Bertrand Russell
was intrigued by systems theory,
appalled by systemic racism
within himself and others,
corporations and churches
not recognizing each other’s wisdom
also found in temples and synagogues
and community investment banks
and poor houses.

He was also interested in political philosophy,
power of aristocrats
anticipating growing personal economics
despite offering no respite
to green/blue democratic EarthLovers.

A contemporary of Einstein’s,
who shared Russell’s political philosophy
and perhaps his interest in 4Dimensional
prime NonZero-entropic space/time
co-arising dipolar bilateral systems,

Russell writes,
“The reason physics has ceased to look for causes
is that, in fact,
there are no such things.
The law of [unilateral linear] causality
is a relic of a bygone age,
surviving, like the monarchy,

Anxiety pulls toward distraction

Attachments and Aversions

I wonder if
what Buddhist classic meditation teachings
refer to as “attachments”
and “aversions,”
a Western medical doctor
might label with different words,
such as addiction
and dissociative diversions.

In both frames
negative illusions may be recognized
and appreciated
as deep opportunities to learn;

Negative delusions are not accurately cognized
and are depreciated
as too risky
not to repress
and hide
from any therapeutic
transporting
transparent (not self-shaming)
and vulnerable (not self-blaming)
communication
with our contemplative EgoTherapist within
and our medical-model EcoTherapists without.

Positive illusions,
attachments and/or addictions,
may be accurately cognized
as sensory attractions,

Whether smells and/or tastes,
touch and/or feelings,
sight and/or sound,
eco-reception and/or mind/body communication,
exterior and/or interior,

May have potential
to therapeutically transport
away from addiction
and toward less ego-obsessive attraction,
and away from self-serving,
potentially predative, attractions
to positive sensory pleasure,
cooperatively intended
hoped
faithed
loved,
eco-politically
and personally
and bilaterally
and bicamerally healthy wealth
of becoming completely satisfied
sufficient
simple
centered in HereLeftYangSpace/NowRightYinternalTime
and in past sensory satisfying memories
and in future images
imagination of pleasures
climatically encompassing
all of the above.

Addiction to cooperative multicultural
multigenerational
regenerational
and bicameral
bilateral peak sensory experiences
could be a healthier opportunity
than addictions to competitive ego-monoculturing
and mono-atheistic
and autonomous predator/prey
sensory risk ambivalence

Where things don’t necessarily smell
or taste inviting,
don’t necessarily feel grateful to touch
or feel inside my mindbody,
don’t necessarily transcendently transport
when compromised win/lose beauty seen
and ambiguously uninviting truth heard,
falling short of healthy co-addiction
to Earth’s vast multicolored wealth
of sensory ultra-nonviolent

Audacity of Green Democracy

Are you,
or have you ever been,
a Trumpist?

Asks the Restorative Justice Committee
inviting an open discussion
with Christian evangelicals
about their new green global loyalties

And how this anticipation
of restoring justice
through green/blue climates
and unred-undominating cultures of peace
has been influenced,
or not,
by EarthPatriotic repentance.

In hindsight,
said a representative
of the StraightWhiteMale Clergy Association,
I first began reflecting on,

“Who is my social capital competitiveness
willing to sacrifice,
to actively or passively bully,
shun,
ignore,
disempower,
leave behind as a ‘loser’
so I could more clearly emerge
among my monoculturing peers
as an orthodox redmeat ‘winner’
a God of Retributive Justice emulator,
judge,
blamer and shamer,
violent miscommunicator,
win/lose evolutionist
of a discontinuously transcendent
slowly degenerating undivine EarthView.

Willing to sacrifice
and capitalistically bully Earth Her sacred Self,
in my shunned silent closet
focusing on a rapturous Heavenly climax
after the straight white Father’s great self-righteous
rapacious red rage.

Which is something rather punishingly different
and anxiety reproducing
as compared to anticipating
a green EarthBound Rapture
catalyzed by healthy democratic empowering
and cooperatively enlightening restoration
of ego/eco-therapeutic EarthJustice.

