Cultural ownership,
disproportionately lavished upon kings,
the occasional ecopolitical queen,
white male Republican Senators,
elite corporate CEOs
overdriving inside monocultural management
feeding consumer acquisitive appetites

Leads to cultural entitlement, encroachment?

Elitely leads to cultural appropriation,
where I win appropriate proportions
as your disproportionate loser misfortune,

And,
sometimes to multicultural creolization,
where everyone wins Golden Rules and Ratios
co-arisingly together.

Written On Our Hearts

Some issues,
some opportunities,
are written across great Western and Eastern cultures,
Northern and Southern economies,
Left and Right hemisphere structured minds,
breathing out- and in-forming lungs,
beating in- and then out-flowing hearts.
Flight toward freedom
and open-air healthy impressions,
and fight against racial oppression,
health depression,
patriarchal suppression,
competing capitalist corporate repression

Frighten by blaming
and anger by shaming
people
who might otherwise consider sharing responsibility
for growing climates and monocultures of fragility.

Our individual and collective win/lose contempt
fear
anger
hate acted out
expressed verbally and non-verbally
leave wounds,
disproportionately worn by NonElites;
poor, regardless of color, gender, but especially our young,
girls and women,
LGBTQ individuals, families, multicultural communions,
people exhausted by incorporated straight
white
LeftBrain Either/Or competitive
male dominant
anthropocentric fragility
divesting of healthy EarthClimates
unraveling through too long histories
of colonizing ecopolitical Elitist cultures.

When a society is rabidly growing rage,
fear and anger climates
frighten and anger people,
especially young and old NonElites
too close
yet too far from cooperative Green NewDeals
we expected from EarthMother’s earliest
and most resonant Womb and Breast.

Our Elite/NonElite journey
to WholeSelf/Other learning
to express fear and anger
looks for Green NewDeal ways
to heal
ourselves
and all creatures sharing Earth with us;
all living systems,
all subclimates,
all habitats,
all communions, sanctuaries, asylums, ghettoes of apartheid,
our covenanted and un-covenanted Allies,
Alliances,
extended families cooperatively co-investing
to heal fear and anger apart-ism
win/lose wounds,
by reorganizing our cooperative re-investments
in repairing healthy wealth of MotherEarth
and lesser elite/non-elite coalitions
cooperative-owners
public/private health investors

Following dipolar structured scripts
written across each ego/eco-living heart
pumping nutrition in,
then out,
and in again,
out again
breathing in,
then out,
then in again
health,
predicting outgoing wealth
informing,
then outgoing
wealth in
as health outcome
co-investing experiential climates
balancing tipping points
of internal externalizing nurture,
warm accompaniment
restoring peace incoming
as justice outgoing
di-polar co-arising
recreative intention
self/other perpetuation.

Peace Mediating Poetry

Thanks so much for forwarding
these John Paul Lederach stories
of un-learning academic approaches
to peace mediation.

I wonder if you remembered
my ongoing certification process
for justice-restoring mediation
in complex multicultural conflicting histories;
which are typically antithetical to resilient peace
through ongoing safe and healthy relationships.

With this background,
I was struck by “un-learning”.

To regain his poetic heart,
to remain resonant interdependently forward,
to give priority to emotional intelligence,
to remain actively curious about multicultural context,
and win/win strategic roots of issue-devolution,
we do well to relearn left-brain dominant communication lessons
to co-arise right-mind prominent compassionate listening
before speaking of how to win more,
or at least lose less,
through competitive win/lose
either/or assumptions
contrary to the opulence of Nature-Spirit
function and flow ZeroZone patterns
everywhere immanently transcendent.

From this non-dualistic place
un-learning academic cognition hierarchical models,
maps pointing up to win
and down to comparatively lose conflicts
of self-survival interest,
feels more like relearning both/and,
higher and wider and deeper points
of left with right minded skills,
loves within interdependent complex feelings
thoughts
passions
curious cooperative historical interests,
emerging courageously power-with
2020 re-vision anticipations.

May Sarton, sometimes a poet, observes
“It is good for a professional
to be reminded…
professionalism is only a husk,

That the real person
must remain an amateur,
a lover of the work.”

“…if to be a poet
means allowing life to flow through one
rather than forcing” love/life
“to a mold the will has” calcified;…

“If it means learning…
the day shape[s] the work,
not [just] the work,
the day,
and so live toward essence
as naturally as a bird
or a flower”

In a meadow
arrayed in warm-lit splendor
health and beauty,
healthy beautiful wealth
optimized by transcendent right-brain interdependence,
metaphoric neurological relationship,
analogical
ecological
theological re-communication,
holonic co-operation with Earth-wombed Mother’s
healthiest past through future.

