Real estate buying and selling businesses,
professionalized,
specialized
competitive capitalist agency

Began with commercial
corporate relocations
and quickly spread
to domestic competitions
to sell high
and buy low.

Highest and best competitive use
has become an industry maxim
for facilitating transactions
of human housing habitats–
less concerned than another time
for humane home sacred ecohabitats.

How would real property look and sound,
touch and feel,
smell and taste
healthier and wealthier
if we were to reconsider this maxim?

Silent UnPrivileged Stories

When I was a Big Brother
for Jason,
an African-American 10 year old male,
we went into his apartment
so he could look around
for a long overdue library book.

As I accompanied him
from room to sparsely furnished room,
looking in nearly vacant closets,
cupboards,
drawers,
the only book we found
was a phone book,
looking silently neglected
much more than actively abused.

My first white male privileged
feelings about his Mom
had to do with blaming her
for probably not even feeling ashamed
for her irresponsible choices
while economically and politically administering
their bookless house
in this pre-WWW information age.

But, then I began asking questions.
What could Jason tell me
about his Mom’s life
when she was his age?

What were stories
familiar to her,
read
or retold
or experienced
and re-experienced,
therapeutic or traumatic?

Through this widening narrative moment
of multigenerational conjecture,
hypothesis,
questioning,
contemplating,

I also learned to question
what traumatic straight white male stories
are experienced by gay
and bisexual
and transsexual 10-year-olds,
regardless of racial identification,

And by 10-year-old girls,
perhaps regardless of racial identification,
or even further amplified
by being doubly,
and silently, outside
straight white patriarchal privilege.

I found myself
suddenly
tearfully
incapable of briefly imagining
much less deeply,
unflinchingly contemplating
the trauma
of growing up poor
and lesbian
and black or brown
or too red
or too yellow
without any books
or stories,
read
or retold
or experienced
about how her 10-year-old life will matter,
could be healthy, someday,
would ever be felt safe,
unless held shamefully silent,

Not appropriate material
for books
or retelling
or experiencing straight
white
male dominant stories,
economic
and political narratives
about retributive trauma
and not multicultural
restorative
democratically inclusive therapy.

Defending Democratic DogLives

Dear Thom the Train

Defender of all Creatures
here below
in these DisUniting States
of throwback uncivil disunion,

What is your root foundation
for a constitutional argument
that all living residents
of these remaining United Democratic States
have a right
to restoring healthy justice,
to resiliently retaining healthy life?

Is this sacred democratic Source
inter-related with values
like well-being
prosperity
liberty
public health optimization,
declarations of defensive rights
for all Creation
to freely seek democratic empowerment
and liberating enlightenment?

Non-royalist
non-fascist
non-authoritarian
non-patriarchal
non-colonizing
non-racist
non-demonizing
non-anthropocentric,
non-xenophobic
non-narcissistic
non-egocentric
and, thereby, pro-green new and ancient win/win deals.

I am not a lawyer,
as you can clearly already hear,
but more of a constitutional
polycultural historian,

So, how do you briefly argue
in courts of your licit choosing,
an evolutionary theory
of democracy still healthily emergent?

Starting with straight
white
patriarchal property owners
of
African and Native American
domesticated and feminized
economic and political
natural and spiritual slaves,

Moving multiculturally out
to include prisoners
and homeless shelter dwellers,
human
and now our imprisoned
and life-endangered dogs
and cats,
horses
and cattle,
birds
and guines pigs
of democratic tensions
intentions
extensions
of dominating fraternity
and liberating sorority.

History shows
where our constitutional democratic story began
with white straight male slave-owner privilege,

But, how do you predict where
and when this evolving
expanding
emergent cooperative health-wealthing
cooperative reality
should
or could
or would globally end?

Or,
it is your brief courtship win/win position
that we must expect no such end
to this multiculturally revolutionary
democratic 20/20 revolution?

Moving from more Straight White Patriarchal
independence days
toward more resiliently fulfilling
Earth InterDependence Days
and sensory moonlit nights

Of freely orbiting stars
and planets
from democratizing Positive/Negative
Yang/Yin Energy

Empowering health,

Local Living Matters

I hear things right side down
and bottom left side up
as I get older
so consider the source.

Anyway,
I hear Colchester Connecticut Democrats,
and some cross-registering Republicans,
want to establish
a multicultural health commission
concerned about military
and local police mercenaries
feeling discriminated against,
picked on,
unloved,
left out,
under-valued,
ignored,
neglected,
abused,
shot at.

such a vast investment
in multicultural respect,
solidarity of resonance,
integrity of long-term resiience
through commitment to public dialogue
rather than contentious debate,
could only be justified
with quantitative data

Adding up how much
anti-militarism
and anti-police prejudice
exists
and costs
in Colchester.

In this political
and economic moment
of social cooperative distancing,
dissociation,
scape-goating,
rabid polarization,
toxic partisanship

We need a baseline,
says he,
of mutual disregard,
to measure regenerative progress
and/or degenerative retrenchment
from community integral investments
in health remediation,
inclusive wealth
for future cooperative governing generations.

And especially Not Straight Male Dominant
voices,

aggressive predation stories
of relentless win/lose debate
rather than cooperative win/win dialogue

Moving Through Urgent Forests

I claim a sit-spot
in a wildlife sanctuaried forest
just beyond my backyard,

And cycle there
while seeking a primary distinction
between sexual and sensual feelings
filters
frames,

Already peddling toward suggestions
my motivations for this direction
could be impure,
prurient,
certainly less than perfection,

But,
I am not right-brain deterred,
This forest is my familiar territory
where fools
and wise men
fear to tread
on resonant ecofeminists.

