I find a consistent
constitutionally protected value
hidden in Preambulation
and historical Declaration
reaffirming U.S. healthy democracy,
our Holy Grail.
Life
liberty
pursuit of happiness
well-being
During Enlightened Elder
1700s,
and still largely our worldview today
in deindustrializing MidWest
sweltering South
acid raining East
and, most mystically,
among empowered Californians
and Oregonians
and Washingtonians,
Healthy democratic intent
for integrity of humanity
supports HEALTHY life,
INTERDEPENDENT liberty,
and win/win pursuit
of resiliently SUSTAINABLE
happiness,
well-being,
peace.
This non-issue
of our constitutional republic,
with healthy,
growing
still-evolving
dynamic democratic intent,
purposed with sacred meaning
to nurture and support
HEALTHY life
Becomes more obvious
when considering what an “ethic of life”
would look like
if our eloquent ForeFathers
and wise GrandMothers
had UNhealthy life
as an economic
and political aspiration
Any quality of life,
regardless of how compromised
pathological
sinful
demented
unhappy
joyless
violent
pathological
ignorant
greedy
belligerent
traumatized
chronically stressed
dissociated
severed from a shared reality
of cooperative peace
and co-invested contentment
Could not be a consistent ethic,
or family morality,
of HEALTHY life
for all organic creations,
Not preferential for Straight White Men,
but a healthy polycultural democracy
to support healthy
interdependent
sustainable human lives
of all cultures,
inter-religious beliefs,
compassionate feelings,
nonviolent communications.
More recently,
ecologists
and creation theologists
and climatologists
have added an interesting footnote
to healthy democratic aspirations
If we would have
nutritionally
politically
economically healthy resilient lives,
Then we need
and want
to extend our democratically appreciated agenda
To include HEALTHY lives
of oceans,
forests,
river systems,
air,
bioregions,
food chain
interdependent
sustainable
life-care systems.
As far as I know,
my Republican friends
and family
share this expectation of our governors,
legislators,
executives,
court systems,
to seek HEALTHY life care
And, not so much
PATHOLOGICAL
diseased lack of caring
for all Earth’s sacred tribes,
species,
networks,
cooperative win/win
organically interdependent
sustainable health-care systems.