We are increasingly invited,
by left with right minded correlations,
to want to do
what our healthiest ego says we must,
and to love what we ego-must
do to ego-eco-theo-logically want
to retain wealth of cooperative inter-communion,
healthy immanent/transcendent relationship climates
becoming/being the opposite of excommunicated,
the apposition of impeached
by disloyal and hate-filled over-reactions
heralded by the insufficient love
of our hierarchical and too-monocultural forefathers

Invites us to restore EarthJustice
one momentary win/win relationship choice
in a lifetime of sacred multicultural invitations.

What did you expect
on your way to shared sanctuary today?
Did you expect to return unchanged?
The same as that earlier person
on your way?
What would be your purpose
for participating in this faithful revolution
with such slight anticipation?

What did you mean
when you said, about tomorrow,
It already is only the other side of this cameo-staged day?
The other side of yesterday
Each day as unique as fingerprints
worn down and raised up
pressed out to regrow in
harmed and healed
ridged and faded
miraculous unchanging change
between yesterday
and tomorrow’s seamless identity.

On your way up and out this morning,
did you truly expect to go to sleep tonight
the same person,
a day older
but probably not sufficiently wiser?

On your way to sleep tonight,
rooted in yesterday’s warm and cold experience,
why wouldn’t you expect to arise tomorrow
in the second half of this conscious time,
changed by dreams of risky adventures
in unchanging opportunistic sanctuary?

Point of Departure

My time of promise,
before mistrust of parents
settled into growing fear
and grief into angry disappointment

Began with a visit
from a GreatHorned Owl
dying on our barbed wire fence

Announcing she would go before
but return for my time
to follow heaven’s departed promise.

But, my father responds,
Only straight humans sing in white evangelical Heaven,
And this planted my seed of doubt

A cosmic point
in bitter anticipation
of further adult atrocities to follow
in imaged flight

From this brief encounter
with natural and spiritual wings
I gradually developed internal witness:

If not ecologically necessary,
then not yet theologically sufficient.

Now,
still breathing,
singing and dancing,
beyond all reasonable health risks
of my own environmental history
in a new barbed millennium,
on the cusp of 2020 EarthJustice
left and right winged co-revision,

Heaven’s great-returned owl
revisits in near nightly dreams

Inviting me, and us,
to set aside anger,
to grab hold of more compassion
ego/eco-therapeutic communion
communication

Inclusion in Heaven’s climatic winning
ecologically wise theologies,
long incubating Rapture–
safe flight home.

 

I go back,
reversing imaged time
to when I felt
and knew untrammeled internal space
responsive within external
eternally immortal times
of Earth’s regenerative history.

For some,
again less fortunate re-imagining
with some conversing,
comparing rights,
contrasting lefts
hear no such winning exterior ecopolitics
with winning internal empowerment
and self-investment
since emerging from EarthMother’s
redundant DNA nurturing womb.

But, for a few,
a time of awareness
recalls a later conscious memory,
a time of courageous and curiously restoring justice
to those few relationships
showing early signs of uncreative anthro-centric tension.

These, unusually blessed
with resilient confluence,
may not recognize each wisdom-visiting other
and yet search for their potential bodhisattva peers,
returning to these childhood experiences
to remember slowly regrowing what went right
and vulnerably wrong
for restoring peace-filled justice
within and without
ego/eco-empowering tipping points,
wealth of healthy co-redemption

For all wombs,
their plantings and yieldings,
now still searching
through past generations
still incarnate in wombs
birthing future health-seeking regenerations.

Hate-Love Relationship

Where we embrace love,
Grief is as strong as death;
love lost.

Where we are afflicted with hate,
Gratitude is as strong as death;
loss wished for.

Grief rages against loss,
Yet gratitude lost
can become violently angered,
terrorist frightened
of present and future
as past’s reincarnate vulnerable pain.

Grief begins
felt in solitary vulnerability.
Gratitude eventually heals
through transparently shared solidarity.

Love is as strong as
mortality’s vulnerable weakness.
No more,
no less,
as these merge into one healing face
of gratitude for co-relational gain
more than mere absence of pain.

Habitual love,
Earth-inhabiting resonant life,
Eco-regenerativity
as strong as
Ego-relationality.

to achieve more resilient polycultural outcomes,
health defining truths of deep polyphonic wealth
resonance

Descendants of multicultural immigrations
producing and consuming polypathic multicolors
polyphonic his/herstories
of radiant Sun and receptive Earth
cohabiting this future light
