we tend to respond to uninvited Type B personality invitations
with Type A fully-alert personalities,
yet we respond to uninvited Type A demands
with Type B laissez-faire, neglect, and cognitively buzzed dissonance?

the older our nation grows
the younger our culture appears to prefer?

we pay more and more to elect politicians
who produce positive policy priorities and outcomes less and less?

the louder and longer I persist in persuading you of my wisdom
the shorter and softer grows your attention span
and capacity to hear me?

we produce prodigious amounts of dispossession destined for the trash
yet we seldom intend to ever possess and take ownership of our future trash?

economists respond to something called ecologic
as if their home eco turf were some alien craziness?

domineering competitive Business As Usuals
fail to see they are a sustainable cooperative economy’s
most significant mentor for disinvestment,
and design and development priorities?

every climaxing polyculture produces a master permaculturalist,
but not every master permaculturalist
has ever produced a long-term, sustainable-optimization-of-life-systems

we seldom have enough time to notice and appreciate new places and faces

Melting Ice

Step out with me,
if you would be so kind,
on my melting island of ice.

Full-heated summer sun
feels good on our backs and shoulders
and faces turned down and in to hunt,
to fish.
We start this day with gratitude
for warmth of light and life.

Empathize with polar bears,
or try to.
Not merely sympathize;
actually empathize,
step onto their/our natural icy place and time,
noticing ways bears bare our own lack of global justice
for them
and for ourselves.

Together,
we fear human rights and justice
are not ecojustice enough
to sustain optimized and inclusive life
and Continuous Quality Improvement investments
with minimized risk of loss.

We feel like we live on a shrinking island
of hopelessly competitive despair.

We feel climatic heat melting our angry and fearful interior
and exterior landscapes of nutritional potential.

We fear drowning in an understory
of melted cooperative permacultural boundary waters
of natural systemic immersion,
swimming in an icy northern sea
of metamorphic submersion.

We hunger for a lost hunting paradise
of cooperatively synergetic love.

We feel homeless unto a catastrophic miraculous death.

Death dreams in constellations of encultured space,
dynamic time invested in frequencies of place,
coincidental patterns,
gravitational rhythms,
co-operative flow…

Life is what we absorb each day,
invest in,
divest of each night.

Time is what regenerates future
and decomposes past.

Economic balance is found in nutrients we produce,
not toxins we consume.

Eco-logic ratios and rations
portions and proportions
entifies and gives and dispossesses
rectifies and takes and coredeems
plants and harvests
winnows and composts
thins and nurtures
blames and praises
stimulates and responds
causes and effects and affects and infects and defects and reflects
dislikes and values
lives and decays
orders and confuses
confluates and dissonates
frowns down upon and within and smiles up and without
curses and blesses.

Would it not be good to balance justice
so everything adds up without remainder
double-bound smooth-structured perfection,
mutually justified margins
balancing all sides of any story and issue,
correctly aligned judgment,
a logically normative standard,
a natural law
inclusive of all Earth’s living, breathing values and nutrients,
and elusive of all EarthTribal pathologies
and wilting economies,
failing gardens,
competing losers,
summer seared deserts
as polar bares?

Our ecotherapy calls for more cooperative gardens
and recreations,
and employment,
and lifestyles,
and revolving rhyming analogical norms
for economic behavior,
Golden practice and intent
emerging from ancient threads of transmillennialism.

Synergetic Polyuniversalism,
Post-Taoist multisystemic analysis
of Nature Balancing Time’s Right
to struggle and suffer
toward defining,
harmonizing,
effecting,
regenerating our metamorphic root co-operative system
of, for, and by Time’s Equi-Valent Justice,
in four primally dipolar/bipolar fractal dimensions,
like DNA,
to site our most regenerative example
found in each neurally transpositional cell.

