co-mentored) as a positive discernment value.

 

Norton & Brenders next go to a new level of successfully communicating in highly complex environments, difficult issues, my own additions in brackets: “IX. [Polypathic] Complexity     [CoArising] Complex knowledge facilitates enthymematic [empathic polyculturing] control [positive regenerational order, sequence, development, natural evolution, incarnation, grace, karma].

I believe that both the Santos-Lang (www.grinfree.com) and the Norton and Brenders evolutionary stage theories of regenerative discernment through collective deep-empathic learning would benefit by adding the word bicameral to the Laws of Interaction, because I believe the same stage-trends appear whether we are talking about an individual’s health/therapy discernment for their Interior Bicameral Landscape, or referencing a group or community’s regeneratively willed and intended discernment for our co-created Exterior BiCameral Landscape; but that is an even more universal canvas of informational evolution and dialectical potentiality.

New Year ReSolution Discernment

Time for New Campaign Year ReSolutions,
perhaps informed with some new political economy
discernment questions.

Why is a free market
most accessible to those with the largest investments
in marketing?

Could this be the same question:
Why are our free political elections
most accessible to those who invest most heavily
in self-marketing?

Why does suppression or oppression or repression,
some kind of taxing expression,
of the free cooperative-barter labor market
feel related to the rapidly increasing disecological cost
of and to Earth’s formerly free commodities,
elements,
information,
co-arising intelligence,
ecosystemic integrity,
and possibly some cooperative hunting and gathering nutrients, while avoiding poisons, research?

Why does it cost so much
to market the economic policies and political procedures
intended to evolve healthy cooperative free markets?

Why does freedom from fearful need for
–debt forgiveness
–redemption
–absolution
–ever more efficient competition and untimely death
feel so much like freedom to give
mutually cooperative absolution
–for being human,
–for not being humane enough for our own SuperEco Awareness,
–for not being unnatural enough
for your EgoCenter to entirely forget
your cooperative political and economic RNA regenerative roots?

Why do I feel
and not feel
free to participate in competing racist/sexist eco-political networks,
structures,
systems,
when I buy groceries and clothes,
every time I support an
–overly anthro-indulgent,
–over-commodified
–overly toxic
–overly carbon-footprinted
–overly Left-brain dominant
corporation,
including political party corporations
competing for market shares in votes,
and how do I feel free to support overly incorporated candidates
for overly-commodified public offices?

Why does an independent permaculturist
sound like an oxymoron,
while a cooperative permaculturist network
sounds like deeply nutritious redundancy?

Climatic Cultural Revolution

So what do U.S. national political candidates recommend
to resolve degenerative trends
to turn toward bicameral political health
with cooperative economic wealth therapy?

I’m still waiting to hear comprehension
ecoconsciousness
that terror enculturation cannot evaporate
in response to throwing more threat on the fire
of violent policies and procedures,
on which it feeds.

Still waiting to hear national discernment
about what fertilizes terror at home,
in our own hearts and self-isolated minds.

Does your terror also grow
in environmental monocultures of fear and anger,
emerging degeneratively dissonant hatred
of both life and death,
so worn down they feel morally equivalent,
ambivalent options;
a choice for oneself
with implications for future generations,
leading to disempowering others with this same
nihilistic ambivalence
encroaching dusk
transposing dawn’s face of Earth’s regenerative abundant potentiality,
bounty of light and energy and beauty and cooperative harmony.

How do I,
how does this species,
Occupy CoArising Loving Presence
in an increasingly erratic climate of terror, hatred, dissonant disarray?

And yet we emerge
evolve
incarnate and purpose and plan and design
resolve to resonate
regenerate healthy-therapeutic abundant outcomes
of positive fertility;
to turn away from domesticating and commodifying,
insuring and financing terrifying monocultural competitivism
with violent clarity of Win-Love strategic policy intent,
transparently blanketed with Win-Lose procedural practice.

Just ask any one of the candidates;
each and every one could only politically survive
as champion of Win-Lose AnthroCentric rhetoric.

Yet, ask either of their parties
how they are doing with their bicameral polycultural vitality,
occupying “Present” rules for cooperatively peaceful revolution,
where have they discovered well-watered flowers
for fading weeds of thorny terrors
within ourselves,
among themselves,
within our species,
among all species?

Our time has come
to turn from dance
with Owl’s night-wise Medicine,
deep negentropic listening,
wide empathic languages and iconic myths
of syntax flowing metaparadigms,
we reach across Full Moon labyrinth

in contented Presence
within as without,
struggling with letting go of anger
for our ignorance.

Frustration with our own slow to learn sense
that our best years are behind us,

To struggle through this narrow breach
of polypathic pilgrimage this dark MidWay Eve,
to relinquish all fear of fear

Night Before Solstice

Twas night of full Solstice
when all thru my home
Yin is moaning with constipation
while Yang jumps up and down
and back and forth
and in and out,
hoping her Beloved scratch soon will be here
to absorb all screechy itches
she holds so loudly dear.