When seeking
imagining
experiencing
remembering sexual possibilities
and impossibilities,
attractions
and distractions
and unattractiveness
along my recycling way,
these remain ego-centered
self-serving
egotistic patriarchal,
left-brain economic-politically strategic,
monoculturing further dominance.

Sensuality
is more interdependent,
co-relational,
co-empathic
co-passioning
integral
intimate awareness
of external mind touch
with internal heart feelings,
heart-pumping uphill
and soul-relaxing downhill,
inhilling
and exhilling.

Waves of contrast
speak of comparative dipolar motivators
more longterm both/and satisfying sensuality,

Contradicted
against shorterm dualistic urgency
for my immediate sexual release,
my internal-only organic polyvagal climax
quickly moving from transcendent forest life
to demi-segregating death,

And then riding on in
and out
to reconnect with my ego/eco sit-spot
with embodied sensual narrative
of this one sacred/sexual life
living polypathically
lived rememory
reliving naked forest life
hopefully again
and recycling pleasure seating again.

Practice makes perfect,
so our great everyday pilgrimage teachers
messiahs

UnderStated Yet OverHeard

I’m not comfortable
talking about racial differences,

Or even racial
or sensual similarities.

I know what you mean
or maybe I do.
Something intimate and personal
about melanin
and hair qualities
and what lies red-blooded
under shared and segregated skin.

I remember when long hair quantity
was an anti-patriarchal political statement,
maybe even economic;
But not qualities
like “good” hair
or “black” hair
or “kinky” hair
or “Aryan” blond hair
or “much too blond” hair.

I’m uncomfortable
talking about kinky sex, too.

I’m hearing something about mixing
personal and political.

I know, right?

Like, when did the decision to have a baby
or not,
because of emergent climate pathologies,
impending drought
and hunger

Pandemics

Floods

Fierce and frightening windstorms

Failure of insurance
and financial
and healthy-democratic v fake-populist government systems
become more than merely personal?

I don’t know.
I’m starting to see reality of power-centers
the eco-Other way around.

Meaning…

That personal climates
and characteristics
are also politically empowering
and/or disempowering,
often with economic
investment and/or divestment
implications;
Not partisan, especially,
but essentially political,
like positive and negative cultural power.

When was the last time
someone told you,
“It’s not personal,
I’m just not ready to commit”
Or
“It’s not personal,
it’s just a time and money budget problem”
Or
“an administrative decision”
“come down from corporate”
“change in [impersonal, generic, general] policy”
“a decision [choice] made upstairs”
about a group of individuals
of which you, unfortunately,
are a now unwanted part.

As if,
because it’s political
or economic policy,
it can’t become legitimately felt as personal
disempowerment
or even familial empowerment;
like capitalistic corporately learned responses
to cultures of melanin
and kinkiness.

My favorite
is when people ask me
not to confuse religion
with politics
and economics.

I know, right?
Like most of Earth’s human population
could
or would place their faith
in politically impoverished
or economically disempowered
counter-cultural
communitarian cooperative communication
and spiritual and sensory education
and ecofeminist formation failing systems

Like ecologically failing subclimates
and theologically monoculturing racism
and sexism
and straight white patriarchal privileged
left-brain dominant systems.

Personal systems.

And political.

And economic.

And social-psychological

Multiculturally transmitted

Whether by democratic constitutions
or divinely inspired scriptures
or patriarchal lines of spiritual masters
teachers with diverse levels of aboriginal melanin,
and good or kinky hair,
and those upper eyelid folds
I’m not sure I Western trust…

A problem with using scripture
as a spiritual guide

More prominently
more fundamentally
more evangelically
than establishing a relationship with a mentor
a teacher
a spiritual director
facilitator
mediator
between egocentric LeftBrain dominant reading
and ecosystemic RightBrain sacred listening
for integrity
synergy
interdependent nuance
healing
divinely restorative justice,

When we first hear,
“God so loved Earth”
we naturally conclude
such compassion is incompatible
with God so loved all of Goddess Earth’s
living indigenous Tribes
regardless of colors
like green
red
yellow
brown
purple
violet
ultra-violet,
even burnt orange,
and black and white
which are more about oppositional contrasts
of light
and melanin
than any color
shade
tone brilliance or dullness
of left or right mind.

Then, later in the same verse
beloved by monoculturing missionaries,
we read
“Whosoever believes in God’s Son
will not perish
but have eternal life.”

As if these words also read,
“Whosoever does not LeftBrain hear
about God’s Great Messianic Historical Event
will perish
and will not have eternal life.”

Which RightBrain feelers for integrity,
listeners and discovers
of Win/Lose redemption-committed multicultural mediators
like Holy Spirits
universal Win/Win lovers,
compassionate teachers
and healthy resilient ecofeminist leaders
can transparently
and vulnerably hear
as a false negative corollary,

An illicit LeftBrain sin of omission
inappropriate for a universal EarthLover God

Made in humane LeftBrain verbal images
of judgment
Straight White Patriarchally entitled
to blame
and shame Others for ignorance
sin
failures of win/win universal principles
to remember to keep sacred
as Sabbath and Scripture

UnNatural Generalists

I am more of a generalist
than a specialist
on nature
and on nurture,
on secular
and on sacred,
on ecological healthy relationships
and on theological interdependence.

Still,
like most reflective beings,
