When I was in an interfaith seminary
I noticed three models
for understanding a faith community’s purpose
in a democratic and diverse society.

  1. Conservation of SelfRighteous Anger

To compete with,
and thereby degenerate the powers of,
sin and evil and ignorance
in a monoculturally untrustable
hedonistic
degenerating society
destined for just rewards
of hellfire and damnation
because untrustworthy
and untruthfully obscuring privileged
eco-political capitalist patriarchalism.

  1. Liberating from EgoCentered Fear

To rescue us individual sinners,
benighted Earth defilers,
from our capitalist-patriarchal
competitive
oppressive
suppressive anti-feminist
homophobic
racist
ageist anthropocentrism;

To redeem our hopelessly negative
deviant bad health choices,
monoculturing,
left-brain dominantly encultured
verbal miscommunications,
disunions,
despairing experience of eternal apartheid,
loneliness,
unease and disease.

  1. Empowering win-ego/win-eco CoMessiahs
    To cooperatively enlighten each Other
    to grow in compassion
    and non-violent integrity of communication,
    internal communion experience

Restorative Justice
was never intended to be effective
where either victims
or predators
are unwilling,
often incapable,
of re-engaging in cooperative
interdependent
win/win dialogue,
egalitarian discernment
in-between Trust
and MisTrust
and hostile DisTrust.

So you argue
win/win regenerative assumptions
of natural/spiritual creatures
are not safely,
and not realistically, accessible
for all the healing dreams and purposes
endemic to our Gaian muse of Justice?

An insufficiency
of experience

where victims and a healthy society
are presumed to Win

Retributive Justice
is the State’s weapon
to protect the Common Good
from further injustice,
a deterring threat;
not a tool
or medicine
toward an actively remediating peace,

or public resonant health.

How do you respond
to peace therapeutic win/win possibilities
of multiculturally mediated dialogue
to bring together victim compassion
with wrongdoer remorse,
without hyperactive threat of criminalization;
As compared to current Retributive Justice outcomes,
case loads,
imprisoned and exploited populations
of marginalized misfits,
disproportionately poor
and dark-skinned?

Traditional patriarchal systems
do not over-invest
in democratic health
or rights
of our predative
and victimized,
traumatized
feminized
marginalized
raped and pillaged citizens,
as these are not well-established
in win/win cooperative investments.

I’m not sure
arguing for further patriarchal
competitive win/lose capital-investments
helps your justice through win/lose punishment
cause.
You invite the Court to question
whether anyone is capable of sufficient Trust
toward resiliently democratic peace,

healthy democratic choice-making,

One of my several disabilities
of personal knowledge
through experience

is to know what estrogen-driven “horniness”
might feel like,

focusing on a rapturous Heavenly climax
after the straight white Father’s great self-righteous

Which is something rather punishingly different
and anxiety reproducing
as compared to anticipating

What, of your own potential integrity,

and faith-filled curiosities,
is your current internal monocultural win/lose efficiency
for hoarding currencies of social success markers,
such as “annual six figure income”?

What and whom are you willing to leave behind?

How do your faith communities shut out awareness
