Relationships I Hope For

I need clear blue rivers of life
to not always flow away from me,
in some direction
I can’t
or won’t
go right now.

I need green commitments to home
to feel mutually nurturing,
sheltering,
organic,
peaceful,
cooperatively engaging
in nonviolent communion,
co-passionate integrity
of sacred emergent space.

I need the sky
to not always feel grey,
dampening my curious natural spirits.
Instead,
I want to always imagine,
as needed,
as invited,
as if sun summoned,
a radiant blue sky
singing reflections
of invisible spinning stars
on the other
lighter side
of deepest icy winter’s
dense
dull
dark cloud bank
of settled in oppression.

I need rich black soil
to support my feet,
my nose,
my stomach,
green trees,
brightly colored plants
and amazing animated animals
giving back robust excretions,
reparations for past extractions,
borrowed co-investments
infesting EarthTribal
creolizing rich brown humus.

I need my rain-bowed neighbors
to notice
applaud
cheer
celebrate
when two elegantly athletic white swans
sensationally fly upstream
to hang out at our downtown harbor
where we eat
and drink,
rest
and float,
dream
and gloat,
on land
and sandy water,
at least side by side,
if not honking happy
swimming together.

Less Challenging Dances

I find it easier
and, admittedly, more fun
to climb through tough terrain,
piles of leaves,
loose rocks,
debris,

If
and when
my goal is not to push sweaty through
by force of independently superior will,

But
to dance
with EarthTribe’s diverse
and miraculous co-creations,
sometimes feeling monstrous,

While marching
up our co-arising
complexly gorgeous,

Some might say “athletic”
hill.

And, when more still,
too quiet to dance,
advance,
transport myself
from points A
through fully alphabetized Z

I sit with members
of my inter-connecting choir
to sing my solo
inside dialogues
and depressingly competitive debates

Rituals of stuck
in ambiguous refrains
and angry rounds
of songs I’ve come to care for
yet fear to unload out loud

Taking turns
to catch up
and on
and on
without permitting any advice
ever
regardless of how unilaterally wise,
nor comment
before this circling non-dialogue
completes the time allotted
for this therapeutic day
of deeply listening monologue.

And then my dance
begins inside
as sung by curiosity.

Open ended,
round and full of comprehensive stretches
across all open intersectional space
and sufficient
efficient
inter-connected time
to rhyme our stories
sung in resonance
of universal therapy
for uniting traumas.

But curiosity
does not predict
responses right
and wrong
or either serenely left
or redly fight.

Curiosity draws
us out toward undiscovered
yet felt recovered
resonance
reconfirming choirs of angels
singing Earth’s therapeutic climates
of bravely danced
resilience.

Strategic Considerations

Maybe it’s just me, hanging around with nonviolent communication students and teachers too much. But,

Always the big, “BUT”

But,…maybe AND is more appropriate.

And, if Putin’s big concern is to spoil Ukraine’s hunger to join NATO, then a full military assault seems maybe counterproductive, killing women and children, bombing bread lines and schools. Wouldn’t that kind of thing be why Ukraine is looking for NATO alliance, because of concerns that Putin and his overpaid Generals might forget that carrots are more effective than sticks when you are trying to persuade less wealthy, and more hungry for safety, people that your big stick next door isn’t an unfortunate event threat to their carrot crops and tops, and all those other greens and blues and even reds; who seem to have a peculiar affinity for ballistic sticks, even when spoons of sugar are so much less expensive, less damaging to well-manicured nails, and landscapes. The important classy stuff making up a delicious series of more fortunate events.

When I was trying to persuade those bratty neighbor children that they need not gang up against my less-affluent kids, it didn’t occur to me to lob grenades over the fence, instead of suggesting a pizza party. But maybe that was mainly because I was hungry too, for food, and health, and safe nonviolence.

oppositionally defiant individuals,

ego-self-righteous

Rapists
with rapid-fire militarized
Take Up PatriarchalCapitalist Arms
against Motherers,

Angry
and coldly calculating
Murderers,

Enslavers
Hate Preachers
Right means Fight teachers
Avoidance Addictors,

And their neglected
mental/spiritual unhealthy
Followers

Often with police
or militantly commodified retaliation histories
speaking in Wins
for Good Straight WhiteMale privilege
so must Lose
Other rivalrous voices

Blind to win/win restorative peace
and EarthJustice

Where compassion begets potential
for growing cooperatively held
compassion
through nonviolent communication

Verbal light
emerging from nonverbal life,
secularly spoken
yet sacredly felt,
ecologically healthy
begets theologically wealthy
polyculturing communion.

Anger,
fear,
and hate speak harm
where unconditional regard
listens for healthcare giving
and receiving reciprocity,

For whole-sum light of love,
for compassionate win/win healing
EgoCenters
thriving in rich organic EcoSystems
of living wealth.

Passionate anger
is not an intrinsic dark evil
nor does immature selfishness
always lead to egocentric greed
and hoarding
and aggression
sourcing original win/lose sins
of dark oppression
and disempowering violence.

Anger and greed and fear
are daily warnings
that our nationalistic
PatriarchalCapitalist cultural road
to internal health
and external peace
is more likely sufficient
through lovely PolyCultural Communion healing
revealing transparent
and vulnerable compassion dreams.

Sacred Earth Communion
may begin by simply taking a breath
to remember rainbow ecosystemic synergy
of humane light
shaping divinely synergetic powers
of healthing life

Just as anger begets anger