I’m not in my hairshirt
and not needing a nap,
breathing Yang in
to pray Yin might push out.

As heaven opens
to rain down warm clatter
I co-arise with rich dark-soiled hope
and faith that each full breath matters,
as Yang throws soft pillows
for Yin’s entertainment.

Finally, midnight clears,
stars splatter sky
as Yin pushes out poo
his contented voice lowing,
nestled in dream pillows of ecological manger.

Another perfect MidWay dia-souled-stice,
one last veggie pizza on whole wheat slice,
angels are snoring
their demons ignoring
peacefully awaiting New Year of play nice.

Fr. Time’s Ubiquitous Proposal

Dear National Science Foundation–Economics Department:

So,
here’s what I want to learn,
or research,
if you will.

Why do we have a Financial Sector,
Business and Industry Sector,
Religious Sector,
Education Sector,
Health Care Sector Food and Nutrition Sector
Services Industry Sector,
and a Political Sector,
an Economic Sector,
Science and Technology Sector,
Design Sector,
and then we have this “Non-Profit Sector”?

What’s up with that?
What is this sector for?
All we know from its label;
these folks do not plan to develop profit,
much less optimize regenerative health.

After all, what else could “profit” mean?

I mean,
you would think,
with everything else going on,
all this climatic change
and failure of self-governance systems,
we would call this Non-Profit Sector
our EcoTherapeutic CoOperative Sector,
or just the Coop Network, for short,
as opposed to their dipolar
Business As Usual Competitive Sector.

But,
I can see why we didn’t land on that label
just yet,
or at least I have a hypothesis
that this NonProfit language
is an artifact of PreMillennial LeftBrain
deductive-mindbody Dominance;
a passive-aggressive cultural choice
emerging from an Industrial Culture
mistakenly invested in a model of positive evolution
that over-emphasized time’s regenerative thrival value
for Win-Lose struggling against speciation
and individuation
strategies,
thereby under-valuing
the historical evidence supporting positive evolution
as therapeutically struggling with others
by inviting reiterative cooperative Win-Win
default choices,
as is iconic of RNA, and DNA’s thermodynamically
and co-gravitationally co-arising design.

This seasonal-fractal regenerative evolutionary process
toward polyculturally optimizing ecosystems,
slow-growing endosymbiotic mutuality of freedoms from
with freedoms to,
seems to be more along the lines of what Darwin took away
from how to see
and time
this world wide web of organic information.

Terror Asylum

On another Thames River,
with steady rural New England flow
toward Long Island’s warming Sound
then on and out toward whispering drowned memories
of Atlantis,
slumbering on eastern bank,
surrounded by Pequot Elder spirit grounds,
ruined medicine’s monolithic altars
worshiping insanely labyrinthine proportion,
crumbling mental-physical stately asylum carcasses,
sagging with trembling memories
of cultural inability
to remember empathic presence,
basic nature’s noticing of potentially present voices
speaking through cracked window and door frames,
peeling exterior landscapes,
collapsed roofs with rotten root foundations,
mumbly murmuring memories
of past river fogged-in days
and nights of terrorism,
ruled by despots of exegetical sanity
applauding wild bacchanal voices
jumping into tidal swollen,
then shrunken,
yet steady and wise-stately,
reasonable flow away out
toward wilder presence downstream
outstraining severed screams
of inpolitic madness.

Intended to grow up a school for sanity,
collaterally invested dust and decay emerged a prison
of abuse and neglect,
oppressively irrational exculturation.

Wild voices dismembering
loving presence of person,
too entrapped by past terrors,
chronic, climatic, psychotic prison
for muttering conversations between Ego’s Anger voice
berating left-handed fear of Fear ambivalence,
quivering recrimination reiterating through dungeon drugged nights,
layering medicated mindless attendance
over basic neural noticing,
thereby inducting rot
briefly intuiting tender absence of co-mentored narrow path
toward polypathic enculturation,
hiding in a forest
of cracked and crumbling drives and walkways,

of history weeded over.

On this other Thames
visitors violate serene gloom of despair,
turning our backs to return to safer grounds,

Adventures in ReGenerative EcoNormics

It’s not so much
our cultural value conditioning
that presents a transitional communication problem
about changes of climate
within our Interior
and without
in our Exterior
Landscapes.

It’s more about discontinuous,
internally incommensurable,
cultural values
norms enjoined throughout Earth’s fully domesticated human race
toward humane evolution’s progress,
whether this progress
be calculated one breath
one day
one season at a time
or using a 5-year SWOT Team analysis,
norms and values discontinous because they raise eisegetical internal
and exegetical external eco-logical issues
of dissonance
about Anthro-hyper-critical fear
and existential anger,
no longer capable of hearing
Earth’s more inductively functional ecotherapy messages.