Awaking now,

or did RNA find and intelligently develop us,

Miraculous Powers of Hypocrisy

I was listening to Cornell West,
who described our catastrophic tolerance of disvalues for others,
situations we would never tolerate for ourselves,
disvalues like homelessness and hunger,
but also like random violence,
abuse and neglect,
lack of caring,
as a “conspiracy” of a dominating, oppressive, and competitive culture.

Conspiracy theories make me nervous about the theorist,
but West reassured us that he shares this concern,
yet even with all that concern taken into account,
perhaps this is a conspiracy
in the same sense that cultural and climate evolutions
always appear, in hindsight,
as if genius inspired,
intelligently planned
and spontaneously networked
a magically coincidental outcome.
Positive sometimes,
and sometimes more about this mystery
of tolerating oppressive and suppressive disvalues for others,
with apparent equanimity,
unaware of any cognitive dissonance,
without active antipathy,
or even passive empathy,
the total absence of compassion,
lack of mindfulness,
lack of consciousness;
unconsciousness.

Our own hypocrisy of self v. other values v. tolerable disvalues
are hypnotic conspiracies?
Magical miracles?

Yet, conspiracy or not,
if self-contentment is possible
while hypocritically accepting intolerable losses and suffering,
abuse and neglect, for other:
species,
Earth-plus-atmosphere ecosystem,
nations,
cultures,
neighborhoods,
even other family members,
then we sometimes would choose words like
irrational,
rabid,
irresponsible,
lack of appropriate accountability,
lack of capacity for empathy or bonding,
lack of awareness, consciousness,
hateful,
stupid,
mental disease,
sociopathology,
ecopathology,
a hypocritical living death cuts by a thousand ego-feathered knives.

We work this magically competitive hypocrisy with each other,
on each other,
against each other,
and sometimes with each other–
we call that humor.

I do not feel possessed
when my internal ecological voice
tells me that my monocultural competitive economic environment
is over-invested in undervaluing significant dimensions
of who we naturally and cooperatively (permaculturally) are,
our care-giving and loving,
our tenderness and justice-seeking,
our tendency to side with the underdog and the understory,
our endless fascination with root systems and nutritious blossoms,
seasonal development patterns and the weather,
birdsong and surf sounds,
regular breathing and heart-beat rhythms,
blood flow nutritional capacities,
the consumption and production of nutrients
within any paradigm that might come to mind.

I get it that I live in a culture educating ourselves,
about Darwin’s “evolution is the survival of the fittest cooperative relationships”
by simply omitting the last two words;
cultural hypocrisy miraculously conspired through our sins of omission,
more salient than our grace of cooperative inclusion,
because of collective cognitive dissonance
where we need collective cognitive confluence.

Perhaps a more resonant resolution of consciousness
calls us to slow down and decompose our analysis of deviance
as sometimes negative and sometimes positive
but always some of both.

I struggle to hold a heuristic safe-space for positive deviance.
My cognitive dissonance radar
learns to perceive dissonance itself as having two faces.
In this way
I begin to claim my positive deviant place
in our shared orthodoxy of truth and goodness,
beauty and diverse polycultural integrity,
in our “unitarianism” our synergy (B. Fuller),
our love.
If I am challenged to include you in this shared orthodoxy
(of truth and goodness and beauty and justice, etc.–the “positive values”)
then my sense of ecosystemic balance
is dissonant enough to exclude you
from your rightful place in our radically cooperative eco-space.

I tend to over-react to your negative deviance,
all that nastiness, really?!
because of our culturally collective cognitive dissonance
about your coincidental positive deviance,
OK, so you are loyal to a fault and a good cook,
and the clothes actually do smell and feel better when you do the laundry,
although it is the environmental expense that we actually disagree about,
whether it is significant to our collective future,
or not,
or something in between,
some place that we might actually find
and consensually agree about
and then go on to those other kinds of sensuality,
but I think I have side-railed here.