What, of your own potential integrity,
internal multicultural interests
and faith-filled curiosities,
is your current internal monocultural win/lose efficiency
for hoarding currencies of social success markers,
such as “annual six figure income”?

I’m not sure I understand your question.
Is our household income over $100,000?
Am I a faithful federal military-industrialized taxpayer?
Yes, of course.

What and whom are you willing to leave behind?

How do your faith communities shut out awareness
of other green restorative currencies for success,
such as integrity,
multicultural, multigenerational neighborhood social synergy,
win/win commitments to inclusive consciousness,
to transparent authenticity,
to vulnerability
willing to risk personal honesty
about closeted red deviancy,
feelings of undemocratic evangelical supremacy?

I’m hoping those are rhetorical questions?

Oh ye of little green faith
inadequate to anticipate opportunity
to more deeply learn
who we are becoming
as an interfaith multicultural health wealthy family,
a global neighborhood communion,
a diverse mutually absorbing ultra-nonviolet community
free of dreaming up more red fear
and blue/green free for transparent cooperative curiosity
and win/win co-empowerment
and holistic open systemic co-enlightenment.

Now who’s bullying
and overpowering
and not effectively communicating
so much as competitively evangelizing?

Who and what do your religious dogmas
exclude from grace
that your spiritual and natural cultural interests,
your attractions and anxieties
would include as stretch goals
for better health communication
which includes respectful listening more
and disrespectful preaching less?

If you wouldn’t mind,
could we turn your question around?
How are eco-political you,
and how have we forever audaciously become,

If I may suggest
a possible improvement
in mystic teachings
about healthy meditation experience,
structure,
discipline,
neurological
and psychological
and, in more advanced classes,
sociological
cultural
and political correctness,

I would compassionately ask
if we have not spilled
rather too much verbal ink
attending to cognitive awareness
and not enough
on affective
contextual
interdependently felt intelligence,

Distinguishing subtle nuances
ambiguity
everyday mundane in-between nest
of empowering anticipation feelings
(not merely win/win revolutionary awareness)
and disempowering darker anxiety feelings
(not just win/lose

I’m Fine

His life felt sick.
Filled with ick

And she was sighing,
inside dying.

Yet, when asked,
her response
entirely unresponsive,
“I’m fine.”
puts her compassionate listener
in a double-bind.

Do I ask her if she is intentionally lying
or irresponsibly
out of her self-isolating mind?

Neither one
feels more kind
and patient,
still, uncommunicating
and yet curious.

Could it be
she is embarrassed
about being merely mortal?

A caregiver
without sufficient tools
or even weapons
to assure EarthTribe’s
resonantly healthy non-confrontations
with degenerative trends
sometimes overwhelming
normal regenerative
narrative twists and bends,

A mother
who must only be
an omnipotent caregiver,
without sustained support
as one of us
co-arising care receivers?

What good is universal health care giving
without reciprocal
compassionate care receiving?

And, how could we,
why would we,
when should all Earth’s caregivers
deny our patriarchal climates
of pathology?

When our allies are sick

An Anxiously Anticipated Event

Dear John,

All day
yesterday
I loaded up with a cascading river
of mixed anxiety and anticipation
about what to safely and kindly,
transparently and vulnerably
compassionately, so non-violently, share
communicate;

Which narrative tributaries to choose
within this vast spacetime stream
of choices
directions
felt depressions and erections.

Do you remember
communication theory
framed as Rhetorical Events?

Our initial walk and talk,
eating together,
rather than my refrigerator foraging
brunchtime usual rawfood practice,
is a graced green,
rain giving way to blue, memory for me,
and, I hope, for we
these sacred walking
secular talking
people.