For example:
We may feel deep under our skin
that the norm “respect all life”
means not only the aborted embryo
of future’s hope for regenerating further life
in that human branch,
but it also means finding compassion for the ballistic asshole
terrorist on the other side
of Earth’s eco-culture
raping and slaughtering our children
of all species,
all ecosystems,
natural elements in their normative habitats
of Earth’s warm-wombed evolutionary development.

Perhaps more troubling
on a daily in-your-face basis
is our cultural discontinuity
about respecting all humane nature.

End of sentence for our Golden Rule.

Terrorists and abortionists and most certainly polar bears
and turtles
need not apply for humane racing inclusion
by Rule of not-so-golden exclusion.

But, surely we could not mean this end
for our optimally confluent,
co-commensurable compassion?

My co-arising advocacy for each ego-identity’s inherent dignity,
beauty,
goodness,
health,
vitality,
gift,
grace,
karma,
incarnation,
co-arising reinvestment value,
begins and ends
with sane rational humane adults
acting like mature adults,
in my corner of this ecosystemic Universe?
No further?
What about my kids with cerebral palsy?
Why not the intrinsic value of a yellow butterfly
on a red apple on a breezy early-autumn New England day?
I don’t disrespect deer tics or skunks,
why is it OK to disrespect a terrorist?

Is the reverse corollary of our Golden Rule
that it is OK to disrespect mere RNA-inspired creation,
we only choose to love this newer DNA school
of thoroughly domesticated politics
and commodified competitive economic
Win/Lose evolutionary elitism,
despite our humane capacity to comprehend
Earth’s RNA-rooted cooperative economic and political intent
to unfold
this Tree of Cooperative Life
feeding off Competitive MonoCultural Death,
as dipolar co-arising purpose,
and orthopraxis of synergetic love
as Win-Win ReGenerations for all Earth Tribes.

If we don’t get that this Left-brain deductive blindness
earns us only our Right karma and grace
to try to live with climatic dismay,
struggling against our own discontinuous
and internally combusting/fusing/confusing
view of All Natural Life Matters
to a Health Optimizing Regeneratively Positive
Future ReGenerative Hope and Faith!

If we cannot stand in ecojustice solidarity
with all RNA’s co-informing future ego-risks
and eco-opportunities
for cooperatively optimizing Continuous Quality Improvement
Standards for POLYCULTURAL HEALTH OUTCOMES,

then we condemn ourselves to living with human species’ consequences,
continuing this evolving pilgrimage
toward our own internal “cognitive dissonance” voices,
starting to squeal and screech
our unorthodox ways into our overly Left-brain dominantly
encultured mindbody:

“Hey, DNA,
that ProGenitor God you worship
is RNA’s regenerative spacetime 4-dimensional
fractal icon
of form with function!”

Dissing RNA’s Life Tribal dignity and rights,
commonly held by all Earth’s eco-spaces and places
is like dissing God
or dissing the importance
of this yet not fully born,
still warm-wombed,
embryo of hope in our own future’s biological life.

Embryonic biosystems cannot yet speak
with the same mature life-evolving language
as might an aging terrorist,
should one ever live that long,
living outside and beyond terror of death,
explaining why this monster
could not invest in his own positive regenerativity.

Might it be he simply did not evolve sufficient experience
of our Golden Rule applied to him,
gifting him as Me’s reverse corollary suggests,
gifting Me as his Earth has love-therapized/endeadened-pathologized him,
regenerated/degenerated him,
synergized/traumatized him
as a sleep deprived ego-entity
surrounded by others of similar demised
incarnation for Earth’s own purposes,
as our EcoSoul’s Advent
of Healthy/Empty ReGenerativity.

Discontinuous intuition
is not a substitute for exegetical information
it is an eisegetical subset of deductively-confluent information
that is Right brain temporally inductive
as N(NP)/P = YinYin/Yang = Win-Win/Lose-Lose
regenerative balance and proportion and theory
and rhythm frequency
co-arising functional prime relationship

When discontinuous enculturing NP functions
become more climatic,
evolve from chronic dissonance

and resonance,

then we are Tipping
Advent-ing
toward climatic transition
toward a new cooperative Business As Usual
emerging positive form and functions, healthy,
toward respect for all ReGenerative Life,
political and economic systems

co-arise Respect and Dignity for Death
of all Life already lost
to AnthroCentric Despair
about the only life that matters
in this embryonic Advent seed,

to invite all participants
to arrive at our Climax of EcoConsciousness Advent
together, co-arising,
rather like uncovering that last turned-upsidedown card
in a game of solitaire
with a fully proximate-first-act self-optimizing Win-Win ReSolution,
when you suddenly comprehend
“We have won!”
because each card won one of the correct placement positions
allowing us to line up all our suits and paradigms,
as if with full intent and will
of each co-informing card
regenerating revolving order from what appeared to be random chaos.

No card can win alone
but,
in right relationship with a full deck
each will declare Beloved Global Cooperative Community!!!
(at last…at last…our time turns!)
but only as all racing species resolve and resonate,