Perhaps we enjoy solidarity in rooting for the underdog
in empathizing with those who appear
with a magical potential of a positive deviant outcome.
We so hope the underdog might win this round
in part
because we thereby retain a ray of hope
that we too may someday win
with all our undervalued, unsung, underdogged traits,
cooperative preferences,
nurturing instincts,
suffering and struggling with
my over-dog egocentric cultural landscapes,
my environment,
my internally encultured ego (Left-brained) consciousness.

I always cast my ego in the role of underdog,
just as my Right brain casts our permaculturally cooperative eco-consciousness
in the role of Superdog.

This internally chaotic conspiracy of self-doubt
about ego’s capacity to live fully,
integrally,
creatively,
honestly,
compassionately,
with appropriate integrity of self-disclosure,
without the embarrassment of closeted hypocrisy,
dropping our considerable weapons of mutual immunity
and cognitive dissonance,
is also the boundary face of rediscovering our Right-brain’s ecocenter,
our Beloved non-verbal Communication center,
comprehensively conscious,
resonant and resolved,
optimized and polypathically densely nutritious,
only through bicamerally synergetic confluence,
active peace,
love,
integrity of shared meaning and purpose
to the very core of our mutually messianic
mutually mentoring
co-redemptive
ego-and-eco balanced chi-soul.

Family Therapy

Multisystemic feminist ecotherapists,
deeply immersed in permacultural eco-logic,
a systematic teleology of cooperative economics,
remain rarely flushed out from their camouflage.

A self-isolating,
often eremetical,
subspecies,
with shamanic nature-as-spirit tendencies,
our most articulate mentors often wander off
to pray for,
breathe and suffer and dance and sing
with Earth and all Her polyculturing species and seasons,
spaces and times,
outside glaring spotlights of media networks
and shallow soundbites.

That said,
perhaps I can share lessons from my children
about internal and external landscapes of justice
and passion,
passion for justice.

Spencer is my cooperative networking
transgenerational
post-millennial polypath.
At 18, he remains with me,
has not yet wandered off into his camouflage,
in part because I am a slow learner
in comparison to his lightning networked intuitive consciousness.

I am a more thorough and systematic teleologist,
but also ponderously detailed,
like Thomas Aquinas and Buckminster Fuller,
unwilling to leave any paradigm untouched,
producing a cooperative ecosystemic thesis
and antithesis of cognitive dissonance,
that remains undecipherable
except to those few who already speak
and hear
and feel
and see,
absorb polypathic nutritional polycultures.

What does justice look like for my 20 year old African American son
who graduated from special support services at Entitled Upper Middle Class High School
with a fourth grade cognitive and affective functionality,
no marketable skills other than his physical strength
which shows decreasing likelihood of endurance
due in part to horrid nutrition
lack of self-care
his preference to self-medicate
away from his internal dissonance.

He prefers THC,
although he is angrily aware this means state and federal employment protection laws
form a moat around his buzz,
with all the opportunities on the outside
and far too many of the long-term risks on the inside of his bleary silo of despair.

Dillen, my loyal handsome young adult son,
recognizes discrimination,
marginalization,
poverty
in comparison to outcomes for self-medicating with alcohol.
It’s a cultural thing that old people do to his Transmillennial Generation,
like declaring wars so they can learn to fight each other,
while elders suck our fat wealth deposits into
sport cars of shifty ludicrosity.

Dillen’s skills do not include multiplication,
much less division,
but he knows when justice divides his population of young adults
looking for their first jobs,
so they don’t have to live under the tyrannical oppression
of their parents.
Self-medicating with alcohol can easily pass a drug screen test
with one day notice from Human Resources,
while Dillen watches from the other side
of this divide.

Can he get through at least eight weeks without medication
that actually does seem to help him feel and think better
of and with himself,
and,
given any doubt that any of this makes any sense,
how long before he stops bothering to apply for any hope of a full life?

Dillen understands the justice and injustice of attending a horribly designed State contracted job training program,
to sit for eight unpaid training hours,
for at least four weeks,
probably six or even more,
in a summer classroom with no windows,
with 29 other ADD and ADHD medicated trainees,
to face the dismissive derision of their trainer
for being who they are,
losers who will never actually be sent through to the paid employment stage of this card-shark process,
violating perhaps every justice principle intended by the Americans with Disabilities Act,
while drawing full Job Coach Trainer pay at my tax dollar expense.