Successful rhetorical events,
as I recall,
and have co-passionately experienced
with ecstatic thrills
and mysterious chills of anticipation,
wanting more and more
cascading throughout my too isolated life,

Are cooperatively held spaces
resonant and verbal and non-verbal places
longing to become resilient
as ultra-violet light
in phosphorescent mystical night,
bright
and warm
without ballistic fright,
inviting sounds of sight.

So I drove home
basking in such rich
potentially resilient
transparent and vulnerable
articulate yet impassioned
felt experience
confirming all my own ego’s grand theories
about win/win non-violent
Rhetorical compassioning
Events.

My anxieties spoke later
about mutual physical
natural, yet also spiritual,
attraction–
this smell and taste neurological chemistry
of touch exhaling
to co-empathically predict
our romantically felt quality
inhaling integrity’s great resilient passions,
shared loves
communal,
deeply green cooperative,
that rhetorical day
as true and beautiful for us.

It has been thirty years
since my last first date,
with a man who became my unanticipated husband,
partner
spouse
lover
quarreler
critic
listener
emotive voice
co-investor
political ally
communicator
miscommunicator
long-term rhetorical event
cooperative space-holder,
mediator
not really quite green enough
for resonant felt
and thought co-passionate experience
near our end
of cohabitation.

Nearly half my lifetime,
thirty years,
and I feel anxious
I have not yet learned
appropriate new old person rules
of transparency
and vulnerability
to be clear
and kind,
compassionately clear
about my natural/spiritual
physical/metaphysical attractions,
anticipations,
anxieties.

When I last dated
a gay encounter of the first kind
either ended nakedly together
or with a scheduled second date
with a bed
or a sling
or a deserted moonlit beach
front and center on our anticipated menu

Or ended in disaster,
no connection,
no further warm and resonant communication,
no passing green light Go!

I did not “date”
men who lived so very far away,
out of state,
unless one of us was planning to relocate
or both of us were anticipating
an extremely resonant
one hot night stand
lying down together,
exploring all the vertical
and horizontal dances
we could imagine ever wishing we had done
to further gather
future’s warm anticipations.

I am anxious
because I do not want to disappoint you
or me
about our embodied
non-verbal communication
and passion together.

My own nakedness
lies nowhere near my vulnerable
and transparent self-esteem
as was the case
when I last dated
and I do not know
what to do
and not do
with that.

I have no mentors,
no wise teachers,
no therapeutic facilitators,
no sex therapist
to talk and touch me through
this anxiety.

But, I do anticipate
an unfortunate comparison
I met on our silvered dating site
the same day I first heard you
connect climate pathological effects
with capitalistic causes,
which immediately won my curiosity
to know
just how deeply knowing
we might go
together,
and not apart.

I met another singer
another meditator
another deeply
physically connected
to Taoist sensory communication
yangly verbal and yin non-verbal,

More physically incarnated
and less metaphysically abstract
less theoretical
merely rhetorical
more mature
aged
connected like wine with cheese
and re-connected
than my own experience
in how to mutually
yet maturely
please.

Last evening we talked.
His voice sings and rings,
warmly chills and quietly thrills.

And, he is closer.
Teaches dance.
We anticipate learning together
how to tango horizontally
without creating an entangled mess
at our ripe old average age
of 69

Which,
when I last dated
was a cooperatively rhetorical
erotic position
and not an age
which we sensually anticipated
without great anxiety
about resilience
of sensual resonance.

For me,
this need not be a win or lose,
either-or situation.
Even less so
if I thought the two of you
would appreciate each other
in this partner searching
lifeline rivered
shivered way,
but that is not what I would anticipate
either of you would say.

So, that is what is on my mind
and heart
and root chakras
this another deep green
ego-centering
and ecosystemic rhetorical day.

Said my vertical horizontal way,
physical and metaphysical
natural and spiritual
secular and sacred
love with you
and hell to pay,
anxiously anticipating
your kind
non-maligned
response.

and compassionate,

for nurturing witchy
deeply green queer

MotherEarth indigenous sacred healing circle
