Another Storm

Another storm threatens to come in,
feeling my responsibility
for uncaring
and unresponsive history

Fearing you
more than loving us

Setting out your pails
and plastic tubs
to catch cold
and dreary drips

Impaled remembering
past wet enemies
becoming darker spots
as moisture threatens,
building mold untold
as yet
by angry lips

Dripping windowed frames
and ceiling fixtures
of your felt losses
not equally carried
by more comforted me
opaque with tender crosses

Buried
in how lonely
love can feel
hidden in Earth’s evolving top,
improbable to see

Our together threatening
leaky roof may drown,
which you would have fixed
some months ago,
if you could do so
on your own.

This storm pauses
and brighter rays suggest
a sun still shining
behind dark uncivil distress

Clouds could uncover
our disassociation,
poor and hovering
coveting a sun-drenched nation

Calculating our cost in cash,
but not in minds and bodies
to stop stormy smothers
of inside raining
draining issues,
deep core tissues
thundering crash

Warning we must get this done
before another wild wet storm
fearing you
more than loving us,
undone

Darker clouds build to leak again
while I explain why
you still can’t trust me
to invest in unstormed peace

A contenting roof
unconditionally done

So all EarthTribe
can safely put away our pails
and nails,
defensive weapons,
buckets,
overflowing pans
and spans of climate panic

Now rumbling receding thunder
of fearing you
more than loving us

Turns toward replacing damaged health,
repriming stains repainting wealth
of more warmly wild respect
while together musing
about who is bare surviving
and is not thriving
with what prestorming care,

Remembering who is dry
and fair
and prosperous
and why
we fear this tragic storm
more than loving weathered warm.

The Mural Project

Education Secretary Ellen,

Some of us
on the EarthCare Team
and also the Transport Solutions Committee
for special projects
are wondering
and, frankly, hoping

Your green STEAM students
and teachers
might research,
design,
and help residents paint
a historically accurate
AND polyculturally exquisite
series of murals

On our two-tiered
upper, more transcendently hopeful,
and lower, more historically faithful,
retaining walls

After our crumbling concrete parking pads
and steel-framed industrial artifacts
are hauled away
with respect and gratitude
for future repurposing

Our Transport Solutions
and EarthCare Elders
hope to use this transitional moment
to divert water runoff
to north and south bermed
and graceful descent
down toward our sacred RiverGaia,
rather than continuing to run
race
to disgrace our wet unhealthy basement

Thereby diverting soiled water stains
from historic runoff narrative face
retaining walled epic paintings,
perhaps combined with etching,
to tell a true and beautiful tale
about this sacred place
where we live
and work,
garden
and enjoy our EarthCare classroom
residence,
inside and outside

As did indigenously wise
Elders before us

And RiverGaia
learned Her future shape and flow
from ancient predative
cold
relentless icey white glaciers,

As will future natural construction
and deconstruction regenerators,
Thermal students
of green STEAM polyculturing Elders,
including co-invested us

and old Beauty Stories

Of how EarthCare givers
and health-care receivers
survived mistrust
to compassionately,

We are nearly all macro-economic capitalists
while hoping our neighbors
prefer micro-economic cooperativists

while burning up
and out.

Yet,
a Patriarchal Capitalist
has also fully monopolized
his LeftBrain lessons
and monotheistic idolizing faith
in micro-economic,
familial
monocultural tribalist,
nation-state exceptionalist,
straight white male privileged
zero-sum competitive commodified
consumer relationships

S/he continued
while drowning
in flows of negative isms
and mono-myopic jisms.

Patriarchal capitalist
mistake what I share,
how I gift
as a weakening sign
of old girl sacred grace;
worth no more than a debit
in my personal checking account

S/he observed
while giving out neuro-systemic love
co-investments
and dispassionately viral hate
divestments.

Patriarchal capitalists
may narcissistically fail to notice
Love costs nothing
and also heals lonely
lack of self-forgiveness wounds
inflicted by past complicated relationships
and lack of valued elationships;
AND
Hate costs everything,
leading to despair
about oneself,
about one’s species,
about one’s sacred home,
and planet

S/he said
while re-creating macro-economic
cooperative health systems
AND
A dark promise of unease
and climatic disease
for at least our next seven impoverished
unenlightened
disempowered degenerations.

Patriarchal capitalists
are anthrosupremacists,
believing only human matter
and matters
matter

S/he said
while re-connecting
Open Whole Organic Systems,
EarthTribe living networks
interdependently serving resilient
neurosensory healthy lives
of intrinsic
integral reweaving value.

And,
for a Patriarchal Capitalist,
any Thing without co-relational value
as at least a potential resource
for privileged Anthro survival
and symbols of thrival
or is a disvalue
in a ZeroSum liability or asset game,
either divinely Good
or inhumanely Bad,
hoarding inspired by Original Sin

S/he complained
while advocating
for primal compassionate
giveaway Attachment.

Patriarchal-Capitalism
and PolyCultural-Communion
are negative
and positive
two binomially often unknown
and unspoken worldviews
of LoseLose
and WinWin fractal frame
in every dialectical
bilateral
appositional relationship

S/he heard then said
smelled then tasted
touched then felt
perceived then saw
health then also resilient wealth.

Patriarchal capitalists
remain too comfortable
settling for hostile and predative,
angry and traumatized
polarized economic and political survivalist
outcomes

S/he thought
and engaged her preferential vocation
for healthy and safe
enriched and enlightened
cooperative thrival experience

On the other hand,
PolyCultural CoOperativists
share deeper local
and wider global values
for environmental health and safety
through macro-
and micro-economic mutual wins
through co-relationally co-passionate
multicultural values
setting Marx and Engel’s critical analysis
of capitalism aside,
Not so much because health advocates
benignly misjudge
win/lose competitive worldviews
of natural evolution
as our road toward
something better than growing
greed and hopeless perdition,
but because of Marx/Engel’s silence
on anthrosupremacist perils
of patriarchalism

S/he encouraged
micro-ego
and macro-economial
PolyCultural-CoOperativists
to think more strategically win/win
for health and safety opportunity,
to set aside Patriarchal-Capitalism’s