Dillen was not outraged that the State had no record of contractual oversight,
no evidence that anyone who did eventually get paid could not have done so with one week’s unpaid training,
no evidence that there were no other training contractors with the capacity to avoid violating the civil rights of those supposedly receiving a service with positive outcomes,
rather than rejection and dispossession and dismissal and further hopelessness outcomes.
Dillen was not alarmed that the Commissioner,
his own State Senator,
his US Senator,
the ACLU,
did not seem to raise so much as one eyebrow
to a misuse of public dollars and trust
with outcomes that could not even perform at the thinnest level of justice:
If you cannot do any good,
at least be sure you cause no harm.

Dillen has become used to an economic and cultural ecology
that does not include him,
and others who look and act and perform and breathe and beat their hearts,
and try to balance their bicameral hemispheres as best they can
in a “Business-As-Usual-Means-You-Do-Not Matter” environment.

So, Dillen reminds me of what I recognized long ago,
growing up gay male in a homophobic
hetero-dominant
culture.
I am reminded of what it means to have no economic right to employment
and no ecologically supported right to love,
to be valueless human nature
intrinsically mendacious
negatively deviant from all that is universally orthodox goodness,
that justice could not include any marital relationship within a Beloved Community,
could not include acceptance as a healthy soul
or body
or identity,
as the appropriate offspring of socially acceptable justice.

Dillen’s bottom line,
“If they wanted to abuse us,
then I wouldn’t have minded so much
if they were at least going to pay me.
I’ll be The Man’s whore if I have to,
but I won’t be his bitch.”

Peaceful Losers

Patching up enslaving hatred is sure to leave some hated aftermath.
How can this be regarded as tolerable,
these interior human natured self-hatred transgenerational aftershocks?
Therefore Wisdom holds the Yang as Loser paradoxical space,
And does not dispossess guilt toward any Winners.
Virtue, like indentured servitude, is for coredemptive patching up;
Violence of enslaving hatred is for assigning Loser guilt.
But, the way of wisdom is partial toward inclusive Winners;
Siding only with coredemptive dispossessive losers
of enslavement, possession, cancerous wealth of entitled self-hatred
and fear of death as loss.

A logical conclusion of suicidal planning,
irrationality,
feeling internally overpopulated,
is to both stop absorbing positive nutrients (divestment),
and to begin a practice of absorbing only toxins
and collateral damage, (high-risk investment),
abuse acting faster than mere neglectful impoverishment,
marginalization,
suppression
oppression of identity,
the more aggressively and consistently aversive,
the faster our inevitable dead result.

So, the ecologic of diastatically positive and rational life
is to intentionally absorb only positive nutrients
and to minimize absorption of toxins
and collateral corporate insult,
injury,
abuse,
and neglect,
violence and dissonance,
addiction to victimization and possession.
Ego’s self-mentoring lessons must seek stewardship
responsibility and accountability

There is nothing weaker than water
But none is superior to it in overcoming the hard,

That weakness of mind and body overcomes strength
And unitarian co-gentleness overcomes universalist rigidity,
No Yang does not know;
No yin can put into practice.

Therefore the Sage Says:
“Who receives unto self the MLK calumny of the world
Is the preserver of an equilibrious state.
Who bears the dissonant sins of the world’s living systems
Is the resonantly full-conscious mentor within this NOW world moment.”

Prophecy’s weakness is lack of redemptive empowerment.

The strength of prophecy

is its weakness

Too much dissonance is dismissed as insanity

and therefore not redemptive.

When Yin-Water absorbs Earth,
then She becomes stagnant entropy,

disorganized
dissonantly dismayed
unable to continue flowing,

fluxing,
surfing.
A Universalist Yin EcoCenter
evolves as stagnant pond
what were dynamic rivers,
seasonally surfing oceans–
a Holding Space wherein Time stands relativistically
and 3-dimensionally,

understands love as “kindness.”

as panentheistic and teleological “love”
evokes mutual, co-redemptive, namaste–
A Buberian mutually mentored I-Thou bow.

Love,
mutual gratitude of synergetic energy,
requires a Bucky Fuller dynamic balance
between freedom to comprehend and embrace
our eco-center in each eternal moment,
as subconscious freedom from awareness of only Ego,
our more limited Left-brain’s “small-self” center.

Kindness, and unkindness,
are gratefully, and rudely,
extended, not extended,
to ourselves as empathized “Other.”
These are ego-ionic actions
to teach us how to be more mutually generous
in each of our primal relationships
with Love’s ecological comprehension
of Time’s Yangish and Yinnish rebalancing ways.

What is fair,
within contentious issues,
is found where our mutually held eco-center points,
always wu-wei midway between
the most Yang-power value extreme
and the most Yin laissez-faire “both-and” inclusively unitarian absorbency.
Nature abhores a perfect vacuum of either Yang or Yin;
omnisciently insists on Left with Right languaged intelligence.

When we identify with a “downstream” yin position,
our underdog empathy extends to include
reaching toward increasingly marginalized and irrational
“Other” position of empathic identity.
Our eco-centric Right-brain starts from this position,
as a holonic reiteration of “Self’s” encultured history,
then flows economic and ecological “generosity”
of loving values
“upstream” toward our mutually mentored,
taught,
tautly experienced,
planted and rooted and trimmed and pulled, and encoded lexicon,
decomposed and empathized,
intuited Yang position,
looking for that tipping point boundary of the collective unconscious
wide enough to capture all synergetically oriented reiterators
racing issues through our surfing moments and lives.

Justice trickles up and out,
as well as down and in,
washing back and forth through fields of unconscious cognitive dissonance,
to emerge toward a consensus of collectively generous,
but not overly generous,
merciful,
inclusive coredeemer ecojustice.
An enculturation laundry,
but go easy on the yin-bleach.

If I lacked something of the “underdog,”
the “understory,”
the “criminal” and “crazy”
within my holonic human nature,
then my nature would be neither holonic nor human.
Yang’s “bad boy” universalist megalomania
and sociopathological ego-power
is a challenging competitive dimension
within our ego-centric,
anthropomorphic view
of evolution’s meaning;
while Yin’s ubiquitous “Other”-love as “Self,”
generosity to the extreme of unitarian self-exiting wishfulness,
is our more primal RNA holonic-cellular intelligence
of generosity’s ecological win-win scenario,
devoid of ego’s self-distinguishing,
and often dissonant,
and too loud,
and Left-brain dominant,
voice and language.

Kindness and unkindness are transactions between unequals.
Generosity and stinginess of empathy,
what eco-consciousness invites
as appropriately proportional response,
are transactions between mutual mentors
of gratitude, and lack thereof.

Differences between ego’s intended kindness
and eco’s well-practiced generosity
include a Taoist position that kindness and unkindness
are not found in nature,
although love,
as synergetic mutual gravity,
is the source of natural systems,
of bilateral life and time,
as opposed to the existence of…
well…
nothing; entropic unconsciousness.

Kindness suggests I am extending something to another
that this person has not earned,
does not rightfully and justly deserve
within the normal flow of time’s river.

Generosity is a mutually intended practice
of radical equanimity and empathy,
a grateful acceptance of our profound interdependence
of cause and effect,
stimulus and response.
Generosity is about absorbing and hopefully co-redeeming
our mutual assets and liabilities
to resolve an issue
whose outcome can be a mutual win
from a position of profoundly radical
coincidental/correlational
mutually mentored co-identity.
Trans-parentcy.

You have shown me who you are right now
so I may choose to respond
with who we could become right now
if we move from this position forward
within our positively synergetic, generous, practice
of mutual namaste.
